- Charlotte (6/5): - They could not take my foreign Credit card (I successfully paid before and after at hotel in Shanghai) so I had to pay cash for my room. The room was not a non smoking room. After dinner they had used air cleaner so it was bearable, but people were smoking everywhere. Will only sty again because of the location and because there are no other good options

- sbaras2020 (8/5): Great hotel, but little things were overlooked. - Overall, the hotel and surrounding grounds are well-maintained. Room was clean; however, my problem stems from the foul odor (very strong in bathroom and moderate in sleeping area). Also, there was a surprise found in toilet upon my arrival, I feel the latter could have been avoided by a 2nd walkthrough.
- Hypermc (8/5): Comfortable rooms, a bit cold in winter - The hotel is situated well, not noisy with a lot of green areas around. Architecture is different from what you get at other hotels of this brand but very nice. Rooms are modern, spacious and well equipped. Abbit cold at the arrival in winter and it did not get better so much during the stay. Breakfast is average and I would skip it next time. Worth the money!

- farhannurkarim (10/5): Great place to stay - I stayed here twice last year, on May and July in 2018. I like the room becuase it gave a luxurious feeling, especially the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and thr lobby area was spacious with elegant decoration. One thing the most standout was the "all-you-can-eat seafood night". The selection was amazing and worth the price.
- Explorers36 (8/5): My preferred hotel in Jiaxing - Room is clean and spacious. The hotel is quiet. Grounds a very well kept and nice for a morning walk. Good selection of Chinese and Western options at the breakfast buffet. The downside is the layout of the hotel. Many rooms are quite far from the elevator. The hallways are not air conditioned and it gets quite hot in the summer time. I would recommend requesting a room close to the elevator.

- 689tanh (8/5): Doubletree Hilton stay - Room was clean and staff were very friendly. Breakfast choices were however limited. There was nothing within walkable distance from the hotel but taxi transport is convenient and relatively cheap so it is easy to get to places
- marycE4325PA (8/5): Best place to stay in Jiaxing. - Whenever I work in Jiaxing, I stay here. I think this is the best hotel in the city. With that being said, I think there is room for improvement with the breakfast buffet and staff. Normally the noodle bar at the breakfast buffet had your choice of noodles and veggies for you to put together a very healthy fresh bowl of noodles with minimal grease and a lot of flavor. This time around, there were no veggies to choose from and the server just gave you a greasy oily bowl of noodles. You could put additional oily condiments but there were no vegetables at all. I loved this dish. I also had to hunt down servers to order coffee and request some bottled water. Overall I would still stay here, the location is great, rooms great, a good value.

- PSV74 (6/5): Good hotel but found lacking.. - My husband and I stayed here recently for 3 nights; he was traveling for work and I tagged along. All of the staff we interacted with were very pleasant and gracious. We used taxis to get around, and didn’t have any trouble with asking the front desk staff for help. The hotel itself is nice, with lots of natural light flooding into the main lobby. The pool is awesome and the gym is decent. Note that you have to wear a swim cap in the pool, and you’ll have to buy one if you don’t have one with you. Please make sure you have google translate if you don’t speak Chinese! While I certainly don’t expect everyone to be fluent in English, I thought that at the least, a few people at the major areas of the hotel would speak enough so that we could communicate. I believe we were able to find two individuals, both at the check in desk. The food at the breakfast.. goodness, this goes back to the fact that no one speaks English. We are both vegan, and do not expect to come to China with a plant-based welcome wagon waiting for us, but because no one could understand us and we had to use google translate to communicate, we essentially had fruit for breakfast all 4 days. Not a dealbreaker, but if you have dietary restrictions, I would think twice about staying here. The other thing is they control the A/C units from night till morning, which means in the summer it is ridiculously hot and gross in the room. The air gets stale and it’s impossible to sleep. We asked them about it but didn’t really get anywhere. All in all, I don’t think we would come back here; not because the people aren’t friendly or the hotel rooms were bad, but only because it didn’t fit our lifestyle or dietary restrictions.
- angeltradesfx (8/5): Good but lacking - Check-in desk needs a better attitude with guest upon check-in. I didn't even get a hello and then I was barraged with a list of "if you do this, we'll charge you this". It felt like they have run into so many issues they were trying to get ahead of them. But then you end up ruining the experience of the person checking in. Upon check-in I told them I read many online complaints about the heating/cooling system and that I wanted to ensure I wouldn't have these issues. They told me that they control the temperature of 23-25 degrees Celsius because the outside weather can change, which I thought was ridiculous. I said I wanted to be able to lower it between 19-20. His reply, I can call later and pick a degree, but no ranges. This is ridiculous and the fact that so many people have complained about it and it's still happening is even more ridiculous. Eventually, we called maintenance. He pointed the thermometer at the floor and said "it's already 20 degrees in here" even though the unit clearly says 24. I said I don't sleep on the floor. He said the A/C temperatures are actually inaccurate and used the floor temperature. Of course quartz floors are cold, its stone! That night, my wife and children all woke up sweating, we couldn't even fall asleep it felt hot. Finally, the next day it was fixed and it was lowered. Completely ruined our first night especially since I had asked for this problem to be fixed ahead of time. Room amenities: I hate little packs of instant coffee. Shocked didn't have a coffee maker in the room. Food and Beverage: We arrived at the buffet early and continuously things were going empty. It was also much more geared towards Chinese buffet. It wasn't a true variation of food like I've seen at the many other buffets in China. At one point the food was so low there were dishes I wanted to eat but only a piece of bone left on the hot plate.Literally, hanging ducks above the roasted duck hotplate, but inside was a piece of skin attached to bone. With a lady standing next to it, she wouldn't cut it up and put more. Finally, when the manager asked me how the buffet was I explained this all to him. He immediately went and scolded the chefs. Then they finally put food out and kept all of the dishes stocked. Saving money but lowering the quality is a tested means for failure.

