• Mirka (10/5): Step back in time in this lovely and well run B&B. - We were able to step back in time in this charming, well preserved and we'll run Victorian B&B. The afternoon tea/wine and breakfast, which were included, were delicious. We loved the period appropriate music that played in the common areas of the house, the fireplaces, the history. The very short walking distance to the main street cafes and shops was a bonus. It was lovely and very much worth it. We stayed in a 4 person room and the mattress in one of the beds was very squeaky. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Snacks provided at tea time each day were also a big perk. The mansion was such a cozy experience. We loved our time spent at the mansion as well as exploring the town of Ferndale. Hiking and exploring the town made our time there very memorable. I fear future B&Bs may be ruined for me as this was my first time experiencing a true B&B experience and any future ones will have a lot to live up to! Highly recommend and thanks again to Olivia!

Staff is extremely cordial and spends time conversing with guests. Tea time from 4-6 pm with extremely sufficient which includes wines and or champagne with th delicacies. It’s just a delightful place to stay and has become a tradition for us.

• Safari47029143703 (10/5): Put Ferndale and the Gingerbread Mansion on your bucket list. You will not regret visiting this town or this B and B. - Fantastic B&B. The architecture and furnishings are remarkable. The Host is the best. She is also the chef and provides a delicious breakfast as well as an enchanting and delightful afternoon tea with desserts and appetizers. If you like the Victorian feel, you must go stay at the gingerbread mansion. We will definitely be going back.

• Sumanyu (10/5): Cute little place, good breakfast, perfect location for your gateway to the Redwoods. - Location, breakfast, friendly staff. The evening high tea was kinda underwhelming. Small selection of food.
• John (7/5): We had a lovely time and enjoyed tea on the porch in the evening. Also enjoyed the library. - Breakfast was very good. The outside garden was not as nice as expected. Flowers were pretty. It looked a bit run down and the front porch (glassed in area) was a bit messy and had a lot of cobwebs.
• Leo (10/5): Victorian stay - The Inn was beautiful, the staff exceptional, breakfast amazing, the wine and tea time in the afternoon perfect. It did not disappoint. Ferndale is a sweet Victorian town.
• Tom (10/5): - Garden area could use some work and would be very pretty. front porch cupola lots of dead bugs and cobwebs. Other than that overall a wonderful place to stay.

• Linda (9/5): The afternoon tea and beautifully decorated rooms totally transported us back to Victorian times! - THE nicest Victorian home we've ever stayed in with a welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, cozy fireplace lounging opportunities and a delicious breakfast. An eye for detail throughout. Personally, I have problems sleeping on a mattress that's too soft for me. The gardens, which I read were once perfectly maintained, now seem slightly neglected.

• Steven (8/5): Great overall. but make sure the smoke detectors are working - Breakfast was great. The location was exceptional. The bed was great. The showeer was exceptional. The smoke detector kept going on. Then when we called MGT, it went off for a little. Then it went on again. We had to get a ladder and take it off and take the battery out. That prevented one of us from sleeping

• Theresa (9/5): Lovely stay and lovely staff. - The breakfast was scrumptious and so was the afternoon tea. Eggs, biscuits, potatoes, fruit, optional gravy. All made very well. At tea you have a variety of great snacks as well as coffee, tea, or wine. No heat in the room and tv got one channel. Not a big deal though because the big claw foot tub gets very hot water if you want it.
• Michele (9/5): Superb - Olivia was lovely. She greeted us right away to welcome us and give us a tour of the mansion. Breakfast was fabulous! As was the happy hour upon our arrival. Olivia's recommendation of dinner at Tuyu's was spot on. Highly recommend the cantina side of Tuyu's. I enjoy my coffee in the morning, unfortunately when I went down at 7a.m. the coffee was cold from the night before. The bed in our room was too soft. Other than that, our stay was perfect.
• Colin (10/5): Exceptional - Simply wonderful! A beautiful property in a small quaint town Really warm welcome, beautiful quiet clean room. Welcome drinks, cheeses and snacks, communal wine area to meet and chat with other guests. Great location to have a wander around the town. Book this place, it will be a wonderful stay!

• Vbaker112 (10/5): A Charming Step into Victorian California - The exterior of the building has loads of Victorian charm. The interior of the building extends that Charming decor. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The Establishment is squeakly clean. We stayed in the room with the working fireplace and they had a log ready for us it was so charming. In the evening we sat on the upstairs back porch and had a cocktail which we we picked up in town. Dinner was at the Mexican restaurant and was very good. Unfortunately we had missed High Tea but we enjoyed breakfast which was unique and unusual. We had chia seed pudding with fruit and a blueberry muffin with orange juice tea and coffee. The Chia seed pudding which I have made once and thought was disgusting, was good enough that I asked for the recipe!! The blueberry muffin was to die for! There was plenty of hot water for the shower. The bed was comfy. Overall a Charming experience!

• T5527YRrc (10/5): Sweet Gingerbread Inn in quaint Ferndale - This was our first time here. The photos don’t do it justice! It was beautiful, clean and relaxing. Olivia welcomed us and checked in with us often to make sure we were having a nice visit and make sure we had all we needed. We highly recommend as a special getaway!

• Stefanie (10/5): - This house is just the cutest thing ever. Only my second B&B I've stayed in but I really enjoyed it. I did feel like we had to be so quiet or else I would wake the spirits in it. Was fun to explore the rooms that weren't booked, especially the Grand Room upstairs. Wow!! The water was hot and plentiful, the ambiance was peaceful, the breakfast was Delicious and not too much which I appreciate. Wish I lived closer because I would stay here just for the fun of it!!

• Patricia (10/5): Magical Stay at the Gingerbread Mansion - Our stay here was a delight. The attention to detail given to the property is remarkable and made for a magical stay here. The customer service, cocktail hour and breakfast were equally impressive. Our evening walk through Ferndale was enchanting. This place makes the endorphins flow!!!

My daughter and I enjoyed this treat and would love to stay again! - Loved the availability to see the unoccupied rooms, the tea time & the breakfast was delicious! The room had a few details that needed attention but were not enough to bring to the attention of the innkeeper. The sink plug did not work (the ring was broken) - so had to use a knife to help the water go down. The curtain in the bathroom was tattered and needed a bit of sewing. The patio could have used a sweep (though it was cold & we did not sit out there). Otherwise, it was above exceptional!

• Andrea (10/5): The most amazing hotel - The hotel was immaculate and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and catered to our needs (one vegetarian). It was the most special place that we’ve ever stayed and we will 100% be back in the future! We loved everything!
