Guest Reviews
- Clarence (8/5): - Clean room
- Calvin (8/5): - Na
- Cardine (10/5): - My stay there was short but the experience was good
The place was very much quiet and secured which i loved. The room was very clean and cozy. The service there was excellent, and taxi was also provided for me to get to places i needed to go. đŻ
- Cherie-Ann (10/5): - Home away from home is how I describe it. Beautiful traditional interior. Room was clean and not musty and quiet. Had a desk and chair which are not guaranteed for inns. Towels were scented. Snacks, coffee and tea available all day. And close to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.
- Rahidkhan Al-Latief (8/5): - Very good for a short stay when in transit. It's 5 minutes from the airport. Very cozy and relaxing.
- Judy (8/5): - Stayed just one night..was perfect for me..Friendly cordial staff..
Would definitely return..
- DAVID (10/5): - Owner is very welcoming and helpful.
- Brooke (8/5): - This place is less than five minutes drive from the airport. The owners were kind and helpful. The room was basic, but fine. The pool area is lovely.
- Sharon (8/5): - I've no complaints, the trip was successful, the accommodation were great.
Thank you for your service!
- RANJITH (10/5): - It was a great experience with airport inn,
Ms.sita is very very helpful .clean and good ambiance.
- Jonathan (10/5): Oasis Near Piarco - An oasis near the airport to give a weary traveller a place to get some rest before a late night flight. Early check-in was a very welcome opportunity.
- Simon (10/5): - Excellent location, safe, convenient, clean, great food, shops nearby
- Cindy (8/5): - Itâs proximity to the air
- Dev (10/5): - Everything was very nice
- John (8/5): - Excellent location
- Dexter (8/5): - The host was very pleasant. I like the clean and spacious living areas. The room that I stayed in was just good enough for me. since I do not spend the whole day in it. However, it should have had a microwave in for me to warm my food.
- Rubie (10/5): - This is my second time staying at the Airport Inn and both times the host was very welcoming and always made us feel included.
- Mario Edgardo Cotto (10/5): - Perfecto
- Russell (8/5): - Great location good bang for your buck
- Maria (10/5): - Sita, the owner, is a wonderful person and made us feel like a part of her family! Our two weeks there felt like a second home, and we loved every moment staying there! Rooms were huge, pool was great, and coffee was fantastic! Highly recommend Airport Inn!
- Nigel (8/5): - The location was very convenient. Nice property. Great host.
- Javon (10/5): - Very clean and modern
- Roopa (6/5): - This property suited our needs of being right next to the airport and we just used it to spend 2 nights and 1 day while being away most of the day.
We landed after 10pm, and when we got to the room, the AC did not work and they had to call the repair guy. They were fixing it till 1am and we couldn't rest until then.
The breakfast next morning was abysmally poor and they cleaned everything away very promptly without some extra time.
It is an ok place if you want to be really close to the airport.
- Jannel (8/5): - Cosy and homey. Safe and clean. Close to shops, mall, airport and restaurants.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - My stay was OK for an overnite. It would have been comforting if a microwave was available in the room. Overall everything was ok
- KENRICK (8/5): - Very quite and not too far away from the highway.
A micro wave in the room would be a plus seeing you have to provide your own lunch.
- Triphinia (8/5): - safe location, friendly and helpful staff.
- Davika (2/5): - You can not use the facility as you like. Very limited access to amenities. Very little privacy.
- Stephen (6/5): - The property was well kept. The room was okay but the bed not too comfortable. Linen had a musty smell. Breakfast was served but you basically had to make your own coffee. There was no air conditioning in the dining room so it was very hot. The service overall was poor.
- Tamairo (4/5): - We were extremely hot during check in. There was no air conditioning in the main area so we stood there sweating like hogs! She took long checking us in. So it was an inconvenience being hot just standing there. So I decided to stand outside instead. The room was ok, but she had both the air conditioning turned off as well as the fridge. So we had to wait for both to cool off. This was unacceptable and inconvenient for us. The bed linen had an odor and doesn't smell fresh. The bathroom walls were dirty and the towels were old and dingy looking. There's too many stairs for me. That's another inconvenience. We didnât really feel too welcome unfortunately.
