• Y4680NEjamesc (2/5): Horrible experience | Misleading advertizing | broken appliances - ATTENTION ALL PEOPLE GOING TO THIS HOTEL READ THIS: I am a student in Greece that visited this horrid hotel along with my school. The "hotel" is separated into 2 buildings the one building is the one you see in the misleading pictures while the other is absolute crap, trully horrible. If you scroll through the reviews there is a weird discrepancy between 4 star and other 2 and 1 star reviews. That is because anybody staying in the main building gets a (somewhat) passable experience while anybody in the other one gets a horrible experience. During our 4 day stay this is what happened: ROOM Problems: the AC remote didn't have batteries, the TV remote batteries were held in with tape, the TV was mounted poorly and was falling of the wall. The secondary building in general had no central heating, horrible wifi, close to a nosiy runway, unwashed blankets with food stains and god knows what else. Our toilet broke and wouldn't flush, one of the rfid hotel key cards never worked and the hotel phone was just in a drawer because there was nowhere to plug it in. Once we found batteries for the AC it broke after 2 minutes of use. We went to the receptionist to tell then to send someone to fix the appliances and they did. But after that the toilet broke again and the AC started excreting a horrible chemical like smell, me and my classmates weren't feeling safe leaving that death trap on so we slept in an unheated cold room. There was no security in the second building, no cameras no nothing so anybody could get in and out without being noticed and cause trouble which happened to us. Some local girls came in to the building and started harrassing us and knocking on random doors and making noise. Lastly the worse problem was half the time there was no HOT WATER and the shower was so horribly designed that when you used it it always spilled water all over the floor, that and the ventilation didn't do anyting to help with the humidity in there. Food problems: It was not good, the options for the dinner and breakfast buffet were very bland and tasteless. Honestly the only things that were roughly edible and drinkable was the bread, the French fries and the apple juice. The salad had a texture like plastic and the peas looked like 3 days old. All in all, the experience was not good and the problems with the appliances was something many people (even the teachers) experienced. Please don't give your money to this hotel it is not worth it. It is really far away from the city and a pain to get to. Just find somewhere else to stay. Even if you end up in the better building there is no guarantee that you will not encounter the same problems me and my school faced... My biggest regret other than coming here is not taking more pictures to document this mess of a hotel.

Still being advertised as a hotel but no restaurant no bar and no pool bar. stayed here in very small room but staff were lovely so wont criticise them. Need to update web info because if I had known what was not available I wouldn't have booked .
• StanBrynmawr (4/5): Run down hotel - Visited in early October, knowing that it was not going to be great. The positives were room was decent size and was pretty clean. Facilities were basic but passable, towels changed daily. Reception looks very nice and Lenka was very welcoming and helpful. Handy views if you like aircraft. Negatives were numerous. Room had hooks hanging off the wall. Often smell of drains from the shower. Constant planes landing and taking off, and don't believe who says you can't hear them. Restaurant for breakfast was ok but no change in 11 days we were there. Bar not open at all. Pool area is overgrown. Beds are dirty and damp as left out in the rain. Pool area very run down. Decking loose in places. Pool was very cold and could do with a clean. Cafe linked to hotel had the most obnoxious staff. Rude and couldn't be bothered. Would never return to this hotel but Corfu is fantastic.

Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels every day . Location was good, plenty of places to drink and eat but if you get bored you can get a bus which is really cheap
• Stella (4/5): - We arrived to find we had only one bed even though we had requested two twins. The man at the desk was apologetic and polite and eventually arranged for a cot to be put in the room. The breakfast is really quite nice and the room itself was okay but a bit noisy with the runway close by and the fridge in the room squawked and squeaked.
• louisegH7312ZQ (10/5): Very nice hotel - A really good 3* hotel. We stayed in room 101 haha. It had a great view of the runway, and a nice little balcony but when the door was closed there was very little aircraft noise. Big comfy bed and great aircon. Small bathroom (the norm for Greece). Lots of hot water and great water pressure. Our room was serviced every day. Clean towels every day and sheets changed every couple of days. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. The pool was nice with plenty of sun beds. Breakfast consisted of a very wide range of foods. Well presented and tasty too. Also the veranda bar is excellent with great cocktails.While there are lifts to the rooms, there are steps from outside to reception and steps down to the pool so if mobility is a problem it may not be right for you but otherwise couldn't recommend the place enough.
• Douglas (8/5): Nice hotel in a perfect spot, let down by details - We stayed here for a week and had a mixed experience. The location is excellent – only 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bus to Corfu Town, with plenty to do nearby such as swimming, visiting the small island by boat, and enjoying the views and church close to the hotel. Rooms felt modern, clean, and comfortable with good AC, though the ceiling fan was dirty and the “garden view” was really just a road. Cleaning service was very good, and check-out was smooth. The biggest downside was the parking situation. It’s unclear where guests should park, and when I called the hotel, one receptionist was rude and unhelpful – the only unfriendly staff we met all trip. Luckily, another receptionist was very kind and even moved her own car for us. Parking often filled up because tourists visiting the viewpoint would also use the hotel spaces. Breakfast was fine, mainly English style, and the pool was nice, though the pool area and games room felt run down. The bar was rarely open and it was oddly difficult to get something as simple as two wine glasses for the room. The WiFi was extremely slow and open (not secure), Despite these issues, the hotel’s location, views, and overall room quality make it a decent choice, but improvements in service, facilities, and parking management would make a big difference

We ordered toastie and chips from the bar and a salad and it came without the chips and forks When asked about it they said one moment took ages to come then only came with fork and yet 20 mins and salad now hit in baking sun. Also the salad was 11 euros and just lettuce ham and egg not very good value. We saw the feta salad yesterday that looked lovely so thought would be similar
• 618lillyv (8/5): would recommend - Pros: * good location, bus stop nearby with bus that costs €1.20-€2.00 to get to corfu town as well as a couple really nice restaurants near by. * basic amenities you need fridge,safe,aircon Ect. However it is important to note: * the aeroplanes are very very loud- hard to sleep sometimes (maybe didn’t help we had a broken door) * bathroom door in room has a big gap and doesn’t lock * average breakfast not amazing but for the price it’s ok. * Wifi cut out occasionally for us. overall would recommend corfu is beautiful !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

