Guest Reviews

- Sandra (4/5): - No availability for food conveniently, no tv, difficulty getting internet access
- Louise (10/5): We would stay here again - Lots of space 2 bed apartment for 3 nights cheaper than a hotel for 1 night.
Shower was hot, beds were comfy.
Pool table, ping pong table and fusball tables in common room.
- Sandra (10/5): - Perfect for what I needed
- Ranji (10/5): - In this price this was a excellent stay.
- Chelsey (10/5): - Great space for the price! Able to switch dates of booking easily by calling property. Super friendly and helpful staff. Just wish the kitchens had a few dishes.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Cutlery in room would be nice. Will stay again, love to support studentsđ¸đ¸
- Mark (10/5): - Itâs a college residence but big with AC. Easy to get to.
- Larry (10/5): Excellent staff - Thought the kitchen would have a few more amenities, like a spoon, bowl, or can opener
- Rebecca (10/5): - Great clean room. Exactly as described. On university campus so not near anything
, if you donât have a car. We had a car so was fine
- erin (8/5): Great value. Bring cooking supplies with you. - Great value. Simple yet clean accommodation. Be aware, though, that you must bring plates, cutlery, pots, pans, cups/glasses, sponge/dish cloth, dish towel, dish soap. Ironically, large and small appliances are available for cooking. Sadly, the facility does not recycle.
- David (10/5): - It is a nice place to stay,
- Nitesh (10/5): - Great stay
- Corrinne (4/5): - No elevators! Parking was a bit further out. Travelling with an elder was hard for my father to get around! Our room, the floors were crummy. It wasnât swept. We found a few paper - garbage on the table! No tv in my dadâs room. I had one but only one fuzzy channel. Phones didnât work.
- Judith (10/5): - Pleasant pair of rooms in a university residence. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom, convenient location.
- Corynna (8/5): - Love the idea of staying in a University Residence. Wish i knew of this before.
- Lorraine (2/5): - The person working the front desk wouldnât go ask the guys in the game room to move their cars that were in the handicap parking he made us go park guit a ways away and climb a hill when we are handicapped and need a cane to walk
- Vipulbhai (10/5): - The room was amazing.
- Vinodiniben (8/5): - Room space was good, parking space was limited
- Yaw (10/5): - Hospitality was great
- Roger (10/5): - Parfait pour moi Ă cette occasion.
- Duane (10/5): - It was a great price so I stayed there both on the going route and my return route
- Azat (10/5): - Everything was good. Nice and clean rooms. We did play table tennis and pool. Overall it was a pleasure vacation.
- randy (10/5): - Freindly staff
- Sherry (10/5): - The Residence was clean and comfortable.
- bo (10/5): - good price, nice room
- Gerda (6/5): - Clean. Less expensive.
I enjoy watching some TV in the evenings; however, they brought us one smallest TV in our room. It had only one available channel to watch.
- Balaram (6/5): - Didnât have tv and wifi
I guess price wise it was okay
- Liliana (10/5): - pleasantly surprised with accommodation: 2 good size bedrooms, each has a bed, desk along the wall, chair, shelves. Shared area had full size fridge with freezer compartment, double sink, microwave. The only thing would be nice to have a kettle or a coffee maker. Crispy clean bedding is like in the best hotels, washroom is spotless. Parking is a very short walk away. 24-hours reception. You get a key from the front door and a key from your room. I think there are a lot of games and TV, etc in the shared area on the first floor - I did not have time to use it. Close to the main roads, yet it is in a very nice and quiet area. Many places to get food are within a few minutes drive. I couldn't book Microtel with points, so decided not to spend too much money - this was really 5 times cheaper, but exceeded any expectations! It would be good for a family, or friends - anyone! I learned that they have properties in other cities as well - will be looking to book!
- Murtaza (6/5): - The rooms were satisfactory, however the room assigned was not cleaned and ready. The staff member was helpful in finding a room. Two rooms looked at were not made. Third room was found ready. It was late in the night and a bit frustrating
- John (10/5): - Very convenient and affordable for a quick stay
- NAJ (8/5): - Quiet location, has all the amenities.
- Angelle (10/5): - What an amazing idea to stay at a local college. The room was spacious, clean and just overall a great way to stay near family with your own space. Very affordable as well.
- Duane (8/5): - It was priced great and was ideal for my one night stay. Thanks
- Jason (2/5): - Smells funny cold
- Ian (6/5): - Itâs a college dorm, clean but not overly comfortable, brick walls hard floors no coffee machine in room. Itâs a bed at a low price.
