• Imran (8/5): - Overall, Marian Hotel is a decent choice, though with some considerations. The hotel seems to attract mostly younger guests, so it may not be the best option for families. The breakfast options are limited, but the lady managing it was very cooperative and did her best to accommodate us. The rooms were okay, though the bathroom lacked proper ventilation, which could be improved. The price feels a bit high compared to the services offered. Additionally, a €100 deposit is required for potential damages, which is fully refunded if everything is in satisfactory condition upon checkout. Be aware that air conditioning and Wi-Fi require an additional daily fee. One downside was that some of the younger guests were quite noisy at night, which affected the overall experience.
• Chiara (6/5): - Ottima posizione per raggiungere la via principale di Laganas a piedi. L’hotel era bello, anche le stanze carine, bella piscina. Unico problema della pulizia è che la stanza appena consegnata era pulita ma poi in una settimana di soggiorno non è stata pulita neanche una volta, venivano solo cambiati i sacchetti dei cestini e gli asciugamani. In reception c’è scritto “fare silenzio dalle 22:00” cosa che non veniva rispettata e spesso c’era rumore e schiamazzi all’interno dell’hotel tutta la notte. In generale comunque il soggiorno è stato piacevole e il personale dell’hotel gentile e disponibile.
• Zaak (4/5): - Evening Receptionist is the most annoying condescending woman ever, talks to you like a child and is not understanding at all. She talks for ages but manages to say barely anything important. Room was okay but shower was rubbish. Not enough lighting in the room either.

• Stacey (10/5): Great stay - What can i say....this hotel saved our holiday in zante after a horrendous first day in the "5star" hotel Cavo Orient Hotel!! The Mariana hotel made our stay fun and relaxing. Hotel staff were great and very helpful during our stay. Would definitely come back. Thanks to Pete and Naomi for your hospitality.
• Serhat (2/5): Sämsta hotellet jag varit på mariana hotel - Extrem dålig service. Fanns ingen hårfön och skulle man ha det i rummet så kostade det 3 euro per natt. Wifi 5 euro per natt för varje enhet. Men det var inte det sjukaste. Spela BILJARD kostade 2 euro per SPEL???? Jag har aldrig hört om ett 3 stjärnigt hotell med allt detta och deras frukost var dålig och dom letade efrer fel hela tiden för att kunna ta pengar ifrån oss. Ett sänglakan blev lite snutsig och dom ville dra bort 20euro från handpenningen vi gav i början? Dom är helt dumma i huvudet och vi gick runt till andra restaurwnger i närhet för frukost osv. Även dom hwr hört massa dåligt från andra personer om det hotellet
• ELENI (6/5): - Στην τιμή ηταν μονο το δωμάτιο. Το aircondition ήταν έξτρα, το wifi έξτρα. Η καθαριοτητα ηταν ελλειπής.
• Luca (2/5): - All'arrivo il personale ci ha fatto aspettare 20 minuti perché erano ignari della nostra prenotazione (fatta con Expedia). Contrariamente a quanto indicato su Expedia, aria condizionata e wifi non sono incluse e devono essere pagate a parte con supplemento. Abbiamo usato la nostra biancheria perché le lenzuola e gli asciugamani erano sporchi. Personale inadeguato alla gestione di una struttura alberghiera, in particolar modo il personale della reception e del bar fronte piscina. Il nostro checkout è durato 40 minuti, perché oltre al controllo di routine della nostra stanza per la restituzione della caparra, si era creato un altro problema in un'altra stanza e hanno preferito risolvere prima l'altro problema mentre noi aspettavamo. La caparra ci è stata restituita ma nemmeno si sono scusati per l'attesa. Credo che Expedia debba verificare le informazioni che i gestori pubblicano (banalmente le recensioni potrebbero essere tenute in considerazione) perché il suo buon nome potrebbe risentirne. L'albergo è frequentato da molti inglesi come tutta la zona che prolungavano le loro feste fino a tarda notte con rumore senza il minimo intervento della direzione. Tra l'altro il desk di reception era presidiato solo dalle 9 alle 18, per il resto non c'era nessuno. Il servizio del bar è a dir poco pessimo, abbiamo atteso 30 minuti per 2 nescaffe. La struttura è inadatta a coppie o famiglie ma è indirizzata a chi si ubriaca facendo festa fino al mattino perché non c'è controllo.
