Guest Reviews
- david (6/5): - Its central to the town, could do with a refit
- David (6/5): - Hotel is ok,near the town,sevice is good
- Stephen Adetunji (4/5): Needs upgrade - The hotel is old and is not well-kept. The carpets were smelly, it was damp, and we had to go to the reception every time for them to switch on the AC-Heater. The owners need to sell the place to a network hotel chain.
- Aisling (6/5): Close and affordable - Staff were lovely. The room was quite shabby and a lot of things such as the carpet need replacing around the edge. The bedding was freshly changed. The air conditioning was really noisy so we had to turn it off. It was noisy outside. However the shower water was lovely and hot. The shower was in a bath which was very difficult to get out of.
- Aide (8/5): - Staff very friendly and always with a smile. Rooms are good and clean
- Zhian k (2/5): - More staff
Hairdryer
- Conor (6/5): - Other reviews for this hotel are a little bit harsh, considering the price of the hotel.
Whilst they hit the nail on the head to highlight that it is not the calibre of one of the hotelsadjacent to the airport, it is however a perfect layover if youbjave an early flight.
My interaction with the staff was entirely pleasant. My biggest gripe, was that my room faced the main road, was single paned glass and as such, I was woken up a couple of times by boy racers outside.
However, providing I have an incredibly early flight again, I genuinely wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.
- ryan (2/5): Avoid at all cost - I dont have anything good to say about this experience staff were rude, building in disarray and far from clean.
- Marva (6/5): - The hotel need refurbished and lobby smelling of smoke which i was surprised because they told us no smoking.and there was no restaurant, we had to order in and no bar, nothing like what is on the website.
The wall paper pealing off the wall the, the mattress was uncomfortable.
The receptionist were very nice and helpful.
- david (10/5): - Staff excellent, very helpful, good hotel
- Marlon (2/5): - The bed was broke the place was dirty and full of junkies
- David (8/5): - Very good hotel, excellent service and friendly staff
- david (6/5): - Average price for the area
- Aga (2/5): Avoid - The service was terrible. They said free parking on the advert but when i arrived they said i have to pay £15 for 24hr parking. The woman in the reception doesn't know any customer service whatsoever. It seems like she was being forced to work. I ordered food and asked for a plate and glass which they didn't have. The sink in the toilet was dirty when i arrived. Allover it was a terrible experience
- Kaci (2/5): Do not stay here - I left this hotel the same day of arrival . There was black mold and bedbugs in my room. The staff agreed to change my room which I appreciated however this room was just as bad. There were stains in the bath and on the carpets. There was also lots of mold in every draw in the room. I did not feel safe at all in this hotel as there was also some people outside by my window
- david (6/5): - It,s ok,it Central and the staff are very helpful
- John Martin Mc (4/5): - Was told by cleaner that they would not wash cups for guests....general cleniness was poor and staff were unfriendly. Felt like guests were an annoyance for them!!! Not good! Good point....cheap hotel and location was good.
- Richard (10/5): - Having had a hard few days the staff at this hotel have gone above and beoned to keep myself in a space I fell confit
- Mohsin (10/5): - .
- Siddhardha (2/5): - Washroom is smelly
- chanelle (2/5): - Absolutely disgusting first room smelt like urine so we got moved and the next room was covered in mould and had mouse droppings in bedroom
- laura.anne (6/5): - The place was ok for some where to sleep but no bar or resturant and have to pay£15 a night for parking
- Imtiaz (6/5): - Carpet was dusty and shower pipe leaking
- Memory (4/5): Dirth bathroom - The tub and sink as well as taps
- Kyle (10/5): - It was a great place and staff were lovely.
- Jezeen (2/5): Pathetic condition - Very unclean, low light, bad mattress, stinky carpets.
- Les (6/5): - Although website shows a bar and dining facilities. Neither were available. Generally the hotel is a little run down, but the bed was comfortable.
Air conditioning in the room was very noisy with no option to switch it off
- Sage (4/5): - I didn’t love it. Needs a lot of fixing up. Felt very dirty and smelly.
