Guest Reviews
- Barbara (10/5): Nice location, good value for money perfect for a quick get away. - It was in a great location, very comfortable and perfect for a quick stay. Overall everything was as expected.
Nulla
- John (8/5): It was perfect. I had to find suitable accommodation in a hurry and I was lucky this was available - The location was outstanding right outside the bus stop, not very far from most of the tourist sites and Roma Termini. The breakfast was coffee and a cake at a nearby cafe. It was just enough to start your day. Nothing that comes to mind.
- Elena (10/5): Roma sei veramente la città eterna !!! - In realtà tutto! Posizione struttura anni ‘20…pulizia e la proprietaria veramente carina e disponibile
- Orlovskyy (8/5): -
- ELENA (10/5): - Posizione ottima.
- marianna (1/5): -
- Ivan (9/5): - Posizione eccezionale, staff molto cortese

- Ingvar (7/5): -
- Valerie (9/5): Great value for short stay - Luisa the host is so lovely.Large comfortable double bedroom with balcony..TV and A/C.
Pillows were very comfortable..like memory foam.
Location is about 25min walk to train station.Feels very safe area even walking alone.Breakfast is across the road...you get a voucher for coffee and a pastry. The shower over the tiny bath....handheld shower hose, a bit awkward!
- marco (6/5): -
- Francesco (10/5): Assolutamente perfetto - Posizione fantastica, camera e bagno pulitissimi e proprietaria gentilissima
- ALFONSO (9/5): -
- Heather (10/5): - The owner was so lovely, flexible and accommodating. The location is perfect and walkable. The room was lovely with a balcony and a beautiful view, highly recommend
- Matteo (9/5): -
- Jonathan (10/5): A small & spotless B&B - Luisa runs a tight ship but is super nice. The B&B is small/intimate and spotless. 5th floor, quiet, and good a/c. Great value for budget travelers. The Metro is 25min walk, so you should plan on getting to know the busses. Google maps is pretty good but not 100%
- Tuấn Vũ (7/5): - Location is great A lot of requirement need to follow, espeasially need to keep silent from 8pm - 6am
0% recomendable
- Marco (9/5): -
- Mahmoud (10/5): Exceptional - How Luisa dealt with the situation was very good, as the check in time isn’t clear in booking so she managed to leave the keys to me and was very flexible
- Raj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hassan (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel receptionist, Luisa, was very kind and waited for me until 8pm for my late check-in.. The room was OK but the air conditioning was the best part it in the hot weather of Rome. A little noise of street and strange elevator!
- Kakhadze (3/5): Poor -
- Stefano (10/5): Stefano's stay at the Angels of Rome - The comfortable bed and I enjoyed the breakfast. The lift was hysterical and historical and I'm missing it already. The bath was a little too high to get into, maybe a handrail would help. The floor of the bathtub was slippery. I had to be careful when I showered.
- Petr (9/5): Superb -
- Astrid (8/5): Very good -
- Arlen (8/5): Very good -
- Alex (7/5): Good -
- Cortes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynne (8/5): Very good - The room was comfortable and clean. The location was a little out of the way, but buses stopped right in front so getting around was easy. The bathroom facilities were also clean and well maintained. A refrigerator and microwave were available. The street noise was loud and I could hear a lot of noise (talking) inside the building. This didn’t bother me much as I was exhausted at the end of the day. All noise subsided after about 10 pm.
- Pablo (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, excellent host.
- Mazen (8/5): Very good -
- Darian (10/5): Generous hospitality in a gorgeous neighborhood! - The BnB is on the top floor of a well-maintained and accessible palazzo a few blocks from the Villa Borghese. I'd never stayed in this neighborhood before and was completely charmed by its gorgeous buildings, relaxed vibe, and proximity to these impeccable gardens. The 92 bus stops just below the palazzo, and in 10 minutes, you can either arrive to or from Termini station. All very easy!
Luisa, the host, was beyond kind and accessible. She had plenty of suggestions for things to do and economical transport, and was generally very nice to talk to! She was also very responsive in providing me with documentation of my expenses, as I was travelling for work.
