Ragan (10/5): One night getaway to celebrate our anniversary. - I love the older homes around New Bern and this one was especially nice. The furnishings and size of our room was perfect. Ms. Linda was welcoming and showed her love for her home and New Bern in many ways. Breakfast was delicious and we felt so spoiled by the servers. Would definitely come again. Darrell (10/5): Wonderful experience - Our stay at Meadows Inn was the best! The breakfast each morning was amazing, everything was very clean, the mattress and sheets were so comfortable. Linda, the Inn keeper, was so nice and accommodating beyond measure. We felt as if we went on vacation with a dear friend. She had a wealth of knowledge about New Bern and pointed us in the right direction for dinner ideas and how to spend our time in New Bern. I hope we can go back and visit Linda and the Meadows Inn in the future.
Rendon (10/5): A cozy, restorative stay - I came to New Bern for an event at the convention center and walked there and to many attractions around town. Everything about Meadows Inn was profoundly welcoming -- especially the introduction and the breakfasts! I didn't like leaving. (And Linda even made checkout delightful.) Laurel (10/5): Exceptional hospitality in the heart of town.” - The proprietor, Susan, was exceptional. She graciously allowed me to check in a bit early so I could conduct business via Teams. Early the next morning, at 5:30 a.m., I accidentally locked my keys in the car — and Susan immediately found a 24/7 locksmith who arrived within the hour and solved the problem. Her resourcefulness and kindness made all the difference. The inn offers wonderful baked goods available at all hours, and my room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The location couldn’t be better — just a few blocks from the waterfront in one direction and the historic downtown restaurants in the other. A perfect stay from start to finish. Nothing.

The breakfast was amazing as well as the afternoon treats. There’s all types of beverages available and a screened in porch to enjoy them on. The bed was very comfortable and let us rest after a long day of walking. The location is within walking distance to downtown with lots of shops and restaurants. We’ll definitely be returning!

It is in the historical area, a hop and a skip from the river front and within walking distance from everything we wanted to do and see. If you are lucky enough to stay at the Meadows Inn, you can expect to be treated to Linda's freshly baked goodies during the day as well as having access to tea, coffee, and more any time of the day. From the moment you step onto the quintessential, southern back porch, perfect for lounging and reading, you feel at home. When you walk through the door and are met by Linda, you know you're home. She treats her guests like family. The breakfasts are delicious, not to mention the scrumptious, daily, fresh baked treats that are available in the dining room throughout the day. The rooms are beautifully furnished, with comfy beds that just beckon sweet dreams at the end of the day. The location rounds out the complete package - close to the river for morning sunrise walks or fishing from the pier and near to historic homes, buildings, churches, and shops. We won't stay anywhere else when in New Bern! There wasn't anything that we didn't like!

On our departure day I told Linda the innkeeper we would be leaving early before breakfast she made us a sit down breakfast early before we left. I also heard here talking to other guests that had to leave and she prepared the guests with a togo breakfast. Linda went above and beyond.
C. (10/5): - Linda was very helpful and accommodating. Would be nice to have a place to recycle plastic water bottles, etc. Very comfortable and relaxing!

She is attentive and considerate, from ensuring that she includes plant based options as part of the delicious gourmet breakfasts she served to providing complimentary soft drinks (and wine) and snacks for her weary travelers who need to rest and rehydrate. The rooms and grounds of this 178 year old home are kept beautifully maintained and clean. The rooms are comfortable and pretty. We really enjoyed our stay!
Jewel (10/5): A breath of fresh air! - Ideal location, everything within walking distance. Beautifully decorated. Comfortable and quiet. Nice patio in the back to sit. Parking was great. Food was great. The owner and staff were friendly, helpful and very nice to us during our stay. I can’t think of a thing we didn’t like.

Sharon (10/5): Just what a Bed and Breakfast should be! - The Innkeeper, Linda, was there to greet me and was warm and helpful. The three breakfasts during my stay were wonderful- pancakes, an omelette, and French toast, all with a lovely starter, fresh brewed coffee, choice of juice and garnished with fresh fruit. There were always home baked cookies or brownies available. The room was comfortable, lovely and clean. I slept well and had a wonderful stay!
Elizabeth (10/5): Really, really winderful. - Room was lovely, very clean, and super comfortable. Great bed, great bathroom/shower, fabulous breakfasts. Would consider myself fortunate to plan another trip to New Bern and book this room again. Perfectly good for a person with some mobility issues (note—I think a few stairs are at both entrances), although I’d prefer a slightly higher toilet. But that’s a pretty small issue in the face of a lovely, wonderful stay with great coffee and lovely, delicious breakfasts, not to mention warm and helpful hosts.

There was always an assortment of beverages and sweets. Each morning, we were served a hot breakfast, which was amazing. Everything was perfect!!

Very quiet during the evening/night ... no street noise. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Guests have access to a common refrigerator and microwave. Plenty of common areas to relax during the day/evening. No improvements that I can think of!
Courtney (10/5): When we go back to New Bern, we will definitely stay at the Meadow's Inn B&B. - Our stay at Meadow's Inn B&B was very comfortable and convenient. It was in a great location, convenient to the small downtown with many restaurants and shops. Linda the owner was very friendly, helpful, and made delicious breakfasts. Our bathroom was recently updated and our bedroom was very comfortable and nicely decorated.

Randall (10/5): The very best B&B. - I am hard-pressed to think of anything that I would improve. Of all the Airbnb‘s and B&Bs that we have stayed in over the years, my wife, and I agree that this has been our very favorite. Linda and her staff were wonderful, the food was excellent, the afternoon warm brownies and cookies were scrumptious. I don’t know where they got their sheets, but they were the most comfortable sheets I’ve ever slept in. The location was ideal, walk to the river, walk to shopping and restaurants, walk to the Tryon Palace, walk everywhere! The fact that we had to leave after only four nights.

Miss Linda was amazing from her greeting, hospitality to us leaving. Everything was perfect. Close to all amenities was the perfect stay no negatives whatsoever ever. Miss Linda does a mean breakfast and her cupcakes and cookies are to die for. Thanks for the stay would stay again in a heart beat. No negatives what so ever, even the Acorn Squash.
