Guest Reviews
- Vanessa (10/5): - Great hotel and spacious.
The bed and pillows were not the best but overall great price and clean place.
- Lindsay (10/5): - Great option
- VINEETH (10/5): - I like the whole place.
- Princess (4/5): - I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless it was the only option. One of the rooms heavily smelled like dog. I had to keep the window open the entire time because it was so strong. There was dog hair throughout the room, to the point that when I returned home I had dog hair all over my clothes. Cleanliness of the kitchen and bathroom were passable. It felt like they really needed to do a good once over with a mop. Building definitely needed some repairs.
Pluses were that the staff were cordial and the location was pretty quiet and felt safe. Lots of free parking available as well.
The kitchen area has basically nothing in it, but I knew to expect this from other reviews.
- Leonard (10/5): - clean and supplied as advertised
- Brenda (8/5): - Very affordable
- Andrey carlo (8/5): -
- Lexie (10/5): - Quiet room. Easy parking. Great price.
- Mohammed Murad (8/5): - Good value for the budget. And four people. But the mattresses and the beds are not comfortable for to sleep. People are advised to bring their own mattress
- Lisa (10/5): - It was very private. No one to do our room cleaning everyday. It was like living at your own house. We love the kitchen, we were able to store fishes that we caught and we were able to reheat our food on the stove.
- Carol (8/5): - The Residence is in a quiet area of the city, and convenient for our event. The cost is very reasonable and the suite was very clean.
- deanica (10/5): - Good
- Terry (10/5): - It was affordable, quiet, clean and the beds were extremely comfortable.
- Paul (8/5): - Had to check into a different building than I was staying in.
There are no carts to help with luggage.
Parking wasn't great.
- Roy (10/5): - It was a perfect stay
- Jamie (10/5): - This was interesting. I mean, its a dorm room. It was kinda fun in a stripped down way. It had stuff that was a welcome surprise (kitchenette), and stuff that we usually see in hotel rooms missing like tv (do you really need one?).
- Nancy (8/5): - It was fine for a less expensive option. If we had needed to stay multiple days the kitchen would have been nice but we just had a short overnight stay. Nice to get 2 bedrooms but shared everthing else since traveling with my brother. The ability to do laundry was a bonus. People at the front desk were nice. Was a little weird to be back in a college dorm room! All in all well worth the money.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A reasonable option - If you’re looking for a place to crash and on a budget. This is a great option. It’s a college dorm so in the summer they rent it out to generate extra income when the students are away. 2 bedrooms with a desk in each one if you need to work. A kitchen table for two full size fridge and stove (no plates or utencils). Also has a washroom in the unit. All the essentials you need.
- Suzette (10/5): - Great location, quiet, helpful staff, clean, secure. Close to amenities. Reasonably priced.
- Marcia (10/5): Best bang for your buck - It's always great to stay here. We are in our second year doing so. I bring a cooler an my camping dishes and save money cooking while we explore the area. Had a great young lady who beat me back to myoom when i asked for toilet paper. Amazing service
- William (10/5): - Great value for the price
- William (10/5): - Great value
- Olga (10/5): - The unit was very spacious and clean. Perfect for our 2-nights stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable - Everything was all comfortable level, had to switch rooms because of a small ant problem
- Rhonda (10/5): - Great place to stay. very clean, great location, staff friendly, easy parking - loved it !!
- JASON (8/5): - Overall, it was a good stay and great price
- Anne (10/5): - Very reasonable and accessible.
- Kevin (8/5): - Easy to find, quite and great value 👌
- christy (8/5): - I like everything...
- Lavern (8/5): - Good value. Very basic . Close to hospital.
- Mike (6/5): You get what you pay for - It was a college resident room that was just OK! The bathroom sink did not drain properly. The shower would leak on the floor and there was no TV. But on the bright side, it was cheap and clean. I stayed for two nights and upon my arrival and and realizing there was no TV, I tried to cancel my second night, but they would not let me
- Icey (9/5): It is a very good place for visitors to stay in North bay for visiting. - There are 2 rooms in the suite, so it is very valuable for the family. Nothing.
- Wendy (10/5): - Perfect for an overnight stop. No complaints.
- Juliet (6/5): This is a college residence that isn’t properly outfitted as a hotel but is fine for a cheap roadside stay. - Fine location just off the highway, functioning kitchen appliances. A lamp, some cutlery and dishes would go a long way. The pillows smelled like mildew.