My room was large, had a comfortable bed with clean linens, and ample space to store my things (had I stayed for more than one night). The space was quiet and peaceful; the BnB was secure. The shared bathroom was clean and easily accessed. I never had to wait.
The reservation comes with breakfast at a bar across the street: a delicious pastry and a cappuccino.
I'll definitely reserve this place again when I'm transiting through Rome for work or there for a longer visit!
Grazie mille, Luisa! Everything was perfect!
- Susi58 (9/5): Superb - It was super clean and the host waited for me 2h because my train was delayed The street outside was quite loud
- Abdullmunam (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice staff.
- Francesco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jorge (1/5): Racist place - The owner insulted me from the moment I arrived, calling me a liar, a thief, rude and among many other insults, the most racist place I have ever been to, I do not recommend it at all, I had a very bad time
- Henna (9/5): Henna - Luisa was really nice and checking on how I'm doing and how's everything going on!
I loved the room with a beautiful balcony view to Via Po! It was also nice to be out of tourist zones! I was exploring and enjoying the area around and there were really nice places to enjoy! More local place's. Really close to Villa Borghese which is definitely something to check!
The bathroom and toilet area were clean and nice. Also I was really happy there was a fridge in the common area! I didn't realize when booking that you can only check in between 11am-1pm which didn't work for me but Luisa (owner/hostess) fixed someone to come later. I just had to pay him for his trouble.
Also I wish there would be hand soap in the bathroom.
- Verified traveler (6/5): A special little place - A special little place. Nothing fancy at all. Not bad per say but read the information well through before booking to avoid misunderstandings.
For instance, check-in only available between 11-13 (11AM to 1PM) later check-in was denied (and no refund available) so we had to re-book our flight.
There is 5 rooms and one bathroom to share, we thought we had our own bathroom, but was not a problem in the end. We never ran into the other guest. It also says breakfast is available but apparently you have too book that as well, so we found some nice cafes instead, so it was all good in the end.
It is a bit far from the nearest Metro Station, but very well connected with busses so transport to and from downtown (or Termini station) is not a problem.
In short, a special little place, not what we expected (probably our own fault for not reading all the information properly) but it did not ruin our trip. It's a place we will remember for good and bad. In the end, we had an amazing week in Rome.
- Kaylee (1/5): Bad - All the negative reviews are true. I didn't check the reviews before I booked which was so stupid of me. If you see this and still decide to book it, well good luck to you cause you are gonna need LOTS OF it
(10/5): Exceptional - I love this place a lot. The host is an amazing woman, the room is beautiful, and the entire apartment is clean and well-maintained. The location is incredibly convenient with supermarkets, bars, clubs, and a beautiful neighborhood nearby. Breakfast options at the corner bar are great, with coffee and croissants to choose from. Highly recommended!
- Grc92 (1/5): Horrible. This is a scam – check the Google Reviews! - This is a SCAM! Please read visitors' reviews here: https://shorturl.at/uIMO4. Read the property owner's responses as well, and you'll get a clear idea of what you're getting yourself into.
Most horrendous hospitality experience in my life! The owner is SO RUDE and agressive. Despite my non-refundable full payment, she cancelled my stay on Booking.com to prevent me from leaving a review.
If you're looking for an affordable property in Rome, check the monasteries. They're very clean, very quiet, most of them don't have curfews and *most importantly* staff won't scam you there. Stay away from this place! The owner of this property harasses you non-stop by phone, WhatsApp and emails; she threatens you, makes false accusations against visitors in order to extort them. She also refused to let me in at the arrival time I had clearly indicated when placing my booking (and which she agreed to) *unless* I paid her extra.
As you can see from all the Google Reviews (here: https://shorturl.at/uIMO4), this is a scam that has been going on for years.
No wonder she doesn't allow free cancellation even months ahead of your stay.