• EmilyN1513 (10/5): Great family holiday - We had a lovely stay at this great hotel, the receptionists were all very helpful and we had a great view from our room. We thought the hotel was in a handy location, close to Corfu town, which is easily accessible via bus. Also, walking distance to the beautiful Monastery of Vlacherna, where you can also get a boat to Mouse Island. Lots of nice restaurants and shops close by too.
• Y2683NJmichellel (6/5): Disappointed - The Good The reception staff were excellent and went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh sheets, and we personally enjoyed watching the planes take off right outside the balcony — though this may not suit guests who are sensitive to noise. Good location - with fantastic views The Bad It did feel as though Love Holidays guests were placed in an older section of the hotel that is in need of refurbishment. While the rooms were serviced daily, there were some noticeable cleanliness issues (see pictures). We also raised concerns about soiled pillows, a blocked shower drain, a blocked sink, and the lack of a balcony table. The hotel did respond to these issues, but it was clear that the main building offered a much higher standard, with newer bedding and the added convenience of tea and coffee facilities. The pool area was very run down. The surrounding areas were unloved, and full of weeds. Felt a bit abandoned. The Ugly Unfortunately, the hotel bar was a disappointing experience. Service was extremely slow, and apart from one helpful male staff member, the bar staff came across as quite rude. Guests were often left waiting a long time for drinks, which really impacted the overall atmosphere. Summary While the reception team’s efforts stood out in a very positive way, the contrast between the room quality and bar service ultimately brought our experience down to an average score. It has also made us more hesitant to book budget package deals in the future, as it felt like we were placed in less favorable accommodation.

The location is convenient, not far from the airport, and there’s a public bus that takes you directly to the main town. The kids loved the swimming pool and the pool games.Apart from some plane noise, it’s a great place to stay with family
• Maximathetraveller (6/5): Solo traveler. - All good! Arrived on 12the August checked in. During the check in they offer the activities which might you will be interested in. Since it was late afternoon and from the flight feel a bit tired and decided to use the pool. The pool ok. My room is clean. Maintenance a bit need to improve. The window of my room is closing but you cant lock it. Breakfast is good lot of options specially if you're a big eater in the morning. My favorite is the greek yogurt.

• Sofia (2/5): Very disappointing stay - Our stay was far from what we expected. The photos online did not match reality. While the reception looked fresh, the elevator was old and unreliable, room doors had broken handles, and our room smelled of mold. The floor on the room wasn’t clean.The bathroom was unhygienic, the shower head was moldy and old due for a NEW ONE, and the drainage flooded the floor. The air conditioning smelled bad, was noisy, and couldn’t be controlled. The pool area was poorly maintained – dirty pool, untrimmed grass, moldy sunbeds that smelled, and unclean glass barriers. The game room was dusty with a moldy odor, and even the public toilets had no locks and weren’t clean. The only positives were that breakfast was okay and the lifeguard was very kind and helpful. Overall, definitely not worth the money.

The staff were amazing (nothing was too much trouble), our room was excellent (clean, very comfortable and with an excellent view) and we both had a very relaxing, comfortable stay which re-charged our batteries to full. • susankU7430CX (10/5): Fabulous Family Holiday! - I booked in a hurry and on a budget. Having looked at the price and the photos, I was sold. On reflection, I suspect, like many people, I panicked. Some of the reviews in my opinion are very harsh. Please don't book at hotel beside an airport and then complain about the noise, and a word to the wise, 3 star hotels are rated for a reason. Don't book 3 star and anticipate 5! Earplugs will block the airplane noise. There are virtually no planes between midnight and 5 am. Planes landing aren't loud, planes taking off at the viewable runway were loud but didn't cause us much discomfort. We had an absolutely fantastic week in Corfu. A family holiday we will look back on fondly for decades. Our room was cleaned, beds made and fresh towels everyday. It was basic but had all the essentials. We didn't come to Corfu to live in the hotel room. If 5 star makes you as uncomfortable as it does us and you love a homely, lived in vibe, this is for you. We love camping! We have stayed 5* luxury brand Andalucia and had a far better time here. All in all better experience, more variation and cost effective eating out locally. Yes, the drains smelled occasionally, like in every hot country! There is an extractor fan... The aircon is fenomenal. You can set temperature and hit turbo if needed. The hospitality here is exceptional. The service was impeccable. Yota who welcomed us was an absolute gem, very friendly and approachable, nothing too much trouble. There were other reception staff we encountered, all very accommodating. Helena the manager was incredibly friendly. She never passed us without greeting us. We saw her nurse a child for a couple so that they could have thier breakfast fuss free. We were bed and breakfast board. Breakfast was great. Always had plently of hot and cold food, tea, coffee and juice. My hubby was disappointed when the beans changed suddenly, they were great and suddenly they were salty and vinegar tasting? I feel that moral is low here because people expect too much and on a budget and put undue pressure on the hotel and staff to meet unrealistic standards. Every single staff member is trying their absolute best. The pool is large and plenty of beds, there was never shortage during our weeks stay. We saw the maintenance man powerwash the beds/cushions and decking and clean the pool regularly. The cafe bar is really good. The service is great even at busy times. With plenty of staff on hand to take orders. We had the mixed grill a few times, excellent value for money and tasted great. I enjoyed the special club sandwich cheese and ham toastie and the caesar salad was great and the portions are so generous a meal or sandwich could feed two with fries. We frequently could not finish our meals. Great range of drinks at reasonable prices. Many thanks too Vimitra and Maria... there were lots of other staff we were beyond satisfied with but unfortunately we didn't get their names. I'll admit the main issues we had were maintenance and ascetic. Grass could be cut, flower beds tended, glass fences cleaned... really if you let anything like this ruin your holiday here, maybe you need something else... We highly recommend Aqualand and Cruise to Paxos/ Antipaxos. Incredible experiences. We also hired a car with Avis and drove to Cofu town to see the New Fortress, surrounding areas and lunch in the sailing club bar restaurant. Incredible food and service here. Across the footbridge in front of mouse island there is a restaurant called Nisos. Excellent restaurant here. Clean, modern, excellent service and food, reasonably priced. Recommend Halikounas beach if you have a rental car. 1.5 hr drive. If you go do not drive all the way down the beach road as google suggests. The loungers etc are relatively close to the start of the rough road and not near the canal. Beautiful beach with sun loungers and parasols. 20 euro for 3 beds. Great range of drinks here and impeccable DJ/music to enjoy. Reasonable price. We loved Brachera beach, a short climb down from the grand hotel cafe bar and wish we had discovered it sooner. The path a little steep, with shiny stone so be careful not to slip, wear sensible shoes. Nice little bay beach along the coast to the left past Flivios bar restaurant. A little expensive at Flivios for food/drink but great location. Mouse island is beautiful and worth the boat trip at 3euro each. We went to Skyview on our first night as we arrived late. Perfect for first night, more expensive than grand cafe bar for a feeling of luxury but not really worth it in our opinion, certainly worth it for a change or ease on our first night. People dress up a bit more here if you like to feel glam and "to see and be seen". The Captain restaurant up the hill was excellent for food. Good value and service. Steak, greek salad, mixed kabab and drinks for 70euro. A glass of wine is more like a quarter litre for 7 euro. The host/owner was very friendly with everyone else and we felt a little neglected. The mini market on over the hill has all the essentials and more. Great selection of everything you could possibly need and reasonably priced. The owner Nikolas and all the staff are friendly and accommodating. All in all. We had a ball, I feel it's alot about expectation and perspective. We'd go back tomorrow and have been invited back next year. For us it would be hard to beat! • Zahra (4/5): - Staff were polite and attentive, done their best for the situational circumstances. Unfortunately the hotel itself was very run down which is what you don’t see in the pictures. Pool was dirty, singers were disgusting, couldn’t not use it because I felt so gross. The corridors are extremely run down and stink of sewage. The room itself was standard and it had a great view of the plane landing but noisy, the shower is small and often when trying to shower it stinks of sewage too. We had constant WiFi troubles, it would stop working, phones will not connect, the staff at the reception probably hear this complaint from a lot of guests. There are food places to eat outside the hotel, and there is a bus that takes you straight into old Corfu town for 2 euros located on the left hand side of the hotel, 1 minute walk. Overall wouldn’t come back again