• TAKAHIRO (2/5): This is the WORST hotel in Zakynthos. - THIS HOTEL is the worst hotel in Zakynthos. That is because ●All my clothes were stolen. I reported the hotel staffs, but they DIDN'T support and DIDN'T find my clothes at all. ●All cameras in this hotel doesn't work. So I couldn't find a thief. ●Check in and check out took too much time. I had to be stayed at the reception for about an hour. I missed the tour because of this hotel. ●We can use wifi only the pool side. And this wifi often didn't work. Also very very slow. If we can use wifi in our room, we must pay much extra money. That's why this is the WORST hotel I've stayed all hotels in my life. Please don't stay Mariana hotel. このホテルは絶対に泊まらない方がいいです。理由は ●干していた服は盗まれました。監視カメラがホテルにあるから調べてくれと言っても作動していないから無理だと言われ、何もしてくれませんでした。 ●チェックインとチェックアウトの手続きがかなり遅いです。1時間以上待たされた挙句、ピックアップに間に合わずツアーにも参加できなかったです。従業員も怠慢です。 ●WiFiがプールサイドでしか使えず、自分の部屋で使う場合は余分にお金を払えと言われました。HPにそのようなことはないと聞いたにも関わらず、払わないと使わせないとの一点張りでした。プールサイドのWiFiもかなり遅く、時間が経ってばすぐにパスワードも変えられてしまうので、30分も連続で使えません。 値段以下の最低のホテルでした。みなさんが別のホテルでザキントスを楽しませることを願います。
• Callum (2/5): Money making scam - Do not stay in Hotel Mariana, Laganas. Greeted by the two rudest and non approachable members of staff I have ever encountered, not sure how they acquired a job working in the service sector. I travelled with 3 other friends and we were all immediately required to provide a €50 euro breakage deposit, each, despite the website being unclear of this policy; it states just €50. Disgusting. As soon as we arrived at he hotel an eighth of our spending money had been given to Hotel Mariana which was returned at the end of the holiday; what is the use of being reimbursed €50 each at the end of the holiday? Moreover, the hotel owners, two males, were completely hostile upon arrival and clearly had no intention to make our stay as enjoyable as possible! Abruptly being told that I wasn’t allowed my own bottle of water beside the pool in almost 30 degrees heat? Outrageous. All refreshements and food had to be purchased from the hotel bar, whom charged €2 for one bottle of water; I suppose we could have afforded to buy one bottle of water per day if we were not obligated to pay €50 each upfront for no valid reason. Expedia states on their website that Hotel Mariana has wifi - perfect! But, of course, the money orientated hotel required guests to purchase an item from the bar in exchange for the wifi password. Upon recieving the password, one of the male owners voices a sarcastic, arrogant comment ‘I can’t even get on the wifi’ - at least the staff at Hotel Mariana are professional.
• shona (2/5): Awful! - Please do not go to this hotel, id rather sleep on the beds at the beach then spend it here again. The staff was rude, expecially the Australian owner who pretends to be head of security. You cant drink in the room, you cant let anyone into the room unless theyve paid to stay, theres no reception so if you arrive at 5am like we did and expect to be accomodated for think again. Your in the lobby. The litter is diabolical, im suprised the plague hasnt hit that hotel hard. Please stay away

• Enrico (4/5): Esperienza negativa - Personale maleducato, camere poco pulite, assenza di aria condizionata e per averla ho dovuto pagare un supplemento di 50 euro, assenza di phon,rumore in stanza, addette pulizia che facevano un baccano insopportabile la mattina presto parlando tra di loro, frigorifero rumorosissimo stile anni 30, camera rumorosa e poco pulita, non cambiavano gli asciugamani tutti i giorni e solo una volta le lenzuola in una settimana! Non accettano carte di credito nel 2017! SCONSIGLIATISSIMO!

