- Renee (7/5): ASJ is a charming B&B, it's a great place to stay when visiting historic Gettysburg! - Location is perfect! Central to all attractions. Great parking. Clean
Barb is very responsive and friendly. I would recommend healthier breakfast options. Other than a few bananas and tangerines, items were all processed. Clean, but needs some TLC and some comfort updates, especially the sitting area in front entryway. It's an amazing space that could be better utilized if museum cases (and other items) were replaced with more seating and a small table or two with a few puzzles or game options.
- Mary Ann (8/5): Fun pkace to stay ro round out our Gettysburg experience. - Great location- comfortable, Victorian themed room with self-service breakfast.
- Juerg Peter (10/5): Topunterkunft - Supercool schöne Zimmer gute Betten Frühstück Lage Alles top!

- Smock (9/5): Awesome! - Gettysburg is a wonderful little town filled with history. This location is within walking distance to just about anything you would want to do. The staff was friendly and helpful and being there makes you feel like you are part of the community.

- Jochen (9/5): - Super Ambiente!! Personal sehr herzlich und gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis
- richard (5/5): - Het verblijf is in een bepaalde stijl en uitstraling opgezet. Ontbijt was met donuts en geen brood of broodjes te mager
- Daniel (10/5): A Sentimental Journey - The location was great and the staff was amazing! I'm sure it's something they can't help with the age of the building but the bathroom situation is kind of strange with one of the suites. One side, you can't really lock from the outside and the other side, you can't actually get out from inside the bathroom if closed fully. Still a wonderful place though
- Lori (10/5): - The location is great. The breakfast dining set up is perfect and the 50's look is just wonderful. Our room was very comfortable and the WWI memorabilia was very interesting. Parking was convenient and easy to get to.
- Gary (10/5): Enjoyed our stay ! - Very clean, friendly staff.

- Riley (10/5): Excellent was worth the money. Would recommend it and stay there again - It is right in town nice porch to sit on. Parking was great. Every thing was really good Right down town walking distance to most everything.
- Turbo9 (8/5): Family-owned B&B, very clean, quiet and central to Gettysburg stores and restaurants. - It was central to the main street, historical society and restaurants and stores. Everything is walking distance. Since it was a vintage style, the lighting in the room was poor. I had to move a lamp to a desk so i could read.
- Kevin (10/5): - Great location for visiting Gettysburg sights!
- Curtís (10/5): Had a nice couple nights here... just what I needed. - Plenty of space, with decent climate control (AC & fan).
Bathroom super clean, with plenty of towels and soap, etc.
Parking out back was good.
Open kitchen was well stocked, with plenty of goodies.
- Michael (10/5): - Wonderful b&b, centrally located in Gettysburg. The vintage decoration of the rooms is really nice. Also appreciated the parking and the 24-hour breakfast. Nothing.
- Guest (8/5): I was a nice get away. - Room was nice and very clean. Great location. I would like to have seen more healthier options for breakfast. Maybe some hard boiled eggs.
- Guest (10/5): Its shows when people enjoy what they do. - attention to detail. Breakfast and snacks were perfect and plenty. This inn fits with the area and you can see they care about their guests.

- Michele (10/5): Quiet and peaceful place to stay in a town that’s always busy. - Location is convenient and the owners of the property are wonderful! Our favorite place to stay. No issues or complaints.
- Douglas (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! Exceptional value for the money. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. N/A
- Kimberly (9/5): Charming and comfortable - Owners are very kind. Snacks 24/7
- Jason (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juan (6/5): Pleasant - Ease of access, location, check out process Rooms could use a little investment in pillows/mattresses. Room was small.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Carin (1/5): Bad -
- Banuk (10/5): We had a great stay in the center of everything and the best ice cream around right downstairs. - The location was perfect and familiar with past trips. The cost was reasonable and we got adjoining rooms for our son & girlfriend. With 4 adults a second bathroom would be a future consideration but we can book 2 separate rooms vs the joining one if needed. We had a comfortable stay, the kitchen availability was awesome with a great selection of foods. All in all, next time we hut Gettysburg, we will try to book there again. 4 adults/one bathroom, but that was our own doing booking ajoining rooms, next time , possibly 2 separate rooms, maybe. It wasn't much of a problem most of the time. My husband was especially excited about the room full of models downstairs.