- Yellotail (6/5): Serious A/C issues! - They Turned off the a/c in the middle of the night EVERY night! We came from the US. 12 time zones away and to have no a/c from 2-6 AM ruined our sleep. There was no way to turn it back on. Ridiculous.

- Wireloose (10/5): Upscale Doubletree in park setting - Hotel was a pleasant surprise- nothing against Doubletree but surprised this isnt branded as Hilton or even Conrad. Surrounded by a large park, ideal for joggers; a bit out of the center but 2 restaurants were fine, executive lounge is good. Upgraded to huge suite (Iim Honors Diamond) which was very nice, quiet. Staff helpful, polite, spoke good English. Layout and setting typical of the State Guest Houses, otherwise a Hilton product (to me this is a good combination). It is a 30-60 minute ride from the high speed train depending on time of day- we just took a car from Shanghai as easier than taxi-train-taxi (under 90 minutes from Hongqiao area)
- franktified (8/5): A Jewel in Jiaxing - I was very impressed by the entrance and lobby as soon and knew I was going to enjoy my stay... I had the journey from hell getting here, the train system was shut down due to weather so I had to take a bus, unfortunately I speak no Chinese and the bus dropped me off a bus stop outside the city. Luckily I flagged down a taxi showed a picture of the hotel and he recognized it and brought me straight there... Arriving late I missed the Executive Lounge nightly offerings, the staff member seen my disappointment and went into the back and brought me out two plate of Hors d’oeuvres and a tall glass of wine ( this is what GREAT customer service looks like )... from the moment I arrived at the hotel from the lobby to the bell man helping to my room to my experience at the Executive Lounge I was well taken care of and felt very valued... One of the best staffs I have come across in all my travels... The room was huge and very comfortable. The hotel has 3 restaurants, where I ate (Open) the food was delicious. The hotel’s only short coming was they didn’t have a spa area, I working out and have a nice steam/sauna after a day of work. But all the good out weighs the lack of a Spa. I will definitely return to the Doubletree Jiaxing when I am back in the area...
- davidbK3069OK (8/5): Business in Jia Xing - Hotel is wonderful overall. Staff is very professional and friendly. Resturant(s) are quite good and have good menu selections. The laundry price is quite high I think. The only negative for the property is its general location related to the city. It is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants, but you have to like to walk as its a fair distance away from any amenities.
- 72joey (8/5): Very good hotel and brand - Stayed here for a business trip and found the place to be very good. Would recommend if you need a hotel in Jiaxing. Excellent buffet for breakfast, big hotel with multiple towers. As usual grand style and big entry.
- NG (6/5): Disappointing Service - I’ve booked for 1 room 3 pax including my kid. But breakfast is only for 2. I can’t understand why then I informed the number of pax during booking. Paid for kid’s breakfast but the staffs at the coffee house was more interested in collecting the breakfast charges. Staff didn’t even bother to get us a place to sit. By 0900 breakfast almost all gone. Refill was slow. End up nothing much to eat.

