We loved the pictures on the walls which were of the history of the place. We were very pleased with our stay and couldn’t recommend it more!

- Joseph (9/5): A great location in the town, a well equipped little kitchenette and a cosy cottage stay - Our stay was comfortable and we certainly appreciated the microwave and toaster and kettle. We stayed on a Tuesday night and after 5PM we all the town cafes were all closed. Fortunately the IGA store was open so we bought two frozen dinners to heat in the cottage microwave that night and some fruit and yogurts and a packet of crumpets for the next days breakfast.
- Debbie (9/5): A quaint room with everything you need for an overnight stay. -
- Jennifer (9/5): - Location excellent with cafes, supermarket and ATM within walking distance and indoor pool rigjt next door Need a sharp knife
- Lynette (10/5): -
- Susan (8/5): Comfortable and great atmosphere. After wisely notifying us re possibility of restaurants not being open in evening we - Atmosphere of old world. Very quiet. Excellent utensils etc. Windows not able to be opened for some fresh air.
- Carol (7/5): Stay was comfortable, cute village but nothing open at all in the village on a Sunday night not even a pub to eat at. S - Bed was comfortable, historic property. Virtually on the street, so couldn’t have curtains open as people could see in as they walked past. As floor boards were very uneven the wardrobe made a noise every time you walked past. Unable to watch TV in bed.
- Merylyn (4/5): Disappointed - Good bed clean and comfortable Dirty not cleaned properly. Shower flooding due to lots of hair in drain, Use dental pick and products spilt on shelf in bathroom, cutlery draw dirty slapped tea and crumbs. Floor moved under your feet as you walked on it. Lights from outside shing in during night window coverings not stopping it. Whole place needs maintenance and cleaning properly dust everywhere.p
- Leonie (10/5): - The location and facilities were excellent.
- Springdancer (9/5): Nice short stay - Location in town and self contained with suitable amenities. Nice shower and bathroom. The blind on one window is a little skiiny and the light still streamed through the sides when down. Has been painted since marketing photos completed and we didn't immediately recognise the building.
- Lis B (7/5): -
- Alain (8/5): Hôtel charmant, pratique et calme - Le calme,l' ambiance,le personnel, chambre au rez de chaussée. Rien
- Isabelle (10/5): Loved it. - We absolutely loved the cottage. Great location and a gorgeous atmosphere, inside and out.
- John (6/5): Wouldn’t bother again. - Location and well appointed. No fly screens, could not open windows. Very dusty, dirty rugs and far too many rules posted around accommodation.
- Helen (10/5): Awesome - best bed, best sleep, bought dinner at IGA & enjoyed it in the perfect room. - The bed!!! Incredible! Nothing!!
- Mark (7/5): - Situated in a sleepy little town, the location is great. Maybe a little too rustic for our liking but very comfortable

Everything you need
- Jessica (6/5): Great location. Invest in quality mattresses. - Fantastic location! The beds were extremely uncomfortable.
One more so than the other.
- Kay (8/5): - Central location.
Well appointed.
Comfortable. Plumbing noises (neighbours?) evening and early mornings
- Nadine (9/5): -
- Gwenyth (8/5): Comfortable if you stayed on the bed!! Very limited space. - Location excellent. Studio bedroom/kitchenette tiny. 2 chairs under TV ie can't sit in chairs to watch TV or eat. Shower/ toilet good More space needed.
- Geoffrey (9/5): There on wrong day nothing was open - Internet Old charm
- Susan (10/5): RUSTIC ROOM - Exceptionally well located especially if you like to walk. Right next door to the heated swimming pool. Close to restaurants ,food and the sights. The staff were very friendly and helpful although a message to the host prior to arrival was never answered. A high chair and baby cot minus bedding was provided
The ladies (Mary Lou) who cleaned was our main point of contact and it was them that set us up for the baby and toddler. Heaps of parking out the back. Everything needed was provided including tea coffee both instant and ground and milk in the fridge which was greatly appreciated.
The room was large and had good dark out curtains and blinds. It was rustic and interesting. The main bed was very comfortable and all the linen was impeccable. Because of the kids I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed which was in reality for one of the children. . It really need a topper to cover the springs if a fussy adult was to sleep on it but it was ok as I'm not too fussy.