- Angel (6/5): - Facilities were clean in the most part. Fridge had crumbs in the bottom, and drain in bathtub had a clog, so took 10-15 mins to drain. Fan in bathroom is noisy, and on a sensor, so you couldnât turn it off⌠it would turn on in the middle of the night even if you didnât turn on the light. Glass block âwindowâ in kitchen let light in from the hall all night⌠so bedroom door must be kept closed, or else you had a light shining on your face all night. Window blinds are not darkening, so be prepared to wake up with the sun. Minimal parking close by, so other option was to park down a steep hill (in the dark and pouring rain).
Otherwise room was clean, linens freshly laundered, and bed quite comfortable. Nice lounge area on main floor with tv, pool table and video games.
All in all, it was a clean place to sleep flr the price. It was worth the value, and a great option if youâre on a budget.
- scott (8/5): - Nice hotel near college
- Joshua (8/5): Good value - Clean, spacious, affordable. No-frills room.
- Melanie (2/5): - No A/C; had to bring bags upstairs; Not a fun spot.
- Ronald (8/5): - Bedroom lock was not working properly I got trapped inside But caretaker came asap when I informed her and opened it for me. I had to sland a chair on the door all the time to keep the door not to get closed.
- Ahmedul Kabir (10/5): - Everything was as expected !!!
Speacial thanks to brother Yaseen for the excellent behavior!
- Karla (8/5): - Simple and clean. Great for a family.
- Theresa (4/5): - There was no signs to indicate where to register when driving up . This is a French college. Hardly no signage in English. . We walked many halls and found some students, where they showed us where to go. Got there and no one was in sight. Called the number on Expedia and it rang and rang across from me through the other side of the glass. Seen another review saying the bed felt like you were sleeping on a boxspring. We checked it out and turns out the bed was flipped over and reaked of urine. It was awful. Parking lot was full so we had to park down at an empty lot. Walked up a big hill with all our suitcases. Room smelled like cigarettes. This would be a nice college if grass was kept up. Price was right tho. Will not come here again.
- Greg (10/5): Excellent value - Excellent value, no tv, but two comfortable beds, lots of room and quiet. Friendly staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The prize was good and rooms (student accommodation) were very spacious
- Harvick (8/5): - Only 7 parking spots. Itâs first come first park basis. If all spots are occupied, then parking is available downhill.
- James L (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, convenient location, and very reasonably priced.
- Lori (6/5): - Exactly what our family of 4 needed at the right price. Laundry facilities, communal kitchen, a large place (common room) for the kids to play and watch TV at early hours in the morning and separate bedrooms so the adults can sleep :)
- Niran (8/5): - Nice, clean and quiet budget accommodation.
- Sylvia (6/5): - Still not super clear for directions on where the residence is. There is limited parking close to checkin. If you donât mind climbing a hill to get to the entrance youâll like the convenient price
- DAVID (2/5): - Well booked this on Travelocity then discovered when I got there it was the Residence of the local College. The bed I'm pretty sure was actually just a box spring. Central Air for the entire place was just below my window. Absolutely no curtain on the shower, that was different lol. And of course students drunk out in the hall yelling until 3am.
- Kat (10/5): - I liked that it's literally college dorm rooms so the two beds were in private rooms. I didn't like the lack of parking
- Sebastien (10/5): - Great staff and fast check in/out
- Niran (8/5): - Very good for budget travel. Clean accommodation and friendly staff. Main parking not too far from property.
- Dorothy (2/5): - Called and called. No one answers a supposedly 24 hr residence
- Bryan (6/5): - No coffee
- Raisa (10/5): - Great place
- scott (8/5): - Its a good place
- Salvatore (6/5): - It didn't feel like a hotel staying.
- Christina (6/5): - PLEASE put up signs to indicate where the residence hotel is, there is a general lack of signage at this campus. Had to call desk for help. Or issue a map of the property with the reservation communications indicating location.
- William (10/5): - Economical and excellent value
- scott (8/5): - It is a good place to seek in.
- Freduah (8/5): - They should make sure the rooms are clean and ready before guests arrive. One of the rooms had flies on the floor and table. I let the staff know about.
- scott (8/5): - It is ok to sleep there
- MANU (10/5): - Excellent value for money. The only comment I have is they need to provide better directions to find the exact location of front desk.
- scott (8/5): - It is in cool shape
- scott (8/5): - It is near a couple. In an ok way to sleep well
- scott (8/5): - In good shape to leak in the hotel
- scott (8/5): - Its a great place to stay inside.
