Guest Reviews
- Michael (10/5): - Good breakfast
- Carol (8/5): - Our rooms were clean and comfortable, staff was friendly and beds were comfy.
- Rose (10/5): - The staff and crew are always so accommodating. Thank you for always giving us a safe place to stay when we’re home.
- Dale (6/5): - Room was clean. Restaurant is terrible more like a fast food , didn’t feel very clean.
- Bill (4/5): - Walls are paper thin and rooms are tired. For the price paid it was a zero experience.
- Dennis (8/5): - Much better than the reviews. Very good overall rating.
- Julie (8/5): - Food wasn’t good and toilet was as low as an elementary school but otherwise great room
- Soowan (8/5): - Wish they offer some fruits for breakfast
- Terry (8/5): - This is a very old hotel and not the typical Wyndham hotel we have been staying at. Room clean but lacking updates. Hallway carpet very worn. Would not book here again. Lack of decent restaurants except fast food.
- Saralee R (6/5): - The clerk who checked us in expressed amazement at what we were paying through Expedia and intimating their room rates were much lower. Had we paid less, our expectations would have been lower and we would have given them a higher rating…but we paid for a luxury hotel and this was just okay.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - This hotel was very clean and nice. The hotel staff was very helpful with recommendations for happenings locally.
- Rick (10/5): - It was good, shower coul use some deep cleaning and new caulk. We went online for the hotel restaurant, when we went there thwy did not have what online indicated. We did eat there, didn't want to drive anymore.
- Steve (10/5): - Nice room, comfortable beds, pillows were flat. Breakfast was great and the restaurant was very nice.
- Gary (10/5): - Great location. Staff at hotel, restaurant and bar were all very friendly. Room was clean and nice.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Clean...friendly staff
- Raghavendra (6/5): - noisy sound from AC
- Lorraine (6/5): - Housekeeping service is every other day unless requested for everyday. When i checked in, I requested clean towels for our 2nd day but did not get them. I went to the housekeeping laundryroom and asked again for them.
The breakfast was ok, but o
nly 1 person managing it, and the hotel was quite busy.
Hotel is attached to a casino, which is where the guests eat dinner.
- Joshua (6/5): Just book it. But... - You're reading this because you need a place to stay on the superior east side of Glacier & St. Mary's is booked. Great! Book it, you'll be fine. Despite the name, it's a Holiday Inn Express, just like any other, but...
Worst Holiday Inn Express ever? Bed is fine, room is fine, no issues there. But after that it's a comedy of errors.
* Shower. If you've had a slow leak at home, that's the water pressure you're going to get. That's not sarcasm. Expect the longest shower of your life just to get wet, let alone clean.
* Loud. You'll hear the weather forecast at 5am from the people getting up early next door. The Constant Fan setting on the A/C is your friend here.
* Breakfast is a disaster. Would be a typical hotel breakfast but they're out of everything and the juice machine doesn't work. Only upside, 2 belgian waffle irons! Otherwise, I hope you like bread. Not even yogurt or eggs.
* I know most hotels don't do daily service anymore without asking. But we did ask. Often. Finally got a clean on our last night and the towels were replaced with what looked like Goodwill outcasts. The towels we got from the front desk (often, see above) were normal towels.
* our key cards died every day. Had to get new ones nightly.
I have never written a bad hotel review before. And yet I'd go back only because it's 35m from the east entrance. Slept well, clean room, and that's it.
Pro tip: get 16" pizzas from Rising Sun by the park gate for some epic breakfast leftovers!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The ladies that checked us in were terrific. The accommodations adequate. Our TV was horrible. Settled in to watch the "big game" only to have our TV shut off about 2 dozen times! The breakfast offered was bad. Very few options and they were out of most things - butter, syrup, juices, etc. The mini frig was completely empty. Given how very few dining options there are in the vicinity, you would think they would do better.
- Darwin (6/5): - Was suppose to have a hot breakfast, instead was served just toast, bagels and cereal. I paid for the complete meal and having carbs for breskfast isn't for me. There response was only one person can work in kitchen and they didnt come in. They wouldn't even plug in the waffle iron as it wasn't her job.
- Keith (8/5): Decent hotel - Not much in the area, but staff was friendly. Had bar food at the casino next door, otherwise not much in the restaurant department in the area, but we were not here for gourmet food. WiFi worked well. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Fairly close to east entrances of Glacier and Waterton was about 2 hrs. away.
- Nachman (8/5): - Perfect if you are going to many glacier
- Gerald (10/5): - Nicely
- Nancy (10/5): - Breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly.
