• Hippieinheals (2/5): Not my first stay here and than this! - I recently stayed at the Great Divide Motor Inn Toowoomba and was very disappointed with how a simple parking mistake was handled. I accidentally parked in the wrong bay (the numbers were side by side). The manager and another gentleman came banging on my door and demanded I move my car. I immediately offered to re‑park it correctly, but the gentleman declined and said he would just use my allocated space instead. The next day, my friend arrived and was firmly told she could not park in Unit 12’s space, even though I was happy to move my car to the street. The attitude over such a minor issue felt excessive and heavy‑handed. The way yhis was handled left a negative impression and overshadowed my stay.

Every staff member I dealt with was lovely and when Uber randomly dropped my things at reception about 20 minutes before I arrived the receptionist helped me load everything into my car. It was quiet, we couldn’t hear any traffic at all and it was super close to town which made everything easy. The only teeny tiny downside was the oven setup. There was an oven but no proper baking trays just the ones that originally came with it. I still managed to pull off a beautiful burrata dip but having a real tray would’ve made life a bit easier.

• Narelle (10/5): Lovely place to stay - We have stayed here a few times when visiting family and will continue to do so. The location is handy, staff are friendly, great amenities. The rooms are very clean and beds very comfortable. There is some highway noise but isn't unbearable.

Laundry facilities on site were very convenient, clean, and modern if a bit expensive at $10 to wash and dry a load. One of the few motels offering twin queen beds which we loved. Free, covered parking at the door. Netflix was a bonus. Gave us an early check-in which was much appreciated. My bed wasn't the most comfortable but my son said his was fine.
