Guest Reviews
- Jennica (10/5): It was nice and peacefully.and the children love it. - It’s a very nice hotel None
- Jeanine (5/5): Worth it for cheap price and just a few hour stay. - Good location. Cheap for a very short stay.
- todd (4/5): poor - Bar in the facility No hot water
3 channels on the tv
- Carpio (3/5): Okay - Close to everything No hair blower
- Maryann (5/5): - The location Cleanliness.

- Nick (10/5): - The owner is nice. The older bartender was nice and kinda hot
- William (4/5): This Hotel has seen better days, it is in DECLINE, I do not recommend IT. - The Bathroom Towels, were threadbare, one of the Bath towels had what looked like skid stains, and a face cloth had black grease stains. the shower curtain should have been replaced it had rusty looking reddish brown stains.
There were no front desk staff on duty when we arrived, the one person who occasionally attended the front desk wasn't very friendly.
Judging by the signage in the lobby , the main concern of management was the possibility of customers making RACIST comments to the staff. NOT Customer Service.
This hotel was about 30%, overpriced, likely taking advantage of general accommodation shortage due to the Calgary Stampede, with NO amenities What So Ever!
The main floor and lobby area had an overwhelming Stench of Stale Tobacco or something similar.

- Shauna (1/5): Wouldn't recommend - Location Old, dingy, dirty, loud. Needs to be updated and thoroughly cleaned...
- Brian (4/5): Lobby and room were very warm and A C unit is an antique. - Location Needs renovation. Very run down.
- Michael (1/5): Disgusting. - It was close to the event. The hotel room was filthy and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The hotel should be bulldozed. I should have read the reviews. It seems to just be used for prostitution.
- Mehrdad (1/5): - Bad smell. Dirty, really dirty.. there was a chair with several effects of pee. I wish I can forget
- Heather (7/5): - Good location No top sheet on the bed
- Michael (7/5): - No baggage carts.
- Sara (8/5): -
- Lisa (5/5): Stayed for one night only. Other hotels in the area but they were expensive during the Strathmore stampede In a pinch - Beds were comfortable. The room had a bedroom with closed door. One double bed in the common area and one double bed in the separate bedroom. Bedding and towels were clean. There was an old smell and Lingering odour. Carpets were older. Renovations are definitely needed.

- Birgit (8/5): Good place to rest. - Quiet, friendly staff, convenience Decor dated.

- Sandra (1/5): Never stayed there never will - Nasty place to stay Nothing
- Auger (5/5): Passable -
- Rayda (7/5): comfortable - near gas stations hair dryer didn’t work
- Jill (3/5): Poor -
- Aschienmeir (3/5): Poor - Not much Very much shows its age.. Lack of amenities not reflected in the price. House keeping didn't make up room on a regular basis. Carpet was filthy in my room. Dingy on the whole
- Heather (3/5): Poor - Shady staff, don't tell the truth They over charged us from the booking priced, then said they would change the transaction. Then later denied any wrong doing, and still no reimbursement. Shady people!
- Eva (5/5): I would have preferred to pay a little more and stay in a better quality motel. - Breakfast was not provided. I was told there was a Tim Horten's and McDonalds down the road which was true.
Very close to trans Canada so easy finding. The room was not very clean. The carpets were very old and stained. The bedspread had cigarrette burn holes.
The ceiling in the bathroom was damaged and stained.
The area around the place was poorly maintained with old metal and other debris. Not a great place to take the dog for a walk.
- Tracy (2/5): Save your money, don't stay - Sadly I liked nothing. This property was expensive and filthy. I'd have left and found another motel but most places were sold out and I had spent 12hrs traveling When we arrived we had to find a staff member (it was a little before 10pm) had to go to the lounge and then back to the front desk. The lobby reeked of cigarette smoke and wasn't very clean. The elevator was dirty, floor and walls. Hallway had a smell, but when I opened the room it was horrible., quite a strong chemical smell. I turned on the fan to help. The carpet was stained, the chair looked like someone had peed on it, the shower curtain had filth and towels had stains. Surprisingly the sheet on the bed was clean, but the top sheet was grey and so was the blanket so I couldn't tell if they were ok. Didn't see bedbugs. The window was so dirty we could barely see out. Fixtures were broken. All in all I feel i should be refunded at least part of our money. This property was expensive and did not deliver like it's photos.
