Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not the greatest. - Small dirty room. No bathroom, shared down the corridor.
- WAZEED BASHA (2/5): Very worst hotel....Don't go tothis.. - The worst hotel in my life i have seen...Very small room. After payment also they charged extra 1500/- per day. They did not provide free breakfast as listed in the website. I don't know why Hotels.com will allow these guys.
- RAMSAGAR (2/5): The booking facilities are didn't get - Not satisfied with your sevice. I have booked a room in hotel city palace Mumbai. Booking id is 8150525419375. I have booked economy single room. However at the time of check-in they said it's basic room with single bed and small place to stand and shared bathroom, small TV and no fridge. It's not at all convenient to stay. When I asked them by showing the booking details made at your website they said hotels.com people might have written wrongly about the facilities. Later I have paid 1000 INR extra to get the decent room where the facilities are more are less what mentioned in the booking. Pls clarify this issue by analysing your booking display details and check with the hotel management
- KRISHNAMOORTHI K V (2/5): I have already given a reply through mail - Very bad experience! I had to change the room paying more!
- Verified traveler (4/5): I have never seen a Hotel with Common Rest Rooms. - It was terrible experience. I was not at all informed about common rest rooms.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel to connect with train, bus stop. Good - I hv stayed for at least four times in this hotel. I m happy. Ambiance nice
- Bhushan (8/5): Good Location - Nice location. Near to CST. Very close to market. Cleanliness is good. Staff is very co-operative.
- Girish (2/5): Worst Hotel - Worst Hotel. Not recommended for ladies and families. Peeping Tom, trying to take video from Bathroom window. While was accessible from Terrace.
- Girish (2/5): - A/c stopped working. Had to spend night with Fan. Peeping toms, trying to take video from Bathroom window, which is accessible from Terrace. Strictly NO No for families and Ladies.
- Burros1o (6/5): Happy - very good
- Ramesh (10/5): Great Budget Hotel - Great Budget Hotel at Mumbai CST
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very Very good Hotel and very nice hospitality and - My experience with this hotel is very good and excellent. I have never such a hospitality and good behavior of staff and Reception manager is very kind humble and gentle person. I was sitting in reception for some time after checking out. The staffer were very humble they kept our luggage and they allowed us to refresh etc....very hare hospitality in mumbai.....I sincerely recommend to guests to visit this hotel and very conveniently located VT station is nearby very very convenient.
- Susmit (8/5): Good hotel close to CST station - A nice hotel to stay in.It is very close to CST,about a minute or 2 walk from the station. Hotel staff behavior was good.rooms were clean & well maintained.
- Verified traveler (2/5): I was not allowed to check even with government ID - I was not allowed to check in despite providing 2 types of government issued ID including one issued by the Indian government
- Verified traveler (6/5): Unsatisfactory - Hotel stay was ok but booking with Expedia in advance costs more than the actual tarrif of hotel.
- ANUP (8/5): Stay at Hotel City Palace Mumbai - The stay was very refreshing after a long journey.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Too congested - Had to stay with family for a day and choose this hotel for the only reason being proximity to the CST. Room was clean but too much cramped. Even Deluxe superior room is not convenient for a couple, it is just ok for a single person to stay. Other services and facilities are in line with the room and below minimum expected for what they charge.
- Anup P N (6/5): Complementary breakfast needs to be improved. - Though the rooms were well furnished but very congested and have less room.No proper vantillations. The complementary breakfast consists of only tea/coffee and small slices of bread/butter compared to other hotel's free breakfast.
- Munish (8/5): - Although I stay there for 2 nights . All good but wifi was not working at all.
- Verified traveler (6/5): 'Excellent' room service - The room was spotless clean. The room window is in front of the scorching Sun in the afternoon. No A.C. can stand such heat in May.
The deal was with complimentary breakfast. The breakfast is served as if obliging us like we are sort of beggars. The man on the phone is extremely rude once you say, you are supposed to get complimentary breakfast.
He decided he will give us Tea and Bread butter. I asked if we can have coffee, he rudely agreed and repeated. Once again I asked if we can have toast butter instead of bread butter. He agreed murmuring something. I again asked if he can apply some Jam on toast. He rudely agreed. Again I asked if I can have any eggs in the same deal. No. He snapped. You will get only Tea/coffee and Toast, butter, Jam. Don't ask for anything else, he snapped on me.
Like beggars, we accepted what was offered. Except this, other staff was courteous, expecting tips all the time, for any 'favour'.
