Guest Reviews
- Markey (3/5): - No elevator.. or ramps for anyone handicap only steps.. Beds were ok. Blankets provided upon arrival we're terrible, was only a flat sheet. Asked for additional Blankets and was provided only 1 and wasn't much better. Toilet seat popped off hinges and would not stay locked on. Supply closet next door and employees were in there making noise all night long, very disturbing. Carpet was dirty and stained and ceiling had water marks.
- Theresa (9/5): This is a nice place for a reasonable price. - I liked the proximity to the Preserve and other Chincoteague "essentials"--The Pony Tails candy store, Asian Cuisine, and the Famous pizza place. McDonald's is nearby too. The view is nice and the upkeep of the property is commended. I realize that breakfast is not a priority for you. It is booked as a Continental breakfast. Having "buttered toast", waffles, yogurt, cold cereal, and /or instant oatmeal, plus bananas with coffee and juice does qualify as a continental breakfast, yet it is a minimal breakfast. We were grateful for the bananas and the yogurt and coffee. Would it be possible to add hard-boiled eggs to add "protein" to the menu?
- Viktorija (10/5): Perfect location for those who plan walking trips to the park - Our stay @Days Inn by Wyndham Chincoteague Island was merely one night and it was perfect for what we needed. The staff was amazing, very helpful, friendly and polite. Our room was clean, beds comfortable. All in all, I would stay here again without hesitations. N/A

- 925nillp (10/5): Affordable and pleasant - Best place to stay. Place was very clean. Continental breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
- charlenen274 (10/5): We were pleased - Don’t sleep on this—Great deal. Super clean and hard working staff. Continental breakfast did its job—freshly brewed coffee, cereal, waffle maker, yogurt, etc Very kind staff. Quick ride to the refuge. Got my money’s worth. Special s/o to Chrystal, the manager.
Good bedding.
- Vicki (5/5): It was ok but would stay somewhere else the next visit. - The location The ‘breakfast’ offered was a selection on 4 pieces of bread for toast, 2 containers of yogurt, 2 types of cereal with a half inch of milk in a gallon jug , waffle batter and coffee. The bed was very close to the wall making it difficult for 2 adults to get into the bed.
- Robin (9/5): The location was great, the breakfast was ok, but not as much to choose from as most of the places. - location breakfast
- John (10/5): - Breakfast
- Jeff (8/5): -
- N3841GCsarahf (10/5): Good experience. Very helpful. - I had a good experience. Everything was fine. People were very nice.
- Jennifer (9/5): - The noise.
- Browning (8/5): I'd stay here again - The staff was nice, I didn't have any issues! The breakfast was mostly just sliced bread, could have been better
- Samara (4/5): - Mold. Rust. Smelled terrible
- L2139NPcrystalm (10/5): Birthday - We stayed at this hotel for my daughter’s birthday. She brought a few of her friends and they enjoyed their stay. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was amazingly nice. Room was decorated for the occasion. Thank you for making my daughters birthday special.
- crelleys (10/5): Highly recommend for a relaxing stay! - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Days Inn and she could take Island and I couldn’t be more impressed with my experience for the moment I arrive. The customer service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly welcoming and always ready to help with anything I needed, which made me feel right at home. The rooms itself was very clean, comfortable and well maintaining everything was in great condition and it was clear that the hotel takes pride and providing a pleasant and relaxing environment for their guests. I will highly recommend this location to anyone visiting the area and would definitely stay here again in the future.
- Capers (9/5): -
- Cush (8/5): Great Value for a no-frills stay - Great value , Great location Couldn't find staff to check in - but in all fairness , it was off-season
- Bobby (6/5): -
- Jennifer (8/5): -
- J4353ALtammys (10/5): Great time away - Staff waa awesome. Rooms clean and plenty of pillows. Coffee was one of the best we have had at a hotel in awhile.
- Kevonte (10/5): -
- Bobby (1/5): Bad - Nothing The staff worried about their sleep when someone trying to check in. breakfast bread and spoiled milk and out of date yogurt.