- Ese (2/5): Stuart hotel - Stuart hotel is a bad place, my room stinked from old rug and seems someone smoked weed before i checked in. The toilet sink, bath tub and toilet were old with permanent stains. I could not sit on the toilet to pee.
The room has no intercom to contact the reception, I had to look out for their contact number on google to call the reception.
The place was cool enough but became too cold and no remote control or switch to put off the air condition.
Overall, its a bad place, wont recommend it and will never use that hotel again
- Paul (2/5): Worst place i have ever stayed (dire) - Where to start?
Reception not helpful at all, dirty everywhere
A man sat in the reception watching porn and when we informed the receptionist the shrugged and said that he does it all the time.
Hair, cobwebs even toenail clippings stuck in the carpet. Cigarette butts put out above room door, drunks and druggies outside all night too much to add anything else.
Videos and photos taken.
- Md habibur (8/5): - Good
- Scott (4/5): - Bathroom was dirty, shower fixing was broken, A/C was rattling so kept us awake and was to hot to turn off.
- John (8/5): - This hotel needs tidying up but all in all was fit for what we needed the room was clean need touching up and painting beds was comfy but single bed headgaurd was loose to find the hotel carpark was a bit confusing i would stay again its reasonable priced for what it is
- Segun (2/5): - The bed in the room was uncomfortable. The air conditioning unit was noisy throughout the night. The surrounding area was so loud. Bathroom was terrible. The kettle in the room was unusable
- Bianca Sonia (4/5): - I recently stayed at the Stuart Hotel for a quick budget stopover. The room was clean and spacious enough, though a little dated. It served its purpose well for a short stay. The kids really enjoyed having a bathtub, which was a nice bonus.
However, the service left a lot to be desired — staff checked us in but were otherwise quite disengaged throughout our stay. The biggest disappointment was being charged £15 for one night's parking. As someone who works in a 4-star Hilton where we charge just £5 per night, this felt excessive and purely driven by profit.
Overall, it's a decent option for a budget night, but the parking charge really soured the experience.
- Mark (2/5): - There was poo in the toilet that had been left for god knows how long and the whole place smelt like cigerettes. Should be shut down, signs for asbestos warnings in the hallway it was like a horror film
- David (6/5): Close to Luton Airport - A bit jaded hotel, however room was clean a well provided with towels for two guests. Almost no space between the toilet and shower screen which forced you to sit sideways.my room was on the 1st floor and overlooked the street, as the metal framed window didn’t shut, there was a lot of noise, night and morning. I used this hotel as I was travelling to the airport which only to 12 mins , so good. Inexpensive so you get what you get? Would I use it again, yes but request another room location. Hotel has parking for 10-12 cars and charged at £ 15 p night , my charge was waived as I was blue badge holder.
- Attila (10/5): - Excellent stay.
My go to hotel whenever I need accommodation in Luton.
Great value, great comfort.
- Andre (8/5): - It was ok for the price
- mohammad (8/5): - Receptionists are welcoming. Wonderful behaviour! I'm very pleased over them.
- Irina (6/5): - The place was clean.
- Andrew (2/5): Disappointing - Unfortunately its an old hotel requiring refurbishment, rooms are dirty, mould on the windows, air con that you have no control over and bugs found in the bathroom. Wouldnt recommend a stay here
- Abdul Ahad (2/5): - Very bad
- Saiful (6/5): - Good
- Abdul Ahad (2/5): - Very bad experience
- Gagan (8/5): - Good Staff And Good Stat
- Sola (10/5): Good hotel - Excellent. Just basic.
- Alan (2/5): Disappointment - The smell from the carpets was horrendous. Absolutely disgusting. Advertises, bar and restaurant that didn’t exist false advertisement
- Keith (4/5): - On arrival a group of males were obviously having a drink in reception. Drinking from their own cans and being loud and rude. The receptionist was a female and clearly there was no control.
The public areas were dirty although the room was quite clean. The mattress had seen better days and was lumpy and uncomfortable.
- Karandeep (8/5): - Good
- Nanak (2/5): - Never visit again
- Brian (2/5): Just don't do it - Not a nice place. Stay somewhere else.
