- CherimieW (10/5): We have already planned a return visit! Remarkable!! - From the moment we walked through the doors to the time we left, our expectations were exceeded in every way. Anna greeted us warmly with recommendations taking time to make sure we had everything we needed. The hotel itself is a testament to what it means to support and promote local culture and art. We fell in love with a few art pieces and ended up meeting the artist! The rooms are so clean, comfortable and the complimentary coffee, tea, water and hot cocoa was such a nice treat. The location made walking and biking a breeze. We could even see Lake Champlain from our room! We dined at the hotel restaurant, Juniper several times- each time surpassed expectation. Our servers were kind, polite and attentive. I cannot say enough about this hotel. I've traveled the world and it is easily on my top 5. It was so refreshing to receive such warm and friendly service. On our flight home, I was already planning our next visit. No matter if it's business, pleasure or adventure- this hotel should be the top of your list. Thank you Hotel Vermont for making this trip one we won't soon forget!!

I was here for work in the spring of 2025, liked it so much I returned when visiting town with my child for UVM admitted students day in the spring of 2026.

Convenient parking, very clean and modern, nicely appointed rooms, comfortable lobby area, good breakfast, and friendly staff all around. Easy walk to everything in downtown Burlington. Would definitely stay here again, it exceeded expectations.
- Discover06343180510 (10/5): Excellent Hotel in Burlington, Vermont - We have stayed at this hotel several times, the latest for 2 nights the end of October, 2025. We have several family members who live in Vermont. We have enjoyed all of our stays at this hotel. The rooms are comfortable with excellent amenities. The halls have coffee makers which provide top notch coffee and espresso, both caffeinated and decaf. The first door of the hotel has a restaurant and bar. We’ve enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant, with excellent food and service. In addition, there is live entertainment several time a week. The level 2 chargers in the adjacent garage, which we’ve used, are convenient to the hotel. It’s a short walk to the Church Street pedestrian commercial area from the hotel.

Morning breakfast server for carry outs ( she was working behind the bar) seemed a bit rushed and inconvenienced with my take out order. I wish they had a server on patio to avoid always getting up to order and get your own drinks. Evening bartenders were fun and engaging.

The decor is modern and simple, a little sparse... The room was large. There are no dressers in the rooms, just some low shelves that are not that easy to use for storing clothing. As in all hotels, I wish there were more hooks in the bathroom. I would stay again.

- 745Entertainment (10/5): Great spot in downtown Burlington. Just book it. - Fantastic experience at this modern hotel. The woodwork throughout is well done and functional. The room itself is fantastic. The toilet is separated from the shower, and has its own sink. Still has sliding barn doors, but it sealed well unlike most modern hotels. Very comfortable bed, quality sheets, and a window that opens, fantastic! Great water bottle fill station with a nespresso like coffee machine in the hallway, all free. Parking next door was very easy, and had very convenient and cheap EV charging. We'll absolutely stay at this hotel again upon our next visit to VT.

The water bottle and one of the glasses appeared to have e a little mold/dirt in them and there was mold growing in the shower. Have never had this problem with Hotel Vermont.

- David (10/5): 5 stars - We couldn't be more happy with our stay. The hotel staff was super accommodating to our needs. We used the hotel as a base for a cycling trip. They agreed to receive our bike from UPS a day early, allowed us to take the bike to our room, agreed to store the bike case while we rode north for a few days, and agreed to allow UPS to pick up the bike from the hotel after we departed. The rooms were spacious, had high-end artisanal soap made in Vermont, and were very clean. Each floor has a centrally located on-demand, freshly ground coffee machine and a sparkling water dispenser. The hotel is well located to many downtown restaurants. I would stay here again without hesitation.

I don't know where to start: The ideal location, overlooking Lake Champlain and within easy walking distance to Church Street Marketplace? The friendly and super-helpful staff? The beautiful room? The luxurious towels and linens? All the Vermont touches, including books by Vermont authors, in your room? The excellent coffee, with real milk and cream in a little fridge, on every floor? That you could drink from a beautiful Vermont-made mug? That there was also ice-cold sparkling and still water on every floor? Shall I go on??!! We stayed in a corner king room with a gorgeous lake view -- pretty close to perfection. And a tip for travelers who, like us, sometimes prefer to eat simply, the nearby City Market/Onion River Co-op has a terrific selection of excellent prepared foods, salad bar and hot bar, good bread, even foods like breakfast burritos in the morning.

- Jennifer (10/5): Clean and comfortable - This hotel is very clean and comfortable. We have stayed here three years in a row and also enjoy the fitness facilities and breakfast in the morning. The one thing that might impact future stays is the cost at just over $700 a night.

Everyone was so friendly, property was clean, smelled pleasant and the amenities of coffee and water on each floor was a perfect touch! We felt right at home. I also loved that everything in our room was made in Vermont! Can't wait to return!

- lisls2025 (2/5): Dishonest - Dishonest valet. Accidentally tipped 5 fiftys instead of 5 ones for a 2 hr bar night. He pocketed the 250 then left shortly after and would not return. We had a big bill at junipers plus had rented two nice rooms. Manager couldnt care less, didnt return calls or in any way show concern for hotels dishonesty. None of us in party will return, they apparently dont need future clients.

