• Rainer (9/5): Traumanwesen super für Weinliebhaber - Agroturismo inmitten der Weinberge eine Supertoskaners (Tenuta Tignanello). Sehr schöner erfrischender Pool mit vielen Liegeplätzen. Ausgesuchtes Frühstücksbuffet, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Lediglich das Restaurant (Trattoria La Fonte) hat uns (außer der Weinkarte natürlich) nicht überzeugt. Es war nicht schlecht, aber dem Hause Antinori nicht angemessen.

The location is great if you want to stay somewhere a bit more secluded. The service was too slow and at times unfriendly. It took several attempts to get what we wanted. Overall, it doesn’t offer the value you would expect for the prices they charge.

Praktischerweise gibt es auf dem Gelände auch eine zugehörige Trattoria mit sehr leckeren Gerichten. Das Prei-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt leider nicht (für Zimmerausstattung und -größe) und man fühlt sich wie ein Gast von vielen.

• Beat (9/5): Erholung in den toskanischen Weinbergen - Wir sind von Follonica über Siena angereist und schon die Fahrt durch die traumhaften Weinberge der Toskana war ein Erlebnis für sich. Die Unterkunft Fonte De’ Medici liegt mitten im herrlichen Tignanello-Weinberg – ein perfekter Ort für Ruhe und Erholung. Die Anlage besteht aus verschiedenen authentischen Häusern, geschmackvoll ausgestattet und mit viel Charme. Unser Zimmer war gemütlich eingerichtet, das Badezimmer modern und sehr sauber. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Aussicht – ein weiter Blick über die Weinberge, der zu jeder Tageszeit begeistert. Das Restaurant bietet eine hervorragende, authentische toskanische Küche, dazu ein sehr gutes Frühstück am Morgen. Auch der Pool ist toll: grosszügig, mit vielen Liegen – teils unter Bäumen, sodass man auch im Schatten entspannen kann. Ein besonderer Tipp ist der Besuch der Kellerei Antinori, die nur etwa 20 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad entfernt liegt. Für den Rückweg ist allerdings ein E-Bike empfehlenswert, da es bergauf geht. Insgesamt eine traumhafte Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage, ideal für Weinliebhaber und Genisser der toskanischen Landschaft. Sehr empfehlenswert! Ein Elektrofahrrad steht nicht zur Verfügung. Ich würde auch gerne für die Nutzung von Elektrovelos zahlen.

• Johannes (7/5): - We went here as part of our honeymoon. It is in a lovely setting and the restaurant food was great. We had a big spacious and clean room. Nice to be able to use mountain bikes for free. Breakfast offered good bread and scrambled eggs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was closed which was disappointing. Like most places in Italy, the breakfast options are overall very sweet (no unsweetened yoghurt for instance).
• Jill (8/5): Overall nice, though probably would not stay again. - Location was generally central, albeit the roads can be very narrow (and do not follow google maps in from the east as that’s horribly treacherous), so only choose if you’re comfortable on country roads. The pool and grounds would be amazing in the summer months. Room was large with nice sitting area. While the hotel has AC, it was not yet turned on centrally so the room was cool during the day with windows open but would get very warm at night with the windows closed for security and darkness. The breakfast was fine but basic. There are also a lot of ants everywhere (including on the table) which I suppose is to happen when you’re in nature.

• Vincent (10/5): A lovely peaceful retreat in Chianti wine great views, food, wine and helpful attentive staff - At the end of a Tuscany tour this was a lovely and peaceful setting in the heart of Chianti with some great views overlooking the vines, amazing food in the restaurant and some exceptional wines complete with a wine tasting and wine shop so we could return with some of the amazing Antinori wines from our trip. Staff such as Annalise were super nice looking after us and hosting our wine tasting. The receptionist also gave some great advice to visit Badia a Passignano which was a great way to spend our last morning too. Not much only to say the air conditioning unit was a little noisy at times

Aber seit hierfür 15 € pro Person extra berechnet werden, muss man einfach festhalten: es ist sehr primitiv und lieblos. Diese deutliche Preiserhöhung ist in keinster Weise gerechfertigt Die Kissen sind sehr hart und die laute monströse Klimananlage vor dem Schlafzimmerfenster unserer Junior Suite war eine Zumutung

• Barbara (10/5): Einzigartig und wunderschöner Ort für erholsame Tage im Herzen der Chiantiregion! - Das Fonte de Medici liegt einzigartig an einem der schönsten Orte in der Chiantiregion. Orte wie Florenz, Siena, Greve, Panzano, Castellina in Chianti, San Gimignano, Radda etc. sind vom Fonte de Medici innert nützlicher Frist sehr gut erreichbar (z.B. mit dem eigenen PW). Die Zimmer sind individuell, wunderschön und sehr geschmackvoll im mediteranen Stil eingerichtet. Die Umgebung des Anwesens ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt. Das Personal war äusserst freundlich, aufmerksam und ebenso hilfsbereit uns alle Fragen zu beantworten. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und hat uns sehr geschmeckt. Das Ambiente in der Trattoria und ebenso die hochstehende Küche und die ausgezeichneten Weine der Familie Antiori rundeten unseren Aufenthalt ab. Wir durften die Gastfreundschaft in den letzten Jahren mehrmals geniessen und wir werden im nächten Jahr bestimmt wieder an diesen herrlichen Ort zurückkehren. Übrigens fühlte sich auch unser Hund sehr wohl und er war auch sehr willkommen. Gibt nichts anzumerken.

Breakfasts were included with our stay and were delicious, and the service was always attentive and pleasant. The front desk staff were particularly helpful providing recommendations for our stay. The only thing we felt like we were missing was a larger TV in our room - although we spent the majority of the time out and about, it would have been nice for unwinding at the end of the day.