- Kemper (10/5): Only stayed one night. The clerk was very nice. Room had everything I needed. very satisfied. - left before breakfast electric outlet at nightstand was loose. extra outlet at nightstand would be nice
- Ronald (10/5): -
- walenczyk (4/5): We not be returning to this facility. We were very disappointed. - Not much. The girl at the desk was very nice and helped us carry in our bags because there were no luggage dolly’s. Bathtub didn’t have nonslip bottom, almost fell twice. Blow dryer wasn’t secured into the wall so it fell off the wall. Door to the was smashed in on the inside so there was no extra security lock because it was broken off the hollow core door. Breakfast was nonexistent except for 5 slices of bread and an apple that was there the night before when we arrived.
- Guest (9/5): - The room was clean The heater took forever to warm up the room.
- Benjamin (3/5): What used to be a good experience is VERY disappointing to say the least. - The bedding was clean, and the room was readily available and easily accessible. - The staff could have actually been at the desk instead of having to continually ring a door bell to have her run to the balcony to call down instead of being at the desk. Additionally, the general lack of care about concerns was off-putting.
- The door to the bathroom in our room did not latch without some effort of lifting and finagling it in just the right way to have it latch. Incredibly inconvenient with children.
- The breakfast was not a breakfast. It was a paltry offering of items that included oatmeal packets dated 2019 and juice that was spoiled among the few other items.
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- DyQuasiah (5/5): -
- Guest (1/5): Will not return. - did not eat breakfast Entire place needs renovated. Almost got scalded when ran shower...not kidding..major safety issue . Room had holes in walls, cracked door, furniture scratched, dented. No extra safety on door.
Staff of one (?) had already moved my room from one with filthy tub drain area.
Guests set off alarm in room running hot shower to heat their room as heater not working(supposedly) so no sleep second night.
I slept on top of bed as not sure if mattress efc. filthy or bed bugs etc. The place smelled very musty...mold?
Should be given refund...
- Alethea (6/5): Convenient to Assateague Beach - The location was great...very close to the National Seashore, restaurants and shops. Breakfast consisted of regular coffee (no decaf brewed), white or whole wheat bread for toast, jelly & butter, cold cereal, packets of instant oatmeal, milk and yogurt.
We ended up eating out instead.
- Darwin (8/5): -
- Guest (10/5): - Everything was good, manager was very nice and helpful
- Thomas (6/5): - The room was dated and had a foul musky odor. The facility is dated, the beds were not comfortable. Staff were nice, the stay was ok for one night and a fair price but not my favorite.
- Cristina (7/5): -
- Mildred (5/5): Good value for location and a comfy bed - Location Room had a musty smell that wouldn’t go away even with air freshener
- Tina (10/5): - Loved the staff so personable . Location convenient to get around.
- Elsa (9/5): Very nice hotel for a fair price - Staff was very friendly. The carpeting could have been a little cleaner, but they weren't terrible.
- Bonnie (8/5): Comfortable room - The room was comfortable. Had an issue using the coffee maker as there weren’t enough electric outlets and had to move it to the dresser to use it. The bathroom was not set up for short persons as the towel rack is very high. The handicap ramp is one one side of the building but the parking is on the other side. Even with all these issues, the stay was okay.
- S110JHcarlb (10/5): Pleasant - Very nice receptionist and owner. This Days Inn is very well managed. This shows with the clean motel and helpful employees.
- Mark W. (9/5): - Location, staff, quiet Bathroom exhaust fan noisy, could have more options for breakfast.
- M Roberta (8/5): - The location was great. Close to all the attractions.
- george a (10/5): Clean rooms. - Pretty good place.