- Myrna (8/5): - I really appreciate the owner/manger of the property arranging transportation to and from the airport for me which helped me to feel safe that I would not be getting into a random taxi not knowing exactly where I was going. The area was convenient in relation to distance from the airport seeing I had a pretty early flight the next day. Unfortunately I didnât have the opportunity to view the property and room in the light of day. However, the room was very clean and had reasonable amenities, iron and ironing board were in the cupboard which I was very happy to use. I especially liked the lamps which had USB and power outlet options for charging devices. Additionally, the lamp came on, brightened or turned off with just a touch. The AC kept the room cool and the hot water was refreshing. I also liked that there was a full length mirror on the wardrobe and a spacious counter in the bathroom for applying my makeup. Seeing I arrived late and left early I really appreciated the bottled water that was left in the room for me. I am a bit of a scaredy-cat so I would have felt more comfortable if there was a deadbolt or safety latch for me to secure my room door from within. Owner manger was fairly friendly and helpful. I have no issues recommending the property to others or utilizing it in the future if I have other layover flights.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Helpful staff and convenent location for the airport. Pleasantly surprised to find breakfast was included in the rate.
- Keshab (2/5): - False advertising, and exuberant price, you get far more better hotels in the same price near to Piarco international airport, No airport shuttle.
- Reuel (6/5): - Its a quiet place to rest whilst waiting for your flight
- Reuel (8/5): - it was a quiet and safe stay
- Kirk (2/5): - I had a horrible experience first of all sheâs doing false advertisement on breakfast online but when you get there itâs complementary breakfast online you got a full breakfast some eggs, juice, bacon biscuits but when you actually get to the place, is she only offered you cupcakes and coffee talking about thatâs complementary to meet us for advertisement she shouldâve took that down if thatâs the way she was the route she wanted to go when I looked online she also put time limits on when you can go out and come in. Did not give you a key to go to the front door. You will have to call her every time you want to leave and come in and every little thing you did in that house sheâs watching like a hawk thank you a little kid, I did not appreciate that. I was on vacation trying to enjoy myself she would never get my business again.
- Rubie (10/5): - The owner was incredibly nice and was very helpful when we needed extra assistance.
- Damei (8/5): - Ms. Singh is a very nice lady. The place is quiet, conveniently located near the airport, KFC and a shopping strip. Ms. Singh is constantly making sure the place is clean and well taken care of.
- climber_in_CH (8/5): Perfect spot for a layover - Connections from Trinidad are not always convenient so this place, near Piarco Airport really fit the need. If you call after clearing customs, they can send a car for $10 (in March '23) for the 1.25 miles to the Inn. I found a clean, basic room with ensuite bathroom. Hostess Sita was away so her sister "Maud' was filling in and gave me a warm welcome around midnight. Breakfast was a bit disappointing; yougurt, muffins, an apple & coffee. No hard boiled egg, cheese or meat. But the poolside location was very pleasant. The swimming pool was lovely but I wonder how many guests are able to take advantage of that?
I went back to the airport the next day for my onward connection and learned that Maud's husband Derek is a driver. The same $10 got me there, but it was more valuable to learn of this transportation resource for my eventual return; it seems I was often at the mercy of unscrupulous taxi drivers intent on overcharging. I would call the Inn on my return for a fair price from Derek.
- David (8/5): - Clean, functional and close to the airport. Hostess was friendly and transportation was very much appreciated. Breakfast could have offered more variety.
- makini (10/5): - A simple inn with a very warm host. The premises were clean and tidy. The pool area was relaxing and cool and allowed for quiet and relaxing afternoons. Would highly recommended if youâre interested in great personal service and a home like experience.
- Andre (10/5): - This property was the ideal location for my short stay in Trinidad. It is very close to the airport (5 mins), the staff were all very kind and professional, and the eating and sleeping area was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you!
- Laknle (10/5): - nice area close to airport owner friendly
- Crystal (10/5): - A beautiful comfy house
- Disharick (8/5): Comfortable Stay - My stay was comfortable and I enjoyed the pool area. The staff was very helpful with everything including helping with transport and even allowing me to add in my friend who missed a flight. My shower didnât get very warm but overall a very pleasant stay I would stay here again in the future.