- AFM1415 (10/5): I Love This Hotel - I don't have extensive experience with Vermont, but I've got enough, and I can't imagine any hotel better exemplifying and representing its location than the Hotel Vermont. Vermont-ness exudes throughout the hotel, with ingredients from local ingredients in the restaurant, Juniper, local glass creations from AO Glass (where you can do a glass-blowing class), and beers from local brewers. The architecture and decor also perfectly represent Vermont. The homey, cozy, woody upscale design is truly lovely. There are also complimentary bike rentals available so you can explore beautiful Lake Champlain. However, like other great hotels, what separates the Hotel Vermont is the team. To name just a few, Tim, Ace, Dawson, Meredith, Julie, and Alyana made our recent stays wonderful with their complete dedication to the customer experience. I can't say enough about the Hotel Vermont. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Burlington.
- David (10/5): - This is a very unique hotel. The bathroom is 2 rooms, which is a little odd, and the whole configuration is different, not bad, just different. Had a lot of road construction in the area, which affected our walkability, but we managed. The bed was comfortable.

I loved the flannel bathrobe. It was so easy to walk down the hall to the beverage station to get delicious coffee and sparkling water. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. There are comments on the price in some reviews but I found our stay worth every penny.

- Andrew (4/5): - My car was vandalized in the parking garage attached to the hotel. The person at the front desk told me that the parking garage is a separate business and I should take it up with them. Parking garage did have security cameras so I filed a report with the Burlington police. Still waiting to hear back but I won't hold my breath. My main complaint is how unsurprised they were that my car was vandalized while charging in the overnight charger. They even told me that another car charging at the adjacent charger was vandalized that night as well. Maybe a bad review will spur them to do something about this ongoing problem. Everything else was fine but they need to provide a little more protection for cars charging overnight or at least take some accountability this ongoing problem. My suggestion is to move the EV chargers away from the street entrance. Most likely somebody with a hatred for EVs saw one charging and decided to do something stupid.

- Patrick (10/5): - There is no place in Burlington I'd rather stay than the Hotel Vermont! This is my fifth trip staying at this hotel in as many years. This is such a unique hotel next to two typical chain hotels. It's a boutique hotel filled with all things local. A celebration of Vermont. Juniper is a great in-house restaraunt and tge second Hen of the Wood is next door. And for good reason. The staff are phenomenal and welcoming and they sell local items from the rooms in the gift shop. The rooms have a smart design with separate room for the toilet and bath with frosted barn doors that open into the room. While chain hotels put you in a generic room, this honestly feels like comfort of home...from the tweed wool bathrobe to the local authored books to the real plant in the room. Feels warm and cozy. My only minor beef is that the attached parking garage is shared with college students, so you may not end up with a spot next to the hotel door from the garage. But that is easy to overlook with everything else this hotel has to offer. If you're tired of the same old, this hotel has you covered!

- Tracy (10/5): - This hotel is exceptional from impeccable service to thoughtful yet sophisticated design. My two daughters and I went to tour UVM and booked one (Friday) night in a king w/trundle bed room. The night before the hotel called to say they happily anticipated our visit and wanted to know if we would like the trundle made up ahead of time, which we appreciated. Upon arrival valet was quick to greet us and we were escorted to check in. The mood of the lobby and exposed (Juniper) bar was warm and modern rustic — with talented live guitar performer — without being Vermont cliche. On floor 5 they feature a lovely cafe bar with oat and almond milk, tea and a fountain of still and sparkling water which you can fill with a sizable room carafe and Vermont-artisan-crafted mugs. The king/trundle room was perfect for 3 adults: the king bed is on a high platform and the twin trundle pulls from the foot leaving plenty of space to walk and access the shower/sink room OR the toilet sink room (brilliantly separated). The decor is charming yet simple and if you like anything you can scan and order said items for yourself in your room. Quick walk to Church Street. We were too tired to dine at Juniper Friday night but saw the “late night menu” in the room and ordered the Milk & Cookies. THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES ever — a thin crisp crunch layer on the outside with warm, delicious high quality chocolate on the inside. We extended our stay and had fondue Saturday night at Juniper. AMAZING.

- Office (10/5): - This is our go to hotel in Burlington. Their attention to detail and helpfulness of the staff is superb. But I wanted to comment specifically on this visit. We arrived very early and did not expect to be able to get in the room so far ahead of check-in, but the wonderful staff accommodated us And it was extremely helpful during a short visit. Thanks for everything.
- Jennifer (10/5): Loved this hotel! Top notch service and touches! - Hotel Vermont is a fabulous property. I will stay here again. Loved the vibe. There is a restaurant next to properly and one inside. Staff at front desk is very friendly and give excellent recommendations. There is coffee and water on every floor. They had apples in baskets for snacks. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Had a nice bathroom-toilet was separate from shower. Near the downtown area and lots of shops and restaurants are present within walking distance. Only recommendation from me would be to offer room service. Otherwise, this ranks as a 9/10.

The service at the front desk was so gracious and welcoming with Meredith. The roaring Woodfire was kept meticulously by Jessie who was lovely and engaging. The restaurant team was perfection couldn’t have had a nicer dinner. The food was amazing and welcome was five star.. I’ll be looking for excuses to go to Burlington in the coming months just so I can stay at Hotel Vermont.
- Erin (10/5): - Love this place! Beautiful amenities, and rooms. I especially loved the coffee bar on each floor! My adult children and I sat by the fireplace at night playing card games, and enjoying the fabulous drinks at the bar. In the morning I looked out over the lake drinking my coffee.
- Bryan (8/5): - Overall a good experience. Modern newer hotel, with nice features and breakfast diner. The bed was too soft for my liking, and the shower only had a rain shower, no wand. :(

We arrived late on Friday night with 15 min left to order food and Colin was so gracious. Nolan at check in was very helpful. The Tesla charger is such a bonus. All around one of my top hotels ever actually!
