Guest Reviews
- Melanie (6/5): -
- Klassen (7/5): - We loved that they didn't mind that the bigger family staying there, The bath tub knob wasn't working so we had a bit of a problem bathing the children but the shower worked just fine.
- Jackie Dunlop (10/5): - It was clean The stairs lol
- David (8/5): -
- Glen (10/5): -
- Kurt (1/5): Terrible sleep, terrible food, hotel stinks of cigarettes, incompetent staff. - It was in a fine location The fire alarms were going off until after midnight. The lady at the front desk wouldn’t even let staff know what was going on or apologize. She was just running around on the phone with someone doing nothing. It also smelled like cigarettes in the hallways. The continental breakfast was disgusting. I have called asking for a proper invoice to submit to my company for reimbursement (I was travelling for work) and the front desk says they will email it to me and nothing shows up.
- De Xing (9/5): -
- Susan (6/5): I won't stay there again until I make sure the bathroom is clean and no rust! - The bed was very comfortable. The staff excellent! The bathroom was very very outdated. The rust and black stain in the bathtub, There was no way, I was going to shower there. Very dissapointing! Considering the rest of the room and hotel.
- Andrea (5/5): - Location was convenient. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing. Very little selection. Would appreciate having yogurt and more jam options for putting on toast. Hot water in bathroom sink was dangerously hot - scalding. Problem with smoke alarm going off multiple times on second night of my stay. No communication from staff on reason or whether it was safe to return and stay in our rooms.

- Melanie (9/5): Great - Nice location comfort of room wirh couch friendly staff great location That rhe lanp plug in by tv didn't work made it a task to hook up my Playstation . Also wish they had maple syrup lol snd syrup in package option too.

- Gail (10/5): Day trippin - It was the smiling face of Diane... after a four hour drive from Deep River...She was extremely pleasant.. she was alone at the desk and you could tell that she enjoys her job. The room was quite spacious, clean and extremely quiet. Love the fact that the restaurant was right in the same building, no need to go outside. It's a huge lobby, and the breakfast area, even though the train style banquets were a bit worn, it had that old fashioned feel and was quite lovely. Our first time Lindsey, will not be our last and we definitely would return to this hotel. We're very familiar with the concept of continental breakfast, from some of the reviews, I believe that some folks are not quite familiar. Just an observation, I would suggest that somebody keep an eye on the breakfast area and just refill where is necessary.

- James (7/5): Everything good , except breaksfast - Bed very comfortable The breaksfast was not very good , Had to ask for more food , some coffee was cold .
- Nasreddine (5/5): Le petit déjeuner n'était pas diversifié au niveau de la variété du menu - lieu le petit déjeuner
- Hyland (10/5): From the time we arrived till the time we left our time there was excellent 👍👍. - Both were excellent I live an hour away & have stayed there a few times & my wife likes staying there as it's not really a far drive for us. Plus there's Can't John's restaurant right inside the building so U don't have to drive into town for any meals. Breakfast is excellent but no fruit this time tho & Capn't John's too for food too 😋. Nothing we really enjoyed our stay & will be back again & we'll tell others about our experience there also.
- Devinder (8/5): - there should be oven or electric kettle in room in winters
- Hugh (10/5): Great value, very clean and comfortable. - Very clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed. Toilet too low.
- Rachel (8/5): - The room was very clean and the bed very comfy. The ambiance of the lobby, breakfast is okay but not amazing. The walk to the attached restaurant has a lot of sad dead plants and dusty fake plants.
- Brian (8/5): Would strongly recommend and book again if the need arose. - Reception, a great restaurant physically connected and a good continental breakfast.l Mattress a little too soft.
- Ronald (4/5): very disappoining - room and breakfast area.
- Rose (6/5): - It was clean. Had egg for breakfast. It was noisy, close to the laundry room.
Small fridge, no microwave in the room.
Construction going on.
- Marya (7/5): Rooms were clean and the location was good for what we needed, but not great value. - Beds and pillow were comfy. Location was very convenient. No elevator.
Our room hadn’t been cleaned by the time we returned from our day’s activities at 5:00, so we told the cleaning staff not to bother.
Was really pricey for the amenities included.
- Scott (8/5): -
- Ron (10/5): Excellent - Very nice Location lots of parking places and connected to a restaurant and bar
- Wuerch (8/5): It was good. - Close to the event The breakfast. The eggs were nasty and not much to offer

