• Sulma (8/5): - Excelente ubicación cercana a la gran vía. La limpieza diaria excelente. El baño con suficiente fuerza de agua. El aire acondicionado funcionó de forma espectacular. La recepción amable. Lo único es que la habitación que pagué era doble y el espacio era muy pequeño para dos personas si fuera el caso. Súper segura con entradas reguladas por tarjetas en 3 puntos. Elevador funcionando. Múltiples áreas de tiendas y comida alrededor. Recomendada si quieres un lugar para descansar luego de un día ajetreado por Madrid.

Tem um ótimo custo benefício, não vá esperando luxo, mas atende bem as necessidades. Tem uma cozinha, equipada já com microondas e geladeira, que foi perfeito pra gente.Chegamos a equipe foi super solicita e educada. O ar condicionado gelava muito bem mas o do meu quarto estava pingando eu só percebi que vi meu sapato encharcado. A fronha me parecia amarelada. Fora isso! É boa pra uma viagem curta.

En la cocina no disponen de cafetera solo una máquina que vende café y un hervidor de agua pero sin café de cortesía, tampoco hay tazas para preparar café. Si bien hay microondas solo hay platos y cubiertos descartables.

Bu çok güzeldi temizdi çatal kaşık tabak var kağıt olarak aperatif yiyebilirsiniz hazırlarsınız mikrodalga var, istasyona 4 durak metroya yakın sevdik yine de.

• Ana (10/5): Estancia muy cómoda - Hostal muy céntrico con un supermercado a 2 min, además de estar a 5min de Gran Vía. La habitación era bastante amplia con un balcón y, aunque el baño era un poco pequeño, suficiente para asearse cómodamente. Eso sí, la bañera era bastante alta y de entrada algo dificultosa si no tienes mucha agilidad o facilidad de movimiento. La limpieza fue bastante buena y repusieron el jabón y gel que necesitamos. En cuanto a elementos de la habitación, echamos en falta que hubiera perchas para colgar las toallas de baño y, por pedir, siempre se agradece una neverita. Por lo demás tenía 2 armarios amplios con varias perchas, un AC que funcionaba maravillosamente, bastante buena luz artificial tanto en baño como en la habitación en sí y un espejo de cuerpo entero fuera del baño. También decir que tiene una discoteca al lado, nosotros nos alojamos en fin de semana, y se oía muy de lejos los graves de la música, ni siquiera el jaleo que pudiera haber en la calle, por lo que tiene que estar bastante bien aislado. Por último, el personal que nos atendió fue muy agradable y pudimos dejar las maletas tanto a nuestra llegada, hasta que nos dieron la habitación, como el día que nos íbamos, sin ningún problema. En definitiva, para estancias largas quizás puedes echar en falta cosas, pero para pocas noches está fantástico y tiene lo básico.

• Noelia (4/5): - Es muy caro. Pagamos 370€ por 2 noches 2 personas en octubre. Para llegar al hotel, que hay que admitir que está relativamente cerca de Garn Vía, había que pasar por algunas calles que no tenían aspecto de ser muy seguras. El segundo día descubrimos una ruta que tenía mejor pinta. Nos alojamos en una habitación con una cama doble y otra individual. La habitación y el baño estaban limpios. Había un secador que estaba bien. La televisión es muy pequeña. Con todo esto aún podrías pensar que está bien pero el problema empezó de noche. La ventana está muy mal insonorizada y debajo hay un local de fiesta por lo que escuchas toda la noche gente hablando y música cuando abren la puerta del local, o sea toda la noche. Lo peor es que la puerta de la habitación no cerraba correctamente y dejaba entrar mucha luz y ruido por todos los bordes de la puerta. El ascensor estaba bastante sucio. En definitiva para el precio que tiene es un hostal malo.

However there is a night club right below so they are up partying in the street below our balcony until 8:00 am, every night and morning. The street washing crew came through on our last day and they were forced to leave at 8.

• Damian (8/5): Buen hotel para no acostarse temprano - Un hotel limpio y cómodo con un buen servicio y ubicación. Éramos dos y nos dieron un departamento con living y cocina. El único punto en contra es la discoteca/bar que está abajo y que se escucha a las personas gritando con algarabía, por lo que recomiendo no irse a dormir temprano.