• Venture713142 (10/5): Amazing staff. - I spent five nights here with my daughter. The room was comfortable and clean. The air conditioning was very efficient. The pool was large and clean with a lifeguard parent. Above all the staff were very smiley, friendly and helpful including the lovely chamber maid we had. Although checking out at 11 our plane was not until 10 at night. The receptionist allowed us to store our bag while we spent the day at the poolside. Then we were given a hotel room for one hour, free of charge, so that we could shower and change before heading to the airport. This is something I have not been offered before. So well done to the Royal Grand Hotel and its lovely staff. We will recommend you to all.
• 879samanthas (6/5): - Very 50/50 on this hotel Polite reception staff and informed us of everything we needed, we had a late check out and they let us come back for a shower and leave our luggage @ reception. Room was pleasant although not the cleanest (we dropped a phone under the bed and underneath was shocking). Breakfast was all right - small option but enough. To get to our room, the cafe in partnership with the hotel, the pool or games room we had to cross a busy but small road - not to much of a deal although sometimes frustrating. We had three guests in our room and all three bed were pushed together with not much room to spare to do anything else - getting out to balcony we could not the open door properly to do so. - we had no smell on our balcony however the room we used for our shower before departure there was an awful smell along those rooms as discussed in other reviews. Some of the hotel surroundings were unkept and overgrown which was disappointing to see from your balcony. The runway is very loud - like unbearable sometimes when planes were taking off however there were none over night which was a relief. On a plus side to this it was an experience to see the planes that close and i enjoyed it. I personally wouldn't have stopped there for more than a few days. As per previous reviews the decking around pool very loose in some places and unkept although once on sunbed (very few of these) wasn't to bad. Its frustrating the fact that the things that little it down could be easily and cheaply be replaced and done over to give it back a spark. I personally wouldn't recommend to family an friends unless they had a child or relative that loved planes and no longer than a weekend.
• 649indiam (8/5): - The hotel in itself was fantastic clean,well kept and lovely/friendly desk staff and paying guests however when visiting the royal grand partnering cafe we were approached by a blonde female waitress who was rude and abrupt when we went up to the bar to ask if it was okay to order some food and drinks as we had been sitting for a while in an almost empty restaurant around dinner time met with us being told she was coming in a minute and had been busy just a generally rude and unwelcoming expierence for our final dinner during our stay. Other than that you definitely get your money worth for the facilities provided and daily house keeping

On a late arrival the guy on reception was welcoming and pleasant, on the way to our room the corridor was very dark and dingy and in need of a redecorate our room was pleasant bright and clean however our bathroom was a different story it was dark with broken mirror stained toilet and tiles missing from shower floor also the hairdryer didn't work however the next day when I reported this they replaced the hairdryer and cleaned the bathroom. Our towels were changed every day and room cleaned every day. The cleaners were very pleasant the issues were more of a maintenance problem. Breakfast was good plenty of choice and reception staff were excellent. We did have a few issues but would definitely return

• arranb757 (2/5): Awful - Me any my wife have recently stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon . To say the least I am extremely unimpressed!! Here are a few of my points and opinions regarding my stay at the hotel . • Swimming pool 1 no ladders or any form of way getting in or out of the pool unless you are 7ft tall which is a massive health and safety concern also smashed glass around the pool and glass almost ready to fall out of the balcony and seriously injure somebody in the pool below (see pics) • Swimming pool 2 , absolutely disgusting it was full of hairs dirt looked like hadn’t been cleaned for 2 months , and a horrible green dirty line around the outside which shows how dirty it was . Also the decking area is extremely unsafe with bits of decking sticking up around the pool area where one of my family members almost seriously injured themselves ! • The room absolutely stinks of sewerage from the drains in the bathroom and this was every day , every bit of furniture in the room was battered with chunks missing which made it look old , used and miss treated not what I expected at all or what the photos on the internet show !! The fridge didn’t work either . • I paid for an upgrade for a lakeside view and when arrived I was told there were none available and was told I wouldn’t want to stay there anyway because they were dated and old but still never got my money back for the extra that I paid for this ! • There was a shortage of hot water on one of the days which caused me and my wife unable to shower . •Also on the photos and description does it no where say that the hotel is separated form the pool which makes it very dangerous trying to cross the road especially for children . • The hotel cafe the staff were extremely rude every time we visited and made us feel like we weren’t welcome and tried to charge us twice for our food and were very rude when we tried to explain we had already paid for this .

When we questioned the receptionist she said that she would ask the manager the reason for them to be locked. When we asked again she replied that she had forgotten to ask him. This hotel is so rundown it’s unbelievable. There was a handrail broken off in the stairwell when we arrived, a week later it still hadn’t been repaired. There were loose tiles around the swimming pool just left there. The laminated flooring at the entrance to the hotel restaurant became loose, they solved the problem by removing the loose flooring and covered it up with the entrance door mat !! We cannot understand why TUI still gives this hotel Three stars and allows the hotel to lock the emergency doors

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Lenka, who spoke Slovak and made me feel right at home—such a lovely personal touch! Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with modern furniture and a stylish, updated bathroom. The cleaning staff were fantastic—always polite and kept everything spotless. The hotel had a peaceful atmosphere, great breakfast options, and a relaxing pool area. The location was also perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the beach, with shops, restaurants, and a bus stop right next to the hotel. Everything we needed was close by. We really felt looked after and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Corfu!