- Alina (5/5): It's bearable if you choosing by staying on the street or sleep under roof. Otherwise - wish i'll never come bac - Location, nice building, good wi-fi. The furniture is old and had seen a lot, the smell of dust always stayed in the room, the floors that you can't step on barefooted and its just bad vibe. Shared bathroom was okay, but owner didn't care even about soap inside. So if you are staying more than one night - you better buy some shampoo & shower gel, cuz they give you two tiny packs of some liquid but i used one of it just by washing my hands 😅 Next - owner Luisa comes every morning around 8:30-9:00 and start to clean commune facilities (thank you) but while doing that she speaks SO LOUD by the phone so deaf could hear it. So you waking up whether you want it or no. There's tiny kitchen & microwave - all dirty as hell, so i used plastic forks instead of normal one cuz they are obviously don't care to wash it carefully. All they care is money and you check out at 9:00 sharp. Didn't feel myself safe, welcomed and at least comfortable.
- Alina (5/5): Passable -
- Bianca (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (9/5): Perfect for short staying and good value for money - The place was very clean and I could rest well. The room was small but cosy and with everything I needed. Luisa let me know everything I needed and she was very helpful. The place is smack in a lovely neighborhood where there are plenty of good restaurants, cafés and other businesses. The breakfast is included and you can have it at a nearby café. WiFi is available and it worked with no glitches. It was a bit further away than I expected from the clinic I need to go to. But it was still at walking distance, so I was ok at the end. The bed was a bit too hard for my liking, but besides that everything was perfect.
- Raphael (3/5): Although a good service, I will not return due to many other reasons. - The bathroom was always clean. I received a complimentary breakfast voucher at the corner bar. The site has good access by bus. More positive points I can not find. Place was not tidy as in the photos to receive guests. Air conditioning is charged per day at check-in. Furniture covered by cloths, that is, not at all comfortable. Place doesn't smell good. Horrible checkin time. It is necessary to pay an additional fee to check in at another time.
- Samaneh (7/5): Good -
- Adam (6/5): Pleasant - Great location, clean room and bathroom. Check in system. Their check in is only till 13 pm. I had to pay 40 EUR extra for checking in at 7.30 pm.
Check out is very early too.
Room is small, and you can hear every noise from the corridor.
- Yip (1/5): Bad - Nothing All. The owner was extremely inhospitable.
- Darren (1/5): Troubling - I DO NOT recommend staying at this property. The early check in time is very inconvenient so you basically must pay cash in order to enter the property, which I suspect is a tactic to exploit guests as much as possible. The host (who I think lives in one of the rooms) was very unfriendly by shouting aggressively and threatened to call the police for “slamming” doors. We left the room in great condition and she falsely accused us of breaking a mirror with again the threat of involving authorities. There is a tense, sinister atmosphere. Yes the property is called “Angels in Rome” but “Hell in Rome” would be more appropriate.
- Joel (4/5): Disappointing -
- Olga (9/5): Superb - Perfect location, very positive administrator, clean
- Taira (1/5): The owner of the place behavior was horrible - - First of all, I want to say - don’t stay at Angel in Rome!
Absolutely astonishing horrible stay!
I booked an apartment in March. Two days before my flight I informed the owner again that my plane is landing at 8 PM. The owner replied with the explanation that check-in is only possible in the morning (11 AM – 1 PM) and therefore she will leave the keys in a nearby facility, BUT I have to take those keys before 9 PM, otherwise she will lock that place and leave for the outskirts of Rome. I spent an extra 60 Euros for a taxy to be able to take those keys on time. To my disappointment I found out that the lady never left the facility as I have met her in next early morning. Apparently she lives there and never leaves the facility at all!
There was an issue with the payment approval as well. I have booked the room, paid more than 600 Euros for the stay and was asked by the lady to provide some sort of approval. I was not sure what kind of approval is being asked from my side and she was not clear in explaining it to me. Since I was not sure what kind of approval she wants and she unable to explain me, what should I do, she stated, that if I will not approve the payment of 31.50 Euros I will be sleeping on the street the first night. Well, this was already a huge red flag… After calling to bank and later Booking.com support I was informed that I simply have to write “I approve”! The one could have thought that she was purposely not explaining me such a simple thing… Anyway, let`s move further…
So I managed to take the keys on time after my arrival and (of course) it was very cold in the room at night so I slept with my clothes on. Naturally, the next morning I asked the owner for a heater (because I saw one standing in the lobby). The owner was not coherent with her answers: at first she said it`s only for cold air, but later said she said for an extra payment I can use it to heat up my room (?!). Extra payment for a heater?! Money was not the biggest issue, however, b
- Alexander (8/5): Very good -
- Alena (8/5): Very good -
- Ana (10/5): overall, really good experience. The host Luisa is very welcoming, and always available to help. The house was always ke - great location, always clean and other guests very respectful nothing
- Sofía (9/5): Superb - Luisa was super kind all the time. She let me stay more time for the check out because I wasn't feeling well.