- Marguerite (4/5): - No lift made mobility limited.. it was said to be fixed.. disappointing stay
- Yuvie (10/5): - The lady was amazing..
Very helpful.....
Facilities for the price you pay are extremely decent....
The bedding and the bed were so snug and comfortable....
The shower and bathroom were really nice too.....
Lovely spacious room for the money you pay..
- Manjot (6/5): - Don't know what kinda strange stink coming out of the heating system. As the glasses of window are single glazed, and the hotel is located on the edge of the main road, it's too noisy at 24×7.
Staff is nice but there's no bar and restaurant as its showing into their website. As compared to other hotels, the services are weak, and no much facilities. They don't even providing a single bottle of water. If the person is new to the town, they just showing the way to them for buy from outside. I came from so far just for work purpose not stayed with my relatives but preferred to book a hotel. But very disappointed. Please be prepared with everything before going.
- Gurpreet (8/5): - Good
- Chinthaka (6/5): - Ventilator not working, lot of noisy
- Samuel (2/5): - This is the worse hotel I have never lodged
Upon entry the corridor was smelling terribly, the pillow is disgusting.there was no lift we had to use the stairs to the third floor with heavy baggages.
- Fereshteh (4/5): - The toilet smelled, could not use the bath as plug was not to the size, shower stand too high.
First night was extremely noisy. Subsequent night the smell of the toilet did now allow good night rest.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Had to hold my breathe through a smoke smell permeated hallway to get to my room.
- Satya (6/5): - Convenient area, but property and facilities are outdated. Faulty A/c.. Faulty lift... broken taps...
- Naman (2/5): - Dirty stairs , windows not opening , AC not working , dirty bathrooms .
Worst hotel ever .
- Godwin (10/5): - Their service was great, I’ll definitely come again.
- Cloud (10/5): - Brilliant
- Mubbashar (4/5): - Didn’t looked it much but my staying there was a chaos. Also I forget my charger there in room where I stayed.
- Chris (2/5): - Awful
First impression very messy
Tv didn’t work right
Air conditioning unit had been broken would switch off and made a racket making sleeping impossible
Shiny tiled floor in bathroom and shower with missing curtain
Unusable
Overall overpriced waste of time
Complaints fell on deaf ears
- Toyin (2/5): - The lift was broken and we had to walk up the stairs to the third floor . The room had no table or chair to sit . No cups in the room . Hotel had no bath soap in the bathroom .
- Stephen (8/5): - Need to get the lift fixed imm disabled but room was clean and tidy nice touch te and coffe in room a
- Shane (2/5): Avoid at all costs - The guy at the reception was a terrible host. To begin with, I arrived 45 minutes prior to check in, and just asked to have the key and would not enter the room as I would be returning later that evening, all I got back was "no". I then said I would return in 45 mins. I did, he gave me the check in card with no words. I had to ask him what the room number was, and where abouts is the room. This is meant to be the first person who welcomes me, first impressions count, and this was to continue.
We found our room, eventually. Opened the door to what can only be described as a sauna. The "air con", only had one level of temperature and could not be adjusted. After trying to unpack, my partner and I did not like the place or the feeling it gave us. We left immidiately, and did not return.
I wouldn't stay here for free, do not stay here. A bulldozer would be the best guest for this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Would book again if no other choices - Hotel itself is nice downstairs but hallway stank really bad, hotel was dirty marks on sheets . Window wouldn’t stay open and one wouldn’t open. The ac was broken no remote to try fix work it. Luckily the tv worked. Although had to clean bathroom before hand I had a lovely bath water is very hot hood pressure
- Xhoana (2/5): - This is a hotel I’d never return back to. It was the most unhygienic and vile place I’ve seen.
The bedsheets had marks on them from previous guests, the toilet smell was something you couldn’t ignore and from the moment I stepped into my room, all you could smell was cigarettes.
The lift was broken , and our room was on the 4th floor.
The fire alarm went off at 9pm when I was ready to get some rest and everyone had to go downstairs just to be told that someone is smoking in of the rooms.
The room looked as if was not catered after at all and had been left in the same condition that was left from previous guests which was disgusting.
Would not recommend !! Very unsanitary.