• Daumelis (2/5): - No es aconsejable para nada por muchas razones. La señora del front desk es lo peor del establecimiento, le tuve que llamar a la policía en dos ocasiones. Nos abrió la puerta diciéndonos que si estábamos apuradas q si somos estupidas, jilip… ahí automáticamente le dije señora cálmese o le llamo a la policía. Me dijo si la llamas te cancelo la reserva y le dije pues ahora te la llamo. Llego la policía y me dio una hoja d e reclamaciones. La segunda vez fue porque yo estaba en el balcón esperando que la chica de la limpieza terminara de recoger y limpiar y ella entró pensando que yo no estaba y empezó a tomarle fotos a todas mis cosas y le reclame diciéndole que porque ella tomaba foto y me dijo con sus palabras textuales. Me sale del coñ….. ahí le volví a llamar a la policía y la policía le hizo borrar las fotos de su teléfono. La policía le exigió ver las cámaras y le dijo que ella no tenia acceso a las cámaras la policía le dijo que ya está era la segunda vez q pasaba eso con ellos, al parecer no fui la única en llamar a la policía. El cuarto tenía una peste horrible a pintura químico. Estuve 6 días soltando sangre Por la nariz con alergias. No había secadora de pelo. Se escuchaba todos los ruidos que hacía la recepcionista (Ester) de la que hablo antes. Por la noche no se puede dormir porque hay demasiados vagabundos en el edificio. No es un lugar seguro. La señora de limpieza no cambia las sábanas nunca en seis días. El balcón está asqueroso. Fuman adentro.Nunca vallan ahi

• Sarah (6/5): - Das Hostel hat eine sehr gute, super zentrale Lage. Das ist toll, da alles fußläufig erreichbar ist. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, das Bad recht klein, aber alles okay. Etwas veraltet, aber absolut in Ordnung, denn die zentrale Lage macht es zu einem guten Hostel. ABER: Leider spricht keine Person im Hostel Englisch. Der Check-in war sehr schwierig, da kein Gespräch möglich war. Hat sehr lange gedauert. Die Person ist aber sehr sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Es wäre dennoch gut vorab zu wissen, dass sie nicht Englisch sprechen. Der weitere Punkt ist, dass unter den Zimmern ein Club ist und man die ganze Nacht den Bass hört. Die Straße war trotz geschlossener Fenster sehr laut und die Gäste des Clubs waren bis früh morgens recht laut.

Checkin was seamless and as we are Gold members they upgraded us to the little apartment. This was our first time in a hostel so we weren't sure what to expect but for the cost it was a pleasant surprise! Excellent bed, pillows, blankets and we highly recommend if you are looking for a budget hotel close to everything in Madrid!

• Rocio (6/5): Idéalement situe, insonorisation a revoir - Nous étions dans la chambre N° 6. Points positifs: Propre; Le personnel était très gentil et attentive a ses clients. Le hostal est super central dans le cartier de Malasana et permet de faire a pied la plus part des attractions de Madrid A améliorer: Chambre petite et a l'ancienne (Rien a avoir avec la photo publié dans le site). Insonorisation à revoir, on entends clairement les voisins et la boite de nuit qui est juste en bas de l'hôtel e qui tourne jusqu'à 5h du matin . Dommage car pour le prix payé le fait de ne pas pouvoir dormir c'est embêtant.

Está muy bien el armario que es alto porque para prendas largas viene muy bien y esto es algo que no hay en casi todos los hostales.

• Andreia (6/5): Só vale a pena pela localização - O hostal é bem localizado, mas o quarto é muito pequeno e além disso o ar condicionado não estava funcionando. Nos hospedamos no final de agosto, ou seja estava muito calor e não dava pra dormir sem o ar. A recepção me sugeriu dormir com a já ela aberta, mas era impossível...muito barulho na rua e não entrava ar suficiente pra refrescar o quarto. No dia seguinte pedimos pra trocar de quarto, mas não foi possível...depois que reclamamos mais ainda nos ofereceram um ventilador, aí pelo menos conseguimos dormir.

• brian (10/5): Loved the Chueca location. - I was disorganized and didn't book a room till the last minute so I paid over $100 US for this tiny room, that being said the owner was very nice and the place was clean and tidy. Coffee machine in the lobby. It's on the 2nd (or 1st if your European) floor of a 6 floor building, really a hostel or pension. The owner (or manager) down the hallway like we were in a private home. So it felt homy and very welcoming like a bed and breakfast without the breakfast. I would suggest it if the price fits your budget. I've never experienced a hotel or hostel in a building with other hostels and apartments, but again, it was very comfortable, just a bit small. Great location very near Chueca.

