- Trà My (1/5): Bullying and harassing staffs and manager - Gave them a second chance but they are still petty and obstinate. If you do not follow the rules, rules they make up as they please, they will hound you and threaten you until you back down. All we did was use the pool chair. the manager is evasive and hides behind terrified lower members of staff, they say they are sacred they will lose their jobs if they do not accomplish the task the manger set them. They hounded us about leaving a not positive review and tried to gaslight us for a long time. One star, more freedom and less stress in a prison camp. They are making our stay stressful and miserable. I’m very upset
- Trà My (1/5): Horrible management, make up some stupid rules to please some guests - I took the bean bag chair from swimming pool to my room because there is no rule in the hotel that its impossible then suddenly there was another guest complain he wanted to use and the staff here called to my room many times to ask and gave it to that guy, since his wife already had one bean bag chair, so they treat us completely not fair, i hate this place. Im sure they took his side because he is white and im an asian! Bonus: the bed is not king bed, they put 2 mattresses become one and make us very uncomfortable

- Emanuel (9/5): Very good and perfect villa for a weekend getaway - I liked how quiet it was and it was such a nice surprise to walk from a busy main road to a quiet vila. A very nice oasis. The build and decorations were amazing, very beautiful. I loved the sofa bed and spent most time on it rather than on the bed actually. The staff were very friendly, from the reception, to the kitchen staff, and especially the security, whom always greeted you when walking out or into the compound. A few things needed a bit of maintenace, because they took my mind off how amazing everything looked and felt, like the outside roof had a few sections coming undone, and some wall tiles in the bathroom were chipped, but for a short stay (3 nights) it didn't really matter. It also gave the villa character I guess.

Bedroom has a glass wall to the bathroom so light comes in very early. Better to put blinds on this window as well

The rot has damaged the whole roof in the bathroom and needed to be cleaned before use due to rotten timber from rain over night. 1 other issue was our base sheet on the bed was not changed once over 7 days.i know as a stain was present during our stay. The staff is lovely. The owner should get involved with the wellbeing of the property The lack of resources to the staff due to budget

- Taras (5/5): Villa’s need renovation - The location is great and main pool. The villa we stayed in really needs maintenance. There were big gaps between wall and doors, mosquitos were in every night. There is mould in various places in the villa. We stayed in this villa two years ago and it has definitely not as good as it was. The villa is Q1. The master bed moved every time your turned, not the mattress the frame! Also breakfast has changed and not really value for money. In the past we had stayed at Artemis many times but I am not sure I would go back unless is was improved a lot. We paid $3k for 8 nights, which is more than I feel the villa is worth.

- Kristy (9/5): Relaxing stay not far from the beach. - The main/ pool area is beautiful and quiet tucked away from the roads & motorbikes. My room was spacious (superior room), clean and relaxed. Staff friendly and helpful. Short walk to the beach. The bed was a bit firm, though this is common in Bali. Bathroom was a little tired but clean and all worked fine.

- Julian (8/5): Excellent value for money for someone looking for a little luxury on a budget - The villa was great - I had my own spa pool which was functioning most of the time. Very comfortable including a kitchen room which I hardly used. Hot shower and bath. Limited toiletries- could have done with big pots of shower gel. Also drinking water limited to two small bottles per day so go and get your own supplies from the supermarket. The restaurant could do with a revamp of its food options which are again a bit limited.

- martinsA214PE (4/5): Disappointing - Not a great experience. Stayed in one of their hotel rooms and was so disappointed. Old, Tired, boring, dark, noisy, claustrophobic. No view and if you leave curtain open then it’s almost like having passersby people in the room with you. Lots of big ants and centipedes. Resort down a high walled dark laneway. Had issues just after checkin and staff said they would follow up and get back to me. They never did. When I chased them up they were quite unhelpful. Pool area is nice but is a bit rundown too. Tiles missing off pool floor. As I’m writing this I’m thinking why did I give it 2 out of 5. A 1 out of 5 wouldn’t have been far off. Thankful we didn’t opt for inclusive breakfast as the didn’t look great and neither did the area. There’s so many better options for cheaper around.

The quality of the the TV was poor. The shower head was covered in grime.We also had some money stolen from the room that was left on the bed head that was a big disappointment considering it was a very secure complex.

