• Alexis (10/5): - We had such a great experience at Under Canvas Moab! The view was amazing, and the staff was wonderful and very informal, which made the whole stay feel relaxed and welcoming. I stayed in the Stargazer tent and the clear night sky was beautiful. It did get pretty chilly at night, and I had to get up a few times to make sure the fire didn’t go out, but honestly it was all part of the off-the-grid experience. Overall, it was a unique and memorable stay that we really enjoyed!

Knowing the entire property runs on solar power made it even better…knowing you’re not leaving a heavy footprint on the beautiful landscape. The shared bathrooms were spotless — clearly well-maintained around the clock. The views were stunning with red rock stretching in every direction by day, and at night a wall-to-wall canvas of stars. Every one of the staff was so kind and made our stay just wonderful. They gave us everything we needed to have a special weekend. Our room was very clean and cozy. The GM Jacob was especially helpful and even helped my girlfriend and I with an itinerary for things to do while there. This was our first time staying at an Under Canvas but it will definitely not be our last. Thank you so much to everyone who made the trip so memorable for us both!

• Sacha (8/5): - Beautiful setting and a truly enjoyable stay. We loved the location, surrounded by the canyon and just a short drive from Moab. The views were stunning, especially at sunset. The tent itself was very well designed, with a great aesthetic and a cosy interior. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere in the evening — the campfire, games, and roasting marshmallows made it a fun and memorable experience. The main issue was the noise from the nearby main road, which made it harder to fully enjoy the calm and immersion we were expecting from a tent stay. We were also a bit disappointed by the heating system. The wood stove is quite basic and doesn’t maintain heat throughout the night. Visiting in late March, temperatures dropped significantly, and despite starting with a warm tent, it became very cold after just an hour. A more consistent heating solution (like a regulated gas heater) would make a big difference for comfort. The shower setup was also a bit inconvenient — getting hot water was not very straightforward, and having to continuously pull on the chain to keep the water running made the experience less enjoyable, especially considering the price and after a really cold night.

The location is stunning, with easy access to the surrounding landscape while still feeling intentional and well laid out. The canvas tents are clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with quality bedding and linens that make it easy to settle in. The overall environment strikes a nice balance between rustic and refined. Amenities are a strong point—inviting lounge areas, games, and live music create a relaxed, communal atmosphere without feeling crowded. The grab-and-go food and snacks are convenient, and the coffee is genuinely good (not always a given in remote locations). The communal BBQs are a great touch and encourage an easy, social flow to the evenings. Staff stands out: consistently friendly, helpful, and engaged without being intrusive. The only minor drawback is the proximity to the highway—you can hear some road noise at times. That said, it doesn’t meaningfully detract from the overall experience. Net: a well-executed, comfortable, and memorable stay. Worth recommending.
• maeliadavis (10/5): Fantastic Family Reunion at Under Canvas Moab - We had 18 family members at Under Canvas for Spring Break. What a fantastic experience! The folks that work the front desk at the Reception tent are knowledgeable and helped us strategize hikes, restaurants and swimming holes. Our tent was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Layers of blankets and duvets to keep you warm and lots of extras. They bring by charging blocks to keep your lanterns and fans charged (for those with sleep machines, they give you a huge charging block that powers it). No wifi so be prepared to completely disconnect. Each night we had s’mores by the firepits and there was live music two nights. One morning they even delivered yoga mats to the Flat Rock area of the camp for us to to sunrise yoga. This is not for those who want luxurious hotel type stay. Most tents do not have bathrooms so make sure you book carefully. No blow dryers. No lotion, but shampoo/conditioner/shower gel provided. We booked the stargazer tent for ourselves which has a bathroom in it and it was wonderful.

The site amenities were great too, like the common area grills and evening smores. However, sleep was challenging for the two of us. The site is very close to busy US-191, which has semi traffic all night. We had to use noise cancelling airpods with white noise to drown it out. If it weren't for the close proximity to the highway, I would give Under Canvas Moab 5 starts. Would consider staying at a different Under Canvas location.

