• Abigail (7/5): - Beautiful location and grounds, close to Franschoek centre and the many wine farms. We booked a room that included a bath, but were only given a room with a shower. For the very high price, and for only staying one night, we also felt the check-out time at 10:30am was too early. We asked if we could check out a bit later, but were only given 15 extra minutes (it was a Sunday). We would have loved to have a bit longer to enjoy our stay, especially as the check in time was only from 2pm.

• Katy (10/5): Beautiful, relaxing stay - Beautiful property, so picturesque! Lavender field isn’t in bloom out of summer months but it’s still so pretty. The room had a beautiful view of the field and mountains. Loved relaxing by the pool. We also had a picnic which was lovely.

Unfortunately, I was contacted shortly after the booking by an illegitimate party pretending to be the hotel, via apps and emails. In other words, my data had been leaked through their IT system. Despite sending an email to the hotel, I only received a response months later. This should and can be improved. Personal data is important, especially in these times!

• Latifa (8/5): Preis-Leistung ok - Das Estate an auch ist sehr schön und die Lage 5 Minuten außerhalb von Franschhoek super. Sehr gut hat uns auch der Poolbereich gefallen. Das Frühstück ist super, wobei vor allem der Kaffee besonders hervorzuheben ist. Hands down, easily the best coffee in the Winelands!!! Zu kurze Betten (nur 190cm) Milchglas in der Tür zum Bad, welches direkt an den Schlafbereich angrenzte. Von außen fiel Licht ins Bad und von dort durch das Milchglas auf das Bett. Auch wenn jemand im Bad das Licht anmachte, war das Bett sofort hell erleuchtet. Da hat man leider so gar nicht mitgedacht. Ein easy Fix wäre ein Rollo an der Badezimmertür!

• Jonathan (10/5): Beautiful guest house just outside Franschhoek - We had a fantastic stay at Lavender Farm Boutique Guest House. The suites were well designed and extremely comfortable, on a par with the best we've ever stayed in. Excellent breakfast, cooked to order, with a really good buffet as well, including chocolate bread and butter pudding! Surroundings and views were stunning as well. Great location just outside Franschhoek, but you need a car as too far to walk. Service was excellent and staff were really friendly. Our only criticism would be that the tiles on the shower floor were rather slippery when wet. There was a power cut during our stay, but this was outside the property's control.

• MARIA CHIARA (5/5): Il prezzo è troppo alto per il servizio che viene offerto - Sicuramente la posizione incantevole e i giardini molto curati La nostra camera era: umida, con muffa, sporca, sicuramente andrebbe rinfrescata e pulita meglio, telecomando della tv sporchissimo. Non abbiamo trovato l acqua in camera che generalmente la prima bottiglia è complimentary, WiFi scarso, la tv prendeva solo 1 canale. Il prezzo non giustifica i servizi offerti e la qualità della struttura. Personale gentilissimo alla colazione, colazione buona. Al check out, non mi è stato chiesto come è andato il soggiorno mi ha presentato il conto dell acqua e mi ha chiesto la mia prossima destinazione, senza chiedermi se avevo bisogno di aiuto con il bagaglio.

• Andrew (6/5): - It's a beautiful setting and the hotel does give a real boutique feel. Rooms are well appointed and breakfast is good! I have probably been to Franschhoek about 30 times, I absolutely love it and have stayed in numerous accommodations. I wouldn't stay here again though, its very expensive for what you get and the staff (especially the front desk staff) are not particular warm/friendly or helpful. Other small things which the hotel falls short on, like they give you one tiny towel shower each, they is no complementary still water to enjoy, the check in time is too late and the check out way too early and strictly enforced. Also the pool is very small and feels crowded if more than 2 people are in it. I would recommend other accommodation there is no shortage of options in Franschhoek.

• braamf2024 (10/5): A hidden gem on the edge of town - With all that is on offer in the Western Cape I didn’t expect to find this gem. “Guest cottages” are probably a better description than Guest House as the rooms are spread over the garden. The room I was allocated offered a flow from the entrance passing a spacious bathroom with a floated bath and walk-in shower, a creative kitchen and study combo, backing onto a large bed, and a step down into a lounge with a private verandah, which flows onto the lawn, overlooking a pond, and a scenic mountain in the background to finish the picture. Yes it's a mouthful, which describes my surprise to what I expected compared to what I got. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful. And the breakfast: exceptional. The only thing missing is a lunch and dinner service, which will be a good addition to finish a great package. I'll definitely be back.

The lodgings couldn't be more beautiful and spacious and the staff pleasant. One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited for sure!

Easy access to all main road. The unit was perfect. Super clean and comfortable. The gardens beautiful although it is winter! The breakfast was delicious! I think that the bathroom window in the shower can do with either a frosted window like you have on the bathroom interleading door or some kind of frosted glass.

• yle_rosso (10/5): Wonderful place! - Amazing location and an amazing hotel. We truly enjoyed our day at the lavender farm. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night, but we definitely hope to come back soon. The staff was super friendly and welcoming.

The attention to detail is exceptional, from the gorgeous pool area to small touches in the rooms that make it feel like a home away from home. The staff were all attentive, kind, and always happy to help. We got chatting to the owners, mother-and-son Tanya and Daniel, who were incredibly friendly. One moment reflects the care and hospitality you'll find here: When my mom mentioned how much she loved their bath salts, Tanya generously gave her a whole jar to take home for free. The location is the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience, as it feels like you're staying in your own private oasis but its close enough to town for easy access to restaurants and shops. It's also clean, the rooms have everything you need, and the breakfast was 10/10. Would highly recommend and will def come back again!