I chose it as a gift for my partner, hoping for a slightly higher standard, but the room didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The door and shower weren’t working properly, and the noise from the planes taking off right outside made it hard to relax. That said, the surrounding area is quite charming, with a small beach within walking distance and a lovely little church nearby. If you love planes and enjoy plane spotting, this is probably the perfect place. But unfortunately, it wasn’t the right fit for us.
• ryancU5604BZ (4/5): Room pot-luck, dreadful breakfast ; choose somewhere else in Kanoni! - The Royal Grand was underwhelming even if it was a cheap 4 day stay. To start we were put in a simply horrendous room in the main hotel block, which had a broken door lock and frame, broken tv, safe didn’t work, stained pillows, AC stuck on one setting, ripped bedsheet and an awful smelling shower drain. We arrived late in the night and when going straight back down to reception was told there was nothing they could do because every room was full. We had been shunned into a s***hole, which they said they didn’t know about, but with that many problems they had to have. The older male receptionist we spoke to was rude and unhelpful. To their credit, the next morning the ladies on reception quickly had our room changed and cleaned before midday, which was much better. Clean, everything working, no smell, but as you should expect! Should be a given that everything is clean and in working order. Only other qualms with the room was the bathroom was very small, and the shower wasn’t completely enclosed meaning water would spray out everywhere. Just shows that the rooms are a lottery, and the images on trip advisor and the hotel website are a bit ‘catfishy’ and not the experience for everyone. The pool is across the road, no security, lifeguards, staff of any kind watching over it, cleaning, anything. Anyone could walk in. Also could’ve done with more sunbeds as in the afternoon there would never be any free. However, the location overlooking the runway was great, the noise didn’t bother us and the pool size was fine. The location is the best part of this hotel, Kanoni is great, locals and bar staff, including at Skyview Bar, were all brilliant. The short bus ride to Corfu Town was another plus, with the bus stop outside the hotel. A short walk down some steps leads to a private ‘beach’ but has sunbeds reserved for another hotel, but the views of the runway and mouse island were great. Finally though, the breakfast. Don’t bother. It was cheap to upgrade to it but *everything* was cold. Eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, beans, all cold and replaced rarely. Coffee terrible. We mostly had greek yogurt and fruit because it was the most edible thing, but even then the fruity was a compote and likely tinned. 1 toaster too created issues and a long wait. Overall, try to avoid. Go somewhere else in Kanoni, because the location is brilliant. However, the hotel is three star, and if you get a good room and avoid breakfast, isn’t horrendous value.
• 108sadbhm (2/5): Filthy, Dirty, Awful, Avoid at all costs - Where to even start…..The hotel is not how it’s portrayed online. The main part of the hotel was nice I’m not sure what the rooms were like in this building however across the road from the hotel down in a dungeon was where myself and my friend stayed. We were confused on arrival to learn that the pool was across the road as well as our room. The corridor down to the rooms was open 24/7 with no security at all even though we were informed there was we didn’t see anyone the whole 5 days we were there. The corridors to the rooms itself had dirty floors and some room doors even had dents in them as if they’d been punched through. The first room we were given was absolutely diabolical I understand it’s not a modern hotel the interior was never the issue however, there’s no excuse for the lack of cleanliness that we experienced. The first room we were given had light fixtures hanging off the wall, exposed wires near the light switch, a very pungent smell of chemicals mixed with the smell of cigarette smoke, the bathroom was filthy and rusted, limescale covered the shower and drains. We immediately went back to reception to show them the pictures we’d taken of the room and asked to change rooms, the lady at the desk was helpful and did change us to another room still in the same dungeon across the road but up a floor this did make a difference however the room just still wasn’t clean. The bathroom again was covered in limescale slightly better then the first room but still not good, there was an actual ant farm on our floor with these weird looking flies in the corner beside the bed as well. Again we went down to reception to raise these concerns to the hotel staff, we wanted to change to another room in the actual hotel but were told it was fully booked. We spoke to the hotel manger and she said the only thing she could do was ensure the cleaners would thoroughly clean our room everyday like that’s not a basic necessity in every room? When I showed her the pictures of the ant family on our floor she said that they were everywhere because the hotel is near nature but I’ve stayed in many hotels “in nature” and not once has it been infested with ants. Not to mention they we’re moving what looked like old food across the room yet we’d only arrived so that food didn’t come from us, again showing the room just was not cleaned properly. I had to wear my flipflops in the shower every day because of how dirty the floor was not to mention it took 3-5 working days for the water in the shower to get hot and I say that lightly because it was lukewarm at best. And don’t even get me started on the pool, it is not maintained at all the entire area is run down the sun loungers were stained, the pool had a rim of yellow all around the white wall, there is no pool bar, no lifeguard, and quite frankly no staff anywhere. Anyone could walk down to the pool it was basically a public pool, especially because above it was a tourist attraction for airplane spotting. The noise of the planes is unbelievably loud and they are non stop the entire day and night, I wasn’t bothered much by this because I knew the location before booking but just keep that in mind it is relentless. Never again!
• jsull1994 (8/5): Good hotel, with good nearby facilities! - First of all... Do not book this hotel after reading the reviews, to then give a bad review about the noise! We booked this holiday knowing about the proximity of the runway to the hotel and it didn't cause any problems at all. And if you or anyone you are travelling with is an aviation enthusiast, be sure to book this hotel without hesitation because the runway view is absolutely spectacular! We have stayed in varying types of accommodation from Los Angeles to Sydney and everything in between, and was this the worst stay I have had? Absolutely not, I have had considerably worse stays in actual 4* rated hotels. Arrival at the hotel was incredibly seamless, and very welcoming! The lovely lady (Lenka) made sure that if we needed anything else, we just had to ask and it would not be a problem along with giving a business card to a local taxi firm, instructions on where the nearest supermarket was and details of where to get discounted meals from the restaurant which was linked to the hotel itself. We had to complete some mandatory paperwork for the hotel and had to pay the hotel tax which was only 5 euros per night per room (not per person). This was the only part we did not know about before going, but was not a problem because I have had to pay this kind of thing many times in most States in the USA. We had made requests for a high floored room and this was all provided at check in without problem. When we got to the room, yes it was basic, and elements could get a refresh however this is only listed as a 3* hotel, So i did not expect it to be like Caesars Palace in Las Vegas! There was ample wardrobe space, the bathroom was clean and tidy and the bed was probably closest to being up there in the range of being one of the more comfy beds I have had in a hotel. We even made additional contact with reception and requested some more pillows and within 5 minutes a knock at the door with extra pillows!! A further 5 minutes after that, another knock which was entirely unexpected with bath robes which i thought was a nice touch. The pool area was really nice, there was never an issue with getting a sun lounger, and you can loan towels from reception with a 5 euros deposit which they keep until you return and ask for your deposit back. You can get a clean towel every time you swap a wet towel which was brilliant! The only downside at the pool area is that if it gets a bit busier, there is only 1 set of steps down into the pool, but this was never a problem! The bar inside of the hotel is not in operation, however the reception staff made clear if you wanted food/drinks by the pool you could call reception and they would send someone from the restaurant linked to the hotel with a menu to take an order and that you just needed to inform if you were paying card or cash so they could bring the crd reader with them! We ate at the 3 local places to the hotel - Skyview is great because of the view, but gets a little busier dependent on the time you get there, food and drink was nice but the menu options seemed limited however some really good choices for getting a taste of the local cuisine. The place attached to the hotel seemed better value for money than skyview because i feel like with that place you are paying for the view however it was still nice. The only downside to the hotel linked place is that service was incredibly slow, and during the day there is a coach load every 15-20 minutes of people from cruises and it fills up quite a lot. Cafe Kanoni... THIS IS A MUST GO!! We ate here on the last night of our holiday and regret not going sooner, the food, the service and the view were absolutely 5* so would highly recommend you make an early visit here for something to eat and drink!!. Getting into Corfu Old Town is about 10-15mins on the bus which is just outside of the hotel, and you get on and off at the same place both outside of the hotel, and in corfu old town because the bus essentially just does 1 big loop on the same route and costs 2 euros per person (you can also pay by card on the bus so dont need cash). This is the bus number 2A.