• Verified traveler (2/5): Worst hotel ever! - Mark my words. DO NOT STAY HERE! They penny-pinch you for everything! 7euro per night for air conditioning. 35euro per person/per week.. which barely even works! They don't give you the password, they type it in themselves so when it doesn't connect, you have to go to the bar area for them to type it in again! The managers and workers hang out by the bar playing on their phones and laptops in casual clothes. The place is very noisy!!!! Children are constantly screaming past midnight. You can hear loud drunks everywhere. There was a gieco crawling on the walls. And the room wrenched of a really old building. Do not waste your money Bc the manager, peter will not cooperate with you. He does not care if you leave Bc he already got paid. Horrible service. Horrible property. This is more like a MOTEL not hotel.
• Stu (4/5): Do not stay here - Owners are very rude, we had problems with our air conditioner and the exact words were "you get what you pay for" from the owner. Rooms look absolutely nothing like the images. Just imagine all the room furniture without decorations or ornaments. It's very plain. You are charged extra for air con. Upon arrival they will take 50€ from you as a damage deposit due to the type of customers they get (this hotel is just on the end of the clubbing strip so lots of young people getting drunk and partying throughout the night). Do not book this hotel if you wish to bring children, nude women images posted all over the bar. Pool is filthy. Breakfast is not cooked, you'll be lucky if they even microwave the bacon. The Wi-Fi is not free. You must buy a drink to get the Wi-Fi password everyday as they change the password daily. Do not recommend this hotel whatsoever.

• alex (4/5): Crap hotel - We stayed here for 5 nights. Had to pay €50 upfront each incase we damaged the rooms. There was no staff on the front desk to check us in, another guest advised us we have to go over the bar grab a member of staff to check us in. There is about 3 members of staff and there is no one manning the front desk so there is no one to ask questions or if you needed help you had to literallygo looking. Towels where not replaced you get one towel each. Tv air and air con and wifi you have to pay for! You only get wifi if you buy a drink at the hotel and you do not get a code they enter it in manually and it only lasts for a few hours! So every day you would ideally have to buy a drink to renew the wifi code! The island was beautiful and luckily we were out every day so didn't spend to much time in the hotel but definitely would NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN! Also the staff try and ban you from buying food and drink to put in your room which is ridiculous ! They have signs in the room advising you not to do this unless It's purchased from their small crusty bar! Me and my friend are young and 20 years old we didn't go to party we explored different parts of the island and I felt so small and used in this hotel! Would not stay there is no customer service and I feel like we were ripped of by staying in this hotel!the balcony was nice that's about it and the pool.

Ligger avsides från allt hålligång, så inga problem att sova.De bytte wifi-kod varje dag och man fick koden om man handlade i baren. Till det priset borde både wifi och ac ingå.Vill aldrig bo där igen.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Non male ma con qualcosa da rivedere! - Dovrebbero migliorare le condizioni del check in, visto che all'arrivo non c'era nessuno alla reception, la signora si è presentata dopo più di mezz'ora. Il presunto WiFi gratuito non lo era affatto e non è disponibile in camera ma solo nelle aree comuni. Come ultimo suggerimento c'è quello di sopprimere il pappagallo che starnazzava a tutte le ore del giorno e della notte.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Party central - There is not wifi in the room, and the wifi at the reception it useless, and they won't give you the web password unless you buy something at the bar everyday (it changes everyday). The pool is nice, but needs a bit more cleaning. This is meant for party animals but the staff has had a difficult time and does not trust the kids that stay there - understandable for some of the fools. The hotel is lovely, it could be an amazing place. The entire strip is crazy at night - lots of partying and drinking, not a family place. At night the partying starts in the rooms - if you want to sleep bring ear plugs. They were blaring music and partying all night. The staff did make the loudest music stop at midnight when I asked. It says air conditioning in the hotels.ca add - but they want to charge you 7 euros a night for it. They have ceiling fans that do not work. I was told that the air conditioning doesn't work very well anyway. They have a list in the rooms telling you how much everything in the room costs if you break it. In fact they will delay your exit so that they can check your room before you leave. Also they expect 50 euros in cash per person as a deposit that they will give back at the end - if you don't break anything. The beds are hard, and we didn't get the room that we booked.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect for girls holiday! - 2 of us went out recently for a girls week away and were just looking for something really cheap near the beach/town, and were so happy with how nice the hotel is despite the great price. You do get what you pay for and do expect to have a few extra charges for things like aircon/food (although we were happy without both!). Otherwise its a really lovely place to stay with all the other guests being students like us looking for a week away, and only a 5 min walk from the strip and 10 from the beach, both of which are at the end of the road.
