- Judy (8/5): - It was an overnite transit to Sauraha
Reception young man was very welcoming most pleasant
Room lacks better lighting & shower stall needs either curtain or separation as water was splashing all over bathroom
Breakfast given for takeout was not recommended!!
- weiping (6/5): 性价比一般 - 酒店比较陈旧,大堂也很小,接待的美女一口汉语真不错,给了我不少帮助。早餐还可以,整体打80分吧
- rich (10/5): staff is wonderful - Definitely stay again
lovely breakfast clean room and perfect location with great price
Thank you all

Equipe super cordial, café da manhã delicioso, ambiente familiar, localização excelente: Perto de tudo mas sem barulho! Você estará a poucos metros de cafés, bares e restaurantes, além dos mercados, farmácia, etc.

- simon (8/5): near shoping - good location, a lot of shoping, taxi is easy to get, all kind of food, like chinese, japanese, western.
- Molly (10/5): This is your place! - What a great place! Rooms have lots of character and are clean. The staff was friendly, helpful and prompt in communication. Wi-fi was great. Breakfast was excellent. On the edge of Thamel so you get to enjoy this great part of the city with all of the shops and restaurants while being far enough from the craziness and noise.
- skapoor (10/5): Nice hotel in heart of everything - Centrally located in " Hotel Square" of Thamel . Walking distance to Darbar Square. In mid of cafe, shopping and night life. Great staff and breakfast . Nice mountain view from the room ( second floor) Sapcious rooms well maintained. Bimla and staff team took very good care of us and family. Hotel and rooms are seen on website.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - nice hotel. I loved being there. breakfast and room service were up to the mark. Staffs were very well behaved.
- Niher (8/5): good hotel - It s great location and as per my choice..
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel - Very nice hotel ! Staffs are very helpful! I want to visit again.
- Matt (10/5): Great stay at Dream Nepal Hotel and Apartments - Dream Nepal Hotel and Apartments is situated right next to the Thamel district. There is no problem walking from the hotel. The staff will be very supportive ordering a taxi at a fair price if you rather like to drive. The rooms were nice, the sheets was clean and the bathroom was functional. The staff was very friendly, helpful and service minded. It was a great stay.
- Vincent (10/5): Nice hotel in Thamel - Employees were very welcoming and helpful, specially Bimala. Check-in was quick and room was comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Kathmandu.
- Keri (8/5): Good little place! - Good room for the price. Location is away from busy streets, but still close enough to a hub of everything. Service was very professional. Breakfast selections were very good.
- Bob (10/5): Friendly Effective/Efficient Staff - This hotel is within easy walking distance of many of the sites in Kathmandu. The staff can arrange car/driver to include guide if you wish to other sites. The staff is friendly, know you by name, the facility is clean, the water is hot, the price is reasonable, the complimentary breakfast is satisfying and the fruit is fresh. Complimentary airport shuttle.
- Aparna (10/5): Incredible hotel in the heart of Thamel - The staff were excellent (from the reception staff to the breakfast staff). All were extremely accommodating and made our experience absolutely fantastic. Will definitely recommend this hotel to all others and have already planned on returning in three weeks time.
- Paramjeet (10/5): Superb Staff, Excellent Location, Great food. - I absolutely loved my stay here. I booked the suite room on the 4th floor. The staff were superb! The breakfast they offered changed daily and was absolutely delicious. I'd highly recommend staying here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): clean ,convenient hotel with friendly service - We found all of the staff to be extremely warm and friendly .They catered to our every need in a very cheerful manner .Nothing was too much trouble for them . It felt like we were part of their family .The breakfast menu each morning was varied ,extensive and delicious .
We also organised our treking through the hotel which proved to be extremely enjoyable.
We will definetly be returning to Dream Hotel on our next visit to Nepal.
- Ashish (8/5): Awesome - This was my first stay here in Dreams Nepal Hotel and Department. I am fully satisfied with the services at the hotel. The hotel staffs were very friendly. They even provide free breakfast. What more can you ask. Plus, the price is also cheap in compared to other hotel prices with that kind of facilities and room. At last, I definitely recommend you guys to stay in this hotel. You won't get regret it. Thanks.
- Nicole (10/5): A feeling of home in Thamel - The staff at the hotel were genuinely helpful and friendly. They did everything they could to help us. We needed to print out 15 copies of a document and when we asked them where we could do this, they just did it for us. Whenever we needed some information or a taxi, they helped us. They just made us feel at home.