I was with other people, got stuck in the elevator twice, had eggshells in their food, old bandaids stuck on bunk beds, stains on the bedsheets, creaky doors and bathrooms were flooded and not draining after a day. Asked for bedsheets and towel changes and they didnt change our sheets and just took the towels and gave us new ones after 2 days. Ridiculous service and quality, only nice staff were the receptionists.

The room was comfortable although looking tired in places. Thankfully the A/C worked really well in the heat keeping the room nice and cool.

• UrsS595 (8/5): Plane spotting at its best! Nice 3 star location! - Dear Giota, Anna and Lenka I returned to the Royal Grand the second time for one week. This time with my wife. I am doing this comment from the point of a plane spotter. If you search for a 5 star location and a nice beach side, please choose a different one because the hotel is exactly situated over the turning point of the aircrafts on the runway. Noise here is normal. The rooms are relatively small and a bit outdated. The housekeeping tries to clean them as good as they can. Towels are changed daily, but one suggestion here: Please change them for new ones! The bathroom is small but the shower runs well. Only greek TV Channels are available. But WIFI runs most of the time well, so bring your tablet with you to see your favorite programms from home. We had room 405 an the view to landing and departing planes is amazing. Noise is accepatable with closed windows. A/C was running well in our room, but not so much needed in the end of May. We found that the place of the hotel is good. If do not have a rental car, bus runs every 20 minutes from Kanoni just 50 meters away and single ticket costs 2 Euros. If you buy the ticket at the little Supermarket behind the hotel it will be cheaper. Please consider that the hotel is just beside the airport, but the way around is relatively long and taxi costs are expensive. For the breakfast I have already spoken to you and suggested that you bring in some more different varieties for different days. More bread selection would be appreciated. Please exchange the toaster immediately with a more safe one. I would repeat me but it is important for future guests: The Royal Grand is not the right choice if you want to have a deluxe hotel and a very high experience. Booking this hotel and complaining after makes no sense. In our opinion there are many negative comments in the net, some are okay, some not. But one thing is to say: Gioita, Anna and Lenka at the reception are wonderful and they are so helpful, trying to make the stay a remarkable one. If you are a hotel guest, please do not hesitate to ask them what you want to know about the island and some of their favourites. Also we would like to say thank you to the manager, he was always nice and polite to us. Thanks also for the coffee he offered us at the Café! Finally we would like to say thank you for the wonderful stay. One suggestion for travellers like us (Plane Spotting and exploring the City): We stayed one week here and for one week 5 star accomodation and beachside at Akrotiri Beach Hotel at Paleokastritsa which is a wonderful place. • E9011KIstephanier (8/5): Lovely hotel really liked it - Came out Corfu 2 weeks ago stayed at a different hotel but wanted to try this hotel perfect for ur plane spotting I had a room right in view of the runway and it was great I was hoping to have a view of the runway the check in was easy as I landed quite late the hotel itself was lovely the lift is an old lift but easy to use I had the second floor the room was a good size and the air con worked great!!! The bathroom was small but the shower didn’t have very hot water and it’s flooded the bathroom The bed was really comfy but the pillows were a little lumpy lovely sitting on the balcony the pool is set across the road and in full sun as well however the first pool wasn’t exactly full and no way to get into no steps or anything needs more water the second pool was ok bit dirty doesn’t look like it gets cleaned plenty of sunloungers with proper cushion to sit on which was nice it does get very loud when the planes take off though there is a games room for kids but not air con certainly wouldn’t recommend the hotel for young kids as no baby pool there is a restaurant at the top u mention ur room number and u get 10% off ur meal I had a meal there and it was nice there’s all a restaurant at the top of the hill called George’s which was simple but nice Breakfast was ok nothing great but plenty of seating the usual hot and cold for food tea/coffee etc staff very helpful n friendly the hotel can arrange a taxi to the airport but costs €25 which is a bit steep but never mind Overall would I recommend the hotel yes for the plane spotting and views of the runway the hotel is near the bus stop for trips to the town and there’s a mini market near the George’s restaurant

No beach near but a lagoon to swim in.

• sophiehL5296GK (8/5): An unforgettable holiday!! Visit here!! - We have just returned from the most incredible 7 night stay here at The Royal Grand Hotel! We arrived early and got checked in to our rooms straight away even though check in is normally at 3pm, our room was perfect with the most picturesque view of the sea, with the comfiest bed we have ever experienced at a hotel! Our room also outlooked onto the runway, at first the noise from the planes was a bit of a shock however we were fully aware, as advertised by the hotel, that this was the case however we soon absolutely loved this unique feature and couldn’t stop watching the planes from our balcony and the amazing sky view bars extremely near by! This hotel is right next to 3/4 restaurants that were all lovely, we especially loved the sushi bar!! Corfu Old town is also a 10-15 minute bus journey, we visited here many times as it was such an easy, hassle free journey. The hotel also arranged tickets and transfer to aqua land so smoothly! A very special mention to the loveliest ladies on reception, who gave us the warmest welcome from the minute we arrived and were so helpful throughout our entire stay. Always friendly and smiley with so much professionalism and was more than happy to recommend nearby things to do and see. We just want to say thank you for giving us a holiday to remember! Visiting here is a must!!
• JoiceExperise (8/5): I left there pleasantly surprised. - After reading the reviews I was very scared of how my experience at the hotel would be but I must say I left there pleasantly surprised. The hotel in itself is very beautiful with lovely places to take photos and I would consider it very close to the town and other attractions such as beaches. Considering we hired a car, most famous beaches were about 45-1hr15 minutes away by car which was good. And the famous monastery literally five minutes away was a plus. A beautiful characteristic of the hotel is the balcony overlooking the plane runways which was also nice. In my 4 night stay there, I cannot say that I was awakened deep at night because of the planes as it is usually quiet at night. During the day, you can definitely hear them but as we were out majority of the time we weren't really bothered by it. The staff were so lovely and helpful as well and you could always ask them questions and advice as they were always open to help. The breakfast staff were also so nice and helpful. The breakfast was good with nothing to special but it definitely helped kickstart the day. The only downfall is the pool which is very deep with no gradual shallowness, if it weren't for that it would be a 5/5.

