Guest Reviews
- jck7976 (8/5): Good Zzzs. - Clean comfortable and extremely affordable. We stayed in room 119 on our way back from Florida to Indiana. Nicely updated. Quiet night of sleep. Friendly staff.
- Janet (2/5): - When I pulled in I knew it was going to be nasty just from the look of it but we were exhausted and just wanted to sleep. The lady in the front who said she was new and just learning was nice but the other lady came in and told her to charge us $10 more for the room and Expedia gave me! It took 3 times of them setting the key cards before one actually worked. It was a terrible place to stay and would give it 0 stars if I could!
- Nick (10/5): - Very friendly staff
- Debra (6/5): - I didnt like the fact qhen i took my shoes off the carpet was wet/damp. There was a terrible musty odor in the room. The door didnt seem to want to stay locked.
- Trinity (10/5): - Stayed here for work and it was great. Clean rooms and cold AC.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Quiet, clean, and friendly!
- Michael (10/5): - Great place to stay for the price
- Evan (8/5): - Look, lets keep this in context. Duffy's is an independent, bare bones motel. In that context, it was a very good overnight stop. It was clean, good hot water, and good water flow in the shower. There is VERY limited big truck parking (MAYBE 4 trucks. You can see it in Google Earth, in front @ 2nd entrance). I will definitely stay again.
- Bella (4/5): thermos with hot water for "breakfast included" - hotels.com has "breakfast included" search option.
All that place has for "breakfast included" was a thermos with hot water on the counter.
the shower on our room was broken.
- ron (8/5): - All good very friendly, fast. Great room. Fridge and micro. King bed and pull out couch if needed. Heat good.
- William (10/5): - Clean and comfortable
- Mike (10/5): - It was nice
- Erin (10/5): - This place was unassuming, and just as good if not better than any chain. It’s right off the interstate. I could park my car right outside my room. There was a king bed and a nice little sofa/sitting area. It felt like a studio apartment. It’s important to solicit mom and pop hotels like this to support local businesses. Thank you Duffy Hotel!
- Tim (10/5): - Great place to stay and fair rates, actually It's the best value in town for a clean room.
- Albert (2/5): - The bed sheets were stained as well as the pillow case. The comforters were torn and shredded on the undersides. The tv would not turn on.Could not be sure if the towels were even washed between customers. The hotel should have never been online with any travel company. I have never written a review like this with any company.
- Aaron (10/5): - Excellent
- Paul (10/5): - I arrived late-ish, around 9:00 pm, and the nice lady managing the desk was most helpful, polite, and welcoming. It felt like coming home! Check in was easy, no fuss. The room was very clean and tidy - perfect for me. Nice stay.
- WESLEY (10/5): - Stopped at Duffy’s Motel on trip from Naples Fl to St Louis. Motel was perfect, a little dated but clean and had everything we needed. Room did not have coffee but you could get some at the office when they opened. It was perfect for a quick in and out. Price was exceptional.
- Katherine (8/5): - Clean, comfortable, welcoming, friendly. Will definitely stay again!!!
- Julie (10/5): Quick visit - All renovated and clean with upgraded Direct TV plan. The bed was very comfortable and the bonus was the taco truck across the parking lot: best and most authentic tacos we've had in a long time!
- Martin (10/5): - My room was exceptionally clean
The interior of my room was in good condition and well equipped.
The Motel is located right next to the I75 highway.
There are trees on the back of the property, so my room was very silent at night and I slept well.
The outside appearance of the building looked a bit dated but is totally OK for a short stay.
There was free coffee available all time.
Overall my stay was good value for money and I will stay again if I am ever back to the area.
- Karissa (6/5): Not your best option for the area - The room was okay for the price. NO SECURITY LATCH on inside of door and the maid came in every day even though i didnt want her to.
- David (10/5): - Very clean and updated, even though it was an older property. Room was new and renovated.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Very Quiet
- Tracie (10/5): - It was a great clean stay. Perfect for a couple nights. Super affordable
- Joshua (10/5): Was surprised - Nice clean and very friendly
- David (8/5): - Old facilities, but ok for pass the night.
- Sandy (10/5): Nice Older Motel - Older motel but clean and comfortable. Room had a microwave and fridge/freezer. The front staff were very friendly and helpful. Very safe and quiet. Not a lot of dining options around, mostly fast food. Great stay for the price.
- Mary (10/5): - Friendly staff very clean
- Bernard (10/5): - Good place to stay for a night.
- Timothy (8/5): - Nice place
- Bruce (8/5): - A nice stopping point on my trip to Florida. Very convenient.
- Danilo (10/5): - Nice place
- Lane (10/5): - Clean, functional. Bathroom was subpar.