What an incredible Moab experience! - Nestled perfectly between Canyonlands and Arches National Park, the atmosphere felt like a warm embrace from the red rock landscape—paired with truly genuine service from the staff. Our tent exceeded all expectations, complete with a shower and an iron‑cask fireplace that made all the difference when the nighttime cold rolled in. Everything was spotless, and we really appreciated the high‑quality bathroom amenities and plentiful potable water. A huge thank‑you to Sydney for the warm welcome and for making sure we had everything we needed. We loved the facilities, and the nighttime s’mores were such a treat. It was also wonderful to have convenient snacks, sandwiches, and noodle cups available for purchase. The “Painting the Starry Night” activity was an absolute highlight. And I almost forgot to mention—the dark sky at night was magical. Millions of stars, with the moon sitting side‑by‑side with Jupiter, created a breathtaking scene. We stayed up almost all night watching it from inside the tent. The Stargazer upgrade was absolutely worth it! Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful and memorable experience. We can’t wait to explore other Under Canvas locations next!

• mandym484 (10/5): Stellar Yoga Retreat - I let a yoga retreat here, and it was incredible. Working with Kelly in reservations was perfect - she was professional, positive, and super helpful. The staff at Moab, especially Jacob, were so lovely. They were attentive to our group needs, and took very good care of us - they lit our fires every night, and even gave us hot water bottles for our beds each evening! The beds were so insanely comfortable, and the caterer they recommended, Moab Private Chef, was drool-worthy. Everyone had a wonderful time - highly recommend!

The tent was comfortable and the view from our front porch pretty special. Only negative is you do hear a bit of road noise.

The fire lasted about 3 hours for us so the people saying the fire only last about an hour is definitely a self problem. You can hear the freeway but it didn’t bother us. And if they did their research they would know it’s by the freeway… but other than that the staff was so friendly. They were so sweet to our dog. We are definitely looking into staying there again with our dog. The stars were also so beautiful that night luckily the night before it was cloudy but the night we stayed it all cleared up! I highly recommend this place if it fits what you like!

• graham-c-w (10/5): Luxurious camping in a great location - I've always liked camping, but my wife likes staying in luxurious hotels, so the glamping experience offered by Under Canvas is an excellent compromise. It's about as far as she will go in "roughing" it. We've been to a few Under Canvas locations and I especially like the wood burning stove in the higher-end tents. I feel a major sense of accomplishment when I get the fire going first thing in the morning, especially after being woken up to "honey, we need the fire". The tents themselves are very comfortable, king-size bed with plenty of down comforters, en-suite bathroom, and other nice touches such as bed-side tables and USB lamps. As for the overall experience, the staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful, always willing to provide help and guidance as needed. And for this particular Under Canvas location, Moab provides spectacular night skies with the milky way clearly visible to the naked eye. And you're within a short drive to Arches and Canyonlands national parks, as well as a few other state parks. The nearby hiking trails offer some great views, and if you're in any way interested in geology or paleontology then you will not be disappointed.
• beckyt469 (6/5): Unique experience- too close to highway. - Staff were very friendly and responsive. Nice platform tent with wood burning stove and running water. We stayed in UC Zion and Grand Canyon as well during the week. We were disappointed in the location of Moab as it is right off the highway and we could hear traffic all night. Our expectation would have been a more remote setting. Unfortunately on a windy night as we had- the tents were quite loud with flaps, sides, straps and stove pipe noises. It’s a unique experience for sure. Just a little high priced given location/ setting.

The only thing I would warn you about is highway noise . Because you’re in the desert, noise travels so we suggest you bring noise canceling ear buds of some sort. We did and slept great!! We can’t wait for our next UnderCanvass adventure!
• kennysweiss (10/5): Highly recommend! - Great trip to Moab/Arches National Park. Under Canvas was great. We had the tent with the shower and toilet. Very comfortable and clean. The location is nice - you can see the sunrise from your tent deck and 5 minutes from Arches and Moab. Staff is great - friendly and knowledgeable. They have firepits, s’mores, coffee, beer and more! Since there is no electric, they give you power packs to charge your phone and anything else that might need a charge. Shower is a pull string situation but it was fine (and clean). The night sky/stars are INCREDIBLE. Really nice glamping set up. Definitely recommend!

When we arrived, we were greeted by Jacob who gave us a tour of the property and helped us get situated. We attended the evening yoga and meditation under the stars which was wonderful. Imagine meditating while looking at the Milky Way. The word magical does not do it justice. From our tent we had a sunrise view of Arches. Again, magical. The location was about 20 minutes from Moab and thirty to Canyonlands and Dead Horse (a great place to see the sunset, btw). We could not have loved this any more. The people who work there also did everything to anticipate our every need. Worth every penny.