- Dian (10/5): - Very friendly staff, there is a food court and cafe that open until late even though they are connected to casino area, but very helpful for late supper. Pretty close to grocery, close to Kyiyo Bakery,
- maureen (6/5): - Location good. Room fair size, comfortable bed but pillows much too soft.
Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast very poor first of three day stay.
Did forget phone in room on leaving the hotel. Returned as realised missing and it had already been handed to security. Was very grateful to them.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room was quiet, spacious and clean. Breakfast had hot and cold options but not many choices. Shower curtain was a little short so it was hard not to splash water out of the shower stall.
- John J (10/5): - Property was nice and well maintained. The service was helpful and friendly. We would stay again.
- Micheal Jay (8/5): - Nice facility with adequate dining possibilities. Neighborhood outside of hotel facility in city felt unsafe.
- Richard (6/5): - Not worth the money paid for room. Have had better quality rooms for cheaper price . Room wasn't the cleanest. Staff was wonderful. Casino on property was decent. Did win a little.
- Eric (10/5): - Staff was really friendly. Food at the hotel was pretty good
- Olena (4/5): - The staff greeted us nicely. The room was clean. However, breakfast was cold and not ready on day one. Second day, there was no hot breakfast. The cook did not show up. No hot coffee, no breakfast, just some bagels and cold cereal. We specifically choose this hotel for breakfast knowing that the area has limited eating options. We also requested to have trash taken out of our room and extra towels. None happened. We had to go back to the lobby and request them again at the end of the day. It’s a bit sad since the hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. Just wish for a better service or at least some kind of compensation for the lack of breakfast since it was advertised as being included.
- Steven (4/5): - High price for mediocrity.
- Stanley (10/5): Love Glacier & Montana - 2 Night Stay to take in Glacier NP and surrounding MT area
- Heather (10/5): - Nice hotel staff is friendly great pool area
- Brigham (10/5): - This was pretty much the best place to stay in Browning. We were very pleased with the condition of the hotel and the cleanliness of the room. The hot tub was nice and hot which was a plus after some long hiking days. Not much to say about the breakfast. Pretty typical but they had ran out of a few things which was a bummer but they restocked after a day or 2. The drive to Glacier was pretty quick and easy. We would definitely start there again. Good price and not that far away from the park.
- Toni (10/5): - The staff are amazing
- Michael (8/5): - Available and room size was good
- anita (6/5): - WAY TOO MUCH MONEY! RIDICULOUS!
- Koji (8/5): - Place itself is quiet, but less option for outside dinning. Most of property are comfortable. Only issue was it took longer time to fulfill bath tab with hot water (shower was OK though) Breakfast was fairly good but no fruits are available. If breakfast could start from 6am instead 6:30am, it is better for early departure.
- Peter (8/5): - Stayed here while visiting Glacier National Park. It's about a 30-minute ride to the St. Mary entrance and 20 minutes to the Two Medicine area. Not a lot of places to eat in Browning, East Glacier (15-minute drive) had a good pizza food truck (Fire Pizza), sandwich food truck (Island Thyme), good mexican (Serranos), and a steak place (Summit Lodge).
The rooms were comfortable, but I did not venture over to the casino or the on-site restaurant.
- Ronald (8/5): Not again - We stayed a few days here as we visited Glacier Nat’l park all 3 days!! The room was ok but there were some issues that needed to be addressed!! We had to report a broken toilet seat and the toilet kept running after flushing!! They fixed the toilet seat but toilet still running when we checked out!! There was grout that needed some attention with mold!! The black out curtain looked like I could have torn it with my hands!! Overall it was ok, just not a fan of Briwning area!!
- Thomas (6/5): Nice hotel, inadequate service - Hotel was nice, as was breakfast. All nicely renovated. Too bad the room refresh is only every 3rd day.
- Haiming (10/5): - bed comfort
- Adam (10/5): - Very nice hotel. It was very clean and comfortable and it’s about a 30 minute drive to the east entrance of glacier
- Ivy (10/5): Great pool, breakfast and casino, friendly staff - The hotel was very nice, room was clean and comfortable. The view was lovely. The kids loved the pool. There was a nice complimentary breakfast. We enjoyed our stay a great deal. I also asked several staff members about where to visit in the surrounding area and they gave many wonderful recommendations of areas to visit I had not known about and that really enhanced our trip. We will definitely return to Glacier Peaks hotel on our next trip out there. We also enjoyed the casino.
