- Bruce (9/5): We had a great time visiting with the owner, and walking the beautiful paths around the neighborhood - Alexandria B&B was near a couple of very walkable footpaths. We were able to take a nice walk around the neighborhood to get a view of the waterfront. Very pleasant, with agreeable weather. Breakfast was served in the room, hand-delivered by the owner. She was friendly and welcoming. Great sense of humor. The entry to the property appeared to be in need of some TLC. Once we got into our room, everything seemed fine.

A very generous breakfast was delivered to us in the morning. Lovely, friendly host and hostess. I would recommend this B & B. The bed in our room was hard but everything else was lovely. There was a short walk from where the cars had to be parked to our room up the back of the main house which was not an issue for us.

- Resi (9/5): Well worth considering as a base to explore this part of the world. - The views out to the garden and rolling hills of nearby farms was a real treat. Just out of town made for a quiet stay but still close enough to grab supplies. Rachel and Andy are wonderful hosts, and I thoroughly enjoyed the chats with Rachel each day she delivered my breakfast to my room.

Close to local dining options and a quiet relaxing setting. Breakfast was brought to our unit and was very appetizing. Close to the tulip farm (well worth a look). Everything was spot on, will stay here again when we are in this region of Tassie.

- Donna (1/5): Uncomfortable due to the owner - Location The lady that owns the property called and was very argumentative and abusive. We had checked in for our daughter at 4.30pm she called at 8.30pm saying no one had checked in. She didn’t give the breakfast as we had t checked in on time - when I advised that we had spoken to her husband, been shown the room and had been explained where to enter the premises etc, the owner claimed this didn’t count and we hadn’t checked in. I wouldn’t recommend this property with this owner to anyone. Nobody needs to be spoken to in that manner. Our daughter, husband and two babies would have stayed anywhere else but everywhere was booked out. That should have been our first clue. On the other hand The Wynyard Waterfront was an absolute pleasure to stay at. Choose wisely!

We booked the Tulip Room located in the garden - it was spotlessly clean and very coimfortable. Breakfast was delicious - we opted to have continental breakfast (cooked breakfasts were available). She had good information about the local area. being on the edge of town, yet close to the centre, made this quiet place ideal for us. Having breakfast served in our room was a bonus. No comment.

- Kate (10/5): The property is beautiful, quiet, welcoming and very friendly. Just what we hoped for. - Firstly, when arriving the host Andy was very friendly and helpful. We didn't meet Rachael until the next morning when she delivered our breakfast to the table in our room. She is lovely and great for a chat. Nothing seemed a chore even though they take care of most things themselves, work and have two gorgeous kids, Thomas and Evie. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone in the future. The room was large with ensuite and all the amenities that might be needed. The stay was so relaxing. It is fabulous and the actual house is beautiful. Everything was a treat, not a problem at all.

The unit was very spacious and comfortable, with great views of the river from the well kept extensive gardens. The hostess was very friendly and informative. The town of Wynyard is very well presented and interesting. Breakfast was very well presented to our unit and was a great start to the day. Would definitely stay here again. Handy location to visit the tulip farm at table cape. We could not fault the property