• valerieb693 (2/5): NOT as advertised - a $500 disaster - We had high expectations for this location after reading reviews, but the actual experience was a disaster. This property is billed as remote and a great place for star gazing. In reality, it sits on the side of a major highway very near Moab. We arrived in the afternoon, checked in, and were taken to our tent. The tent itself was nicely appointed, with a comfortable bed and decent bathroom. As we had been traveling all day, a shower was what was needed. The water was so hot, regardless of how long it ran, that a shower was an impossibility. Inquiring at registration about this, we were told it would not be usable until long after dark. As we began to unpack, a dust storm blew up, and went on for quote some time. The tent was rocked and sand blew in despite of the covers being closed and zipped. After dark, the stars were not visible due to clouds, so the premium we paid for the Stargazer tent was wasted. We expected the heat, as we are desert dwellers, but the lack of water, the sand and the camp being on the side of the highway were really not how this property is portrayed. We were duped. Appeals to management and even a letter to the CEO were not productive, and we were out nearly $500 for a one-night stay. Save yourselves the trouble and book elsewhere.

No better place than an Under Canvas location! - If you are looking to experience total darkness, see shooting stars and the Milky Way then Under Canvas Moab is where you need to book your next trip. I can't say enough about this unique, amazing, peaceful, gem of a place. I live in Denver and took a road trip with my 20-year old daughter to drop her off at Oregon State University. I've never been to Arches NP or Moab and this was the perfect opportunity. I heard of Under Canvas from a co-worker and was intrigued by the concept and I always wanted to try glamping. Full transparency, I was shocked at the price but decided to indulge since this was a special road trip. This group and location EXCEEDED my expectations and I would happily pay the price again, and I will. We stayed in the safari tent and I'm really glad we did. Paying extra for the en suite bathroom wouldn't have been worth the extra cost. The shared bathrooms were clean, the towel 'closet' kept all sizes of towels stocked and WARMED and we never had to wait for one of the 6 bathrooms. Each bathroom is private and is spacious with your own sink, toilet, shower and all the toiletries you need. The space is thoughtfully designed with multiple towel and clothing hooks and a place to hold your personal items. Honestly, better than a hotel that never has a hook anywhere in the room or bathroom! Sometimes its the little things. The evening smores around any of the multiple campfires was a great evening treat. There was a guitarist playing who was fabulous as the gazillion stars awoke in the evening sky. Nothing better than nature, guitar playing, chocolate and seeing shooting stars. It was nice to quietly chat, meet other guest and hear where they came from. Throughout the property there are great lounging areas in the most comfortable couches, chairs and hammocks. Most areas have sail shades to provide some relief from the hot sun. This location didn't have a restaurant on property, but they did have three great BBQ areas with Weber gas grills guests could use, tables, and sail shades. If I were to stay longer than one night I would have brought food or quickly gone into downtown Moab (10 mins away) to the grocery store and used the grill. The tents are beyond awesome. Each has their own wood stove with all the supplies needed to start a fire. I loved how the staff encourages guests to start the fire on their own, but if unsuccessful you can text the reception and they will come do it for you! Moab in early Sept did not need the stove, but I could see in other cooler locations how amazing it would be to use. The portable chargers they provide did a great job charging iphones, air pods, ipads and watches. Also in the tent is a small fan along with a lantern that you can take with you at dark to walk the property. Beds were so comfy, linens were better than most hotels and I had the best nights sleep! The staff was incredible. Sara emailed before I arrived with a welcome packet with everything we needed to know, followed up by a text the day before and day of. We were greeted by the reception staff with smiles and the feeling that they were waiting for us and couldn't be happier we arrived! They were available 24/7 and didn't say it under their breath. The amenities were beyond what I expected - coffee, hot chocolate, filtered water, smores and more were provided in the reception area. You could pay for great easy grab-and-go food and drinks as well. The coffee cart that was open 7a-10a hit the spot and was delicious. The highlight of the location is the stargazing area. The pathway and area is lined with tiny strings of red lights so you can lay on the ground in total darkness and take in all the shooting stars, Milky Way and breathe the mountain air. I could go on and on but I won't. I will leave you with this. You can tell this is a special place created by a special group of people who creatively came up with the perfect name Under Canvas. If you have the opportunity or pleasure to stay at one of their 13+ locations (and growing) DO IT. Don't hesitate. You won't regret it. I already have my next two locations picked out for next year, maybe even the end of this year. When I go will 100% be based on the availability at Under Canvas, because no other group is as amazing as Under Canvas. Happy Glamping! :)

• Nelson (7/5): Schönes Zelt mit allen Annehmlichkeiten, leider an schlechter Lage - Zelt und Austattung sehr gut. Bett sehr bequem. Der Ofen hat das Zelt warm und gemützlich gemacht. Live-Musik am Abend klasse. Lage viel zu nah am Highway - Autos und vor allem Motorräder haben uns die ganze Nacht wach gehalten (es wurden Ohrenstöpsel verteilt..) . Aussicht hängt stark davon ab, welches Zelt man zugewiesen bekommt - mit Pech sieht man nur die anderen Zelte.