- Ron (2/5): - Staff was extremely helpful in helping us cram into one room. we had paid expedia for two rooms.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Comfortable
- Dolores (8/5): Overall Review - We found the room clean, spacious and comfortably furnished. Breakfast area was also kept clean and breakfast was good and plentiful. COFFEE was available and fresh which is something we always look for. We had trouble with the wifi the first morning but after that it seemed to work without delay. The "pups" out front were friendly and added a bit of "home time" to the place.
- Julie (10/5): - Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was nice, but I could hear people talking in the next room. Breakfast in the lobby was great.
I wasn’t expecting a casino. The restaurant was informal, but the salad I ordered was good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient location - The hotel was decent and convenient to East Glacier. Shower water pressure wasn’t great, not super up-to-date.
- Lindsay (8/5): - Nice staff. Clean facilities. Not much around the surrounding area
- Bob (8/5): - good basic hotel
- Bikash (10/5): - Nice clean hotel. Casino on site, Limited food options
- LINDA (8/5): - It was comfortable
- Donald (10/5): - Comfortable stay
- Bodo (10/5): - The staff were friendly and helpful
- deven (4/5): - No breakfast options
poor staff service
unfriendly staff
no room service/towel service with 3days stay
- Elizabeth (8/5): Convenient and clean - Good location for access to St Mary entrance to Glacier National Park. Facility was clean and quiet. Hotel had a casino attached along with a coffee shop, and restaurant. We ate at the restaurant for the convenience and the food was tasty and well presented. Breakfast was complimentary and had a great variety. Internet was finicky, but did work most of the time. Surrounding area of Browning had the bare basics.
- Nick (8/5): Would stay again. - The hotel was great. So town around it not so much.
- Jeannie (10/5): - Good location close to Glacier National Park.
- Lilit (4/5): - Unfortunately we had to stay here as it was the most convenient location for us to enter Glacier National Park. After driving for several hours to get to Browning MT we arrived at the hotel. As we parked there were stray dogs all over the parking lot - which for guests who are afraid of dogs is a very nerve racking experience. The one hotel employee was nice and greeted us with a smile. The downside to the location of the hotel is that there is no restaurants nearby other than fast food. We walked to the nearest grocery store to be able to find something to eat. We barely got any sleep as it was noise early in the morning with other guests banging their doors and being very loud. The TV in the room was not working so I called downstairs and was told someone will be up to fix it and no one showed up. Overall if this is your only option it’s ok to stay here for 1 night hit come prepared with food and do not expect anything extravagant. The hotel needs an update in every aspect and they need more than one person working there. We definitely did not get our moneys worth.
- Cynthia (8/5): - Stayed here two years ago, the staff was great, 40 mins. from Glacier National Park. No breakfast on Sunday, casino opens at 9 am for breakfast or local gas stations were suggested. Monday hotel breakfast was great!
- Rhonda (10/5): - We rented the house - there were enough towels & washclothes for all 6 of us. The house was very clean and there was a washer & dryer where I was able to do my laundry that had accumulated over the past 9 days on the road. The desk clerk was very sweet and the check in took about 1 minute.
- Hunter (4/5): - We arrived at 10:40pm, the lobby was locked, just room key access only (no way to get into the lobby to check in, unbelievable!). I had to waive down another guest with a room key to let me into the lobby. The check-in clerk was preoccupied with something else and had problems focusing on the task at hand. One of the first things he told me was "I know we advertise Breakfast Included, but we have not served breakfast for a while and we give you a 20% coupon for a discount".
- Michael (6/5): Decent but far from Great - Hotel was a nice size, friendly staff. However, the AC was extremely loud, there was no housekeeping between nights, and there was zero outside seating (fire pit, rocking chairs, lounge chairs, ect) to enjoy the views and weather. The windows did not open inside the room, no balcony, so limited outdoor opportunities. They also did not offer the continental breakfast the 3 nights that we were there. I would not stay again but it was a decent hotel. Also, not much to do, see, or eat in browning itself.
- Joseph (6/5): - Checked in at 4, room wasn’t available until 6.
They said they were severely short staffed.
We should have been compensated for that monster delay.
- Regina (2/5): - I booked a room for the weekend and when i got there no rooms were available. I had nowhere to go with kids. They allowed me to pay for it and then not have rooms available
- Burt (2/5): - Nothing about property was liked and way over priced.
- Edna Bad Eagle (6/5): - cleanliness of the room and facility was great
the tv was not working, it took a couple of time for them to respond and fix
beds were a bit too firm - but the pillows were nice!!!!