- tuan (9/5): -
- Karen (6/5): - Stay was ok. Breakfast was lacking a lot. Got charged twice when I checked in online and when I paid through hotels.com
- Joshua (4/5): Mold-saturated carpet overshadows friendly facade and desirable conveniences - The location is nice and the concept is simple… Have a nice and affordable family lodging close to the major attractions of Chincoteague. I am still traumatized by the mold that was embedded into the carpeted flooring and then covered by some disgusting menthol, scented cleaning products. Those odors of half mold and half strong chemicals permeated into all of our clothing and my children’s stuffed animals and my CPAP equipment. As soon as I smelled it, I felt as though we were in an unsafe environment that was being covered over with cheap sprays and scents. When you walk around to other parts of the building, you can smell the mold that is not being covered by the cleaning products. The bottom line is that in the year 2025 absolutely no lodging should have carpeted floors if they struggle with moisture control or mold. The carpeted flooring throughout this building and throughout all of the rooms is saturated with mold. If I would have realized that this would have affected me for weeks afterward would have demanded my money back and ended my vacation rather than stay at this place in Chincoteague.
- Corrina (8/5): Can’t wait to come back - I really loved the property and the way we could use the grill and the pool was beautiful The mini fridge in our room the freezer was all full of ice and the door wouldn’t shut and our showerhead was broken so it was inconvenience, but they took care of the showerhead right away
- Hamid Wali (10/5): -
- Chris (4/5): - Location Mold and smell in room
- Maria (8/5): -
- Syd (10/5): -
- Ruth (8/5): Very good, very clean, beds were really good. Breakfast could have been better. - Very clean It was good.. property is fine. Beds were really good!
- Patricia Cisneros (2/5): - I have always gone to this hotel because I like the location and the staff has always been excellent... but I was disappointed this last time I went with my whole family. We had rented like 8 rooms in total. The receptionist who was there that time on August 23, 2025, at 9 in the morning we arrived and came out and yelled at us. I don't know if it's racism towards us for being Hispanic, but the truth is I don't think I'll go back to that hotel.
- Kulp (9/5): -
- Dijkjes (7/5): -
- carl (10/5): - Friendly staff and good location to everything
- Joseph (8/5): - Very nice hotel close to park entrance. Pool and hotel area clean, innkeepers very friendly.
- Andrew (10/5): - This was in a great location. Close to everything in Chincoteague and a short drive to Assateague. The pool and grounds were in great condition. The staff was friendly. Only downsides were the room was a bit humid, and the continental breakfast was meager.
- Sharon (5/5): We enjoyed our visit to Chincoteague even though the beach was closed. - Location Room was damp, smelled musty and the carpet felt wet. Waffles tasted funny and the syrup was not to our liking.
- rose (10/5): - crystal WAS OUTSTANDING. tHERE IS no elevator and I was on the 2nd floor. She carried my suitcase up the stairs when I arrived and down the steps when I left.
- Sally (10/5): - This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. We have stayed in Chincoteague many times but have never stayed here. Staff was very kind. We will certainly be back!
- Guest (10/5): Had a great experience here, will definitely book again! - Very close to everything, especially the beach. The property was clean inside and out. Pool was nice. Only suggestion would maybe put in a second waffle iron for the breakfast. Some mornings we had to wait quite a while to get a chance to make one.
- Jose (10/5): -
- Guest (1/5): It was an awful experience -
- Katelyn (8/5): Overall good place to stay - The hotel was nice and everything was clean. very conveniently located close to the beach and nearby shops. front desk help was hard to find at check in and check out. had to wait 10mins at check in for someone to come which is fine because we got there later in the evening, however when we went to check out at around 830, we waited 15mins for someone to come at which point we wrote a note and left our key at the desk and they didnt email me my invoice for another 15mins. so we would have waited 30mins just for someone to come to the desk for us to check out. very friendly and helpful staff, just hard to find when we needed them.
- Ronald (1/5): Used condoms found floating in the pool. - Falling apart. Broken hand rails with nails sticking up.
- Christine (10/5): - Manager was accommodating! Friendly! Carpets needs to be upgraded and Bfast needs to be better but for the price great stay!
- Maria (5/5): -
- Rudis (10/5): - I like everything in the property
- gabrielle (8/5): -
- Guest (10/5): Great Time!!!! - It was very clean and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was good.
- Mélanie (10/5): - Bon emplacement et chouette piscine
- Keith (2/5): - Dirty stained hair covered sheets. Never go there again.