- Mama (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (10/5): Wonderful accommodations and fantastic staff! Made my trip so enjoyable!! -
- Yvonne (9/5): Convenient - Very friendly owners with lots of ideas for our stay. Only a continental breakfast but Lots to choose from though. And since it’s available 24 hours, we had tea and muffins in the evening. Very nice. Daughter‘s family came by to visit with her kids and they played in the park next to the building and they were told that they couldn’t play on it.
- Edward (8/5): We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely stay there again.. - Very friendly and accommodating hosts. The breakfast was very nice. The location is wonderful right downtown.
- Donald (8/5): Very good -
- Christina (8/5): Very good -
- Coinhunter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): My stay was as the old lady's dance: short and sweet. And also ice cream. And Civil War. - Barbara, Steve and their kids who help out were the friendliest, most helpful people imaginable. As I didn't have a car, they drove me to a store on a dire moment, and even to a concert for a special occasion -- even if I insisted I could walk. The entire family made me feel very welcome.
The rooms are themed according to different times, which is just lovely, and it had a lot of character. (Mind you one of the things I found absolutely charming was the creaking floors. I do imagine other guests might not like that.) The fact that the BnB is attached to (but has a separate entrance from) their ice cream shop is both convenient (you can ask them about the room, for instance) and social (you can just drop in and say hi. Or don't, if you're a recluse, which I can be at times. They welcome you in but also leave you be.)
The Sentimental Journey is on the edge of both the National Battlefield Park and the town of Gettysburg, so you can walk in either direction to explore the one or the other, and they also have a parking spot behind the BnB, so you don't have to walk, you can also just take the car and drive in either direction, because, face it, the entirety of Gettysburg is ginormous.
Also, taste their ice cream. Mint Chocolate Chip is where it's at, people. Then sit on their porch, swing back and forth as you watch tourists go by who you know are not staying in your awesome room. During my stay, the town of Gettysburg hosted a great number of Harley Davidson bikers. Their noise can become rather annoying, especially if your bedroom is facing Baltimore Street. That's it, other people making noise.
- Shannon (8/5): Lovely place in a great location. The Ice cream was excellent! - Lovely room in a perfect location. Could use a real coffee maker.
- Pam (10/5): Great stay in Gettysburg - Great location. Had everything we needed. The breakfast room was great. Owners were very nice and helpful.( ice cream store was a sweet bonus!) loved the tavern next door. Would have loved to do the goats walk next door but we had to cut our stay short. Nothing
- Christopher (7/5): Not a real B&B - Excellent location. Good water pressure. Bed comfortable. Staff were very nice and explained everything. There was a very strong foul odor coming from the living room that permeated into our bedroom. I don't see how they wouldn't know this. The AC is a window unit which is understandable; however, it is placed directly at the head of the bed so constantly blows right on top of your head in the bed. Not a good set up. Lastly, they show this place as a B&B on their sign which is a far cry from what most people expect from a B&B, but no breakfast is prepared for you. Instead, they provide cereal, muffins, bagels and the like (somewhat of a "continental" breakfast if you will). It's more of a room to rent or boarding house type of set up. I think it would behoove them to remove "B&B" from their sign as it is misleading at the best.
- Anonymous (9/5): Cozy, historical, and as advertised, Maybe one day I will stay again - a good simple variety of snack cakes, yogurt, bagels, and coffee cakes. Not the widest selection but open 24/7 makes it very easy to plan your trip around Honestly would have liked more protean at the breakfast and a bit more water pressure in the shower, but other than that, it was good
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (9/5): Convenient location -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (5/5): Passable - Good location. owners were friendly. did not like location of room. Was right off the entrance/sitting area. Did not feel like we had any privacy.
- Richard (9/5): Accommodations made us feel like we had gone back in time. great! Air conditioning was wonderful! - it was as expected. We appreciated that it was available to us. Such a cute kitchen! The rainbow bagels were unfortunate but they did taste fine. :)
- Kristen (8/5): A Sentimental Journey was the perfect place for what we needed. - Proximity to museums and restaurants. Staff very friendly and engaging, non intrusive. Shower head needs replacing.
- Mauk (9/5): Enjoyable stay to see town and the battlefield. - Great location. Close to restaurants and a convenience store. Nice neighborhood. Short drive to the Gettysburg Battlefield visitors center. Quiet. Nice snacks in the breakfast room. Good parking. Could use more pillows and softer towels, but that is minor.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Convenience, comfortable, easy. Charm!! nothing really
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heidi (9/5): Nice location for a weekend getaway - Location was great The shower curtain made it hard to shower.