• 755brettt (10/5): A Fun Unique Experience - What a fun experience! From the moment of checking in to the moment of checking out the staff was wonderful, smiling, welcoming and helpful. The tents a well kept and spacious! The bathhouse was also very clean and the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were luxurious and smelled phenomenal. The amenities were also very welcome. I loved they provided bags of ice for coolers, also the cooling clothes were amazing! The nightly activities were also fun! I have a cool small ceramic pot that I painted one evening that will always remind me of Under Canvas.

Die Dame sprach mit ihrem Computer und scheute jeden Blickkontakt. Das Zelt flatterte im Wind und eine Zeltleine brachte das ganze Zelt mit seiner Holzkonstruktion in Schwingung. Der Sound war wie von einer Bohrmaschine. An schlafen war trotz der bereitliegenden (!) Ohrstöpsel nicht zu denken. Wir haben nach einer durchwachten Nacht abgebrochen... Für den Preis ist die angebotene Leistung nicht akzeptabel. Wir können nur abraten
• kathrynwolf (10/5): The Perfect Blend of Luxury and Rustic - This was such a beautiful experience and was the perfect blend of luxury and rustic for our vacation. The tents are spacious, cute, well decorated, and comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a marshmallow! Speaking of Marshmallows, they had complementary s'mores every night at 7:30 pm, in addition to a nightly activity. The soaps, the linens, and the fixtures in the bathroom were all luxurious, which really made for a comfortable stay. I was able to roll out of bed and onto the tent's porch to watch the sunrise with one of the best views I've ever had - that in itself makes this totally worthwhile. My fiancé and I went with the Deluxe Tent to have the private onsite bathroom and it did not disappoint, and I would highly recommend. This was such a great place to stay and I hope to be back!
• lindarY8022QT (4/5): Bad experience - Tents and beds are ok. The staff is friendly. Be aware, that there are no electricity in the tents. No a/c - we where there in september, where the temperature was 36 degrees (97 fahrenheit). It was terrible. And the only possibility for keeping cold drinks and store food is a box with ice in it, that you collect in the reception. The water at the sinks and in the bathroom requires, that you hold the handle down all the time - pretty annoying while showering. The water changes temperature many times in a shower - very, very hot segments. There are a LOT of noise from the nearby freeway and the railroad. Both of our nights there, there came a very long trains between 01.00 (1 am) - 03.00 (3 am) making a lot of noise and honking their horns many times. We slept very bad both nights. And we would have gone somewhere else for sure after these two nights - should our stay had been booked here for more days. This is not luxury glamping, this is primitiv glamping with bad sleeping conditions. Way to expensive for what you get. We will never go again.
• Vania Ilenia (9/5): Stu pen do - La tenda è pazzesca, bellissima, spaziosa e con arredo molto sofisticato e di design. Tutto come fosse nuovo. Bello il contesto, ciascuna tenda è di fatto isolata con moltissimo spazio tra una tenda e l'altra. Letto molto grande e molto comodo, bagno particolare e super funzionale. Il cielo in quella zona è il vero protagonista: pazzesco. Vaporizzatori per la frescura nel proprio piccolo portico all'ingresso della propria tenda. Non c'è elettricità ma la struttura fornisce power bank per tutte le ricariche di cui si ha bisogno e la tenda è attrezzata con piccole lampade a batteria che illuminano perfettamente la stanza. L'area comune ha zone per mangiare, barbecue di altissima qualità, piccoli falò e amache per vedere le stelle e leccornie disponibili per gli ospiti a tutte le ore. Vista dalla tenda impagabile. Il glamping è a ridosso della highway, il rumore delle auto e dei camion è oggettivo: si sente (ciononostante io ci tornerei). Durante il giorno la tenda è inutilizzabile perchè il caldo è atroce (ma tanto chi alloggia qui lo fa per poterne godere in orari non necessariamente diurni), è bene sapere che non è possibile fare la doccia durante il giorno perchè l'acqua è troppo bollente ed è bene sapere che farla alla sera o alla mattina potrebbere essere freddina (ma è il bello dell'alloggiare in tenda). Noi siamo stati due notti, la prima perfetta, di notte la temperatiura scende e hai bisogno di coprirti. La seconda c'è stato molto vento e non abbiamo chiuso occhio....(ciononostante io ci tornerei). Peccato non ci sia ristorante. Suggerimento: rimpinguare giusto un pò la dispobilità di cibo per gli ospiti :-)