- Guest (9/5): -
- Eden (10/5): - The most like is customer service excellent
I like breakfast options & the bed very comfortable, internet access very good
- Elizabeth (5/5): - Air conditioning. Housekeeping. Towels.
- Brandy (8/5): - Loved the bed and plenty of pillows. This is an older hotel, nothing fancy, but everything works as it should. Very comfortable, microwave and fridge were clean and in great condition. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasn't the best, cereal, some whole fruit, and waffles but only one waffle maker. Great for kids, though, ours were thrilled with the waffles. Our room was very clean, didn't smell like chemicals to cover any scent. Pool was clean and in good shape. Walking to food, shops, water park. Would definitely stay again
- Jimmy (10/5): - Staff was very attentive. Owner was very friendly. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. A little dated.
- Sue (5/5): -
- Sabine (6/5): - Freundliches Personal, dicht zum Naturreservat Sehr hellhörig, man konnte die Unterhaltung im Nachbarzimmer hören, unangenehmer Zimmergeruch
- davehR4555ZB (6/5): One night in Chincoteague - Musty room. Great, helpful staff. Will match online discount if call local number direct. Breakfast minimal. Coffee good.
- Bethany (10/5): - The manager was more than accommodating and friendly, working with our travel plans. Very nice location to walk or ride bicycles. Take a right hand turn and you're at Chincoteague Beach in just over a mile.
- Tsigereda (10/5): The place is convinance for everting, and they all friendly and the place is clean - The location I like it all the time, for me it’s like family hose
- William (10/5): - Perfect
- Guest (7/5): It was a good stay. - Room was clean, and the location is very convenient to restaurants and shops. The fact that there was no night table on one side of the bed made it inconvenient. The window could have an extra curtain in addition to the block out curtain.
- Joette (1/5): - The only good thing I can say is that it is in a good location and the bed was comfortable The room smelled absolutely horrible. The carpet was dirty and the ac unit was covered in mold. There was some splatter on the ceiling, the mirrors were smeary. There were dirty feet prints on the wall and cob webs everywhere. The lobby was dirty and looked like a storage area. The lobby was very hot and the stairs thay led to the qns floor looked as though they have never been cleaned. Way overpriced for such a bad place. I'm surprised they are still in business. No coffee till 7am and breakfast was literally waffles, cereal or toast. I definitely will not be staying here again
- mia (4/5): - To start, check-in was 3 PM. We arrived at 2:40 the rude woman at the front desk said there’s no rooms available, that we were early,
and to come back in an hour yet we were only 20 minutes early. Then she charged my credit card while we were gone, even though I requested to pay in cash. She couldn’t or wouldn’t reverse that. Then our room STANK!! A light fixture had no shade, threre were moth holes in the “blackout” curtains, lots of them, the tub was stained but the stench was unreal!!! Like urine, mildew throughout even the hallway, but the room even worse. It was the second worst hotel experience of my life. One good thing, the location was convenient
- Witherite (10/5): Management was very nice - Quiet
- Guest (9/5): -
- Allan (8/5): - Like: the location, the staff was great
Dislike: the room was very small. Housekeeping was slow. We come back to room in the afternoon and the bed was not made yet. They had only taken the dirty towels and had not replaced yet - had to go and ask for them and then told them no need to make the bed now and that was okay with us.
- Guest (5/5): Glad it was only 2 days - The location was great. The breakfast was minimal to say the least. The option of waffles and hard butter, the cereal was pretty empty, couldn’t even find the milk at first and a couple slices of white bread. The staff was ok but could be doing more than on phones. Pool needed to be cleaned.
- Bethany (10/5): - "Mr T" was most accommodating and friendly at the front desk. Clean, comfortable rooms with friendly staff and nice accommodations.
- Thomas (4/5): - When checking in clerk said park in the back so we thought there was an entrance to get to ⁰
- Guest (1/5): poor - None of it That they are dishonest and they double charged me for a late check out
- Mary (7/5): -
- Xochilt (9/5): -
- Yasha (8/5): - Great location