Staff were amazing so helpful and friendly! Second time I’ve been to this hotel and both times did not disappoint! It was an excellent trip!

Bus stop to town is easy, cheap and a short walk to the bus stop from the hotel. The hotel rooms are a perfect size with good showers and room housekeeping daily. We didn't use the pool but saw it being cleaned every day. Great breakfast options and waiting staff. Reception staff could not have been more helpful in providing extra bits we wanted. Room was ready on arrival even when we arrived earlier. There is a mini market shop nearby and some great restaurants too. This is a gem of a hotel with very attentive, hard working and friendly staff. They all really care about the customer experience. Absolutely loved this hotel and would definitely come here again. The views and aeroplane activity is what really made it for us as we are big plane enthusiasts:)
• NicolaHub (4/5): Please read before booking. - Please read as we decided, after reading the very mixed reviews, that we would give the hotel a chance as the pictures didn’t seem to do the reviews justice at all. We are very open minded and realise some people can be extremely harsh when reviewing……. However, we have just returned from 5 nights in The Royal Grand Hotel, Kanoni Corfu. We upgraded our stay to all inclusive as was only a short stay thinking it would be just what we needed. There is no way an all inclusive option should ever be sold. At best this hotel serves no other purpose than at minimum bed & breakfast. The same food was brought out every night, sometimes heated up from night before or lunchtime. You could actually predict the menu every night, with 2 meat options, slushy mash potatoes (every night and clearly reheated), spaghetti & sauce and warmed up, nasty boiled brussels. The only thing that looked half decent was the salad. The breakfast wasn’t too bad but that’s about it. However the massive bowls of choc spread & Greek style yoghurt seemed to just be brought out of the fridge in the same bowls every morning. As for drinks you could have a cloudy beer, some nasty cheap wine or apple/orange concentrate drink (not fruit juice). You could also have a tea or coffee but once the restaurant was shut there was no other opportunity to get a drink in the main hotel - whether non or alcoholic. Not even a facility to buy water even tho there was a bar and beautiful bar room area that was just never used. As well as this the pool area, which was across the road, was in a severe state of despair. Over grown with weeds, decking buckled and the pool area stained. The ‘pool bar’ that was open was run down, had a hand made shelf with a few bottles on, the ceiling was falling down and looked like a garden shed. You could have a beer or soft drink but that was it. The pool bar did serve ‘snacks’ but were the left overs from the night before, breakfast & lunch. The hotel staff I cannot fault, the housekeepers were lovely, rooms were clean and we had clean towels every day. However, the restaurant manager was rude and very ignorant. The hotel has the potential to be amazing but is truly lacking the TLC it deserves.