- Crystal (8/5): - Nice motel. Out dated but the staff makes up for that.
- Kellie (8/5): - Cheap price for an overnight stay traveling from Illinois to Florida. Customer service was great the lady was super nice. Checkout easy just drop key in box and go. The only issue was the motel dont except hotels.com rewards so had to pay for room, which was fine but wish i would of known before i teied to use my onekey points.
- Lindsi (10/5): Perfect Stop! - Duffy’s was perfect for a place to stop and get some rest on our long family road trip. Very clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the lady in the office was especially nice and accommodating when we needed a “little” lol extra rest in the am. We will be back!
- Martha (8/5): - Decent, clean, only issue I had was that I had requested a double room, was first given a room with only 1 bed (2 adults, *ASSUMED* we would be sharing a bed??? but it was me and a grown granddaughter, no way), had to have them correct it to a room with 2 beds.
- Becky (8/5): - I liked the small business owner feeling.
- David (8/5): - This is a wonderful, small motel. It is not part of a giant chain and appears to be run by local people. There are not a lot of amenities, but it is extremely clean and safe.
If you are looking for a clean room, good bed and a good shower this is the place for you.
- Michael (8/5): - While this is not a five-star hotel, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was a nice big TV. The only minor downsides were that the refrigerator does not have a freezer in it, and the water pressure is not great like most hotels. I would definitely stay here again
- Bradford (10/5): - Excellent location, quiet and clean. The staff were very helpful.
- Robert (8/5): - Good clean room at an affordable price
- BILLY (10/5): - I loved the cleanliness and how well maintained room was. Well beyond even my hopes.
- Stephen (10/5): - Grrrreat central location for the activities I had planned.
- Jean (8/5): - The rooms were well decorated and very clean. I worry about check in clerk. She appeared to be having a medical issue but did get us processed to our room.
- Diane (10/5): - We liked staying here. Room was clean; property was well taken care of and cost of overnight was very reasonable.
- rhondsb (6/5): Budget is the key word - Flat pillows, ac only worked when it wanted too, thin comforter, no coffee pot or hsir dryer. Tv didn't work and desk clerk was very rude when asked for help. Asked to be moved to another room with a working tv and was told no since we had been in room over 15 minutes and tv wasn't a problem to be moved . Nice maintenance man came and fixed it. Was clean and no bugs that we seen was only good thing
- Lowell (8/5): Pleasant Stay - Needs some updating but the price was very reasonable, clean & comfortable.
- Maria (10/5): - Todo limpio y excelente servicio
- Tammy (2/5): - I read a lot of good reviews, but unlike other hotels in this general area of Georgia, it only had 1 bad review, which said "dont believe the good reviews, dont stay here!" I wish I had listened to that one review! It is a rundown old hotel, and dirty. Our room had hairs in the sink, stains on the pillow cases, smelled of smoke. The carpet is filthy and stained. It is in need of major remodeling.
- benassi Powles, (10/5): - The price was right the room was clean. The linen was clean and bedbug cover on mattress. The only complaint I had was the coffee was weak.
- Frekja1 (2/5): Dirty old motel - It's right off the freeway, I really don't think they clean the upstairs rooms, there was a half bottle of shampoo in the room not a fresh bottle, there was a hole under the carpet by the bathroom. The hot water is the only thing I liked, the toilet handle had to be pushed back up for it to stop flushing. The upstairs hallway was lopsided not straight. It needs work done to it
- MARIO (8/5): Duffy-Gooffy - Noisy area cause of the trucks.Need to have ear plugs for sleepeng quietly. Dead Bugs on the sink countertop...
- Helen (8/5): Fine for a cheap place to sleep - We stayed at Duffey’s as trying to save money on a road trip do we were literally just going to be there overnight. It served a purpose but the ckeanung in the bathroom was not great due yo s selection of eyelashes in & around the hand basin.
- Jessica (10/5): - The lady who did my check in was very kind and professional.
- Tanisha (2/5): - False advertising
- Steven (10/5): Simple and satisfied - Adequate amenities for the price. Everything worked in the room. Friendly staff. No off-putting smells.
- Tom (8/5): - Very clean and quite. I would stay again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible place, don't believe the fake ratings. - It was horrible.. We were bitten by bugs within minutes of getting in the room. Sheets were stained. Wi-Fi was unavailable completely. Air conditioner was broken. We travel to that area at least twice a year and we will never return to that hotel.
