Además, pudimos descansar plácidamente durante nuestra estadía. - La ubicación del hotel es muy buena, estando en una de las zonas más seguras y tranquilas de Quito. - El personal de recepción fue muy amable y nos ayudó con todo lo que necesitamos durante nuestra estancia. Si vas en automóvil, es importante que sepas que el espacio de parqueadero es reducido dentro del hotel. Si bien hay una bahía de parqueo a tan sólo unos metros y esta zona de la ciudad es muy segura (se pueden dejan los carros estacionados afuera y no ocurre nada), es algo a tener en cuenta.

La segunda habitación estuvo mejor, la cama cómoda, limpia la ropa de cama y abrigada, el baño limpio y sus toallas limpias. El desayuno bien hecho con productos frescos y realizado ese momento. La zona segura. La primera habitación que me asignaron esta con las paredes con humedad, la terraza de igual manera, se nota en general que es una construcción que ya tiene muchos años, pero que han tratado de mantenerla de la mejor manera. Solicité otra habitación y muy gentil y amablemente me asignaron otra habitación y ya no tenia paredes húmedas.

The beds were comfortable, although upgraded linen and towels would be a great improvement. Shops and restaurants were available at the bottom of the hill, and there is a great art museum at the top. A simple breakfast was cooked fresh each morning. It’s near the top of a very steep hill, quite difficult to climb in the altitude. There are not really any shops or restaurants in the immediate area so you must descend the hill. Fortunately ride share is extremely cheap in Quito.

- dorothea57 (10/5): A comfortable, reasonably-priced hotel in a lovely setting, convenient for seeing Quito - I really enjoyed my stay at the Bella Vista in Quito. It is located north of the Centro Historico and in the hills, quiet and tranquil. The surrounding neighborhood is upscale and safe, and there are very good restaurants (De la Llama, Somos Ecuador) nearby, as well as luxury shopping centers, Parque Carolina, and another beautiful nature reserve up the hill (about fifteen minutes' walk). My room, which was one the smallest (for a single person), was comfortably-sized with a large bathroom and a lovely view. I paid a fraction of what I would have at an American hotel, and a breakfast with eggs, croissant, juice and coffee was included. There was no choice for the breakfast, but I found it satisfying (and the coffee was especially good). The hotel is located up a challenging hill from the nearest subway stop and the commercial area, so I ended up taking a taxi or Uber when returning, but it was less than $2 each time. This is an Ecuadorian hotel, so little (if any) English is spoken, but the staff is accommodating, and it is very safe; one rings the bell at the gate to enter or exit, and there is someone there 24/7. The Guayasamin Museum (just up the hill) is well worth the walk, very beautiful and interesting.
