• Roos (7/5): Appartement op top locatie, maar gedateerd - Het appartementencomplex is erg goed onderhouden. Er is een groot zwembad met comfortabele bedden, parasols en een vernieuwd restaurant, tuin, tennisbaan, gym en laundry. Het ligt middenin de expatwijk Tao Dien op loopafstand van leuke restaurantjes. Het appartement zelf is gedateerd, het verdient nieuwe gordijnen en een nieuwe bank.

• Su J (10/5): A tranquil oasis in an incredibly busy city. - Exceptional EVERY time. These apartments are a calm Oasis in a chaotic (but incredible) city. I have stayed here five times, and it is the only place I will ever stay in Ho Chi Minh. The pool is amazing, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site is good. There is a tranquility to the place that is hard to describe. Nothing. Everything was perfect.

• JoeBee (8/5): Wir werden dort wieder übernachten. - Wir haben schon öfter dort gewohnt. Die Lage ist super und viele Restaurants & Bars (z.B. Orient Bar) sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Installation der GRAB-App lohnt sich aber auf jeden Fall, weil man damit überall und günstig hinkommt. Auch weitere Entfernungen (z.B. Vung Tau), sind kostengünstig anfahrbar. Die Anlage stellt aber auch ein Bus-Shuttle, sowie ein Wassertaxi zur Verfügung. Es war alles wie wir es kennen und erwartet haben. Keine Beanstandungen. In Saigon wir immer und viel gebaut. Daher kann und wird es ab und an mal etwas lauter werden. Hat aber mit der Anlage nichts zu tun.

Restaurant, Boot- und Bus Shuttle in die City ist inklusive , Gym, Tennis, Basketball - alles vor Ort und nutzbar. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Der Stadtteil Thao Dien ist perfekt für schöne Ferien. Nachtleben und Bars sind fussläufig erreichbar. Die Gebäude sind nicht mehr die neuesten, aber sie werden sehr gepflegt und gut unterhalten.

The onsite facilities are brilliant - the pool, play area, gym, tennis courts, etc. all well maintained. The daily cleaning of the room was a very good standard and friendly and professional. Some aspects of the properties are a little dated, however, for the price and the facilities, it is excellent value for money.

Located in a quiet and peaceful surrounding, this complex has great facilities and is within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, cafes and bars. The complex has laundry facilities and complimentary transport to HCMC District 1 via either river boat or bus. Definitely recommend.

• Kariannevl (9/5): A perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and family-friendly fun that made us feel at home - We had a wonderful stay at Riverside Apartments in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. The location was fantastic—close enough to the city centre but in a peaceful area. There was so much we loved about our stay: - The gym was well-equipped, and having a spa onsite was a real treat. - The free access to washing machines and tumble dryers was a godsend when travelling with two small children. - The playground for children and the great pool area (including a smaller kids' pool) was perfect for our family. - The staff were amazing and accommodating, especially when we needed a late checkout. - The location was ideal, with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. We highly recommend visiting the local Annam store, which has everything you could ever need—from freshly baked bread to sushi-grade fish, an excellent wine selection, and delicious rotisserie-roasted chickens. - The community feel was fantastic, with lots of expat families staying at the apartments. Our children loved making friends and playing in the pool every day. - The free boat service into the city was a brilliant addition—it was such a fun activity for the kids and elevated our experience. We felt so at home here so quickly. Riverside Apartments provides the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and a family-friendly environment. We would recommend it and will be back if we travel to Vietnam again. While the apartments are a little dated, everything was of a high standard and worked perfectly, so it didn’t impact our enjoyment at all. We stayed in three separate apartments during our time there as we kept extending and changing our plans. What we loved was that each apartment had the same layout, comfy beds, and all the same amenities, so we always knew exactly what to expect. It made everything so easy and stress-free!
• Alberto (9/5): A green, relaxing and peaceful spot in Ho Chi Min city. - It is true that there are in the city much more modern and luxurious residences, but this a very rare green oasis in the city. You can enjoy a natural, quiet and relaxing athmosphere, where you're free to walk or bycicle. Also, metro station is very close. The view on the river is amazing and the use of facilities, like pool, gym and sport facilities is very easy. The laundry service is exceptional, and open almost all day, for free. The whole staff is extremely friendly and helpful in anything. The rooms, although a bit old fashioned, are big, clean, and in very good conditions. The place is starting to show the years, but it has also huge pluses, compared to other more modern structures.

Nice pool and comfy sun beds. Healthy choice of breakfast food in restaurant with a lovely view of the river. Large one bedroom apartment that was exceptionally clean. The shower was in the bath and not really designed for tall Europeans. It also seemed to flood the floor and we couldn’t work out how it was happening. But everything else was perfect for us and wouldn’t let that stop us from stopping here again in the future.

Had to leave passport at desk during check in or give a hug/really big deposit, beings how it is illegal in Vietnam for any tourist not to have passport on them at all times while out in public it leaves a guest few options! 2. The price, yes it is a comfortable place but this is not a 5☆ star hotel with full services and yet you still charge 5☆ pricing.

The location by the river with the big garden is unique in this area of Saigon. That's why I always come here when in town.

I ended up having to make a separate booking for the additional nights required. Upon arrival, I was told my initial booking, made in March 2024, was not on the system!! Even though I had a confirmation and PIN number from Booking.com Apartments are very tired, dated. Cupboard doors did not close properly and door to kitchen was broken - so unable to close door when cooking to avoid noise/cooking odours spreading throughout apartment.

Well located with lots of nice cafes and restaurants close by. The electric plugs are old and the adapters provided did not work. The sofa needs to be cleaned and upholstered. A chair or two in the balcony should be provided. There were no dish cloths in the kitchen.

