Guest Reviews
- SANDRA (2/5): - Please. We understand this location not recommended after ending remodelated.
It is good your Hotels.com and the proper ower.
- m. (2/5): Hotel from hell - upon arrival the clerk wanted to charge me an additional $111.00. There was a broken Don Q bottle of rum on the ground. The pool over flowed into the dinning place. Wifi only in the front lobby. The air conditioner didn't work there was a door that looked like someone hit it in. no laundry room, swimming pool had pigeons bathing in it. This was so unsafe for me nd my family we checked out an hour upon arrival . I will never stay there again. The guest where checking out so quickly. It felt like a brotle then a hotel. They need to do major repairs in that hotel.
- Luis (2/5): Weekend Vacations - The hotel is in very very bad physical condition, rooms and general areas is very dirty, TV is not working, the pool water was muddy. The rooms carpet are very dirty and dusty. I do not recommend to anybody stay in the hotel, specially do to hygienic conditions and I recommend to Expedia eliminate this hotel from their list of alternatives to their clients. For me is a shame offer this hotel as an alternative for a stay. I talk with other guest and they have the same opinion.
- Yamili (6/5): - Personal muy amable, piscina super sucia no pudimos meternos, los aires refrescan no enfrian, los cuartos con mal olor,no vuelvo ni lo recomiendo.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not good at all!! - Overall nasty wouldnt stay ever again even if they pay me to stay!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Habitación en mal estado - La habitación tenía olor a humedad. La cama muy dura. La sabana estaba rota. El piso tenía plumas de palomas ya que en la ventana duermen las palomas. El baño algo sucio.
- AT (4/5): Close to Porta Coeli Church, San Germán; but... - The hotel location was walking distance of the center of the city of San Germán to see museums and important historic places like Porta Coeli Church, and around 20 minutes from La Parguera. The breakfast was good (sandwiches with local bread, coffee and juices), personnel was kind. The hotel facilities needs improvements all around, it is falling apart. The pool was dark, couldn't see the floor. The room was also falling apart, ceiling, damage furniture, old TV with a few channels (none local channels), spots on sheets and towels (not all white sheets or white towels), beds were old and hard, the only ice making machine was on the first floor in a weird, dark and dirty room. The microwave was super dirty. Our stay was on the third floor, only stairs available, no handicaps facility. A friend stayed on the 90's and it was excellent, it is a historic house, it is a shame that is like this now.
- MIGUEL (2/5): SHOW BE USE AS HOME LESS HOUSE - DIRTY ROOMS,CARPET,BEDS WALLS,CEILING.POOL ONLY PIGEONS USE POOL.
- Li (4/5): If you're on a bind it's ok - The pool is a nice pond for pigeons who are constantly bathing in it. Continental breakfast was served on a rusty table, neglected fresh milk with no ice bucket to keep it cold, the microwave was so dirty that it would be a fire hazard if used. Rooms were dusty so make sure you bring your Lysol desinfectant spray to kill off that bacteria and other virus that maybe hiding, but this is what you get for not doing better research and just focusing on your budget!
- gonzalez (2/5): - Very old and outdated hotel. Furniture looks over 30 years old with minimal maintenance. The hotel was not very clean either. Breakfast was not all that great either. Will not recommend nor will I visit again.
- jpita (2/5): Worst HOTEL ever! - Not good at all! Dirty see pictures below! Manager is horrible! Doesn't tend to customer service. Is been a week this all this ciao happened and she has yet to answer Expedia!!
Don't stay in this dump.
- Felipe (4/5): Just OK for one night - I was not expecting much since I had read other reviews. Main problem there was not hot water (for a while) and I had to wait about 30 minutes to take a shower. I found a roach in the bathroom too.
- Ralphdy (2/5): The worst of them all. - The worst experience that I had. The hotel parador oasis in term of cleaning is the worst and the room is filled up with fungus. All the amenities that they provided it doesn't work.
- Verified traveler (2/5): The worst experience ever. - I did not stay at the end. Please never stay there. dirty and scary hotel. Looks like a hunted hotel.