- Vanessa (7/5): Good -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Arlene (9/5): Superb -
- Sandeep (10/5): Price is decent. Already stayed twice there and i have no complaints. Very happy with my stay. - The room was neat and clean. Location is perfect and the excellent customer service.
- Jennifer (6/5): Okay for one night. - The bed was comfortable. There are never enough outlets to plug things in! It would be nice to have one accessible by the bed for a CPAP machine.
- Jennifer (5/5): At least it was only one night! - The bed was comfortable. It took three rooms before we found one that had both working TV and air conditioning! The one we got had an empty drink can under the bed. One of the other rooms didn't have a smoke detector! all of them had so much buildup of ice in the freezer you couldn't put anything in them.
- Cheryl (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cindy (3/5): Poor -
- Les (7/5): Good -
- Brian (7/5): Good -
- Lennea (1/5): Schmurder hotel - Absolutely nothing. Terrible hotel. Do not stay here. Everything was awful. The hotel has now been dubbed the shmurder hotel. Blood stains on the carpet. Stains all over the chairs. Burn holes through the bed spreads. Beds are so uncomfortable. Stopped in on our way to Lethbridge to cut down the drive and we should've kept going. 11pm we hear a Tap turn on and the bathroom floor is flooded. 5 minutes later, the same thing. Go to the front desk, no one is there. Into the lounge to get help and I'm sure they woke up the front desk staff who asked if we wanted to move to a room with one bed... no. We are 3 people with a dog.. he gives us the key to this room anyway and tells us to just use that bathroom... the room is on the other side of the hallway.... every 5 minutes all night the shower turned on by itself.... no sound proofing at all and lots of "Ladies of the night" conducting business throughout the night. Do not stay here!
- Yuri (3/5): Poor - Was a bad smell in the room. The air conditioner didn't work.
- Todd (1/5): Aweful - Absolutely nothing It smelt aweful, there was blood on the bathroom floor. Most of the lights didn't work. Looked like knife marks in the walls. Everything was dirty. Tv didn't work.
- Mike (6/5): Pleasant - It was very dirty, looked and smelled like it never gets cleaned. Our room had bugs coming out of the sink.
- 2b1 (8/5): Here we are - The place is showing it's age and could be spruced up some. Just the wear and tear on the entire place.
- Marc (7/5): Good -
- Strobbe (8/5): Very good -
- Christie (5/5): Was greatful to have a place to sleep for a cheap price, but the quality of the rooms and furniture were horrible! My da - Price was good for 1 night! Dead bugs under mattresses. Metal bed frames sticking out from under bed (dangerous). Broken lamp fixtures. Lighting was terrible. Beds were very uncomfortable. Small tv. Broken door handles. Terrible hotel room we had!
- Curtis (5/5): I guess it was what I expected based on reviews. - It was clean. The room is old. Missing lightbulbs. Clock didn't work. Lots of little things. During stampede the price was inflated, but... the room was available.
- John (1/5): Over priced, overvalued - We were charged a $15 supplement for our dog, neither booking.com or the facility have any way of adding a pet onto your booking.
Facility will NOT be re-visited by us or recommended to others Dirty, overpriced, TV didn’t work, no wi-fi never anyone at reception to deal with your problems
- Joron (1/5): Bad -
- David (6/5): Good in a pinch - Buttered issue beds were made. Poor management
- Dixie (1/5): I experienced a very traumatic fall just outside the elevator because the floor was wet from being freshly mopped but th -
- Elmer (8/5): I would stay there again if I needed a place to stay near Calgary -
- Holly (7/5): Good -
- Holly (7/5): Good -
- Kennedy (4/5): Disappointing -
- Wiens (9/5): Superb - It was quiet an peaceful Hallway was cold an once we got the heat going we couldn't turn it down it was either running steady or shut off an cold room. Pillows were uncomfortable but bed was very comfortable
- Apryl (7/5): Warm host and excellent value! - The owner was so kind and courteous, I really enjoyed his friendly smile and warm welcome Our room looked like it hadn’t been attended to in quite a while, but I also felt that the owner put us in a nice quiet spot, away from the noise. Which a I appreciate more than a bit of dust or a pre-heated space.
