But overall 10/10, I would highly recommend staying at Raga on the Ganges. My husband and I traveled here from Colorado USA for reference for foreign travelers. We are so happy we found this gem and would absolutely return Location is about an 45min-1hr outside of Rishikesh area. The short drive is convenient to access, but also nicely tucked away for a peaceful escape. The grounds are overlooking the Ganges and the morning trek is a great opportunity to walk along the banks of the river. The grounds were stunning! Even in the winter season, the flowers and foliage were absolutely lovely. I found myself continuously admiring the layout. The owners did an excellent job planning. The graded hillside gives cottages privacy while maintaining a glorious view. There are peaceful, meandering walkways that bring you to alcoves for yoga and meditation. Absolutely beautiful The room was very comfortable. The open floor plan opens to the stunning view outside. Perfect for a jet-lagged or travel-weary guest, if you’re too tired to leave the room you can still enjoy the beauty of the Ganges We had two visits to the spa, and what a luxurious treat. Extremely relaxing, excellent massages, at very reasonably prices. Spa staff was professional and made us feel very comfortable. Sauna after a massage is highly recommended The food was also very good! Everyday we had tasty choices with a large variety to choose from. There were also great pan-Asian options available. Both the dining hall (breakfast/dinner) and room service options were all delicious. Room service was efficient and convenient Finally, the staff made us feel welcome and at home. In particular, we enjoyed meeting Carpal, Manooj, and Dhruvi. Dhruvi was a smiling face that greeted us every morning and wished us well in the evening. I’m sad that I didn’t get more folks’ names, because the entire dining staff was very kind and helpful. Thank you for the excellent stay, Raga!

- Minita21 (10/5): Excellent resort in Rishikesh - Raga on the Ganges was an excellent choice. We stayed for 4 nights at rhe resort. It is located on the banks of .River Ganges. Location: it is 30kms from Rishikesh town so no chance of eating out. However it is in the most peaceful surroundings with great views on the river and mountains. Accommodation: it is a 4* property. The rooms were large with a seating area inside and outside the room. We enjoyed our morning tea outside whilst waiting for the sun to rise. Bathroom was huge with a walk in shower. Dining: The resort has one restaurant, a coffee shop and a bar. We did visit the bar once and there was a good choice of drinks and finger food. The dining restaurant was huge and overlooked the river. Choice of food was great and good quality. The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to get some ginger tea made for us as we had a tiring day. Special mention goes to Dhruvi who was on her training programme. She was very professional and paid attention to our needs. Sagar and Amit also were great. SPA: A small Spa with good treatments and reasonable pricing. Staff: All the staff at theo resort were very helpful and well trained. Special mention goes to Tanuj who keep our refreshing drink. Ready when we returned from a long day's tour. He ferried us in the buggy to and from the restaurant- always with a big smile . Above all he filled is some bottles of oly water from the river. A big thank you. I would recommend the resort to those looking for a friendly, peaceful and clean hotel for their stay in Rishikesh.

The views of the Ganges are drop dead gorgeous from the suite rooms. The food is amazing - especially the wonderful service by Gurupal and Neha in the F&B team. They are super polite and always smiling and kept us fed. Do try out the local Pahadi dishes they recommend. Overall had a restful stay for 4 days and cant wait to come back

- 76parulg (10/5): Perfect Getaway with Great Location - This resort is at a beautiful location along the Ganges with breathtaking views of the river with the mountains in the backdrop. 6 of us stayed in 3 cottages each of which had beautiful scenic views. The staff was very helpful and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. During our stay for just one night - we indulged in various activities like meditation in early evening followed by high tea and then Aarti of the Ganges (really liked how personal it was), a short trek to the river Ganga (very accessible from the resort), Yoga, and spa services. We liked each activity and how well it was organized. The staff was very polite and friendly- special shout out to our guide Himanshu during the early morning Trek! The SPA rooms have beautiful views, and I really enjoyed the Ayurvedic full body massage there. A must do when you are here. Food at the Restaurant Buran's was definitely above average and was liked immensely by all family members young and old. It had a wide variety of choices available throughout the day. The staff at the restaurant was very helpful and service was prompt. I think the highlight of the resort is it's beautiful and serene location with great views from every part of it, the food and the amazing service from the most polite and friendly staff I have ever come across. Highly recommended for someone looking for a great serene experience in the scenic natural environment.

Room amenities are incomplete. Shower cubicle is not having any shelf. Hand towels not present. Dining experience is average. Despite peak season and high occupancy, there were less options in breakfast and high tea. Taste and quality was sub-par. Mandatory gala dinner wasn't ready on time as promised (Christmas). Kitchenware, utensils and sections for veg and non-veg food need to be separate. Although, Ms. Neha at the restaurant was courteous towards us.

Food is the best part, BF buffet is top class with loads of options, hitea is also great perfect for snacking then comes the dinner and they have blown us with great tasting food and blinkit level service. Rooms are spacious with beautiful bathrooms and modern amenities. Hot shower is divine and helps you relax. Cleanliness is top notch, we did bon fire one night which was super fun. Private area was provided to us which is super good. Totally worth the price and if they have any chain anywhere i would surely like to stay at other properties.