- Chango (8/5): Nice hotel, quieter, more unsightly end of Thamel - This hotel is somewhat of a missed blessing. Tucked in the back streets of Thamel, it can give you some extra quiet. But you still hear traffic noise, including from some construction machinery early in the morning. The hotel itself is neat and authentic looking, but the immediate surrounding is off-putting. You mind it less after your first couple of days in Kathmandu. ;-)
The staff is incredibly nice and not just superficially so. They are all genuinely helpful, command reasonably good English, interested to talk to you. (Maybe the slow season helped this.)
Breakfast was outstanding. Apart from the food, the setting and the friendly staff there make it an enjoyable experience. On my second morning there after my trek they had greatly reduced menu, but I think this had to do with having very few other guests and the fuel shortage. (Everybody complained how this Indian "blockage" was troubling their lives.)
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Amazing! Literally made us fall in love with the Nepalese people. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!
- Brahadeeswaran (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Dream Nepal Hotel - very nice place to stay.excellent customer care by hotel staff.Excellent food served during my stay
- Alison (8/5): Very friendly hotel staff - We only stayed one night but it was the perfect place to rest after a long flight from Australia. Very helpful and friendly staff and delicious and giant breakfast included in the price. Very close to the main part of Thamel. We would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Wonderful staff - For the price, it's a comfortable room with friendly staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very Good Property in Kathmandu. - This Hotel Relay a good property to every body.Good behabiar of the all staff. We will come again at Kathmandu and stay in this Hotel only.Price of this Hotel is Very much lower in compare with the Hotel Facilities in all respect.Even they Pic up & Drop at Airport in the Free of Cost.No body Demand any Trips in the Hotel. GOOD, GOOD, VERY GOOD.............Nityananda CHatterjee.KOLKATA.
- Vicky (4/5): Delicious breakfast - Comfortable enough for a one night stay. Room was ok. Breakfast service was good. Very happy with the free pickup from the airport.
- joanne (10/5): Well located at beginning of Thamel - Close to garden of dreams. Best hot shower with good pressure that I have had in Thamel. Exceptionally clean. Good air con and tv. Free airport pick up late at night. Family run and shok lama on desk all night so very safe. Highly recommended.
- Nikhil (8/5): Family Friendly Hotel in Thamel - It was an overall pleasing stay at the hotel. We were a family of 3 that got picked up at the airport (for free). On arrival we were welcomed by an extremely friendly and pleasing hotel staff. They quickly checked us in and even offered some drinks to cool of. They have decent daily local tour packages (we opted for that on one of the days) and have an in house tour operator for inter city trips and extensive excursions. The hotel is run and managed by a group of about 8~10 people that play different roles and do them well. After an enjoyable stay we were dropped of at the airport (charged) and left with a trip and stay full of good memories.
- LarsOlov Eriksson (6/5): Very good location - A simple but nice little hotel in the middle of Kathmandu
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice quiet hotel - We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, 2 of these nights in a deluxe room. The room was nice, clean although the hot water wasn't always available. The hotel is well located, in thamel, but on a back street so it's relatively quiet.
We had issues with our pickup from the airport, no one came and despite booking a deluxe room via expedia well in advance, when we got there they had no deluxe rooms left and we got a budget room which I would not recommend.
- Scott (8/5): Great staff. - My stay at Dream Nepal Hotel was very nice, in particular due to the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. The room was also nice, although a bit chilly at night as I visited in December. The food was alright, but also there is at least one very good restaurant in the immediate vicinity. If I do return to Kathmandu, I will certainly consider staying again at Dream Nepal.
- Gen (10/5): Luxury in the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu - My partner and I stayed here both before and after trekking around the Annapurna Region. The staff were lovely and helpful with lots of local recommendations. They happily stored luggage for us whilst we went away. The hotel was clean, and if anything quite luxurious compared to what we were used to after 4 weeks of trekking. It was a little off the main part of Thamel but this was good as it was more quiet than staying right on the main strips. I would definitely recommend this for people looking for a comfortable stay with bells as whistles such as air conditioning/heating, a fridge, kitchenette, couch (we stayed in one of the apartments).
- Dr. A Moosani. (8/5): A welcoming small sized hotel! - I enjoyed my two days of accommodation at this hotel and I was highly satisfied with the services offered to me by Ms. Bobby and Mr. Neeraj in particular. A small sized hotel but a welcoming one!