- Yamisa (2/5): Do not recommend it. - Did not like it at all. No light in the bathroom, room was dirty and linen as well. The overall of the place was dirty and in poor conditions. I do not recommend this place at all, not even for a night. I was suppose to stay 3 nights and only stood 1 night, receptionist did not even ask why and just said "ok". Poor customer service.
- M vega (2/5): Disaster hotel - This hotel si ugly ship dirty and discosting not recomedable for noting never. I think so do you eliminated do you list for mire coment discosting of the other clients
- Robert (2/5): Bad hotel experience - First the hotel receptionist (Female) was unfriendly. Her aptitude was not the one that I experienced In other hotels.
Second, the condition of the carpets, room furniture and mattress confort was horrible.
Third, in the morning, when we went down to enjoy our complimentary breakfast the same lady (receptionist) was there (in the breakfast area) and with an arrogant aptitude told us: this is a self service", and she left the area. She does not show us what they have for breakfast in a courtesy way. In addition I kill a big roach that I saw near the breakfast area.
Fourth, during my check in I asked for an iron and ironing board and they told me that they have only one and was with one of the guest. In addition I asked for a blower and they said that they don't have one.
- Henry (2/5): Never Again - The first room they gave us the toilet still had urine and toilet paper, they change us to a bigger one and it had roaches, nobody is at the desk from 11:00 pm until 7:00 am.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Roaches Hotel - Roaches in top of bed and all over the room. Smelled like someone died in the room. Condition of hotel was incredibly and unbelievably horrible. Will never ever recomend this place not even my worst enemy.
- Maria Guadalupe (6/5): - This quaint older hotel has a great friendly staff, could not do enough for you. The cleaning staff took care in their work, always left the room shiny and pleasant smelling. It was a great spot for sightseeing and taking walks in one of the oldest cities on the island. Very picturesque and historic.
- Wilma (2/5): - Bad
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room and the facilities were dirty.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - We were not able to stay there . There were holes on the floor and dirty old hotel .
- Verified traveler (2/5): I would not wish this on my enemy. - I did not stay after looking at the room. It was falling apart, filthy. Mold, worn carpets and linen. Disgusting. When I went to get my money back the manager had left conveniently. Now I have to put a credit card hold.
- Luis (10/5): - Good
- Ramon (4/5): regular - ok
- Jose (2/5): Bad - We left it was horible
- Luigi (2/5): Need SERIOUS Overhaul - Disappointed...Hotel need serious overhaul. It seems that time stood still in the 1800's in this hotel...
- Devin (2/5): STAY AWAY - I was supposed to stay here for a family funeral and this was listed as the only hotel in San German. Find some place else. My dad stayed one night and immediately left the next day. I looked at a room and didn't even stay that long. The entire place is filthy. His shower didn't even work. I would never put any luggage down had I taken it inside with me. Had we actually stayed, I would have gone to a pharmacy so I could sleep on a garbage bag instead.
All of the internet reviews you read are true. Their proprietary website is EXTREMELY MISLEADING. Research this place before you book.
- Renate (6/5): It was a nice hotel, with a lot of culture. - It was okay. But it was just a place for us to sleep.
- Saul (2/5): nightmare - 5 days family visit to San German PR
- eddie (6/5): - nice stay
very quiet ksfns jisfjfjwofjows ookwokrkw0f ojojokolwsf
- miguel (6/5): mega - Excellent pool area, bed mattresses were in bad shape, 1st floor at lease. Staff was very friendly.
- Javier (6/5): Oasis at San Germán - It is a nice place to stay the night, but a littl too old for staying in it all day. The rooms are stock in the 60's and need refurbishment, but it has a good lobby, area to eat, and a good swimming pool that is open all night. Very good people in the administration.
It is very close to the historic areas of the town, so you can walk around is you have the time. Have 3 museums at short distance and a couple of very good restaurants.
- Verified traveler (4/5): My Osais - No wifi in the room or any other place the only wifi is in the hotel lobby
No hot water at all ,no room phone ,no tv remote
The room smells and bad beds
This hotel needs a lot of work
It's a one star at best but am being nice the price was too high for what you don't get.
