Guest Reviews
- Juliana (8/5): Overall a very pleasant stay, but it was still an 1hr 20. Min drive to cradle mountain n the roads to n fro very dark n - The kitchen was well stocked w cooking equipments, very spacious with a dining hall n den to watch tv- tho we spent time in room n kitchen Too much wood furniture-antique to some, abit dated feel for me.
Strict rules and Fine imposed for not cleaning up so we dare not eat in the dining area lest we mess it up/ drip on the carpets lol.

- Christine (1/5): Worst night of sleep ever! Do your research before you stay. - It was close to Trowunna wildlife park and the views were nice. We stayed in Cabin 3
The bed was the worst I have ever slept on, it was as hard as a rock as the matress was over 30 years old after checking. The lounge was even worse and it would have been more comfortable to sleep on the floor.
There was a family of possums on the roof from sun down to sun up and I didn't get any sleep at all with all the banging and noise. I understand it's rural and the possums cannot be controlled but it was horrific with the noise they made all night.
When I requested a refund for the 2nd night we had booked as I could not stay another night without sleep and I couldnt sleep on that bed again and wake up in so much pain that I could hardly walk and I had to take pain medication. When I called the owner he refused claiming the bed was not a good enough reason for a refund and they have had the beds for years and no one else has complained.
The cabins are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as the steps are quite steep and jagged and you also need to be careful when taking your bags up the steps as mine unfortunately were scratched very badly on the stairs from the jagged rocks.
In closing I have been in Tassie on holiday for over 1 week and stayed at many places here and all were lovely, clean and comfortable but unfortunately this was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any accommodation.
- Janine (10/5): Tranquil lovely place to stay. -
- Mänd (10/5): Peaceful getaway in beautiful Mole Creek - Stayed at Mole Creek Cabins for one night and absolutely loved it. The cabin was cosy, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful scenery — exactly what I needed for a relaxing getaway. Everything felt clean, comfortable, and well looked after, and the atmosphere was so quiet and calming.
It’s one of those places where you instantly feel at home and don’t want to leave. I already know I’ll be coming back again in the future. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful stay in Tasmania!
- michelle (10/5): Gorgeous country retreat ! - Fantastic relaxing stay in a country retreat ! Comfortable, warm house with everything needed for a great base to explore the surrounding area. Gorgeous views over farmland. The hosts had the air conditioner on to have the house warm for our arrival - much appreciated. Plenty of firewood for the open fire in the lounge.
The house is set over several levels. Nothing - lived this wooden house.

- Lee (10/5): Very relaxing - Everything
- Joanna (8/5): - Good cabin with good facilities in nice area, reasonably accessible for Cradle Mountain walking. It was pretty cold, even with heating on
- Kristy (9/5): Great Place to stay - The layout of the cabin was great. It was very clean. Wish we could have stayed longer.. The bed was a bit hard.
- Lorraine (8/5): Very central to lots of interesting sites. - Well equipped kitchen.
Good views
Good heating and cooling.
Great pub food nearby Some road noise
Stools not chairs
Bench seating not very comfortable
A very firm bed 🤷🏼♀️

- Jennifer (10/5): ❤️❤️❤️ - Excellent everything you want in the cabin great mountain views mole creek supermarket n pub 5 min down rd Zero
- Keith (10/5): Stayed one night only but definitely would consider staying again for longer to explore the area - Really great accomodation with everything you would need
- Mischelle (8/5): - Lovely and quiet with lovely views.
- Tricia (10/5): - We loved our time at the cabins, which have been thoughtfully renovated since our last stay 9 years ago. Our cabin was a perfect size for us and it was great to be able to cook dinner while looking out at the Great Western Tiers, and then spend time on the verandah in the evening watching the sky change. One of our favourite places in Tasmania. The cabin was very clean and all furnishings of a high quality. Communication with the owner was excellent. Right next door to Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary, not far from the caves and a great spot from which to explore Mole Creek and neighbouring towns. Nothing - it was perfect for us
- Cindy (9/5): Cosy cabin for a little getaway! - The chalet was very charming and very cosy! Heaps of blankets + electric blankets to keep you warm. Kitchen was well stocked compared to what you get at service apartments - perfect for making a home cooked meal.
Closest main town is about a 15-20 min drive + about 1 hr 20 min drive from Cradle Mountain The pipes would sometimes make noises (not disruptive however) and the walls were thin, so beware if you are noisy
- Ch00klady (9/5): - Mole Creek Cabins offered a comfortable stay with magnificent views over farmland and mountains - we particularly enjoyed sitting on the verandah in the morning and late afternoon, enjoying the landscape changing as the sun rose or set. The cabin was spacious and well equipped with a little kitchen, breakfast bench and outdoor seating. Laundry facilities were also available on site.
The cabins are right next door to the wildlife park and near a multitude of walks in beautiful rainforest (though out of town and you do need a car to go anywhere). This was a perfect location for our last night in Tassie as the airport was only an easy 1 hr drive away, which allowed us to enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful countryside right until the last minute. Just be aware that the cabins are a fair way out of town and you need a car to go anywhere.
- Kim (8/5): Affordable accommodation. Clean and comfortable. - Compact but clean and good value. A little out of town.
- Pankaj (10/5): - The house is fantastic with everything you need.
- Matthew (8/5): -
- Melanie (10/5): -
- Rachel (9/5): We had a lovely short stay but this is a place I could see myself staying for a week just to relax and unwind. Friendly - Family friendly, comfortable and a lovely place to relax. Views for days Nothing of note to list here
- Ricky (10/5): Just what we wanted - It was so quiet and neat and tidy beautiful surrounded by nature and an amazing view right on the balcony.
The torch being in the room was a real hit with the kids for spotting animals at night I liked everything nothing negative about the place
- Andrew (9/5): Great place to stay for access to Cradle Montain - Great view of mountains, well equipped and well positioned Nothing to dislike
- Adrian (9/5): Too short. Next time we will book ahead for longer - Scenery Shower
- Narendra (9/5): Peaceful place. - Cosy and well equiped cabin.
- Miranda (9/5): - Beautiful scenery, very comfortable cabins with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Nothing
- Jennie (10/5): - The cabin was toasty warm and had everything we needed. The setting, adjacent to bush and farmland was lovely and very atmospheric with the low cloud on the mountains.

- Allen (9/5): We enjoyed it - We liked the peace and quiet.
We could access milk, etc ourselves without having to ask

It was well equipped to make our own food and we loved that there were games, recommendations for hikes and places to eat. Comfortable beds and the place was very clean. -
Ingen kommentar
- Alison (10/5): Fantastic hosts, view was sublime , cute clean warm well appointed cabin. Totally recommend the place and the area. - Fantastic view, very cute, comfortable, clean warm cabin Nothing at all
- cinzia (10/5): A wonderful location and great owners. - What a lovely place to stay in. The cabin was cosy just what we wanted after a day checking out the area.
The cabin had everything we needed and the owners were fantastic. Friendly and helpful. We had a Tesla and we were able to top up our battery using our home charger cable. That was very useful and unexpected. Typical of the kindness of the owners. Nothing
- Kath S (9/5): - Kitchen was great and had great equipment
- Paul (9/5): - Lovely, comfortable, clean and well-equipped cabin. Short drive to 'town'. Next door to a worthwhile wildlife sanctuary. I used as a base for day hike in Walls of Jerusalem Careful of the logging trucks when turning right!