- ianwP4553FD (10/5): Highly Recommended - Thank you Artemis Villa for a great base in Seminyak during our 2 week Bali trip. The staff were exceptional and a delight to interact with! Smiling, friendly, helpful, polite and happy to engage in friendly banter without them “overstepping the mark”. Whilst appreciative of ALL the staff, particular thanks to Ayuk in hospitality and your resident driver Com. The Villa was, refreshingly, as advertised on Agoda! The lovely, clean pool (my main go to feature when looking for hotels) was excellent with 2 smaller pools for the little ones (with supervision of course) or the swimmingly challenged. I loved the pool setting with the adjoining restaurant, the greenery in the gardens, and our room was clean & spacious with everything we needed. Reception staff were always available and knowing the Villa had a Security presence was welcomed. The Villa location was perfect. No “doof doof” music at night and only a minute away from the busy (but not too frantic) main street where there were many restaurants, shops, convenience stores, ATMs, Taxis and pubs/nightclubs with entertainment (Frankensteins Laboratory and Double O One for karaoke were our favourites). Just a 15 minute walk to the beach and the same to the big Bintang Supermarket/Variety complex. Many things to praise about Villa Artemis and I will end this review by highlighting how great the staff were. Thank You !!

Nice pool area, was very quiet - possibly because some of the villas have private pools. Big room, good ac, good tv with movie channels if you happen to get sick and need a day in bed. Bathroom is big and functional if a little dated - but good value for under $AUD100/night.

Unbelievably super king size bed very comfortable. They didn’t clean or replace used glasses or cups in the room after use. Needs a few upgrades to plumbing shower heads and taps needed a good cleaning.

- Heidi (9/5): Our first Villa experience - This 2 bedroom villa was so amazing, the space was great.To have our own bath, shower & toilet in each room was great. The beds were extremely comfy. One king bed and 2 king singles.Beds have the power sockets and usb charging points attached to the side of the bed, which was great. TV in both rooms, mosquito coils supplied, and oil burners with lovely oils to put in them. Air con worked great in the bedrooms, there was air con in the living area and ceiling fans but they had to work alot harder as the morning sun beamed through the glass windows.This didn't bother us at all.We kept the doors shut to the bedrooms if we wanted them really cool and opened them up to let the air out to the living area.We found it very comfortable, compared to the outside heat. There was a great lounge setting in the living area to just chill. A large table with bench seating on either side. We had a few tiny ants inside most days, but again did not bother us. My daughter got mosquito bites a few nights, but then we started burning the mosquito coils in her room, and it was much better. The kitchen had a microwave, toaster oven, kettle, crockery,cutlery,pots & pans.Full size fridge with freezer, ice trays. The pool was lovely and deep and well maintained while we were there.It was nice to have it all to ourselves and somewhere to cool.off.Big fluffy pool towels which I loved. If you go to the beach, they lend you the blue towels from the front desk. The pool had the full morning sun and some shade in the afternoon.2 lounge chairs on the deck. The beautiful cleaning staff came in every day and tidied, changed towels, etc. We had breakfast ordered to the villa most mornings.There was a great choice of things to choose.It only cost under 100k pp($10AUD) The Villas are set back off the main rd. You walk down a small narrow rd to get there, but feel very safe walking around even at night, it's lit up. Also very quiet. There wasn't really anything I didn't like.

We loved the fresh fruit platters and the fresh juices, and especially the nasi goreng… It was a bit of a luxury for us to rent a 2 bedroom villa with our own pool, and it was an excellent choice. There was a basic kitchen but we didnt cook there anyway. Plenty of local, cheap food options, including the really lovely hotel restaurant for breakfast and lunch. We all commented on how quiet it was compared to the nearby streets - we could not hear any of the traffic etc from our hotel. Nearby supermarkets were a bit pricey but again good value compared to Australia (except chocolate - which seems very expensive everywhere we went in Bali). Great area for buying touristy stuff, gatting massages etc. If you have kids, take them to the Frankenstein Laboratory restaurant for dinner. Cheap by Australian standards and an unforgettable experience! Its only a few hundred metres away… Its hard to find things that we didn’t like. The air conditioning in our loounge room didnt work, but we could counter that by having the bedroom aircons on and leaving those doors open during the day. Vehicle access to the hotel is tight but doable. We never drove there. Taxis etc usually find it, but Google gives bad directions to it.

- William (6/5): In reality, this is a 2.5 to 3 star hotel - Great location — within walking distance to the beach. Large rooms and a nicely manicured exterior. Strong air conditioning and generally friendly staff (with the exception of one security guard). The bathrooms are outdoors (mosquitos) and the water is mixed with saltwater. The rooms themselves are old and tired, and some rooms have uncovered windows that wake you up at sunrise.

Open air bathrooms also make the bed rooms heat up and air con in bed rooms isn’t effective, so all doors have to stay shut. The only cool spot to relax during the day was on the bed, with all doors closed. Poor ongoing maintenance also led to issues like unable to close bifold doors, and burst hot water heater.

Absolutely gracious and the premises were excellent. The Villa was clean and had everything we wanted and more. The pool area was perfect to relax in the middle of the day and at night. Overall just outstanding, this will be our destination when visiting Bali. Nothing really....everything exceeded expectations.