- footloose (10/5): feel at home in the thamel - I was looking for a comfortable neighborhood hotel in Kathmandu, after staying for 4 nights in a 4 star corporate hotel on business. The Dream Nepal was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Daniel (8/5): Satisfied traveler despite overbooking. - I was conveniently picked up @ the airport after a phone call made from India (my previous stay). At the hotel Dream Nepal they were overbooked and offered me a room to the next door hotel Fuji. There I stayed 3 beautiful nights, and can only rate the hotel Fuji; I will give a 5. Concerning the hotel Dream Nepal,I can only rate the hotel location a solid 5 and surrounding neighborhood also a 5, the rest a middle 3's.But to my daily visit to the Dream Nepal for breakfast and sightseeing arrangements I found the staff were very hospitable and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The rooms are basic, but the staff at the hotel is amazing. Accommodating, very professional, and knowledgeable.
- Fin (10/5): Friendly service, lovely place - We stayed here twice during our trip around Nepal. The place is lovely: decorated with consideration, clean, wi-fi works. The location is really good: a quiet side street but close to all the restaurants and shops of Thamel. The service was also great and so very friendly. Highly recommended!
- Dan (10/5): I'll stay here every time I'm in Kathmandu - The stay was excellent. The hotel is close to all sights. I stayed 3 days before a scheduled tour and 2 days after said tour. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful including planning a day trip for me which included a driver and guide. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent and the staff attentive. I cannot think of any negatives regarding this hotel and staff.
- mothie (8/5): Great staff - Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here at Dream Nepal Hotel, the rooms (we stayed in 2 different rooms) were pretty clean and comfortable, hot showers - of course at the price its not 4 or 5 star but it was good. The staff are wonderful, very friendly, helpful and honest. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was very good. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel as a quite, good value hotel in the Thamel area.
- name (2/5): Good room quality - below average service - Room was fine, clean (deluxe) but just out of the windows there was a terrace, sometimes with people, which means noisy and huge lack of privacy (imagine going out of the shower). The staff was not helpful at all. We were treated just as another tourist. They also make a lot of mistakes on the bookings (they thought we were checking out 1 day earlier, but finally they found out about their mistake). They try to promote their in-house travel agency a lot (very annoying). They even proposed me to give me the wifi password when I visit the agency!!!!! which of course I denied (wifi doesn't work on top floor, although advertising wifi in room). Breakfast was horrible, very touristic and small.
- ricardo (10/5): great service and location - Dream Nepal is a nice little hotel in central Thamel. The area is very busy and loud, but Dream is tucked away enough to have quit nights. The staff is very friendly and willing to help with further transport, tours and sightseeing without pushing to sell their own tours. Nice breakfast in the morning consisting of a variety of eggs, meat and potatoes and toast/jam/butter, orange and mango juice and of course tea and coffee. A bit pricey for this area, but worth the money
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very helpful staff - The staff at this hotel went out of their way to make our stay as happy as possible. They were helpful and friendly but more than this made us feel at home. For example our daughter was catching a later flight than us to a different destination: we later discovered that the hotel paid for her taxi to the airport and gave her a free lunch: it was like leaving her with family!
- Charlotte (6/5): It's ok, but the budget rooms have no windows. - I booked 4 days a budget double on hotels.com at a very good rate, but only stayed one, after finding out budget rooms have no windows. Overall the service was very friendly, and they even provided a welcome drink.
The standard room was clean and spacious, though the bathroom is small.. No issues With the hot water. Breakfast was simple but passable.
Towards the back they are building a new hotel. It is quiet in the evening, but they start around seven in the morning. Didn't bother me, though. What did bother me was the noise from the other guest, since you can hear everything from the reception, stairs and rooms next door.
They second day they wanted me to move rooms. I then found out that BUDGET ROOMS have NO WINDOWS and that they wanted me to vacant the room before the other rooms was ready.
They were kind enough to refund the three nights, which Is why I still give three stars. Better options are just around the corner.
Room Tip: Don't book the budget rooms, as they have no windows.
- Roshan (6/5): Ummmmm - Due to the flight delay, checked in a day later then the planned schedule. Still the room was not ready(for some reason). Given a tiny room for time being till the room was ready. Fair enough. Finally when it was ready, it didn't remotely looked like a "SUITE" in my wildest dream, for which I had to pay a bit extra. Cause of that, did cut my stay short and checked out early. My fault basically cause I didnt argued, and only realised that i booked for a suite only once when i was going through my emails later after. Apart from that, staffs were very friendly and helpful. Food was OK.
- traveller0285 (10/5): Fantastic service - Hotel Staff were very friendly and also helped us in planning our trip.kudos to Mr. Lama and his team
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quality Service - I was in Kathmandu for three days and all of the staff were very welcoming and helped arranged travel plans quickly. I would recommend Krishna as a day driver for visiting all the temples in and around Kathmandu. Make sure to get a receipt after eating in their restaurant which was delicious to ensure you don't get double charged when checking out.