- BJ (10/5): - Everything looks great! Very pleased with the two rooms that my sister and I got. Great accommodations for a great price.
- Jesse (10/5): - The students who run the office are doing a great job very professional and in a very understandable way of explanation.
- Adrian (10/5): - Very good for the price. Make sure you bring your own plates and cutlery.
- Sharell (10/5): - It was nice. No stores nearby but the buses are reliable
- Faye (8/5): - Itâs a student dorm, so if youâre just looking for a bed for the night, it has all the basics you need. Room is clean and parking is available.
- JENNA (10/5): - Nice and clean! I hope the property can be strict on the parking. I noticed that people parked on the fire line, No Parking and Disabled Parking areas. One morning my car was blocked in and I had to wait long time to get it out.
- CAROLYN (8/5): Price & comfort great IF you bring needed extras ! - Finding dorm building was difficult as signs were very small and in French only. Parking by building limited to 6 spots. Main parking is at bottom of long steep hill. I would have liked a heads up about that as I am over 60 with disabilities. While student staff was bilingual errors in communication did occur. I WAS DENIED lowest price hotel club guarantee and charged price at time of booking not price day of arriving which was $20 a night cheaper. Upon arrival neither the TV cable nor room phone (I have no cell phone) was hooked up and had to be done that evening. Air conditioning under control of building not guest so rooms were too hot/humid. Bedrooms have no bedside tables to put a box of kleenex or eye glasses on, and therefore no lamps for reading in bed at night. Great kitchen and bathroom. The beds are very comfortable with lots of drawer storage underneath. Despite deficiencies if I were staying in town 3 or more nights I would stay there again knowing what extra things to bring to compensate for problems (like plastic end table, lamp and fan) and knowing now how to get there.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had a great stay here - what would make it even better is if there were Keurig or similar coffee systems for the guests to use, either in rooms or central area. Otherwise everything is just as good as most other types of accommodations. I would most definitely stay here again
- Sara (8/5): - We enjoyed having 2 bedrooms. Staff was kind and thoughtful. It was a peaceful place to go for an early morning walk.
- Janeil (6/5): - A stark contrast to the property in North Bay. Bugs, dirty, noisy. I had to ask for wireless information. Cold.
- Jun (10/5): - Overall this place is very good. One thing needs to improve is the quality of the mattress.
- Chaojin (10/5): - Good
- Freduah (10/5): Excellent accommodation - The rooms were spacious and very clean. Staff were very professional. I would suggest that they inform customers that the doors to the individual rooms close behind and the main door key is not able to open.
- Guido (6/5): - There is very little parking at the front door.
I had to leave very early the next morning and someone parked halfway across the front of my car in a no parking zone.
No one was parked beside me so I was able to get out but the other car parked on my other side could not.
- Olena (10/5): - We liked staying very much! Thanks!
- Resbin (2/5): - No privacy for the guest.
- albert (6/5): - The bed could have been more comfortable as well as plastic cutlery and plates and napkins in the room but satisfied overall. I would go there again.
- Dominic (10/5): - Great price. Clean. Friendly staff. Quick to fix any issues with room or switch rooms. Little parking near entrance. Additional parking 5 minute walk, up hill.
- Robert W (10/5): - It was a college dorm. Nothing was around for food. Overall is was a good choice and would stay again
- Vitali (8/5): - In general I liked the place. Still, there is room for improvement. First, the air conditioner was too loud and no way to turn it off. We did not need it, since it was not hot and we opened windows, but it stubbornly refuse to shut off and made it hard to fall asleep. I noticed a spider in my room - no big deal, but I'd rather have a room without insects. Parking was a bit weird: the parking lot in front of the main entrance was too small, and the staff suggested I park in the disabled parking stop, and when I felt hesitant suggested to use a bigger parking lot far away from the entrance. They need to be more reassuring about parking as most people like me were trained to avoid disabled parking. Finally, when I came to check out there was no one at the front desk, only a message that the staff will be there between 15 to 30 minutes. I needed to catch a ferry and had no time to waste and there was no way to call them, so I got worried, but luckily someone came shortly. I feel there either has to be a bell to call someone OR have a key drop box. Other than that my stay there was enjoyable!
- Jay (6/5): Dorm room - I should read the description closer. It's a college dorm. Mattress was poor. No TV, pretty sure I read somewhere there is a TV but no, there's not. Very clean room.
- Ryan (10/5): - A convenient and enjoyable place to stay for our crew. Great value :)