- Amit (8/5): - Decent hotel at a location convenient to get to the East Entrance of Glacier NP
Check in took over an hour as rooms were not ready (due to the hotel being understaffed). Room was good but nothing outstanding, parking was convenient. Didn’t try their paid breakfast.
- Imre (4/5): - Overpriced for a motel 6 style hotel
- Kathryn (8/5): - We would stay here again if we were going to do this side of GNP. The staff was very helpful and kind.
- Glenn (10/5): - Very nice
- Petra (10/5): - Very nice place, excellent stuff, great meal!
- Curtis (10/5): - Very clean with friendly and helpful staff.
The surrounding area was pretty sketchy but not the motel’s fault. Great little diner attached.
- Priscilla (10/5): - I enjoyed the friendliness of the hotel staff. They made me feel right at home. I intend to come back next year to see the local rodeo. I will definitely recommend Glacier Peaks Hotel to others traveling to Browning who are looking for a convenient place to stay and have easy access to Glacier Park and other scenic areas.
- Sophia (8/5): - it is a good alternative to East glacier valley if you cannot find a decent hotel there.
- Sondra (10/5): - Wonderful!
- Jo (8/5): - The property itself was clean and front desk help was very pleasant but the two night stay was very noisy, loud music, people talking, laughing etc into the early morning hours. Also there is not much local to eat. Hotel casino had a restaurant but it was not much.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Cost was too much for the value received.
- Maria (6/5): - Old hotel and it's overpriced.
- Dena (10/5): - The staff was very friendly. The room was nice and clean. It was a quiet hotel.
- Christine K (8/5): - Location
The town was not clean, felt a bit unsafe.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Hospitality is unmatched, cystomer service is excellent. Everyone from front desk staff to restaurant is top notch.
- Claire (8/5): - Nice hotel with very friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place; could be better and would be super. - Nice hotel; friendly front staff. Overpriced but limited choices and closest option to GNP during low-season. Requested quiet room and there were few guests at the time, yet was put right beside another occupied room with the rest of the floor likely mostly empty. Could easily hear those guests come in very late, even just talking, laughing, playing TV; understandable to have noise in hotels with thin walls but, would have been more ideal and thoughtful to have guests set apart when there are lower volumes and the opportunity to do so. These small things will elevate one's experience. Room comfortable, otherwise. Easy access to main roads and grocery store down the street.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Solid accommodations. Room was clean and the bed comfortable.
- John (8/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful
- MARK (10/5): - Staff is very helpful!
- Jayarani (10/5): - Awesome
- Kenneth (8/5): - Nice stop after a long day in Glacier
- Yew Tong (2/5): Very poor - Room is dusty and made my wife’s throat iches. Room service did not happen when requested.
Very little food options.
Stray dogs roaming outside of hotel.
- Arlene (8/5): - The hotel was ok, but the town is basically boarded up.
- BRET (10/5): - The breakfast was delightful. Not too many dining options for dinner.
- Fairy (8/5): - Room was clean, decent size. Beds were comfortable. The hallways were wide. Parking was easy, and there were a lot of spots. Breakfast options were pretty good. We were there for 3 nights and our room was not cleaned once. Maybe they do it on request only. About a 38-minute drive to St. Mary visitor Center. The hotel also has a casino but we didn’t play. We did go there though as they have a restaurant there. There were a few stray dogs outside the hotel and they do come up to hotel guests when you go outside. They are friendly and harmless when we observed but caught us off-guard as one of them kept scratching our car door wanting to play with us and a few times they would approach guests and jump on them. My son is allergic to dogs so we had to quickly go to our car whenever we go outside the hotel. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay.
- Leslie (10/5): - Staff was amazing.
- Tom (8/5): - Hotel dining was limited considering it was a casino.
- Gin (4/5): - when checking in they said there was no reservation under our name and that they have been having problems with expedia. After we showed them our reservation # they seemed to have a spare room available, but it wasn't clean so we had to wait (this was 3:30pm)....we were able to get into our room around 6:30. The room was fine, but the experience not great, not sure where we would have gone as hotels/motels within a 40 mile radius were completely booked up. they are extremely unorganized and not concerned with any type of customer service. You're pretty much at their mercy, be sure and take your reservation information when you enter the doors!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Only downside was no sit down restaurant. The grill staff were very attentive to seeing that your order was completed. The out door area needs to be attended to, there was dog poop on the sidewalk for the duration of our stay