- Debbie (10/5): - Loved it
- Debra (10/5): Great stay - Great Value - This hotel/motel is awesome. Off the beaten path but convenient. That classic motel feel but with updated rooms. Rooms are large. Best value I've had in a very long time. If we pass through this area again we will definitely stay here again. Going to recommend Duffy's to our snowbird friends 😎
- Renato (10/5): Perfect to MTB Jarrods place - Clean quiet
Your bikes will be right in front of the room
Absolutely recommend
- Amy (10/5): - It was a great little motel for a Florida stop over!! Would recommend and stay again. Super friendly and very clean!!!!! It’s a no frills old school motel with a great price point. It will easily become our new stop through going down and coming back from Florida!!
- Jennifer (10/5): Clean, comfortable, safe - I was looking for a great hotel at a great price just to sleep in clean comfort and that's exactly what I got. My room was modernized and comfortable, and I was pleased to pay cash and not incur the credit card fee. I was so comfortable that I slept almost until checkout, so I can't speak to breakfast, if there was any!
- Brian (8/5): - Does not look great from the outside, but i stayed on a Saturday night and was quiet and clean, though outdated.
Btw for anyone booking through expedia the hotel charges a $15 pet fee which is not mentioned.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Small town motel - A basic motel right off i75; great for a one night stay in between Michigan and Florida. Room was clean and comfortable enough, had a microwave and fridge and air conditioning which was great. Wifi wasn't working, but I think they are updating it, just check before you stay if that's important. Not much in the little town, but there is gas and Taco Bell very close. Was fine for a quick stop on a roadtrip.
- CHERYL (10/5): - Great place to stay after a long drive on the road.
- Jordan (6/5): - Unfortunately this property struggles with WiFi, a very important feature for anyone these days. As a traveler WiFi is a must to plan the next day’s itinerary, and as a businessperson, it’s vital to work. I had no connection on any of my devices the whole stay, and the issue was known at the time of check-in. I was quite disappointed that zero effort was made to compensate for the major inconvenience. The place wasn’t half bad, but definitely not worth the cost without internet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice….doesn’t have all the thrills of the big name places…but that doesn’t matter to us
Clean room, nice beds…just a great place for a great price !!!
- ANDREW (6/5): - The rooms looked clean. I didn't feel like I had to worry about theft. The price was reasonable. The deadbolt lock works for extra security, but the cleaning lady just lets herself in. That lock can only be locked from the inside, which means people are in there and don't come in.
- HENRY (10/5): Good night - Very comfortable
- Joseph (10/5): Duffy’s Motel Great As Usual! - Perfect halfway stop from Florida to Michigan. Always cle
- Margaret (8/5): - Convenient and affordable
- Robinskj (6/5): Clean - Clean older motel that has undergone renovation. Very simple amenities. Minimum face cloths, towels, & shampoo provided. Nice refrigerator with freezer. Expect extra charge if not paying with cash. Don’t expect breakfast as it doesn’t exist. No coffee pot.
- Debra (8/5): - Room was very clean. Property clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly. Highly recommend.
- James (8/5): OK - Needs remodeling. Bed was good. Area was quiet after 10 P. M. Was charged an extra fee NOT mentioned on Hotels.com web site
- Laticia (8/5): - The matress was a bit to hard but, everything else was good and clean
- Jerome (4/5): - non smoking rooms smelled like smoke A/C-heat broken in 1st room and had to move as it was in the 30's outside.
rooms rather dingy, no desk in room. The clerk said there was no discount for AAA. price $20-30 over priced.
- Danielle (10/5): Well worth the stay - We always stay here. The staff and owner are friendly and the place is clean.
- Ashley (10/5): - Convenient location. Cheap but clean and the staff was friendly.
- Erika (2/5): DO NOT GO HERE - When I was looking at this hotel originally the reviews looked good along with the photos. Well that’s bc some of the rooms are way nicer then the others. Not only did I get a smoking room when I wanted a non smoking. But there was hair in my towels , a left ponytail holder in the shower. I saw atleast 3 bugs while I was there . There was cigarettes holes all in the bedding, cigarettes stains all on the tub and sink… when asked to be moved to a non smoking room like originally asked for I was told there were no other rooms, but that I could come get some odor eliminator.. I also asked for bleach to clean our bathroom bc it was nasty….. so when I left to go home I asked the man for the managers number and he WOULD NOT give it to me but wanted me to tell him my issues instead & said if I would of said something earlier (which I did bring up some of the issues) then they could of done something about it but since I waited there is nothing that can be done & I need to remember that for next time. Safe to say there will NOT be a next time.