- Simon (10/5): Good hotel near the ancient water village - Primarily a conference / MICE hotel it would seem, it is also very close (300m) to the ancient water village. The rooms were very spacious and well equipped for the price and all have a lake view I think. Check in was easy (even for a non-Chinese speaker) as the front desk staff speak good English. Little English was spoken in the main restaurant, but ordering by iPad was a) modern and b) made this painless. Food was excellent and arrived quickly. My only regret was that the hotel seems to have no bar / lounge to relax in at the end of the day, which is odd. Very good "art shop" in the foyer with good stuff at reasonable prices.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Quiet Hotel, need improvement on Customer Service - We booked 2 rooms through Expedia and requested to be at the same floor from the beginning of our booking , even though it's low season with a lots of empty rooms, staff said it's not possible as we booked through Expedia. My friend and I were at different floor, as well as the end of each side of the building, very inconvenience for us. Started to wonder... if this really a 4 stars hotel... It's low season, when we dined at the restaurant we nearly had the whole restaurant to ourselves, but it's also in the cold season, heating system in public area and restaurant are bad, it's freezing even you're indoors.

Very good impression overall. It would be nice to have Cappuccino or Latte included in the breakfast buffet, not just plain coffee.
- Jeff Wu (10/5): The Best In Jiaxing - Other than the standards by its name, which is superb, compared to other local competitors, it has separate the smoking room and non-smoking room well and it gave me a sense of hallucination that I was in the states.
- Jeff Wu (10/5): Best in town - I have to admit that I haven't been to Hilton's families a lot, but this place is absolutely the best in this small town. Just built in last year, the lawn was perfect, the food is way above standards, and the atmosphere remind me a little of the States. Probably is the only place I felt relaxing during my business trip. The best thing is that the price was approachable.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful new hotel in Jiaxing - nice atmoshere - We were very surprised to discover this very new, modern and beautiful hotel built in a park-like setting next to the canal in Jiaxing. 5 minute taxi or 15 minute walk to the "Mall". Not too far from the center. Coming from Shanghai -- it felt like an escape to the country. Breakfast was elaborate but very focused on Chinese style breakfast -- there was yogurt, fruit and pastry but mostly the hot breakfast was Chinese selections. Coffee was excellent. Overall a pleasant experience. It is right in the city but a little far from the main tourist areas (Moon River, etc.) but it is easy to get around Jiaxing and it is nice to stay in such a beautiful setting. The hotel is new and feels like a country club or rural resort.
- Visiting from Denmark (8/5): Fab staff, comfortable room & attention to detail - DoubleTree by Hilton in Jaixing was an unexpected surprise. The staff were the biggest asset. All were very helpful and attentive. I stayed in two room types as I extended my stay by a day- and both rooms were very spacious and had large bathrooms, and comfortable beds. The Executive room had the added benefits of a generous afternoon happy hour with free snacks and drinks. The executive lounge on the 5th floor was a place to relax and also use amenities. However I feel the lounge could provide more snacks and not only basic coffee from a machine that should make latte, cappuccino etc. My excutive room was basically the same as the room I stayed in a couple fo days before. Only a little larger with basically the same amenities in the room. So the pluses are the executive lounge and the happy hour. The hotel has an impressive foyeur with a spectacular display of fountains in the evening- and it adds to the warmth and the experience. The buffet is impressive with a wide range of both western and Chinese foods. Highly recommendable. A down side of my executive room had bad ventilation and a bad drainage smell. The staff worked on correcting this the following day. Generally a highly recommendable stay not far from Wu Zhen watercity- so you can easily take a taxi to Wu Zhen if thats your primary reason for the visit.
- Joe S. (10/5): Perfect Hotel, aand i never say that - Great location, just opened so it was in great condition. The buffet breakfast was excellent as was evrything about the hotel including the service. I only stay in 4 and 5 star Hotels in China and this fit the bill perfectly.
