- Charles (4/5): - If you want to go to sleep before 1am don’t stay here. The bar by the same name but operated by others keeps the music loud until midnight or 1am then you can listen to them clean up and put all the bottles away. Otherwise a nice clean hotel, know before you go!

Having the kitchen was nice to do some actual cooking for ourselves instead of having to eat out. The bathroom was quite small and dim (which was the only major downside) - and the mirror/light was rotated 90 degrees from what it should have been. Having a clothes washer to use was nice as well, but some instructions would have been nice since we weren't Dutch and are used to a different style

- dave (6/5): - The good - I had a great price for a room with a balcony (the balcony was awesome). All but 1 of the wait staff were excellent. Location was perfect. The not so good. Breakfast, cheese old, bread loaf (yesterday's bread), coffee machine for breakfast - also not so good, paying a pretty good price for not so great food. Also the roof top deck that was raved about wasn't open for the two days I was there - no reason, just not open. I'd give it 3.6 stars - for me is a pretty good rating.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Cooles Hotel mitten im Stadtzentrum, aber... - Sehr cooles Hotel MITTEN im Stadtzentrum mit sehr, sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Mitarbeitenden. Leider funktionierten die Heizungen in der Nacht nicht, sodass es - gepaart mit leider undichten Balkontüren - nachts EXTREM kalt wurde. Auf Anfrage gab uns die Rezeption dankenswerterweise ein mobiles Heizgerät. Fazit: Im Sommer jederzeit gerne wieder, im Winter leider ein NoGo.

Das Hotel ist recht hellhörig und es wurde viel mit den Türen geknallt, oder sehr laut vor den Zimmertüren geredet, sodass man davon geweckt wurde.

Alle Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich, die Zimmer geräumig und die Badezimmer groß. Bis 01:00 Uhr ist es nach hinten raus sehr laut, hat uns aber nicht gestört und es gibt Ohropax auf den Zimmern. Auch die gesellige Rooftopbar ist einen Besuch wert. Wir kommen in jedem Fall wieder ♥️

I was already expecting a lot of noise in the inner yard and it was ok except that they started moving metal furniture and stuff outdoors etc. after 1am making extra noise which was completely unnecessary. I do not mind loud people outside but this was just not needed. Overall I enjoyed my stay a lot in this lovely hotel.

- Arjo (8/5): - Prima hotel, hele leuke inrichting, prima personeel. Jammer dat het ontbijt pas vanaf 8:30 is. Ik kwam daardoor in tijdnood.

- Margreeth (10/5): - Wat een leuk hotel! De inrichting is zo origineel! Het personeel is zo vriendelijk en behulpzaam, er wordt heel hard gewerkt om het iedereen naar de zin te maken. Ik had een leuk ingerichte kamer, met zelfs een klein keukentje er in. En zeer schoon ook. Het hotel ligt midden in het centrum van Groningen, op 10 minuten lopen van het station. Het ontbijt was heerlijk, en zeer gevarieerd, evt. buiten op het terras te nuttigen. Als ik weer naar Groningen ga, logeer ik hier weer!
- Sandra (10/5): - Ligt mooi centraal in groningen. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Roof top erg leuk en relaxed. Als ik weer naar groningen ga, boek ik hier zeker. Ontbijt was ook lekker. Variatie genoeg.
- MARK (10/5): Assen Motogp - Really friendly and helpful staff. Great area.. Rooms really good. Great roof top bar.

- Kim Robert Haugerud (10/5): Two thumbs up! - Had a great weekend at The Happy Traveler! Cool and comfortable rooms. Very helpful and nice staf!
- etienne ruurd (6/5): Not as good as it could be - A interesting place. Funky. But, our room had no wash basin. The hallway was also very noisy, the oitside was noisy too. Our mattresses were also not good enough.

- Elizabeth (4/5): Super nice staff, but heating and noise a problem - We really liked the location and the staff were friendly and helpful. But we had three issues. First, the room was prepaid via Hotels.com however this did not register on the Guest House check in system. After showing the receipt, I was told not to worry, but at check out the file was not updated. It was really uncomfortable having to defend this again since we need to rush to make our train! But this was a minor nuisance in light of two other issues. First, our room faced a courtyard and drunken folks were still laughing it up loudly at 3am! We leaned out the window and asked the to quiet down in English and Dutch but they ignored us. Second, the heating was not easily adjusted and the room was way too warm. Most rooms therefore had their windows open. Bad for noise and especially bad for the climate. These were disappointments which we hope the Guest House will work on in the future.