- Magdalena (7/5): Süße, ruhige Unterkunft - Süße Unterkunft mit netter Weinbar / Restaurant im Ort Kein persönlicher Kontakt mit Personal, sehr verlassen
- Kya (10/5): -
- Ian (5/5): - Proximity to hotel for dinner. A lot of light came through the curtains/blinds at night. Plumbing needs updating. The lighting was poor; room lights were ok but the bedside lamps were useless. A couple more power points would be useful.
- Eben (9/5): -
- Stephenson (9/5): - Old school charm with modern touch. Main street and close to pub. Comfy bed and all we needed. Thanks!
- Jigme (10/5): -
- tracey (10/5): Such modern take in old cottage loved all the small details - Loved that we could down to the lake and wildlife and birds was amazing Just my husband kept on bumming his head walking into the toilet and trying to make a cuppa I was ok though
- Mark (8/5): -
- Stephen (3/5): Disappointing - Property was dirty and run down. If people complain about the tap change it, was dusty and dirty. Blinds were not sufficient to block morning light Cleaner, a more appropriate tap, better blinds
- Kaoru (8/5): -
- Williams (8/5): -
- Fiona (8/5): Extremely convenient. Have stayed here several times before and happy to return. - Very clean and well provisioned. Very convenient. Quiet. Cosy. Spacious bathroom. Just a bit cosy. Lack of a table to eat at was tricky but no room for one. There was a table and chairs out side but a bit chilly for that, especially Sunday morning!
- Samantha (9/5): -
- michael (10/5): -
- John (6/5): I enjoyed the experience of staying in a historic cottage - The updated kitchen and bathroom The beds were low and mattresses seemed old and uncomfortable
- Leigh (1/5): No fuss and enjoyable - Clean & comfortable Easy to find and accessible
- Paula (10/5): -
- Robert (7/5): - Great Bed!
Fridge well stocked!
Great shower!
- Jajkowska (5/5): bit dissapointing - the bed
the heater worked well unfortunately our room was next to the main road that is a through road in the town, with single pane windows - you felt every car drive by
some of the cutlery and glasses were not clean
the pictures showed a lot nicer and pleasant room - not the bric-a-brac kitchenette which was far from pleasant
- green (10/5): Perfect - Cosy and comfortable Nothing
- Grigory (10/5): - Charming historical cottage
- Jill (10/5): -
- Braydn (6/5): - Nice large clean comfortable bed Hard to keep room warm.
Limited cooking facilities and utensils
- Steveandme (8/5): - Located in town within walking distance of all shops and attractions.
Very comfy beds
Heating in bedroom was excellent.
Plenty of crockery supplies, tea, coffee etc. Bathroom floor was icy; no floor heating.

- Gary (9/5): Comfortable and pleasant stay. - Well located and facilities were good. Room was very comfortable. Nothing really.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Would not recommend - Oatlands is a quaint town with lots of history however, this property is in need of attention to the mould around the bottom edges of shower and floor of the shower. Very dusty around the room edges and a gurgling sink all night. Lovely bed and the electric blanket was much appreciated. At the price point it is very expensive and definitely not 3 1/2 stars.
- Adam (6/5): -
- mascha (7/5): -
- Cheryl (9/5): Great Value - Well appointed and centrally located. Off street parking.1
- Nicole (9/5): Quaint, cute & a little challenging - Lovely cottage style room with nice bathroom. Convenient & easy walking distance to reach some shops & restaurants.
Room was cosy & warm & had lots of crockery, cooking appliances, etc.
The cleaning lady was great & helped me to understand how to work the kitchen tap......thankfully One side of the bed was quite sunken in & not very comfy. But thankfully being on my own, I could use the other side.
The tap instructions didn't make sense - beautiful piece though.
I came to relax & not be concerned about pivoting or moving the tap this way & that to work & then being chastised if I didn't understand your instructions. Not very encouraging & didn't feel welcoming.
So maybe you could be a dear & simplify your instructions for those who aren't mechanical minded, as you may be. God bless you.
Otherwise well worth the stay!!
- David (9/5): -
- Yvonne (9/5): - A lovely cottage with all facilities for a warm and comfy stay. Perfect location. Came for the Oatlands Heritage Festival..it's fantastic. Don't miss it!
- Janice (8/5): Loved it, we’ll be back! - We loved the cosy quaint atmosphere and the warmth of the heating in both bedroom & bathroom, the comfy warm bed, and the renovated bathroom with lovely hot shower! Nothing!
- Lyle (4/5): - Tidy clean friendly Low door way into bathroom well below standard door height. Desperately needs rectification. Knock my head quite hard.
- Wilson (9/5): - Cute cottage, clean and convenient location to explore the town. Appreciated the electric blanket and rain shower on a cold night.
- Pip (8/5): - Fun staying in such an old building with all its history. The cottage studio was very well equipped and warm. The bed mattress was a bit saggy and sloped .Otherwise excellent
- Paul (9/5): Good value accomodation in a quaint old cottage. Great for overnight stay. - Beautiful old cottage in a fantastic location.
Handy to having cooking facilities.
Enjoyed the electric blanket 😀 Nothing
- Teveluwe (10/5): It was a hidden gem - It was clean cosy and very comfortable Nothing
- Murrengurk (6/5): Comfortable but Expensive for what we got. - The room, 'Suite', was clean and comfortable enough for the night. For what you get with the suite room I felt it was overpriced.
Bed virtually 1 step from the footpath.
I couldn't lock the door from the inside.