Food was blând and repetitive and was horrible and was cold. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone avoid at all costs. Maybe those with good reviews were only in the pub. Horrible place. The receptionist was spraying mist to try alter the smell. My holiday was ruined because of this. Don't come at any cost.
• J6438AQdebbiem (6/5): Enjoyable stay - went to the royal grand hotel for 3 nights with my daughters. the hotel i would say is basic but clean .The beds were okay but the pillows not good .we only stayed as bed and breakfast and the breakfast was okay .one thing i would say to people if you have problems walking this hotel and indeed the area would not be suitable .lots of steps and hills . we enjoyed watching the planes coming in and going out .not for everyone i know .
• Simonexxxxxxxxx (8/5): Fantastic time away - My boyfriend and I stayed at Royal Grand for five nights (October) and had an absolutely fantastic time. Firstly, what views!! Great spot for Corfu beauty spots within ten minute walk - we had something to do every day. Rooms were immaculately clean, with fresh towels and cleaning services daily - couple of small issues with cracked mirror in the bathroom but nothing to ruin the stay. Some reviews mention the airplane noise - Why book a hotel with airport views if you don’t like the noise? My boyfriend is an aviation enthusiast and we enjoyed watching the planes go by whilst relaxing in the pool and outdoor areas. Slight issues with the decking being wobbly in the upper pool area. Poolside food service from attached restaurant and food is brought direct to sun lounger (pay for this service) Food and drinks were on the whole lovely - people have been COMPLAINING about it but everything tasted nice, with breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner being an overall 7/10. Popped out for lunch/dinner a couple of times due to samey meals but on holiday so why not! Staff went above and beyond offering us an extended courtesy room due to terrible weather on our last day. Couldn’t do enough to help us. Everything you need within a ten minute walk of the hotel - mini market, beach etc
• Sandy_Shores61 (4/5): 4 days in Corfu -  Well come back from 4 days on Corfu with my Daughter for a long weekend. Stayed at Kanoni at the Grant Hotel I have to say like other people there are +/- to the Hotel and area. Trasfer time is about 15 mins so if you are on a coach shuttle going round the houses a taxi would only be a small fee about 15 euros. The hotel is set across the way from the Runway.  Planes do come down low and it can be very noisey.  So If you don’t like noise I suggest don’t book this. As it does show the proximity to the runway on most adverts.  Its surprising how many people complain about the noise when there. Not disabled friendly, no ramps, high steps. If you have problems with stairs and steps or disabled this place is not suitable. There is no porter server either. Plus side: Views from our the bedroom lookin over the runway Reception staff nice Clean Comfy bed Maid "Toscana" who was lovely as gave us mossy spray and extra pillows etc Close to bus stop – round the corner Great view of planes Close to other resturants and couple of shops Air conditioning Good signal tv Fridge works Blackout curtains Our flight back was 23.45 but we got an ext room 11-6pm for 50 euros  Views from nearby area are lovely     Against Glass doors on bathrooms not very private and also same in public toilet in Hotel, also no locks Bed sheets bobbly No tea and coffee In the room Shower fallen off wall and Connector all pouring water out. Top shower in ceiling only  letting cold water out.  Have to put toilet paper in bin and not flush. Pillows non-existent  only one so ask for more. Not disabled friendly, no ramps, high steps Only one 2 person lift does t always work Stairs to floors  not lit very dark and worse at night, and steep Bar in reception  not open, so for drinks after meal you are expect to cross the road go down steep steps in the dark and use pool bar. Where there is even more mosquitoes 😪. Bar is always empty as its dark down there too. Do getting proper drink or soft drink non existent. Pool by the day the area is all and people are seen queueing at 10am for beds then all gone.  Not an inviting space to be honest. Resturant: No alcohol with food, no soft drinks ie fanta. Water, apple and orange which are the powdered ones. Terrible coffee machine too. Take your own coffee and t bags   Food... breakfast some of the food hot  and cold even mins after opening . Hotplates don’t keep things hot as I don’t think switched on. Bacon, eggs ok.  Porridge very sweet and rice pudding?  Cold meat and  cheese ok. Cakes biscuits yogurt etc lots of flies round. People were making cheese toasties for breakfast.  Adequate choices. Lunch : meats, even though put out at 12.30 hot ones are cold and hot plates don't keep things hot. Its as though they were cooked at 11 and left around and brought out. Bolognese, chicken and pasta ricer etc . So beware of rice, chicken  as they are usually luke warm. We saw wasps swimming in the ketchup too. It's not food probe tested either.   Greek salads cheese etc ok. If you want puddings stick to ice cream. Others not edible. Evening meal is worse  then lunch. What meats there are, are genuinely dried up. Did  have some nice lamb with spinach, fish piece one night. I'm not a chicken nugget and chips girl. They had a kebab thing that was ok. Everything very repetitive. Resturant staff, pleasent but dont speak English and just nod and smile.  Place was clean and tidy though.  My suggestion hotel is ok for a bed and place to stay but don’t eat there. Couple of places to eat near, Royal bar across the road and Captains round the corner we ate at.  Sky bar is nice and there are a couple of others.  Nothing is honestly worth eating at the Grand and they don’t seem bothered. Seeing the amount of waste of foods they must get some hint?  Area: Kanoni - was 29 deg so lovely weather Mosquitos!!!!! 🦟🦟🦟🦟Oh my!!  ended up after 4 days with 42 bites.  Load of them. Nothing stops them put all sorts on and still bit. Lemon shower gel is a must. They are worse evening night 😪 Nice views Bars and resturants around Steep,  and lots of steps to monestry and boat area. Hill to climb up if steps not taken…. Lots of mossies on the way Fantastic for plane spotter for photographs coming in just above your head. No beach anywhere sadly so for the whole 4 days here didn't get a chance to sunbathe. Others beaches not within walking distance either. Bus to corfu 2euros or 1.2euros if you get the ticket from supermarket.  Corfu Town is lovely. Lots of shops, bars resturants and very cosmopolitan. Lively, clean and very inviting. We went there two days on the trot. Found an amazing olive wood shop “Woodshop by Tom” which a  elderly man i  80's called Tom owned since 1960’s. He made all the products out of Olive Wood . We went there both days and purchased items. The shop is a  history  cavern of his work was amazing. Was a treasure shop and loved it.  Prices are all good round the town , nice items and varied. No beach again and people sunbathing on prom walls. Architecture lovely round the town and very photogenic place. Shop keepers are all lovely and their English is excellent.  Haven't been to corfu since the age of 25 and now 63 but still lovely. Lot has changed and expanded areas for tourism. albeit the midges 😪 which are apparently worse in Sept. So would suggest room only and eat out and get the bus or taxi. 😉
• Stefano (6/5): - Di "Gran" e "Royal" ha proprio poco. E' una struttura sicuramente datata, con camere piccole (almeno per quanto riguarda la tipologia da noi prenotata), bagni strettissimi al punto che la porta di aspre sia verso l'interno che verso l'esterno per consentire ingresso e uscita. La doccia spara acqua sul pavimento e questo crea una forte umidità. L'ascensore, lentissimo, funziona a tratti. L'assenza di un buon sistema di circolazione forzata dell'aria fa sì che per tutto il giorno vi sia odore di cibo proveniente dal ristorante. I balconi vista giardino danno su un appezzamento incolto e sporco di terreno e poco più in là vi è una strada dove posteggiano autobus turistici che rimangono con il motore acceso, quindi creando rumore e inquinamento, per raffreddare l'interno (questo accade non per responsabilità dell'albergo, ma tant'è...). I lettini a bordo piscina hanno materassini sporchi ed unti, la piscina non è in grandissima forma e l'ambiente è rumoroso a causa della vicinanza alla pista dell'aeroporto, che è però anche elemento di fascino perchè fa un certo effetto vedere un enorme aereo passarti vicino. Il personale alla reception è gentilissimo, sempre disponibile e sorridente. Il prezzo adeguato ai servizi. Questi due aspetti salvano la struttura da una valutazione più negativa-

• Tassos (6/5): - De kamer was ok, 4 uit of 5 Het ontbijt eenvoudig, 3,5 uit of 5 was erg verbaasd wel een koelkast maar geen water in de koelkast, bij de receptie gevraagd,,, "we do not offer water" beetje bizar, en zeker in de zomer met een temperatuur van 30 a 35°,,, 🤔 we zijn 4 nachten gebleven geen lakens verschoond en handdoeken, mogelijk door een misverstand,,, 🤔 Wifi erg zwak,,, parking voor het hotel, heb ik altijd plaats gevonden, 5 uit of 5,,, het geluid van de vliegtuigen was aanwezig maar niet storend, als je daar voor kiest,,, zwembad niet bezocht,,, in Korfou genoeg stranden om van de zee heerlijk te genieten,,, eenvoudig hotel, voor paar dagen is redelijk, niet voor lange vakantie,,,

Par contre le café et le jus d’orange étaient très mauvais Nous avions loué une voiture, on passait nos soirées à Corfou et avons fait le tour de l’île ! L’hôtel n’est pas proche des plages, la piscine est sympa pour un plongeon
• Kathrin (6/5): - Die Begrüßung war mehr als unterkühlt, fast schon unfreundlich. Die Bettlaken waren mit gelben Flecken übersät, im Bad stand eine angebrochene Flasche Shampoo. Das Kopfkissen ist quasi nicht vorhanden, so dünn ist es. Wer vor dem Frühstück abreisen muss hat Pech gehabt, der bekommt einen Apfel, eine alte Orange, einen labbrigen Toast und ein Mini Stück Kuchen. Getränk Fehlanzeige, man sei ja ein Grand Hotel.