- Lisa (8/5): Our stay was absolutley fine. - The location was great for where we were going. The rooms as well as the hallway and lobby were very clean. Beds were comfortable and the toiletries provided were sufficient for a 1 night stay. Staff was friendly and the motel was quiet. Breakfast eggs were pretty rubbery, but the toast was good!
- jaye (5/5): Out of date hotel - The location was close to where I needed to be Absoulutely no usb ports in room . Only one plug to use. In the bathroom. Without moving furniture. Only 5 decent tv stations to watch. No happy medium on heat. Either sweat or freeze .
- Jason (1/5): - I like that I left behind an expensive bottle of cologne and the hotel kept it.
The hotel have my name and contact info and they did not reach out.
This hotel has no integrity. I didn't like that this hotel has no integrity.
- Brent (9/5): -
- FORD (9/5): It was good - Having a restaurant in the same building. We felt your breakfast could have been better.
- James (10/5): -
- vern52 (10/5): - friendly staff large room comfortable beds
- Janis (9/5): Clean, comfortable and accommodating. - The bed was comfortable and everything smelled clean and fresh. The location was away from the hustle bustle of the downtown, county-ish. The breakfast area had a row of booths that resembled the seating in a vintage train car. The coffee was great! I can’t honestly say anything negative about our stay.
- Andrea (10/5): A great place to stay! - The large room with a king size bed also had a sofabed, a fridge, microwave and coffee maker and a desk. The bed was comfortable. Nice bathroom with tub/shower combo.
They have a large breakfast seating area that looks like you were sitting on a train.
Checking in and out is very quick by the wonderful staff.

- DARYL (10/5): - Liked everything from room size, bed comfort, quiet, friendly staff and price for a Sat night. Couple things we didn’t like. Back entrance didn’t require card to get in (lack of security), channel guid listed a lot of channels but needed subscription for a lot and eggs at breakfast were not good. Overall a nice stay.
- John (8/5): - Room was nice bed was ok Ground floor room hotel let people smoke right by air conditioner which in turn came into our room took 2 calls and then talking to the man myself to stop smoking pot by our air conditioner
- Vanessa (7/5): One night in Lindsay - Staff were friendly. My late check out request was accommodated. Breakfast was a simple continental with few options. Having fruit options was wonderful. Coffee was decent. Unfortunately the room had bed bugs.. Had three bites on me in the.morning. Night staff did not communicate with morning staff to advise them of late check out. I was contacted by two separate staff member inquiring when I would be vacating room.
- Susan (10/5): - No elevator
- Kimm (8/5): -
- Wallace (5/5): Comfortable enough but nothing to write home about. - Location was as needed, easy to get to and park. Room amenities were acceptable. The parking lot was dirty, food stuffs left in front of the entrance spilled by a guest. The breakfast was even less than I would expect on a pared down continental. The room we booked was unavailable and were changed to a different type of room without being informed. Our booking seemed to be hard to find and/or missing upon check-in. No staff at the desk when we arrived at 9:45pm even though we asked for later check-in in the accomodation form. The only option was to call a telephone number. What if my phone was dead from travelling a long way?
- Sven (10/5): -
- C Marshall (2/5): Smoke-Free but not Dog-Free Room - Staff was excellent. We were a couple travelling with an adult child and had difficulty booking the Queen room with two "Queen" beds. Before our stay, the staff intervened and upgraded us to the Queen room at no charge. Check-in and check-out were easy and the breakfast okay for a lower echelon hotel. We noticed an odd odour on entering our room - a vague smell of urine. As well the beds were double beds and not two Queen beds. We put on the fan and went out to our evening activity. When we came back while getting ready for bed my wife stepped in a wet area of the carpet. The carpet was deep brown so this wasn't apparent when we checked-in. She placed a towel on the wet area and we avoided it for the sleeping hours until check-out. The beds were otherwise comfortable and the amenities were pleasant enough. On check-out I noticed a premium charge option to have a dog in the room. We picked up the white towel we had placed on the floor and it was absorbed deep yellow with urine - presumably pet urine. I'm guessing the previous occupants either smuggled in or had their dog in the room (and likely one or both of the beds) but didn't mention their fur baby's gift (likely to avoid the prospect of a deep cleaning charge) and am also assuming that the cleaning staff failed to notice this. My wife mentioned this to the check-out staff and suggested they close the room for deep cleaning.
But for this, I would have given the hotel a good review for good value based on price, but no one should have to put up with fresh pet urine in their room. In this oddball world where pets are treated as equal to or better than humans, Travelodge and other hotels allowing pets in rooms should create a block of rooms for this and otherwise have clearly designated non-pet rooms for those of us who don't want to sleep with animal urine, fleas or ticks.
- Regin (8/5): - If a guest is staying for 3 days or more, the room must be cleaned if request or a cleaning tag was left at the door.
- tony (8/5): - I stayed there to start my trip off towards Algonkin and ride the Highlands with my motorcycle… Less expensive than most places and very clean… Would definitely stay there again… Tim Hortons and other restaurants nearby which is good because breakfast there was the only terrible thing