Everything was really clean, the water in the shower has great, bed comfortable.
The price was great.
I would definitely go again.
- Ka (7/5): Good - The room is clean and the staff (the lady) is very nice. The sound isolation is not quite good that it’s easy to be disturbed/to disturb others even it’s just normal behaviours such as taking shower, boiling water or drying hair using hair dryer
- Mozimul (7/5): Good -
- Gozde (1/5): The worst host ever! - Nothing First of all, please read all the bad reviews before book a room from this place. You can understand the real face of the host. When they dont like anything about the guests, they start lying and do really bad stuff .
I wanted to do later check in and it was not possible and the host was not helpful. But it was not the issue I changed my flight and I was able to check in on time. And I told them let's start our relationship in a nice way I want to enjoy my stay in your place . But when I went there for check-in, she was so rude. I will not give all the details, because if it is too long , will be hard for people to follow.
1) she asked my friends documents I waited my friend to send it to me for couple of minutes and provided our IDs to her .-Now she is lying about it and telling booking.com I refused to give the documents but in the end I accepted . They have camera there she should send that conversation!
2) she asked the city tax . I wanted to leave my bag into room and then withdraw money ,because she wanted cash. She did not allow me . I still went downstairs withdraw money and paid immediately. -Now she is lying again and tells I refused to pay it. Again she should show the camera records.
3) I used the hairdryer in the night for 2 minutes in the bathroom. She complained about it and made the story like I was making noise I woke everyone up... But in reality they clean the hostel with vacuum cleaner 9 am in the morning.shut the doors at 7 am . These things are not problem but I used hairdryer and it was a problem.
4) this is the biggest one and I was actually speechless when I saw that . I still can't believe how someone can be this bad and a big liar. She accused us to steal the towels and the sheet. If you look at comments you can see she did it before to other guests and seeing the big potential on her we were prepeared for her lies and recorded a video before we check out .
- Rebecca (10/5): excellent stay !!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -
- Lora (1/5): Rude communication and threatened by police! - I chose the hotel because of its low price compared to the area it's in. The taxi driver had trouble finding it however I got there in the end. After booking a single night at the hotel, the staff informed me last minute of their inability to check me in at night (based on the time I specified through booking.com), and responded to my request of refund (to cancel my booking) with "you dont have to get a refund, contact booking".
Further, I was spoken to very rudly by the staff through WhatsApp, and threatened by being reported to the police when I mentioned that I will consider it in my review.
It's worth mentioning that the staff was nor able to differentiate 12pm from 12am.
The price of the property is good, but I wouldn't recomend unless you're very low on money.
- Angel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (6/5): Pleasant -
- Giovanna (8/5): Very good -
- Martha (9/5): Simple, but clean and optimal for seeing the city. - I had the smallest room. It was simple, but clean and comfortable. The is no breakfast within the hotel, but I got vouchers for a nearby café, which worked out well. The shared bathroom worked out surprisingly well. The best thing about the hotel is probably the location - there is a well-stocked supermarkt across the street and an apothecary right next it. The bustop right in front of the hotel and you can get around easily. Something I would have loved in my room: A small water cooker, just to make some tea or instant noodle soup for myself. They probably don't want to risk the fire hazard, but it would have been nice.
- Raul (10/5): excellent - the cleanness and the friendly staff, the bed was comfortable and the room had a great size Nothing
- Raul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Siyu (9/5): Superb -
- Georges (3/5): the Bathroom insufficienti ,inconveniente, room street noiosi, no service appropriate. -
- Josane (10/5): The best place to stay in Rome - An excellent place with an exceptional location. One of the best options to be in Rome with great comfort and a beautiful view from the room. I was treated well and attended to by the staff with everything I needed. I highly recommend it.