The reception was friendly, we were able to check in early, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and conveniently located to tourist sights, restaurants, and grocery stores. Only downsides were that the shower head holder was broken, and that the wifi was spotty depending on what room you were in - we happened to be in a room at the end of the hall, just barely out of range.
• Marija (6/5): Could be better for the price - The room was old and the walls were chipping off, theres no kitchen and not even a kettle in the room. The "courtyard view" is not of a courtyard but of a dirty square in the middle of four walls about 2 meters apart. The shower room looked new and nice but on the first night was no hot water in the shower, only luke warm. The room is very dull and tiny. The receptionist and workers are lovely though. Good location.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Good location hard to sleep - It's a small hotel with clean room. Very good location in the middle of the city, close to tourist attraction places. Being close to the main street, it's busy. Having a pub just under the hotel in the first floor makes it noisy. Young street guys in the street the whole night makes it almost impossible to sleet at night.
• Aurelie (8/5): - Our flight was delayed so got to the hotel after midnight, received an aggressive welcome from the receptionist , telling us off . None of the personnel speak English so make sure you know a little bit of Spanish if you book there. The entrance of the hostal is pretty scary , looks like the building is not finished . The room was ok, has everything you need including A/C. Small bathroom but functional and clean . The wall is very thin so you can hear your neighbourgh
• Verified traveler (8/5): Centrally located, clean room - We were able to walk to the Prado, Buen Retiro Park, Palacio Real and really be a part of the city. Parking was not included and ended up being 50 dollars for 2 days. The parking was constantly protected which was nice. The entrance was undergoing construction, but the room itself was more than adequate.
• Chris (8/5): Pleasant Hostel in Centre of Madrid - A little difficult to find...I was standing right outside and still couldn't see it, but there is a small sign (40 cm x 30 cm) about 3 m above ground level. The ground floor is also undergoing renovations so initial impressions weren't that great. However, once you actually find it and get inside the hostel it all works. The lady who runs it is delightful, and even though she has no English we managed to communicate. The room, although small, contained everything I needed. The location is very close to the city centre and all that entails (noise, ladies of the night) but overall the location was close to all the attractions and the metro and worked for me. Make sure you visit Cafe de la luz below. It would have been 5 stars from me except the wifi didn't work in my room as advertised. It did work well in the office area.

• Ariel (10/5): The best location money can buy. - Excellent location in the heart of the city center. Very safe and very, very close to everything. I am so glad I stayed at the Hostal Tokio. I can't wait to go back to Madrid and definitely stay here again. The Staff was the best. Superb service and friendly atmosphere. The lady at the front desk went beyond 100% customer service satisfaction. I wish you could work at every hotel around the world. A+ and exceptional close to it all hotel.
• Larry (8/5): Nice and central in Madrid - This is a great place if you're looking for clean, central and cheap. It's only about a 5 minute walk from Gran Via metro station, so it's easy to get around on foot or by subway. My only criticism is that the bed is a bit hard for my liking, but I'd still recommend it.
• Larry (8/5): Central amd Inexpensive - Easy to find and get to using the metro from the airport. Nice and central to take advantage of Madrid's walkability. Surprisingly quiet. Only real issue is that the bed was a bit hard for my liking.
• Joshua (10/5): Great hostal, nice service - A little hard to find, you have to buzz in to the apartment to get inside. The lady who checked us in was very sweet and let us choose between two rooms that were available. The room was big (three beds) and had a private bathroom with lots of towels. Great stay, I would recommend it.

• William (8/5): Willie's stay at Hostal Tokio - This hotel is excellent value for money in central Madrid. The room was clean and the staff friendly. The only downside was that there was little space for storing clothes, especially if there had been 2 in the room. As I was alone,it wasn't a great problem. The 1 Euro charge every time you close the safe is also ok if you plan it's us carefully. I was disappointed to find no English channels on the TV,eg. Sky News.
• traveller (6/5): Nice location - Good location, terrible exterior look, small rooms with small facilities but clean. Next to a noisy street with thin walls between the rooms make it harder to sleep. Staff are friendly but hardly they speak English