Reception 24/7 open and you get all support and help! absolutely staff,They are 5stars. I will recommend to everyone! Definitely we will visiting in future again! • Evgeniya (4/5): - It was vety bad smell in the room. The towel had yellow spots all over. Air conditioner was making noise. Breakfast was poor too. Very loud noise from the planes.
• Vianney (8/5): Bien pour une nuit avant de reprendre l’avion - Chambre très confortable, petit déjeuner très correct . En revanche , la piscine et son équipement n’étaient vraiment pas à la hauteur du reste de l’hôtel: étriquée, petite et chaises longues défoncées et en nombre très insuffisant.
• Giorgia (2/5): - We started out having few expectations and we are people who really adapt to everything, but this is a joke. We asked how to use the safe inside the room and they were unable to answer us except that the staff suitable for the question was not present. So we left our possessions unattended and it wasn't pleasant. Furthermore, this morning the cleaning ladies entered the room without knocking and without asking for permission, at a time long before the check out time in which I was getting dressed. We asked why there wasn't hot water to take a shower and were told that the other people in the facility had probably run out of it and to wait a couple of hours to try to use it again. the room was really dirty, in the "garden" it was full of dirt probably left by passers-by and the previous occupants of the room.
• Prabhlin Kaur (6/5): - Sehr laut man hört jedes Flugzeug, auch in der Nacht. Sauberkeit im Zimmer gut & im Bad lässt zu wünschen. Pool sehr runtergekommen. Kein Hotel zum Urlaub machen, eher um eine Nacht zu überbrücken.
• Jéssica (4/5): - I liked the fact that the hotel wasn’t far from both Corfu’s old town, which is the city center, and the airport. Both locations were at easy reach by using the public bus line 2A which has a bus stop almost in front of the hotel. One of the reasons why I chose to book rooms at this hotel was because it has a swimming pool, though once getting there I discovered that the swimming pool is not well maintained or cleaned, showing yellow dirt marks around all the walls of the pool and loose wood tiles on the deck area. About the several things that left us dissatisfied with our stay: there were power-cuts several times during our stay, when the hotel had no light or energy for a couple of minutes. Some days the water on the shower didn’t get warm at all and was quite cold, so it was difficult to take showers. On 2 days of our 5 night stay our room hasn’t been cleaned at all, though we left the hotel early in the morning, only came back at night and left the door tag in front our room door indicating it should be cleaned. In one of the nights, a couple who was staying in one of the hotel rooms started fighting and banging on walls and furnitures, the fight was so loud that it could be heard across one full wing of the property and it took a while until the security staff resolved the issue. Lastly, the breakfast buffet was quite poor in options and in how the food tasted.

• Michael (10/5): - Been there for one night with my wife, booked a double bed room. Last time, my daughter decided to join us and we showed up at the hotel. Although booked they did their best to find a small bed to add to our room, and they didn’t charge us. Excellent service, well done!

• David (10/5): - Preis Leistung Verhältnisse war echt top ist zwar etwas laut wegen der Start-, und Landebahn aber wem das nicht stört für denn ist das Hotel perfekt. Für wenig Geld bekommt man schon ein gutes sauberes Zimmer inklusive Frühstück und Pool. Personal war sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit auch wenn man nicht so gut englisch spricht. Mit dem Bus der direkten am Hotel alle 20 min ab fährt kommt man bis in die alt Stadt (Zentrum) auch da wider ein Daumen hoch
• maria (6/5): Not bad 2nd time visit - So we stayed here in june with friends and had a great time only fault then was the breakfast , this time back for a long weekend with family was disappointed our room wasnt cleaned once and we had the same towels for 4 days , breakfast still a bit rubbish but if your not too fussy its ok . We where given another room for the day as we had a late check out it was a pool side much bigger than the main hotel and the bathroom was better all in all had a nice weekend 😀

Hotel is noisy due to the runaway few issues with air conditioning and no access for anyone disabled or elderly. - lots of stairs. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Great place if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle
• Corry (8/5): - Quiet area and out of town. noisy as it overlooks the airport. Hot showers were little hit and miss and the Aircon did not work fantastically. Very limited toiletries and no room service. Staff were very helpful and public transport into town is great as is the taxi service
• Ruth (10/5): Amazing Hotel - This is an amazing hotel, we have stayed there five times and every time we go, we cannot get over the customer hospitality and service we receive. From being warmly greeted by the reception staff, clean and comfortable bedrooms, a good variety of foods and drinks and the great location of this hotel. Close to the local bus and air services, makes it an ideal base for anyone wanting to explore Corfu. Absolutely stunning scenery!
• Radu (6/5): - The property is in a nice location, with a very close bus station, nice restaurants and views from which you can take photos with the incoming airplanes. On the other hand its a bit noisy because of the airplanes but you get used to it. A problem was that the housekeeping changed the towels only after 4 days of using. The AC and the fridge were making a lot of loud noises, not sure why but it kept us awake sometimes during the night. Some people staying on the same floor were laughing and making loud noises in the middle of the night, 2-3AM and no staff told them to go quiet on that hours. The breakfast was ok-ish, the only problem I got there is that the coffee machine which was supposed to make 5-6 types of coffee, made only regular coffee. The pool, somehow clean but very salty water (maybe because thats how they keep it clean) and sometimes with a strong smell of chlorine which is not that pleasant. Overall a bit dissapointed.
• Christopher (6/5): - Direkt neben der Landebahn gelegen, dadurch sehr laut. War uns aber im Vorhinein klar. Frühstück ist alles vorhanden, allerding ist die Qualität nicht sonderlich gut. Tische extrem dreckig (vor allem im Aussenbereich). Zimmer relativ sauber, der Aufzug und die Gänge erinnern an eine Jugendherberge.

• Alexander (10/5): - The hotel is conveniently located with sea view and airport view...planes taking off or landing there is an entertainment for guests. The facility is in very good condition and the staff is friendly and approachable. Cleanness in rooms and communal areas is definitely something to highlight.
• Verified traveler (4/5): A bit of a disappointment - The main hotel and lobby was very clean and relaxing with helpful receptionist. But overall this hotel is a disappointment. We were given a room away from the main hotel, which smelled of damp and cat urine. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. The outside area was really scruffy and overgrown and obviously hadn’t been maintained at all. The pool is across the road which is dangerous for children. This hotel really needs improvement

• Ruvelyn (4/5): - We arrived at Corfu around midnight and decided to stay at The Royal because it looked like a decent hotel for the price and to stay for just one night. We weren’t expecting much but surprisingly the room was nice and clean. The service on the other hand was very disappointing. At check in nothing was explained to us, we were given our keys and that’s it. They didn’t even mention or confirm our included breakfast. I had to ask where it was and the schedule. We were not given wifi info. When I tried calling the front desk a few times, no one answered. They did not seem to have things in order. I paid our room when I reserved through Expedia and when we got there they asked me to pay again. Good thing I was able to show proof.
• Jared (8/5): Would stay again - Great little hotel and great location for exploring around Corfu Town. It is located right next to the runway so expect noise, but I loved this and the location was great for amazing views, including the sight of planes coming in over the sea. Reception staff were very polite and helpful and I’d definitely stay again
• cinzia (6/5): Not so good….. - We were assigned to the annex , across the street from the main building. The room was humid , AC didn’t work properly and the bed wasn’t comfortable, Overall not a good stay . The breakfast was super good , to be completely honest.
