• Mark (9/5): If you want a location and building with tons of British countryside character: this is for you. - This is a very impressive period property which has been beautifully restored and has tons of character. The rooms with high ceilings feel spacious and authentic. The upstairs shared kitchen/living space is a great idea with a log burner and games/books provided. It's situated near a beautiful historic priory. The rooms are well maintained and scrupulously clean. Most of the staff seem excellent: friendly, helpful and smiley. We booked the room with the separate bathroom: with hindsight this was a bit of a pain (though it was clean and smart). If being nit-picky: would have been helpful to have some decaf coffee in the room, and the restaurant downstairs might be advised to offer a slightly wider choice (especially for veggies - mushroom risotto was only non-animal offering that night). But none of this spoiled our stay.

• MARK (5/5): Deli & Cafe, Bar ightful. Disointed in the uncomfortable rooms, no lift, food very disappointing. - Nice breakfast/restaurant area. Service was quite slow, but friendly. Drinks/bar were enjoyable. Food in restaurant looked initially good. The Deli shop was delightful and Cafe. Brewery also impressive. The room was also initially impressive until you stayed in it. Eg. Not enough lighting, too dark for reading and putting on makeup, bed switches so far away had to get up to turn All of them off. Not enough seating. One creaky uncomfortable chair for two of us. We didn't enjoy the stay as it wasn't designed for comfort and ease. Just looked good, unfortunately for us. Food in restaurant/pub was limited and not cooked fully for one of us. Eg. Fish dish was undercooked. Sunday roast beef was awful, chewy, stringy tasteless. Disappointed as it was our last night.

• Michael (9/5): My first time staying in this part of the world - beautiful countryside. Will definitely return. - I chose the location for a nearby music festival. Lunch upon arrival was excellent and fairly priced. Service also excellent - the staff were a real highlight. Room was spacious and clean, and shower pressure really strong. Not much - there was a short walk to the annex I stayed in, which might be tricky for those who are less mobile.

We loved the shared sitting room space and the ease of having a space to relax that was not the pub or our bedroom, Guests are Very well provided from Rubin all respects. With windows open, we were close to road noise but this was only an issue in the morning. Bathroom ( private) was adjoining room but, with so few rooms, we did not encounter other guests.

• Sally (8/5): Not nearly as good as it used to be. Some easy fixes would make a huge difference - Okay stay overall! However, I visited about ten years ago when it had just opened, and it was much, much better then. The room was okay, but very dimly lit. The shower was great, but why provide bath robes but not slippers? Some of the furniture needed attention (the handle fell off the drawers). An extremely cursory show up to the room by a bar person (for example, I have only just discovered from reading these reviews that there was a residents' lounge). The potatoes included in the breakfast had very clearly been reheated many times and were inedible. No disposable slippers. Quick and cursory show up to the room by a bar person. Poor breakfast

The upstairs twin room was an interesting conversion in what is clearly an old building and had a bit of character. Comfortable and quiet at night. Receiving member of staff was great. Member of staff at breakfast was outstanding. Beer brewed on site. Evening meal was disappointing. A choice of the beer type and not just three broadly similar pale modern style ones - maybe a stronger proper ale or a dark one would have been nice. The modern lighting system in the bedroom was a frustration and it wasn't possible to enjoy having a simple subdued individual light at the bedside. I personally miss not having a radio but this is common these days.

It was also really nice to have the farm shop and cafe on site Our bathroom was across the corridor in a separate room, which wasn't ideal, especially as my husband needs to get up a couple of times during the night. Also, the location was completely wrong for us as we wanted to stay in Westbury-on-Severn, not Westbury, Wiltshire!! However, this wasn't the fault of the Three Daggers!

Room is super comfy and tastefully decorated, bathrooms are nice with walk-in shower and amazing water pressure. Our shower also turned into a steam room which was a great surprise! Hot breakfast was delicious and generously portioned. However, some fresh fruit at the continental buffet table would have been welcome!

The quilt was too hot with no option available. The waitress for breakfast had lost her voice and was coughing and spluttering, she should not have been at work. The staff car park and customer car park weren't marked as such, e parked in the wrong one and had to move the car.

Fantastic view over Salisbury Plain. Facilities second to none could not have asked for more - will definitely stay here again a real find. Nothing

• Robert (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was very good, with a wide choice of both hot and cold items. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom, though not en suite, was comfortable and luxurious. The location is a pretty village, which was already well known to me, but the access roads are rather narrow - there was also an unexpected road closure nearby on the evening we arrived. The restaurant food was very good but service was rather slow and they generally seemed rather short-staffed

The 'common room' for residents was a nice surprise and very well equipped, though we weren't really able to take advantage of it. Our room was very comfortable. A bit awkward to have to go out into the hallway (and use a fiddly key) to access the bathroom. Also, our room was over the bar so rather noisy until the bar closed.

Would have been nice if there were vegetarian sausages, hash browns etc., We arrived at 18.50hrs and was not able to get a meal. It states meals are available from 18.00hrs-19.00hrs. I had to order a meal delivery in. Doors all need to be oiled.

No iron board. It was raining heavily and the main road access road to the property was closed 3 miles before destination, Westbury road westbound. The alternate detour was so challenging in the rain to say the least.

Staff were really friendly and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. Although the pub was busy and fairly noisy on a Friday night, my room was quiet. Food was good - sat in the conservatory for a nice evening meal, chosen from an interesting and varied menu. The lighting in my room was poor and so dim I wasn’t able to read in bed, at the end of the evening. Also the table lights flickered - not a bulb issue as same for both lights.

The room had old character which I liked, the room was quite large and was comfortable. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs which served nice food and a good breakfast. A good beer garden out back, just enough parking as I don't think they have many rooms so all was well. Nothing to complain about here.

• Myrofora (10/5): Stay here! - We stayed one night at The Three Daggers, and enjoyed every minute. The room is spacious, very comfy and feels comfy. The staff were very kind and help with anything we asked. We had so much fun! I would recommend. The pizza and garlic bread are delicious!

It was great to find the outdoor pizza oven in operation for an informal dinner outside. Great beer to accompany it. Easy and relaxing. Breakfast was excellent As it was so last minute, we did not have much room choice (our fault, not theirs). The cheapest room was a twin which was fine in itself but our bathroom was across the main corridor which is bit more awkward for a middle of the night visit. They did however, provide bath robes to use to make the dash when needed. The room was also a little nosy at times- sound travelling up the chimney? It didn't keep me awake though.

• Jeremy (10/5): Great - A special place to stay. Pub trying to do a lot - including brewery, spa, pizza place, farm shop etc. Place had a buzz about it. Staff very friendly. Room was perfect. There was also a guests lounge - which would be terrific if e.g. a few friends booked out all 3 (?) rooms and then had a private room which had real character. Lovely area to walk around as well. All good. Nothing really. But, I hadnt noticed when I booked that the WC facilities for our room were not en-suite. As it was this was no problem and the bathroom was great. Massive bath as well.
• Phil (10/5): Excellent facilities, lovely countryside. Friendly staff - Very well appointed.
• Joe (8/5): - Great service and very nice room. Dinner was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful. The only downside (and it was quite a downside) is that our room was above the kitchen and the door was on an automatic closer which meant it slammed every time it shut. And this started at about 7.00 in the morning....
• Christine (9/5): Extremely enjoyable. - Staff and customer service were great. Breakfast was a little limited.
