Guest Reviews
- Vania (10/5): - Las habitaciones son amplias y limpias.
- Paula (10/5): - Everything was great.
- Ernesto Jose De (10/5): - Great
- Maria (6/5): - The property location was quiet and in a nice neighborhood. I did not like that there was no television in living room area, there was a television in kids room, but not in master room. We did not like that.
Breakfast was advertised when we booked - and with 4 children, I booked that place for that reason. When we got there, I asked time of breakfast and they said we were the only ones getting it, but first she checked our reservation. Breakfast was toast, peanut butter/jelly, coffee, one fruit per person, and kerns juice for three days, which was replaced by tang for the next three days. When peanut butter ran out, that was it- only jelly. That should be advertised, I was expecting warm breakfast - since the pictures we saw showed hot breakfast and there was no distinction made in the information. I also had to remind them every morning to provide us breakfast, which should have been understood based on our booking.
Mari, our assigned cleaning lady/host was attentive with all our question, she was great. Unfortunately, she could only do what she could based on what the property allowed her to do.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good experience
.
- Maribel (2/5): - I don’t like, that wasn’t what I was expecting, no hot water,
- Jorge (10/5): - Estan en una zona muy tranquila a pesar de ser a media zona hotelera. Los cuartos estan muy amplios, completos y comodos. El personal es amable y servicial. Con ganas de haber estado mas tiempo en este hotel.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The hotel staff is nice and accommodating. They gave us good tips about what to do in the area.
Good:
-spacious rooms
-free bottle of water and carton of milk
-free parking
-nice pool
-air conditioned rooms
Bad:
-water heater broke during our stay so we had to take cold showers
-you have to ask for towel replacements at the front desk instead of getting them exchanged in your room
-you get charged $10 per spotted towel so you have to be extra careful with make up
-there is no bell at front desk so if there is no one there you have to yell for someone if there is someone there
-you only get one breakfast. You don't get breakfast for every day of your stay.
-breakfast is literally toast with jam and coffee
-not all of the power outlets worked
-bed sheets were stained
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice place close to hotel zone - The hotel was nice and clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Only bad thing....no pressure on the shower head and no TV!
- maria (2/5): Not as presentable as it was advertised - I'd rather have my money back
This is not what I expected out of Expedia
This location was very deceiving
- Jess (2/5): not your go to hotel - everything is far from here . no microwave . says continental breakfast and didnt have nothing .swimming pool was very hot .
- Emiliano (4/5): Nice hotel, but very bad staff - The first night we arrived we were placed in a room with an air conditioning that didnt cool the air. We were moved to another building (no elevators, had to move the bads 4 stories down and then again 4 stories up, the staff didnt help us). The second room air conditioning stopped working after ten minutes of entering the room. We spent the first night with no air conditioning at all. The worst part came the last day (December 31). We did the check out at 8am because we had the Chichen Itza tour that day. We left our bags at the lobby and the plan was to come back, take our bags and travel to Playa del Carmen around 9pm to spend the night of the 31 there. However, when we returned from the tour, the lobby was empty and locked. We had to wait two hours until the guy in charge of the lobby came back, drunk, and gave us our bags. We didnt make it to Playa del Carmen on time and arrived past midnight.
- Erik (10/5): Great Place to stay when visiting Cancún - Very friendly stuff, early check in wasn't a problem. Quiet place. Will stay there again for sure. I recommended to friends already.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Apartment in Paradise - The facility was way more than we expected with a full size 2bd 2bath, apartment style. When we checked in the guy at the front desk didnt speak very much English at all! However we were still able to get everything squared away upon check in. The hotel was part residents and the other part hotel. A few negatives was that the pool closed at 9 so we weren't able to take advantage of that amenity because we got back in after it was closed. It also sits a little further off the strip so it's a bit of a walk to restaurants and bars but only about 5 to 8 minutes in a car. Overall this place is perfect for location cleanliness and price! I would recommend this place for sure for families and couple's or groups.
- S (10/5): Pleasant Surprise - Let me start by saying you get what you pay for. Don't pay lower rates expecting 5 start digs. I personally love to go down to Cancun and various other locales strictly for the beaches and food so I don't need my accommodations to be super fancy. The place was a lot bigger than I expected, in fact, it was a 2 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and living room. Everything appeared clean and the air conditioning worked so I was happy. The only down side was the walking distance from the hotel to the main road/bus stop. I will definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Be careful if you don't speak Spanish. Also, don't rely on the free breakfast unless you are good with toasted white bread with butter and one type of jelly, coffee, and orange juice. No fresh fruit, nothing hot. They might also offer cereal, but I'm not sure.
- Teddy Bear (2/5): Find another - Wow! Much to say! As I walked into bedroom, my socks got soaked from the water that got onto the floor from the open window. Neighbor poured cold water on me as he watched me shower. Shutters were missing at the bathroom window just below head level. Bad deal:-(. Said breakfast included, but after some calls to reception, they finally brought us orange juice and disgusting coffee. Is that breakfast??? The bed was comfy, but smelled moldy. Internet was supposed to be free, and it sure was. Wasted an hour trying to connect, no success.
Plenty space, for those who have kids. Lotsa closet and shelf space, good for those who want to stay somewhere for many nights, and need closet room.
- Kathy (8/5): Good reflection of the Isla - Room came with fridge, safe and air conditioning. Rooms surround a beautiful court yard with a swimming pool. Hotel sits right in north beach and a couple of blocks from the market area. Each room has a covered patio with a table and chairs. Not luxury but who needs fancy when the beach is so close!
- louis (2/5): No Buffett 1 old tv in living room in a 2bdr suite - I was there with my family and nothing like the pictures you see in internet they said continental breakfast and according to them its only coffee and a fruit cocktail.if you want something else like scrumble egg ,sausage you have to pay extra and I told them that why I have to pay extra when in internet they said free continental breakfast included.they said we dont do buffet because the waste of food.now if you see the pool the water its dirty and smell.I rent a 2 bedroom suited with full kitchen and they said everything is there to cook but it's not true.you have to buy matches to used the stove and they sell them for 6 dollars a tiny box of matches now the worse they have only 1 old tv in the living room and nothing in the bedrooms.so I went to the office and told them why the there's no Tvs in the room and they said sorry but we don't have any available if want to use the laundry you have to buy soaps and pay 10 dollar to used .no shampoos in the shower ,1 toilet paper .no free transportation you have to pay every time you want to go out about 20 dollar 1 way .now if you feel like walking its about 1 mile to the bus stop. Honestly people don't be fooled like me by booking in this hotel I would never used this hotel I don't know Expedia promote this hotel they don't give you what they offer what a shame hotel gaviotas next time I will really look for reviews.now if you really want to try its in you I really hate when people takes advantage of tourists
- Estevan (8/5): One night - We got to Cancun 1 day early, and needed a place to stay. I had 6 in my party, so the options were few. When we arrived, we found that it was near the Hotel row, but not on it. It was nice and quiet, and exactly what we were looking for.
- Lunasurfer (8/5): off from the Cancun Strip but easy to get there - if you are looking for a quite silent place to stay consider that one. The location next to Laguna and even more every close to the golf yard makes it a special one. Also to be stressed here: ask for cheap transfer to next bus stop on cancun strip (you avoid about 15 minutes walk mainly if it is humid outside). Staff is very helpful about that...
