They took initiative in reaching out and checking in that everything's good. They even made a cupcake for breakfast that was such a sweet surprise! The room I stayed in was neat and tidy, and included a mini fridge with a complimentary water bottle, and a chocolate on the bedside table (very nice touches)! Travellers who transit to and from the accommodation should be aware that there is quite a bit of a walk from and to the bus stop.

Delicious muffins were delivered every morning followed by a text of “is there anything we can do to make your trip better today”. The owners are literally incredible. The B and B has a scenic setting with trails, bikes, paddle boards, canoes and kayaks. This was a real home run pick on our trip. Thank you Dieter and Paphada, you two are truly fantastic at hospitality. It’s not a great idea to swim in the water on the property.

Fine to spend a night if you don’t care about aesthetics but certainly not a place I would have a romantic evening. I had ant visitors and had to get up to swat a mosquito buzzing around my face. I could hear the people upstairs walking. Not worth the money for me — should’ve stayed closer to restaurants, etc. I imagine the other rooms are much nicer? The property itself is very pretty.

It's an easy drive to shopping and services, and not very far (20-30 minutes) to downtown Victoria. The hosts are kind, responsive and well-organized. The kitchenette suites are perfect for self catering.

It's tiny room with like 3 channels on TV. There's no walk along the water at this location, nothing to do.

The location is perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the kayaking. The host provides kayaks for guests to use, and exploring the shoreline from the water was so much fun! It's a great way to take in the beauty of the area from a different perspective. Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a solo retreat, or an adventure with friends, this BNB ticks all the boxes. The tranquil setting, amazing views, and kayaking opportunities make for an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back!

Easy parking - host left message saying you are welcome to use bikes/paddle boards/kayaks available on site if you wish. You need a car to access down town Victoria from here. Our room - Room 4 - is probably the smallest in the property- was fine for an overnight stay. We woke up to freshly made muffins on the Sunday morning (a gift) which was a lovely surprise.

Best place to stay in the Victoria - We spent a wonderful six days at Birds of a Feather with out two teenage grandchildren.We all loved it. We did early morning and sunset walks on the near by beach. I'm avavid sea kayaker and enjoy staying here right on the water with an outside shower for me to rinse my gear after paddling. The breakfasts were superb!! Dieter and Paphada were exceptional host.

The owners were very welcoming and accommodating, and we greatly appreciated being able to use their kayaks for an early morning paddle. To top it off we saw multiple bald eagles and herons to our delight. The suite itself seemed brand new or recently updated, and our kids loved sleeping up in the loft. We can’t recommend this place enough! One last thoughtful touch… the owners baked fresh muffins and delivered them to our suite the morning we departed! :)

Plus, they had offered us freshly backed muffins complimentary. Last but not the least the property is located in a beautiful area, with a personal patio and dock, which has a kayak, a boat, a peddle board, and bicycles added as amenities! Sitting on the patio sofas and sipping wine and cheese would be ideal, if time allows.

At first I thought it might be too out of the way, but I was certainly mistaken and thankful I chose Birds of A Feather for our two day stay in Victoria. • Bill (9/5): Superb - The king bed was comfy and warm. The room was comfortable. Everything worked. The view was nice. It was quiet. The controls for the shower were a bit clunky and unusual. This does not rise to the level of a complaint. It still worked. Nice rain shower.
• Darren (10/5): - The B&B is built right on the waters of the Esquimalt lagoon. I captured some of the most beautiful sunrises on camera. Large beautiful natural parks you can walk too or drive within minutes. If nature is your thing this is your place. The hosts are some of the most wonderful and personable people I have met. Fresh amazingly good muffins everyday. If you are looking for a safe, quiet place to relax or contemplate life, here it is. The rooms are so well kept, comfortable and beautifully designed. I will recommend this place over and over.