- Colin (10/5): - An easy and cost-effective alternative to staying at an Air-bnb or hotel. Great option for an easy stay
- Dmitrii (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (9/5): It was wonderful.Very clean and tidy - There was no breakfast. I cant think of anything at this time.
- Carol (8/5): - We liked that it was a quiet environment, never heard a soul in the hallway or through the night, and we liked that the suite was clean. The only exception to that was the carpets in the suite, they were dirty and we could not walk barefoot in the bedrooms.
- Carol (8/5): - We were pleased with the quietness, never heard a sound in the hallway or through the night, also that the suite was clean. The one exception to that was the carpets. They were dirty and we couldn't walk barefoot in the bedrooms.
- Pidnebesna (4/5): I wouldn’t recommend staying here for more than 3 days! - One of the positive aspects was the staff — they were truly kind and responsive. Whenever we had any issues, they helped us with a smile. A MAJOR downside was the complete lack of basic kitchen items. There was no kettle, no microwave, no glasses, no forks — absolutely nothing! The nearest store is a 25–30 minute walk from the hotel, so staying for an extended period (even just a week) was extremely inconvenient. You’d have to buy your own knife, fork, and plate just to make a simple salad. You can’t even make yourself a cup of tea. This really took away from the overall experience and left a negative impression on the trip.
- Katie (10/5): - Great accommodations for a reasonable price!
- Sandra (2/5): - Thered was nothing to like and I had to pay in advance of even seeing the room so when I asked for a refund it was refused!
Check the listings you put in the Hotels section when one uses Trivago to book a hotel in a city a few hours drive from one's home!
- Philippe (8/5): - Great place to stay
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ahmad (8/5): Very good -
- Carmelle (6/5): Pleasant -
- Carolyn (8/5): - Basic, well priced, does the job
- Kate (8/5): - Loved how close it was to everything and how close we were to beaches!! Everything was like with in maybe ? A 5 minute drive. We ended up in room with a broken ac and the room was a little dirty. Called down to the front desk and they were able to help sort it. It was amazing how well things were taken care of. They moved us rooms and it was great.
- Anonymous (8/5): Besides the infested spiders in the common room and air conditioner not working, our room was great! - See above… The common room on the 4 th floor in building 19 was infested with spiders…we notified the front desk and their responses was Orkin comes in from time to time .
And the air conditioner in the same common room was not working…
- linda (6/5): - Hard to understand people at check in . They didn’t understand what we wanted so took a long time to get organized. Check in ). Was not able to get on line what we wanted either so didn’t get it .
- Sergei (9/5): Superb - Very clean. 2 bedrooms for the price of one. Has a kitchen. There were no instructions on where to check-in. It took some time to find. There is no microwave, dishes or cutlery in the kitchen.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- June (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karin (9/5): It was a pleasant stay giving us a university campus experience. - The hotel was a bit of a surprise in that it turned out to be a university campus, rather than a 'conference center' as advertised, but it was clean and suited well enough, making us have the 'university living' experience. There was a lot of space, with a desk, of course, where you could work at, with a comfortable chair. The shower worked well, It was a pleasant experience, all in all. It was a bit disappointing that there was no microwave, although we did fine without one. You could not make a cup of tea or anything in the evening, if you wanted to, but we just did without that.
- Sylvie (10/5): - Quiet and clean
- Chandra (10/5): Loved it here! Will definitely stay here again! - It was super clean and the check in was easy and the staff was extremely friendly! It was nice and quiet and the beds were quite comfortable! The elevator sounds were really loud! It startled us cuz it seemed excessively loud. But we couldn’t hear them outside of the elevator area so it doesn’t really matter!
- Alexandre (9/5): Superb -
- Kyle (10/5): - The staff was so welcoming
Served by Sheena
Excellent customer service
- Chantale (4/5): - We had trouble getting there as there was construction. You have to check in one of the buildings, but then your room is in a different building, that the parking lot is a lot further from. I couldn’t barely understand what the check in host was saying. Not accessible to someone with limited walking distance. No carts to bring up your things. The building entrance door lock was broken. The room did not smell nice at all. The comforters looked dirty. For a quick nights sleep & no other things needed it’s fine. I won’t be staying here again though.
- Wyder (7/5): Good -
- Charles (10/5): - It was quiet, peacefully and above all affordable
- Debbie (6/5): It’s a college dorm - It was clean. I did not realize I was renting college dorm room
- Lennard (10/5): - Would definitely stay there again.