- Vincent (8/5): - The room was clean. I had a problem with door lock and staff was slow in fixing it. Other than that it was very good
- Stevie (8/5): - The property was very conveniently located near I-75 and easy to find. Staff was very nice and I felt safe tucked in the row of rooms, lighted parking and my car was steps away from the door. The room was partially updated and very clean, bedding and mattress clean and comfy. The building itself is pretty old and the only downfall was seeing a roach in the bathroom (which I easily took care of) and another small bug on the bedside table. It is in the south, so bugs are common.
Even so, I will most likely stay there again on future trips.
- KevinP290 (10/5): Right off highway - Stopped here on my road trip to Florida. It’s a great stop, it puts you right outside of Atlanta so you can leave super early and avoid Atlanta’s rush hour traffic. If you’ve been through Atlanta, you know what I’m talking about. Check in was quick and easy. I backed to my room and easily unloaded my stuff. Room was basic and everything worked. One good thing about this place, it must have LED lights. They lit up the parking well and I felt safe with my car outside. Super bright. Great stay. I’ll be returning in February. Oh yeah, also great price.
- John (8/5): Higher rating for refreshed rooms. - Stayed here a couple of times before. Obviously they have upgraded their rooms. Everything looked new. Table, tv, tub surround, carpet. The internet worked much better than a year ago. The cable channel selection was superior. Have no complaints. Note. If you book with a credit card there is an extra charge. Hold with credit card...pay cash.
- Joseph (10/5): Decent place at a good price - In fairness, Duffy's hotel didn't look like much from the outside, but don't be fooled, the room was clean, and had seemed to have been updated recently. I was only there for one night for a nearby ultra-marathon race, but as a male travelling solo, it suited my needs very well. My only complaint with the hotel was that there was no ice machine. And for any good restaurants, you had to drive down the interstate a few miles, but that is no fault of the motel, and for me, it was no big deal.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was an excellent spot to stop and sleep on my trip back home from florida. It was clean and had a great bed to sleep in. It was also a great price for just a night to sleep. No extras which is find when you just need somewhere to rest on a long drive.
- David (6/5): Clean room but Frustrating - For an independent/non-chain hotel I was pleased with the overall condition. The room was decently updated and clean. I had a couple significant issues that spoiled the stay: 1) I reserved and provided payment on the hotels.com website but instead of building fees into their price, the hotel charged me a 3% credit card fee. That was not previously disclosed and inappropriate. 2) The air conditioning unit was not turned on in anticipation of my stay. The room was very hot and I had to let the room cool down before I could stay in it. Both of these reflect "cheap" cost-cutting tactics that make you wonder where else they are cutting corners to save a buck.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was clean, but I was given a room than the lady moved me to a different room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was older
- Daryl (4/5): Don't believe the cleanliness reviews. - Starting with check-in, I gave my Driver's License and Credit card to the clerk and it seemed to take a very long time to get them back. Ten to fifteen minutes out of the office room, we could not see her. I booked this room because of the cleanliness reviews. The beds were made and carpet looked clean and there were clean towels. We were shocked and discussed that the toilet and tub had not been cleaned. I raised the toilet seat and couldn't believe my eyes. When you raise the seat your fingers have to touch the outside of the bowl because the seat lays down on it with no clearance. Needless to say we will not stay at this place again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything above the service and property was simply amazing
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great customer service
- Glenn (10/5): Good stay - It was a good clean room and quiet stay Due to its location
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Did not like anything. Desk service slow, did not get room requested. Was put in back by the highway. Another guest was able to get in our room with key card. Ended up leaving at 2:30am. Would never recommend this place and was charged fees for using our credit card, also room cleaning fee. Have never been charged so many fees.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Filthy property. I am not picky when it comes to hotels but this was the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed it. If it was almost 1am after an 8 hour drive with another 6 the next day we would have left immediately. Didn’t even sleep under the sheets that were stained and gross. Smell was terrible. Loud AC unit. Power went out in the middle of the night making the room bake and other guests were up, loud and pounding around on the walls and floor the entire night. We got a few terrible hours of sleep and ran out of there. DO NOT STAY HERE, trust me find another place!
- patrick (8/5): happy trails - it was clean as Always nice lady up front clean rooms this is a good motel to stay at over night clean yard its good good price to i will stay again soon hope this helps you all found no Bugs great
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Ratings should always be relative. There were stains on the carpet and blankets. The room smelled of many years of tobacco use. However the sheets were fine, the bed was comfortable, there was a fridge, the staff were nice, and the room was about $50 that night and $62 all in. I don’t think you can judge a room like that with the $150-200 a night rooms. I did not feel unsafe and was able to get some much needed sleep on a long trip. If you are used to $150 per night hotels do not stay here. If I owned the place I would raise the price and do some updates. Thankfully though this hotel provides a nice night of sleep at an affordable price point.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Decent motel, great price.