- Edmond (7/5): Good -
- Edwin (2/5): Very poor -
- Joann (1/5): Absolutely terrible!! Stay somewhere else - Nothing, total dive. Terrible service, dirty, electric outlets didn’t work. Do not stay
- Shane (1/5): Bad -
- Severin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lorraine (1/5): Sign saying to go to lounge to find someone to help us to get checked in.Housekeeping wasn't availab - Wasn't any breakfast offered at hotel That hotel had a shortage of staff. Staff that did help didn't know what to do. Where unaware of our reservations
- Jason (1/5): Non existent level of cleanliness. Will never go back. - Affordable and centrally located The least clean place I have ever stayed. Stained sheets, pillow cases and shower curtain. Spare blanket had a noticeable knot of human hair in it. The guy behind the desk isn’t around at night and no bell to ring for service.
- Karen (7/5): Ok but needs an update - The room was not bad but needs to be updated. Beds were ok just needs to be replaced. Place needs to be updated, the elevator looks like it about to be out of service and it kinda smells like pee. Also there is no ice machine on any floor, you have to ask at the front to get you the ice.
- Lorraine (1/5): Should have asked for money back but paid through a third party - Location Hairs in bed. Bathroom wouldn’t pass a health inspection. Paper jammed into sprinkler in bathroom. Light switch at door didn’t work.
- Edmond (7/5): Good - Older and basic. Good for budget motel. In more industrial area and away from amenities. No breakfast option.
- Krista (8/5): Was good, great staff. - Great staff
- Pamela (4/5): Inexpensive stay to get through the night - I like there was two queen bed for the price we paid, it accommodated our needs. The check in was too long , the receptionist isn’t available was gone for a while before he came back. I tried to call their phone 3x no answer from them.
There was still food from previous guest, and under the bed there was a can of beer as well. I found hairs inside the fridge. The floor wasn’t vacuumed. There was also smell in our room . The double lock inside the room was also broken. The aircon was too noisy all night. When we checked out there was no receptionist, we left the key card at the front.
- Shuba (10/5): surpassed our expectations for the price. and comfortability. - we asked for 2 queen beds and booking .com booked us for a single bed room. the manager was very apologetic, and offer to put us in a double queen at no cost, excellent customer service to say the least, for the hotel. But, will not use booking.com again in the future, they suck!
- Kelsey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Went to wedding was a nice place to stay the night - It was homie and it had a nice restaurant attached to it for food Nothing
- Glenn (5/5): A little scary - The hotel was dumper than I usually stay in but it was fine for one night. Staff were good but there were people hanging around that were on drugs. I was nervous and did not feel safe Get the drug addicts away from the place
- Audrey (4/5): will never come back - no breakfast was offeredTHe place was not the cleanest the place was not very clean. We found large long black hairs in a number of places
- Della (1/5): Very bad - Very dirty. Blood stains on the rug. Broken lamp etc
- Mitchell (1/5): Non existent - The front desk staffed turned us away when we went to check out. Was the rudest person I have ever met and should probably lose his position. Had no compassion, denied we had a booking and did not apologize or even look in the computer luckily we were able to get a cancelled room at a hotel across the way. Otherwise we would have had to sleep in a car. It was disgusting, the customer service was a joke and I would never tell anyone to go to this awful place. Everything
- Anonymous (9/5): It was good - It was good!
- Mcleod (2/5): Hotel needs major cleaning! - Location was good The room was very unclean, and there were about 4 health and safety violations that were a bit concerning. For it being a non-smoking hotel, it sure smelled like smoke.
Staff were unprepared for our arrival and tried charging us more than our reservation stated
- Ivoree (4/5): Disappointing -
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