- Carrie (8/5): - Easy and affordable for a quick overview near the airport
- Linden (10/5): - I spent a brief layover on New Yearâs Eve and it was a very rewarding experience. My wife and children were very happy with the cleanliness and homey feeling of the facility. Breakfast was well done and on time. The host was very accommodating and cordial. Iâd definitely recommend this facility.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Loud noises at night - The breakfast was not good and lot of loud sing throughout night in neighborhood
- Lisa (6/5): - House manager is to noise and the rule of not allowing guests overnight is really stupid.
- Kevin (2/5): - I have been trying to cancel my reservation and couldnât . I wasnât going to be able to go to Trinidad without my passport.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - One night. Very professional manager. A comfortable stay.
- Denroy (8/5): - Nice home property, very well kept and clean.
- Patricia (4/5): - A minimal and awful breakfast with no choice given. One hotdog, scrambled egg, and two small slices of cheese. One guest asked for fried eggs and got an omelette. Toast and soggy cereal were available One guest ask for more orange and was told there wasnât any. After breakfast we were expected to drink filter coffee made in the morning throughout the day and heat in the microwave; which kept blowing so no hot coffee. We walked to shops to buy food and drink as breakfast wasnât filling or sustaining Beds and towels werenât changed for the 4 day visit. we had to keep pool towels. The host booked our return taxi which was family run the vehicle wasnât big enough for 4 people 4 suitcases 4 hand luggage and handbags a very squashed uncomfortable ride.
- Augustin (4/5): - Would not book this inn again had to take taxi to inn power went off for several hrs room was hot
- David (6/5): OK place to spend a night, no major complaints. - Positives: close to airport, pleasant hostess, everything was clean, breakfast was made-to-order and good.
- haroon (8/5): Good for Transit - Very close to airport. Hotel can arrange pick and drop to the airport for $20 round trip. I chose this hotel as I was transiting from TT and had to spend like 12 hours in it.
Cons include that there is no close by food areas and I was not sure about transportation or food delivery.
- Maurice (6/5): - Clean and comfortable. Room a bit small for a double room.
Advertised that shuttle would be provided, however we had to pay for the shuttle.
- gilberto (8/5): - Location
- Darlene (10/5): - Very homey. Located in a residential neighborhood 6min from the airport. 24h gas station convenience store 10min walk away. Street food trucks around there too. Sushi on the premises.
Owner is very warm and friendly and accommodating.
Note the complimentary airprt shuttle has been discontinued which was my only disappointment.
- Nicole Philicia (8/5): - The property is very clean. Sita ia extremely pleasant and friendly. Always willing to assist. The daily breakfast was good
- Joel (8/5): - I liked the closeness of the property tobthe airport.
- John (8/5): - Friendly
- Bernadette (6/5): - Itâs okay for overnighting.
- Jeanne (10/5): - Intimate yet spacious layout. Family feel to it. Well manicured exterior. I kept remarking how exceptionlly clean the place is. Rooms, floors, walls, counters, pool areas, pool impeccably clean. Owner is kind, professional, attentive, gracious. I will return; and I plan to rent the pool area for a small group of friends...area can accommodate more, but COVID restrictions still in effect in Trinidad and Tobago. I highly recommend this inn.
- Keon (10/5): - Gave me that home feeling
- rogert671 (6/5): Low Cost Stay in Trinidad - This is a big house with several bedrooms which the owner rents out. She provides a light continental breakfast. Rooms are clean with private bathrooms in each. I have stayed there a few times because of the central location.
- Flyboy180 (8/5): Nice stay - Close to airport, clean rooms, and welcoming host (Sita). Breakfast was basic but good. Convenient for a flight that arrives late to avoid a drive, or an early morning departure. Prompt pick up and drop off at airport. Safe facility with gate. Would stay here again.
- StephanLutz (8/5): Wonderful lodging close to the airport - The little hotel has a family-like atmosphere, which means:
- very friendly people
- a caring Hostess who would always look out for the guests and always takes the time for chat a little đ
- very clean rooms, towels, beds...
