The cleaning staff take their jobs seriously and do a good job. The front office staff is quite helpful, and resolve issues to your satisfaction (I faced some wifi issues which were sorted out quickly) The restaurant serves really good food - traditional, non spicy, non oily saatvik food.

Dynasty restaurant has good food. I recommend everyone to dine there. Complementary Breakfast was good but became monotonous after long stay. More variety could have been offered, specially for long stay guests to break the repeated menu. My room was cleaned everyday. Staffs were professional. Front office and Housekeeping staffs did well. Laundry service was also great. Thank you

I never had any issues for those 5 days. Everything was handled well so that the event could go seamlessly. Special thanks to Ms. Felicia Gayatri, Mr. Yoganand and Mr. Arjun from the banquet team for always being available. Especially Ms. Felicia Gayatri and Mr. Yoganand were top notch. Though Google says 3-star hotel, these two were giving 5-star service. Thanks a lot.

• Compass36929345040 (10/5): Mctm 1976 batch reunion meet - We had organized a get-together of our schoolmates at Harrisons, Mulberry Hall on 26th April for a group of 35 friends. We had an excellent experience and wonderful time at Harrisons. The food was outstanding and our thanks to gayathri in helping us to choose the right menu. Our group had an excellent time and this is our 4th meeting at Harrisons in the last 6 years. We will definitely come back again next year.
• sreedharvasudevan (4/5): Declining standard of the Harrisons Hotel at Chennai - Stayed at the Harrisons Hotel for two days on the 20th and 22nd of this month. The stay was quite poor. The first room they gave me was on the 5th floor. There was a terrible stink in the corridor and was extremely offensive. Once you entered the room, the bedsheets had not been changed. they were hair and stains on them and it smelled really bad. Then I asked HK to change the bed sheets. Thereafter, the phones to speak to reception doesn't work. The TV remotes had no batteries and there were no channels whatsoever except a few news and free on TV. The flush didn't work. I kept requesting for a double bed but strangely they couldn't provide me with one in two days. Reason: All Sold Out..!!! After lots of persuasion and requests, they gave me a room on the 6th floor. This floor did not stink like the 5th floor. The room was better. But still had to request batteries for the remotes, floor mats for the bathroom door. Nothing was provided. A better room than the last one, I stayed till I vacated. Coming to restaurants: The Chinese restaurant Dynasty is good. The Indian Restaurant Meenam served us stale fish. Being from hard core fish eaters, we could easily make out that the fist was stale and unhealthy. We asked the capt to check and he came back with a all good certificate from the Chef. We did not eat the fish dish but was promptly charged for the same. They gave a custard pudding costing fraction of the fish dish as free as if to show their magnanimity. The HK guys don't pick up their calls. And if they do, they are not very helpful. Harrisons used to be a great hotel at one time , but today sadly the hotel has lost its pride and sheen. The staff are not welcoming and warm. The Management is advised to look into these matters and not leave it to the junior most manager to run the place. Some senior intervention is immediately required.

Room - 8/10 The premium room is spacious, decorated and well kept and provides 2 bottles of mineral water per day. Room rates provide value for money. Service - 8/10 Room service and house keeping are quick. Breakfast - 7/10 Served on the second floor, the spread contains south Indian specials (idli, dosa, vada, upma), egg, puri aloo sabzi, beetroot juice, tea coffee and sausages.

Especially the lady at the front desk, she was super helpful and willing to accommodate our requests. We met the manager too and he was also very receptive of our suggestions and feedback. I guess Chennai being a big city getting a room of a decent size is not an easy task at all. So yeah, found the room to be really poky and tiny. One thing I've always got irked about in my stays in numerous 3 star hotels is the indifferent and step motherly treatment meted out to the toilet and bathroom. Lack of a dental kit, hair dryer in the bathroom, mat for the dry area, were very glaring. And, as everywhere else, the cleaning of the toilet/bathroom is very shoddy. The corners of the bathroom really was a huge put off and I think a lot more than just sprinkling of soap water and wiping off with a mop is required to spruce it up. The next sore point was the complimentary breakfast...ooooffff, those stone cold/rock hard idlis, the upma which looked like my granddaughter's play dough and tasted....Ehhhh!! Did I say *taste*? Sorry, I got that mixed up with tasteless, odourless, flavourless... It was just a huge mass of dampened sooji. Maybe the saying *Eat breakfast like a king* is unheard of in this hotel. And please don't fall prey to *free Wi-Fi* tag line, because no matter what time you check in, their server will inevitably develop a problem the next morning and you'll have no WiFi. Wish that they pay more heed to the fact that they are in the *SERVICE INDUSTRY*

• Mitbha (6/5): Wierd and Funny policy - Free Kinley water, Rs.53 for Aquafina - I am a regular at Harrisons since they are a stone's throw away from my Chennai office. So I make do with some small inconveniences and policies. But this one takes the cake. So, they keep 2 brands of mineral water. Kinley and Aquafina (both have the same MRP). The Aquafina bottle is kept in the fridge and is charged Rs.53 as mini bar service. The Kinley one is complimentary and kept outside. Weird? So, I asked for a cold Kinley bottle since that is complimentary. But they don't serve cold Kinley 😤 So, if you want cold complimentary water, keep your Kinley in the fridge and wait for an hour. Howz that for policy? If you want to distinguish, keep a Perrier vs Kinley. Not an Aquafina.

• DMitra (4/5): Not happy - couldn't sleep - I stayed in the hotel during my business trip to Chennai. The hotel is in good location. The rooms given is also ok, but there was a humming sound coming through out the night and the vibration can be felt in bed. This might be due generators or something but i couldn't sleep. The bathroom is ok and need to call for basic toiletries in the room. I had dinner and food quality is ok.