• monica (2/5): The worst hotel ever!!! Do NOT ruin your holiday! - I had booked this hotel before reading all the terrible reviews about it! I hoped that people had exaggerated as I am very easy to please!.... unfortunately this was not the case! 1. The first room we had was so old fashioned, filled with creepy crawlies, smudged insect marks on the walls, smelt mouldy. The bathroom was so outdated, it took 10-15 minuted for hot water to heat up ( I learnt a method to run the tap and the shower at the same time heats the water quicker). The room was stuffy and I woke up with a blocked nose every morning! 2. We was greeted by a nice lady who told us all the hotel rules and one in particular was guests had overnight visitors they would be charged 10euros! Don't agree with it but that's fine. One night in put stay we stayed at a secluded villa and returned the following night with the help of my brother, who was rudely and aggressively greeted by hotel owners insisting that he's trespassing and shouting at the height of their voices which also disturbed other guests. As well as that they physically pushed him as he tried to make them understand that he's helping us over our suitcases back in. The hotel owner even ripped off my suitcase tag to try to verify ownership! At the end of the day, their responsibilities are to ensure their hotel facilities are running functually not about any family members I have visiting me that are not causing a disturbance to any other guests. 3. The cleaners tried to steal 3 pairs of footwear from my roommate!

• Verified traveler (2/5): Negative energy - PLEASE READ. Wifi: It's not free, you have to buy a drink to use it (2 euro soft drink). Everyday the password chances. Then everyday you have to buy drink. Staff put the password in you mobile. Then if you are with a friend, you have to buy 2 drinks. Wifi doesn't work in the apartments. For use air-conditioning, you have to pay a tax. The staffs is not friendly. They are rude (2 guys) and seems like they are in vacation. Common find them sleeping. I asked about the hospital because I was not feeling well and the answer was in the same way if I had asked about what time it was. They don't care about you. The deposit for de key is 50 euro or you passport. Ridiculous. It's a simple key. Visitors to your apartment is not allowed, except if you rent another apartment for a price above that you have already rented yours. There is a bird that sing, very strong, every single morning. Nobody can sleep with that noise, it's impossible. The singing starts about 7h30.

• jean-jacques (2/5): A éviter ! - Et dire que cet établissement à la prétention d’accueillir des touristes ! On peut parler au mieux d’une auberge de jeunesse. Et encore… L’accueil fut particulièrement détestable. Staff agressif et désagréable. Chambre avec vu sur terrain vague. Air conditionné en supplément. Pas de TV. Pas de rideaux. Clientèle composée majoritairement de jeunes anglo-saxons alcoolisés sirotant leur bière en bord de piscine avec musique à fond les ballons. La liste des désagréments est trop longue. A fuir !