- Devin (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Stay in North bay - The price is absolutely on point and for that alone will be back. The cleanliness was ok as we found leftover food in the fridge. Outside of that it was clean.
- Roy (10/5): - It was ok just no tv
- Desta (9/5): Nice and quiet - Closest to the bus stop where to go to shop what you need. Nothing. No problems at all.
- CINDY (10/5): - Fun for our trip!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay. - Great place with lots of room. It was kind of confusing on where to check in. The person at the desk was extremely helpful. Very easy process.
- CLAIRE (8/5): - Easy to get to and served our need for a place to sleep.
- Peter (10/5): - Nice
- Desta (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Chung Hsian (10/5): - Bed a little bit small if for 2person
- Eric (10/5): - Every thing was excellent, it was perfect for a sleep over on a long drive, no tv but the price was right
- Mark (8/5): Enjoyable stay. - Pleasent perfect for our needs.
Staff was polite, prompt, professional. Had issue with the refrigerator,, fixed issue in minutes.
Will book again.
- Peter (10/5): - Excellent and pleasant place to stay
- Olive (9/5): Superb -
- M-jackie (8/5): Very good - Nice apartment with kitchen, clean and comfortable enough for a couple of days staying The bed is quite soft
- brian (6/5): - Great stay, great price, however pictures showed there was lots to do onsite, even the gym only had a treadmill: if these services are available to everyone staff needs to be made aware if it’s not shouldn’t advertise it.
- Peter (10/5): - Very clean,nice place to stay.
- Martin (6/5): - Il est facile de se stationner.
- Pamela (8/5): - Clean and good enough for a quick stay. The price was very good compared to other options in the area.
- Lou (8/5): Location worked well for a sporting event. - Easy to locate. No microwave.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olivia (10/5): - It was great for a one night stay!
- Jacquelyn (8/5): Very clean and met our needs very wel, would stay here again for sure. - The property was close to the area we needed to be.
Easy to find and lots of parking and very clean exterior.
Two bedrooms for what a double queen room at a cheap hotel was awesome as I was travelling with my 18 year old son.
A/C was nice and cold and could be controlled in the room.
Stove and full fridge were great to have. I would have liked a coffee maker and or kettle and a microwave.
It also didn’t occur to me that the kitchen would have nothing in it other than the fridge and stove…. I would have brought dishes/cutlery/pans etc from home…. But a trip to the dollar store and giant tiger solved the issue.
- Theresa (8/5): - Reasonably priced accommodation
- Maria (7/5): Convenient and affordable. - Didn't have breakfast
- Jayson and Cindy (6/5): - This was definitely a budget choice. The room was quite inexpensive and there are no amenities like a television or microwave oven though there is a fridge and stove so that could be a plus. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. My biggest issue was that the front door security locks did not work so it was easy for anyone to access the building without a key. And the biggest concern was that I shared the floor with a large group of people possibly Part of a team. They were noisy both nights having open door conversation, conversations between rooms and walking up and down, talking quite loudly until 3 or 4 in the morning. I did call the front desk and believe someone attended, but it did nothing to quieten the other guests. So, in the end, I didn’t get a great sleep.
- Navin (10/5): Exceptional -

- Franck (8/5): Very good - Great value for price It’s not a 4-star hôtel 😅
- Kashif (7/5): Good - Great location, clean rooms.
- Happytravelling (9/5): Great staying place with great value for money. - Great location on the northwest edge of the city, closer to great hiking trails, waterfall, nature, and a nearby shopping and eateries mall, though it is not in the centre of the city. The rooms and kitchen are spacious, though basic. Kitchen should have some basic pots and pans and utensils to use for cooking. Only bare kitchen is provided. That means you have to carry all kitchen utensils. Also there is no microwave, which could be handy to warm purchased food.
- Sarah (10/5): Awesome place - Location to the collage Parking was far from the door.
- Masomi (9/5): Superb -
- Don (10/5): A good find - A good find for an easy overnight. We had cooking supplies so the kitchenette was nice
- Al (8/5): - Stayed here many times before and always had a flawless experience. This time there was a minor glitch. The weather from 30c down to 18c and while the a/c was wonderful the heating not so much. On past stays I was able to engage the heating when necessary but this trip it appears they might have turned off the heating system and we were ccccold in the room.