- great breakfast, made with â¤ď¸
The only Thing missing is (maybe) a safe in the rooms, just for the feeling...
- dcdesichix (8/5): Very clean and cozy B&B super close to the Piarco Airport - My husband and I had a last minute overnight stay in Trinidad after a flight delay. Frantically, we started searching for a nearby hotel to crash for the night when upon speaking to an airport employee, we were referred to Airport Inn. We called Sita (the owner) after midnight and she was gracious enough to come and pick us up and take us back to her place, even at this late hour. Her home is beautiful with many personal touches. The room we were given was very basic, but super comfortable and the whole place is SPOTLESS. After having a good night's sleep, we woke up to a yummy breakfast of eggs, fresh fruit, juice, toast, and pastries. (Included in the price of the room.) The backyard is newly renovated with a nice sized pool and gorgeous lounging areas. The front of the home also has a lovely front porch sitting area. Sita made us feel right at home and even allowed us to stow our luggage while we explored Trinidad for a few hours since we had until midnight until our flight home. She also allowed us to relax in her home while we waited to go to the airport the same evening, and drove us there herself. Great hospitality for a short yet wonderful stay! Thank you for everything Sita! :)
- Carolinelovestravel (10/5): Unexpected stay - Due to several delays with our flight, we missed the connecting flight to Guyana. Luckily our agents booked us into Airport Inn. We arrived around midnight to be greeted by the very friendly owner who quickly sorted our room and organised when we would like breakfast the following morning. The room was clean and comfortable. We woke earlier than expected so sat in a very pleasant garden for an hour or so, there is also a nice swimming pool. Breakfast was very good, there is a very relaxed atmosphere to the place. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly and drove us to the airport herself.
- kevinbV5995HA (10/5): Convenient and restful - I chose the Airport Inn for a long layover because it was fairly inexpensive and they offered shuttle service from the airport. After staying there, however, I would have no problem going back for a longer stay with family or friends. It essentially has the coziness and charm of a bed and breakfast, but also has enough rooms to accommodate 15-20 people. The owner/manager of the Inn is both helpful and a delight to converse with.
The proximity to the airport also means that it is some distance from the downtown Port of Spain, but almost everything on the island can still be reached in an hour, depending on the traffic. The Inn's next-door-neighbor serves not only as the shuttle driver, but a competent taxi driver and tour guide.
- twyatt (8/5): Clean & cozy - Because I had an overnight transit, I arrived very late, called the hotel and the owner herself - "Chief cook & bottle washer" in her own words - came to the airport to collect me.
While this is certainly not the Hong Kong's Peninsula Hotel or Oberoi Rajvillas or Hotel Imperial in Vienna, I found the hotel to be well kept like a boutique home. I found the room clean, comfortable and with all the amenities. I also found the property to be secure.
I must also point out that it is good value for money.
When returning to Trinidad, I will definitely stay at this property again
- JOEDJ54 (8/5): In Transit Stay - Iâm very happy to have found this âperfect placeâ to stay overnight enroute to South America and for a long day stay on way back to USA. Staff were very helpful to get me from and back to Airport on arrivals and departures. I was able to walk to nearby restaurants for meals in addition to the breakfast service at Airport Inn.
- RandelE3 (8/5): In transit stay - I highly recommend this place for transiting passengers at Piarco. Close to the airport with free pick-up and drop-off, affordable and comfortable accommodation.. not to mention, the owner is very hospitable..
- Mudpilot007 (8/5): Short Layover Awaiting AM flight - I couldn't fault this really. I was unsure about pick up arrangements so asked one of the car hire companies if they could call. She used her mobile and after talking to the owner arrangements made which included type of car the reg number.
The drive is about 5 minutes only so very convenient.
The place is an Inn which is a large house in a residential area but what more do you want.
I spent only 5 hours here but the AC and Wifi worked with the room being very clean with bottled water left out. I had room No. 1 which had two double beds with table and chairs at the front of the house.
I got a lift back to the airport at 4am with another guest.
I'd stay here again.