• Ashleigh (10/5): Fantastic place - We stayed here for a week visiting family in ho chi minh. The room was lovely and spacious and had everything we needed! It was serviced daily by a lovely staff member who bought fresh water/ towels and toilet roll and offered to clean but the room was that spacious it didn't really get messy! The Pool area was beautiful with clean towels available and lots of sunbeds. It's only a ten minute walk to the bars and 5 minutes to the shops but there is a small shop on site for water and the girl in the shop was lovely and helpful. Getting taxis was really easy and it was about a 15 minute taxi ride to district one. We would definitely stay here again if we visit ho chi minh in the future! We loved everything about this place! One small recommendation would be chairs on the balcony as the chairs inside were a bit heavy and bulky to drag outside.
• Robin. (4/5): Great facilities, run down apartments - Riverside is definitely a place for families or those who have pets. The facilities are great and it’s a joy to walk around the premises. There is plenty of room for kids to play around. The pool is clean and they have a nice restaurant by the river. The shuttle boats are convenient and the fastest way to town. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The complete apartments are run down from top to bottom! It’s a trip down memory lane to 20 years ago, but surely not an apartment you want to spend time in. The washrooms are substandard and the kitchen fell apart. The bedrooms did not look inviting and while we booked it for two days we checked out after the first day and slept somewhere else. It is surely not worth the money they are charging as the facilities do not make up for the apartment. A lot of room for improvement and the apartments should be renovated after 20 years, that means proper kitchens, modern bathrooms and bedrooms that do not look like a museum.

One of the best I have ever experienced.) gym, fitness and location. I would really recommend Riverside. The water taxi service was an additional surprise and most welcome. The little supermarket was lovely and the girls there are delightful. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Mattress in the bedroom and pillows. The mattress was too firm for me but that is a personal issue and I prefer soft feather pillows. Perhaps the mattress could have a thick topper? I will buy some pillows when I return. I will return, most definitely!

The attended swimming pool was a pleasant surprise. The on-site restaurant was very good even though the menu seemed to have been curtailed a bit. The courtesy bus into the city centre was excellent as was the boat. Maybe some sort of guide to the immediate area with locations of ATMs, good restaurants and any other places of interest to the visitor.

• Steven (6/5): No very relaxing. - We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, Property was clean and well maintained. AC could have been colder. Wifi not very good. Good to get away from the beep beep outside as your in a complex. Wifi was really bad in our apartment, no signal in the bedrooms, and would cut out in the lounge. This is free complex Wifi for the residents with good signal around the pool area. Most permanent residents had private wifi. The apartments don’t have a private wifi network, just the free complex wifi which is not very good. We check apartment block 10 and 11 to change rooms but they didn’t have any signal at all anywhere. So we checked out after 2 nights. The rooms are dark and not very well lit. The first day we arrived we couldn’t sit inside the restaurant as they were getting it ready for a private party. We were looking forward to sitting in the AC for lunch as we had been travelling for 3 weeks. And needed a break from the heat. But we got sent outside. So we left the complex and went outside for food. Which actually defeated the purpose why I booked the complex with everything on site, so we could have a break from walking around. All plug sockets are Uk style in all apartments you get one adapter. Not enough for 4 people. And we couldn’t use our adapter’s we had with us. So one adapter for everyone. 4 phones to charge and 2 iPads battery packs. Hair dryer and hair straightener. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle it’s great. But definitely not the real Vietnam in this complex, mostly residents who live on site, most people know each other. Didn’t feel included and shouldn’t of been there. Also a noisy dog park next to the apartment block, just outside the bedroom windows, with residents taking dog for a run before work. Wasn’t happy to be awakened on my first morning with a dog barking. The small shop was double the price of outside the complex. And the coffee shop had the worst coffee I’ve had in Vietnam for the highest price. 60k for iced coffee and it was terrible. I asked a resident and they told me to get coffee from outside the complex cheaper and loads better. Good large pool with free towel to use.

• Thorina (9/5): Wonderful calm oasis in Thao Dien - I love the location! The Riverside is a quiet oasis in District 2. The complex is where a lot of long term residents live so one doesn’t feel like it’s a hotel. You see lots of families and kids. I really love the beautiful tropical grounds surrounding the property and the big pool. It’s perfect to get your laps in after a long day running around the city. The restaurant is excellent and the people who work there are very nice. I especially enjoyed the setting alongside the Saigon river. Another little bonus is the water taxi and bus service to downtown, so you don’t need to spend as much in taxis. The Riverside also has free laundry machines if you don’t mind doing your own laundry! The decor of the rooms is getting a bit dated. If I ran the place, I’d freshen them up and redecorate. That said, the beds are comfy and I slept very well. Note that the electrical outlets are possibly the British version. The Riverside provides adapters
• Yusuke (8/5): - It was clean and the service was polite and comfortable, but the room facilities (cooler, lighting, and toilet were a little out of order. The facilities are a little old.

• Barbara (10/5): Perfect for a relaxing stay - Quiet relaxing area of Saigon close to restaurants and cafes, with excellent leisure facilities on site, with free shuttle bus and boat to the centre of HCMC.
• Jordan (2/5): No service, no privacy - Near the river, some good restaurants are close Staff were terrible. No cleaning was done as they insisted on coming at 8am and then when we ran out of toilet paper they refused to give us more. 1st floor balcony has 0 privacy. If you don't have kids this place is terrible.
• Laura (10/5): a great place to stay for families - a superb stay and the perfect place to acclimatise when arriving in HCMC.The pool facilities were great for the kids and the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed it so much we are returning when we come back to HCMC. nothing

• Ongaro (9/5): Best location in Saigon , if you want to relax after a busy day . - Every thing is great, location. ,ambiance, and only 10 min from the center.we really recommand it!