- oasis parador (2/5): - Not óptical condition for staying!! Horror!! Tv didnt have a control to change it!! It didnt have hot water!! The decoraction its Awful!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Didn't stays - Experian set the hotel about 8hr away from the airport
- Douglas (10/5): Pleasant - Older hotel with excellent service, very pleasant. We learned a lot about the area.
- engineer (4/5): Visit to San Geman - Expedia only offered this hotel in the town of San German, so the only choice. The staff was sweet and the pool was refreshing. The room was poor but clean enough.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This hotel has problems, big time. My complaints are simple: a terribly uncomfortable bed, the pool was nasty and unusable, and there was no continental breakfast (even though they said that there would be). There are other problems, but those three are the major ones. I COULD like this hotel, if it were much cheaper. If they would get comfortable beds and get the pool to work, I'd come back to this lovable dump for, say, $40 a night. It has charm, but it's falling apart. It'd be great for students and hearty travelers who want to save money. But, without comfortable beds, it's not great for anybody.
- Angel (4/5): Needs some maintenance - The hotel has potential to be a great hotel, it is located near a Historic place and museum, there are some great restaurants around and the night life around there is awesome. But due to the lack of maintenance I would not stay there again. The room has dirt on a couple of places, the beds were rock hard, the pool was very dirty, in fact, the water was green. The hotel needs to close for a while for a good tune up or it will have to close.
- Enrique (6/5): Nice hotel - Stayed overnight because a meeting I had in the morning. Good price for a nice bed / ok room. Didnt get to see much more.
- Jeff (4/5): Whoa - This hotel added to the excitement of our adventure in peurto rico. The receptionist was great however she never checked our ID and gave us another guests room so we used their shower and left. The cafe down the street was amazing where we had to shower the next morning. We tried to go back to the hotel to use the shower we paid $90 for and they and another guest in there. They are definitely making their money by renting the same room to 3 sets of guests in 24 hours.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Really bad - the first impression are really bad the rooms are dirty ,felt unsafe windows had holes in the screen ,the bathroom was a disaster, had used Qtips on the floor no hot water ,.pillows were very smelly and felt dirty...just a total mess
- Felix (4/5): I would not recomend this place to any body - I would not recomend this place to my worst enemy it was terrible, the government should allow places like this to open for service it was terrible
- john (6/5): Good location - Room service needs some improvement. Better beds. AC need to be upgraded. Could use Android elevator.
- l.mendez (4/5): the hotel is well located - the hotel is well located, it lacks more parking, and really a remodeling, the building is nice because it is old but needs improvement. the breakfast was good. to what it used to be near boqueron because all the fences on the beach hotels were full, so that was good.
- Angela (6/5): Convenient stay - Just a quick overnight stay. We were going to take advantage of its convenient central location but it was pouring rain all day. The swimming pool is next to the restaurant and is closed during the restaurant's opening hours.
- Verified traveler (4/5): San German/Lajas Agriculture Festival July 2013 - The rate is way overprised for this run down facility in the beautiful pueblo of San German. The building has great potential and the staff is good. The owner would do well to upgrade the hotel and capitalize on it's potential.
- Lily (4/5): Not a good choice - This hotel looked good from the outside, It was centrally located and the inside was beautiful and old world. The room , however, was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The room was on the 3rd floor and the building had no elevator. The furniture was old and tattered. The bed linens were mismatched, thin and dirty looking. The shower head in the tiny bathroom leaked and there was no hot water. We were handed a remote control as we registered, only to find out that the old TV in the room did not work. All it got was static. When we asked the front desk about the TV problem, her response was "Well, that's the best you're going to get in that room." The carpeting was so disgustingly filthy, I dared not go barefoot on it. My husband and I slept on one of the double beds, but we covered the pillows with towels we had brought from home. I did not want to put our heads on the nasty looking pillows. The vertical blinds were tattered, dusty and did not block out light. The so called "free" wifi, only worked in the lobby area. The pool looked small and unappealing. Voices carried from the pool area so children's screaming could be heard throughout the hotel. Suffice to say, we did not hazard a swim in the pool. They need to overhaul these rooms or close the hotel.
