However, it is the staff that make it special. They always remember me, greet me by name, and Bob, the General Manager, is often in the lobby welcoming guests himself. I would definitely recommend staying here!

This hotel is safe, very clean, close to everything, and staff is amazing. Shout out to Aaron who is so personable and helpful, he always went out of his way to speak to us and make us feel welcomed. 100% would stay again!
- Sarita2 (6/5): Good location and a functional hotel - First the good points. Location very good close to Times Square. They allowed early check in free of charge. Conveniently located water fountain (get your own bottles). They will do a daily housekeeping only if you request else every other day). Bad points: location is a little uncomfortable at night due to homeless people on the streets. Room looked out into a shabby office building. They will charge $75 if you request late checkout. They do not provide body lotion in the bathroom - literally the only Marriott or rather hotel where I found such an awkward policy. No closets or drawers provided other thN a few hangers. Room is poorly lit.
- Clinton (10/5): - I enjoyed this property. It was clean and quiet (no issues with noise) and air conditioning worked well. They had a bit of extra space and gave me an early check in by around an hour or so which was much appreciated. I'd recommend it here and stay again. The breakfast was meh. But otherthan that a good property. Oh and gym was also meh. But still overall clean and quiet and modern.

- frequenttraveller63 (8/5): Good location, nice rooms, as expected - The Courtyard by Marriott Times Square West was exactly what I expected. It's not a bad price (well ... relative to other crazy NY hotel price levels!), the location is excellent, steps off 8th Avenue and close to transport, sightseeing, restaurants and shops. And (the reason I chose it), just 5 minutes walk from Penn Station and Moynihan Train Hall. The room was a decent size (again ... relative to most very, very small NY hotel rooms). There's a good desk area for working, and the bathroom was spacious. Front desk were friendly and helpful. There's a basic cafe downstairs that sells rather overpriced breakfast stuff - much easier to go to one of the nearby coffee shops in my opinion, for cheaper, tastier food and drink. But it's convenient to have something on site. I would return. It's nothing amazing or out of the ordinary, but a good, solid choice that ticks all the right boxes.

The rooms were very comfortable, clean, and well-kept, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the start. Service overall was excellent, which made our time here enjoyable. The only downside is the location. The hotel is right beside a harm reduction center, so there are often people struggling with substance use gathered outside. At times, this meant seeing individuals sleeping on the street or openly using, which can feel unsettling. While the hotel itself is great, the surroundings may not be ideal for everyone. That being said, the hotel has great security and we never felt unsafe.

Parking is a short walk from the hotel entrance for an additional cost. Hotel staff were super pleasant and check in was very quick. Rooms were spotless. I will for sure stay again.

- Jenn (10/5): Weekend stay - Small room with a terrible view on the 18th floor, but that is what i reserved. I didn’t opt for the city view, which i will next time. King size bed. The room in general was smaller than what im used to. Big bathroom, big shower. Very clean - no complaints at all there. Everyone we encountered was nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Homeless people close by and their areas were very dirty. As a general statement the city is pretty dirty. Despite this comment, we love NYC and will return again and again!

- Carly (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard Manhattan Times Square West! The hotel was very modern, spotless, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Katherine Garcia checked us in and was absolutely fantastic – quick, friendly, and very informative, which made the process smooth and stress-free. Crystal was always cheerful and welcoming whenever we passed through the lobby, which made us feel right at home. A special mention also goes to Aaron Whitening, the bell attendant, who greeted us with a warm smile every day. He went above and beyond by helping us store our bags and even arranging our car service to the airport. Overall, the service, cleanliness, and hospitality were outstanding. We felt truly cared for during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York City – it’s a perfect choice!

Bedding and bath areas were excellent as well as dining area. Lots of garbage on the streets outside but staff members do their best to maintain a clean area.