- pearlholmes1 (10/5): Vacation - It was my second time staying at the airport inn and the service and overall experience was great,my room was clean breakfast was always ready and enjoyable,I will highly recommend anyone to go and prove it, there will be no regrets,
Pearl.
- cherylpO406PU (6/5): Stayed one night, prior to an early morning flight out of Trinidad back to the U.S. - This was a very convenient accommodation for one night due to a 9:30 am flight out the next day, and the close proximity to the Port of Spain airport. The free pickup and drop off is why we booked the Airport Inn. However, we had to take a taxi to the Inn, partly because of our mistake in not communicating with the proprietor about our arrival time following our vacation in Tobago. We were able to speak to her via the help desk at the airport, and she assured us there would be someone to greet us at the Inn. We did get a free drop off the next morning. Since we arrived late and left early, we really can't comment on anything but the room - which was comfortable, spacious, and air conditioned.
- jariaf (10/5): Excellent intransit location - I've been privileged to stay at Airport Inn on 4 occasions during my in-transit travels through Trinidad. This arrangement fits my style; very quite location, very hospitable service, the facility for pick up and drop offs at the airport is excellent and the price is right.
- bigote93 (10/5): Airport Inn Review - My 2 stays at the Airport Inn in Trinidad have been wonderful. Sita is super sweet and picks you up and drops you off on time. The room, bathroom, and beds are very clean. The wifi works great, and she even provided a small breakfast for me. As a student traveling in and out of the country, this place is a very safe and reliable choice!
- 255candyc (2/5): Carnival - I can start by saying she is a thief! I booked online & paid $100 for a night. Two days before arriving she called me stating that it has to be a minimum of 5nights because it's carnival week. I said no where on my reservation stated this & I already paid in full. I called her back & said I think you are trying to book someone else to get more money & want to cancel my reservation. She said no & denied it. She then said I can keep my reservation?! When I arrived she said you know it's $150 because it's carnival week? I said no! I already paid & this is what it said online what the price would be for the night! She argued, so I paid the difference. I was so mad. How can someone confirm & pay online then get there & you say oh no, you have to pay more? She was trying to make up for money lost on the other reservation that she tried to cancel me for. So annoyed. NEVER GOING BACK THERE! Beware!
- Les_is_more35 (8/5): Great for a short stay - We checked in after a late arrival flight from Tobago and a early morning departure.
We had a double room (one double bed, a single bed and a cot. Although I'm not sure where it would have been placed).
One of the owners picked us up at the airport. The rooms are a good size, with cable tv, large closet and decent sized washroom. The bedspread on my bed did have some questionable marks on it, but I simply took it off the bed.
It is a B n B. I was there for a very short period of time, but you quickly get the feeling you are an invited guest in someones' home.
The owner drove me back to the airport at a awful hour. I would stay here again for a layover, but not a extended stay.
- lodshir (10/5): Highly recommended!!! - One of the best choices I've made in choosing a place to stay cause I had a long lay over for my final destination.
Sita has an fantastic place and she's a fabulous host very friendly and will do anything to make you stay and experience comfortable and relax even though the stay is short it's still a memorable one.
She picked me up from the airport and she bring me to get something to eat and made sure I was comfortable and ok, I really and totally appreciate her hospitality.
Thanks Sita and I will be back.
I highly recommend her place to every and anyone you won't be disappointed.
It's simply amazing.
- Kok007 (2/5): Very bad!! Never again!! - This is not a hotel but a big house with rooms:
1. Cable Tv does not work
2. The whole day and everywhere flies (very nasty)
3. Airco doesn't work properly, makes a noise, works and stops, gets very hot and after a works after a while again and so on..
4. There are no rules given by check inn, but everything you do, the owner will tell you not to do.. you can't move free.. so uncomfortable..
5. And the price is very expensive and not in line with the room you get..
I will never never never visit airport inn again!!! Very bad service!!
- 507safiyah (8/5): Good for a short lay over - I was overnight in Trinidad and recommended by a colleague to stay here. I was pick up and dropped off from and to the airport. The service was very good and was able to rest comfortably after a long flight.