• Ali (2/5): Not the trip for summer or for a quiet getaway - The tent and lobby area were stacked with great amenities and activities that could be enjoyed during your stay and the staff were helpful and attentive. Do not book a stay during the heat of summer. It doesn't matter if the windows are open for ventilation, or if they give you a wet rag to stay cool, and have small fans in the room. Additionally, the tents are in close proximity to each other and the property is an ear shot away from the freeway. They provide you with earplugs to sleep because you can hear all the vehicles and trucks from the freeway. For some, this more communal camping experience might be welcomed, but it didn't match our style of being more quiet and private. For these reasons, we left to stay at a hotel and ate the costs of the trip which were very expensive considering the accommodations.

I would choose the en-suite option if you could. We are not campers so it was all a bit different to us. Sunrise from the tent was brilliant. BBQ facilities and communal areas were brilliant. They really have thought of everything. I would definitely recommend this place as a place to stay. The staff were great. Bed was comfortable too. Could have really done with a pumped shower, rather than a lever any maybe a better option for fans, rather than the tiny battery operated ones in the room, seeing as it was extremely hot when we stayed.

The tents are gorgeous and comfortable with thick mattresses, fans, and water mist for those hot summer nights. The lobby is so cute with an espresso bar and snacks. Staff hosted us for an ice cream night with games and s'mores. Great for stargazing. It's important to remember this is still camping so bugs and the elements are naturally part of the deal.

• Destination594844 (2/5): Terrible cancellation policy - Under canvass Rushmore. Place may be great, I have no idea. I had to cancel the trip and a full two weeks in advance when canceling our stay there was no refund or credit for the future available. They have a 30 days notice policy on cancels to get a refund. It is absolutely disclosed. But even so, I was hopeful that a full two weeks out I might get a credit for a future stay. Nope. I appreciate the need to protect your business but honestly find this policy to be rather draconian. Scratching this company off my list.
• Melissa (10/5): - Didn’t know what to expect, as this was our first time staying at this type of property, however the staff was phenomenal and the property was well thought out. They planned for everything, there were so many activities to choose from and the tent was amazing. I was a little nervous about the shared bathrooms but no need to be! They were clean and had everything you could want/need. All of this was second to the spectacular views! Best place to catch a sunset and sunrise. An earlier review mentioned road noise, it wasn’t even a thing. Don’t let that deter you from staying here.

Included were nightly ice cream & popsicles, smores, board games, stargazing, and an incredibly comfortable bed / canvas tent. The staff were more than willing to go (in the pouring rain) to our tent and zip it up and protect our stuff. Once the rain has stopped, they changed out all of our linens and anything that was wet. The location is beautiful. Well kept. Facilities were clean and modern. Can’t say enough about this stay and the staff at under Canvas Moab. A++

Had a great view and enjoyed the late night viewing of the stars. We also enjoyed the evening fire and making s'mores. Our tent was in an area with no cars so they drove us in a golf cart with our luggage to our tent and picked us up when it was time to leave. Free bags of ice which was very helpful.

The signal here is weak but there is no wifi; wind blowing the tent will make a loud sound so that you can not sleep; it is hot in the afternoon but there is no air conditioning can only sit at the door to cool down, the tent can not stay.

Magic! I need to go back for more than a night.

The staff was exceedingly helpful. There were a lot of available perks in the reception area. For example, coffee, tea, and water were available (it was very hot.). We were given a wonderful tour of the reception area and given an explanation of how things worked around the camp. When we got to our own tents, they were awesome. The beds were the most comfortable. I had slept in in a long time. The towels provided were awesome. The showers excellent I was just very pleased with everything. It was like staying at a First class hotel. There’s nothing really that I didn’t like about the property. The only complaint I had was that the screen door of my tent zipper did not work appropriately, but when I reported that they got someone on it right away other than that, everything was perfect.

• kgkg (10/5): Wonderful Family Stay with Kids - We had a great family stay at Under Canvas Moab. The staffs are friendly and helpful. We stayed at a deluxe tent with a kids tent. The tents and bathroom are clean. There are a few family activities on premises. Stargazing was amazing at night two hours after the sunset.