• Jocelyne (6/5): Bruyant et manque de confort - Accueil moyen, il n'y a pas de réceptionniste, le barman (un anglais...) tient ce rôle, personne ne vous accompagne à votre chambre ni ne se propose de vous aider à porter vos bagages. Le matelas est dur, il n'y a qu'un linge de toilette par personne, pas de linge pour la vaisselle alors qu'il s'agit d'un studio. Pas de produit de vaisselle ni d'éponge. Un seul article de vaisselle par personne (assiettes, verres, couverts, etc.). Pas de tapis de bain. L'air conditionné n'est pas inclus et est cher (7 EUR/jour). Le lieu est bruyant, car fréquenté par des jeunes venus faire la fête qui n'ont aucun égard pour les autres hôtes de l'hôtel (par exemple sautent et crient dans la piscine à 6h du matin et aucun personnel de l'hôtel n'est présent pour intervenir). Eviter de séjourner dans le bâtiment autour de la piscine si l'on veut un peu de calme (les autres bâtiments ne sont pas forcément beaucoup plus calmes si les gens sont bruyants...). Tout est payant: l'air conditionné, bouilloire électrique, sèche-cheveux, toaster, etc. Une liste affichée dans la chambre indique aussi le coût de chaque objet que l'on aurait la malchance d'endommager... La journée le lieu est calme! Le studio pour 3 personnes est spacieux avec une grande terrasse. La piscine est agréable. Laganas est un lieu pour les jeunes venus faire la fête, bars, discos, restaus, boutiques de souvenirs.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Much better than expected! - Stayed here for a week 28th-5th of July 2015, at first we were nervous of some of the bad reviews but we were suprised at how good the hotel was! Staff were lovely and the facilities were good! Would definitely recommend, perfect for girls holiday!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great staff - The owners and staff were lovely. I needed wifi as I was away working and they let me stay around the bar for many hours to get signal. Very clean rooms. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

• Hannah Clarke (8/5): Nice hotel, very clean, good location - We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very clean and the pool area is lovely. As long as nothing is damaged, the managers are really nice. It is a great location just about a 5 min walk from the beach- almost on the strip but not right on it so you can get a pretty decent sleep! Perfect for a girls holiday!
• K (8/5): Nice hotel 10mins from centre of main strip - Stayed in early June so hotel was not yet in fully party season. Room was reasonable for the rate we paid and you can add on extras like a safe and air con but we did not need either. Hotel is a 10min walk from the main strip and off the main road which means you don't get noise from traffic and clubs. The guys Pete and John have a brilliant attitude providing you are respectful of there rules. Would defiantly to come and stay again.
• Bogdan (2/5): Poor experience (please do not ignore this review) - First of all the rooms look nothing like on the website, the bathroom is really old and dirty, it has no shower cabin or curtain so when you shower you are going to have a flood. During our one week stay we've had our room cleaned once and our towels changed as well just once! The hotel staff is really poor organised, they wake up very late and serve breakfast at around 10 a.m. Although it says on the website that you have a breakfast boufet and you pay for it when you go there you find out things are really not like that: they serve you a very poor continental breakfast and they try to sell you their English breakfast. The furniture inside the rooms looks as if it has been for a wodden cottage. Your are not allowed to deposit/drink products that are not from their supermarket. On the website it says you have your parking space included, well it is inluded on the street on which the hotel lies. No hairdryer, no tv etc. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone that is used to a three star hotel because it looks more like a hostel. I really don't understand what is with all the other good reviews that I took into consideration when I booked my trip.
• Lads hol (8/5): Lads holiday - We stayed 9 nights at the Mariana and what you can't fault is the owners John and Pete. They know their audience and they add an extra star at least to this review. The hotel itself is good, large clean room, reasonable beds, excellent value really. The negatives for us were it could be quiet, not always a bad thing but for our holiday not ideal. The location is mixed, you're at the top of the strip basically, a good 10 minute walk to the beach and the bottom of the strip, but a good selection of restaurants and amenities and only 3-4 minutes to the first bar.
• Rashed (8/5): Very friendly manager - The hotel is nice and clean. the manager is so friendly and sweet. My friend and I became friends with him. He's very friendly, funny and gives very good tips and recommendations. However, the fan and AC is for an extra charge, but overall, it was excellent. I'll stay here if I come again.