- Anderson (8/5): Quaint B&B - Location was great! We enjoyed the sites, then were able to come back and enjoy conversation with our friends in the large sitting area. We loved the clawfoot bathtub, and our room was very quaint. The inn is older, and some things need to be updated. The springs in the couch poked our friend, and it was difficult to get in and out of. Our shower curtain was torn and smelled moldy, so we needed to leave the fan on in the bath. We're not much for continental breakfasts, so chose to eat out, but the kitchen was great for coffee and snacks.
- Giovanni (8/5): Very good -
- Douglas (7/5): Nice place, clean and comfortable, pretty good value, can be very noisy, but not your typical B&B - Close to battlefield and many restaurants and shops
Very clean and comfortable
Very nice owners
Breakfast/snack items available all day The area can be EXTREMELY noisy. Lots of loud motorcycles at the big intersection
Not really a B&B, more like a nice boarding house, no hot breakfast
Roku TV is a lousy choice for TV viewing
Convenient private parking
- Rebecca (9/5): Very nice hosts and excellent location - Location, ice cream shop Water pressure
- Aditya (8/5): Awesome experience - Liked the location NA
- Nancy (10/5): We would stay again. Barbara’s attentiveness and their attention to none - The property was right in the center of town, in close proximity to historic sites and restaurants. Knowing the historic battle occurred right on these streets where families and soldiers endured the unthinkable, was very moving. Impeccable decor as well! There was nothing we didn’t like, except I wish I could have had their pumpkin cheesecake ice cream everyday! ( I respect they do need a break, lol)
- Zina (10/5): Exceptional - The lady of the house was awesome. I loved her spirit.
She made you feel welcome.
Thank you so much. we had a wonderful time. That we couldn't stay longer.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (8/5): Very nice and quaint Victorian house. - Good price, great location right in downtown There was nothing bad about the property. The only suggestion I would make is to give at least 2 keys per couple to make it easier to come in and out
- Marin (9/5): Excellent -
- Kathy (9/5): Superb - We loved the location and the whole place was a fun adventure.
- Franczak (5/5): a weird bed and breakfast - location
- Tracy (7/5): We liked the location but breakfast and lack of quiet downstairs suite was hard at time and lights came through doors! - Location was great! Breakfast options too much sugar not enough healthy options or ice or water !
- Isaiah (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Regina (9/5): Superb - Location is superb. Very welcoming and had everything you need.
- Nadina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Holland (10/5): Exceptional - The 1920 setting was exactly what we were looking for. The room was perfect and the location was right in the mix of ghettysburg. Couldn't of asked for better place for our 3 day getaway
- Lara (10/5): Wonderful B & B in the heart of Gettysburg - Very friendly and cozy place to stay. Nothing.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lyle (9/5): We would come again. - Great location. Easy access through security front door. Lots of breakfast items to choose from. Window blinds were in tough condition.
- Renee (10/5): Wonderful! Highly recommend! - Charm, location, hospitality and ice cream shop attached! I was a patron at this location 12 years ago, looked forward to coming back, and looking forward to returning. As a designer and Drapery Workroom, I'd LOVE to update those window treatments!
- Jenny (10/5): A place with personality! - All our requirements were met … & exceeded .. warm, friendly welcome; convenient town centre location with free parking; clean bathroom with a good shower; comfortable bed; decent breakfast with refreshments actually available 24/7; quietness & privacy. The added bonus was staying in a B&B furnished & decorated 1940s style with so many interesting items to look at & read. Nothing
- David (8/5): Very good - Reasonable breakfast all day. Good coffee and supplies. Nice, take care of yourself, kitchen.
- Joan (10/5): Was great! Owners very friendly and exceptionally hospitable - Each room has a different theme Did not have bottled water in kitchen food access room
- Gail (10/5): The hosts were very gracious. - The property was very close to the Gettysburg Park, and to restaurants. Delicious ice cream next door.
- Therese (6/5): Should not be called a B&B as a hot breakfast is not served. - Close to our favorite restaurant.
- Franchetti (8/5): It was a nice, relaxing getaway trip for a couple days - It was 24-hour Continental. It was nice It was nice