- Anie (10/5): - Best hotel i ever had stayed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disgusting, run down , homeless hostel - Despite me telling them at the time of booking , that I am disabled, they didn't inform me that the lift doesn't work , and hasn't worked since march! My room was in the second floor! Then they wanted to charge me £15 per night for parking , despite my blue badge. The hotel itself is run down and more like a hostel than a hotel, noisy, shouting during the night, overall disgusting , would not recommend
- Petrica (10/5): - Ok
- Ghosoun (4/5): - No refrigerator no slipper
Lift out of service all the time!
No fridge in all hotel!
Bad service even with forks and spoon.
No mirror in our room, that was important!
No hair dryer!
Bathroom washing was old stock with yellow stains
- John (2/5): - I turned up at 12:30 to cancel my booking because of unexpected circumstances but reception told me to contact Expedia. My wife’s iPhone was not working away from home and reception couldn’t help us.
- Abhilash (2/5): - Checked in to property and had problem with a blocked pipe on the floor water outside the hall way staff informed us we need to move to different hotel stood on reception for more than 1 hour trying to speak to receptionist as he was sorting another hotel at 3am no professional service receptionist wasn't helpful at all , asked for a taxi service hotel people wasn't happy to provide us one and asked us to pay for it even we paid full booking fee , wouldn't recommend avoid at any cost worst place in town 👎
- Alexandra Estera (2/5): - :(
- Mercy (6/5): - Not bad but lift was not working and was on the 3rd floor with my mother who is not in good health.
- Nikki (10/5): Friendly n clean - Staff was friendly and helpful clean rooms theres £100 deposit but we booked here few times now we will book again and again nice small break away and cheap
- Viorel (10/5): - Simple and clean
- Ross (2/5): - It was nasty, room had mould on windows. Lift not working. Room just felt unclean. We went up to the room and pretty much turned round and left!
- Georgina (8/5): - Close to shopping facilities friendly staff and lovely room
- Christopher (2/5): Stay somewhere else - Park very expensive near hotel, hotel wanted £50 deposit, fire alarm went off in early hours of morning, drunks people shouting and banging in late evening.
Cheap and nasty
- Akshara (4/5): - Firstly the lift wasn’t working, secondly after getting into the room I noticed that the air con wasn’t working nor was I able to open the windows. The room was like a sauna. Worst of the worst was middle of the night the fire alarm went off and they management to turn it off second in the morning was going off for a good 20 mins. Imagine my ears were ringing like mad. With the air con not working and windows not opening they didn’t even suggest to get a change or of rooms. So expect the very least.
- Julian (8/5): Decent - Basic hotel, single glazing means room noisy at night. Lift out of order during my stay.
- Andrew (2/5): Awful place - Run down establishment with a half hearted attempt at renovation done, it looks like, on the cheap. Mould in the room I stayed in. Lift not working, as you climb the stairs you will notice the Asbestos warning signs and the blocked off fire hoses on each floor. Car park ( or local rubbish site ) £15 per night! I will not be returning, expect little and you won’t be disappointed. Better establishments locally for the same price.
- Paige (2/5): - Terrible
- Julie (8/5): - clean
- Reece (4/5): - No remote for tv and aircon plus the power button for the aircon was broke was it was permanently on and there was loads of flies in the room
- Olumuyiwa (2/5): - Unfriendly staff too noisy and dirty
- Spencer (4/5): - Good price but very disappointing experience, the room had a double bed but no furniture!? I wasn’t aware I needed to request a bedside table or dressing table!
my partner ended up with carpet burns from the carpet which needed a clean tbh!
Was hoping for a full length mirror as I like a room with a view!
Staff were friendly and arranged a room with a bath which helped to scrub down my partner!
The shower worked fine and water was hot!
Overall we wont be returning!
- Gerta (4/5): - I did like the staff friendly, the room is smelly, the air-condition is old and noisy
- Janine (2/5): - Staff
- Albi (10/5): - Thanks
- Abduz (10/5): - Excellent
- Sonu (10/5): - Location
- Nitin (10/5): - Amazing!
- Omayar (4/5): - La di da di da
- Clive (2/5): - I would be happy if i got a full refund.
