- Kayimoglu (1/5): I definitely do not recommend it !!! - Nothing. ZERO COMFORT, ZERO CLEANING.
i killed maybe 10 bugs in 1 night!!!
NEVER BUY A ROOM FROM THIS HOTEL!!
I HAVE TRAVELLED TO 27 COUNTRIES, STAYED IN OVER 100 HOTELS. I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE.
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP
THE CONSTRUCTION NEXT TO THE HOTELS STARTS AT 9 AM!!!
THE BATHROOM AND THE ROOM ARE FULL OF INSECTS EVERYWHERE.
IMAGINE THE AC MOTOR IN THE ROOM 601, 603, ALL THE AIR CONDITIONERS IN THE OTHER ROOMS WORKING IN THE SAME PLACE AND AT THE SAME TIME. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP!!! I HAVE NOT SLEPT FOR 2 DAYS. I HAVE NOT TAKEN A SHOWER WITH THE INSECTS. THE WINDOWS DO NOT OPEN. YOU CANNOT GET AIR. ONLY AIR CONDITIONING. THE EMPLOYEES HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE SUBJECT. IF OATRON EARNS THERE, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE GUEST EXPERIENCES. I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE NOISE, THEY PUT ME IN A ROOM WITH MORE NOISE. BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW THE WORK.
I definitely don't recommend it.
THERE IS NO ADVANTAGE, IT'S A COMPLETE MONEY TRAP.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The newly renovated lobby is very nice. Clean bedsheets n a good Mamak shop. Only fallback is it's slightly far to go to LRT line.. about 10 min

- Verified traveler (4/5): - This hotel is right across the street from the Thai embassy, a big plus
- Anh10happy (10/5): It was amazing stay! - It was super convenient for me as it is opposite many embassies. The area is safe. I checked in late at the hotel and it was a mistake that I booked a family room. Our room was super huge and well decoration.
The service in the hotel is great but it is only when you ask!
As a holier review, it is a good hotel for your short stay and for business only.
I recommend the hotel should improve the breakfast.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Water heater was not function at 2nd day...as i was back hotel at 11pm (take shower with cold water at this hour...omg!!!) then i didnt make a complain on it...anyway, i will check by next morning...
- Verified traveler (6/5): - 2 Cockroaches found in bathroom and room had an unusual smell
- David L (8/5): A bit isolated - Plugs are different from US. Hotel is great location if doing embassy business.
- olympiachouridou (10/5): Nice Hotel - We stayed at D-Villa for almost one week with our children. It is close to everything and we had a good view of the Petronas Towers, but on the street so it was quite noisy.
The pool was absolutely phenomenal, great view to KLCC etc and never crowded.
The receptionist was superb friendly & helpful. The apartment was roomy and clean and great for families. The breakfast is simple but satisfactory.
Overall a a good option and I would stay there again.
- Lia (10/5): The right place in KL - The neighborhood is great. The hotel is close to the towers, shopping streets but in a very nice, quiet area due to all the embassy located on this street. The room was very big and comfortable. Big bathroom with soft towels.
The staff very friendly and helpful!
I will be back for sure.
- PeterJohnPaulC (6/5): Steps away to Thailand Embassy... - The room is old... Utensils were dirty the knife was not even washed from the previous guest... Upon occupying the room, there was no bidet (water spay) attached to the hose in the toilet so we reported it and they sent the engineer to fix it... Avoid the BREAKFAST!!!! Not good at all!!!
Tip: Never get the taxi from the airport specially the Color Red taxi... If you have a "Grab Taxi/Car" app, use it... Otherwise, you'll get a taxi that the air condition is not working with an unhygienic driver and it will cost you 93 ringgit (roughly 930THB) when in Grab will only cost you 65 ringgit (650THB)...
Sorry but I will try another option next time I visit Kuala Lumpur....
If you have any transaction at the Thai Embassy this property, location wise is perfect. I booked a Standard 2 Bedroom located in the 19th floor. View was just ok but stunning at night... Spacious for a traveler of 3 adults... Housekeeping and the reception was friendly and helpful...
- Verified traveler (6/5): Just so so! - Room was nice. Made us wait for 30 mins or so the day we checked in. Gave our room away and was all fully booked when we got there. Got upgraded though but that shouldn't be the case in the first place. One staff wasn't pretty considerate. Alam (staff) was very nice and helping. Wouldn't checked in there if we didn't have appointment at the Thai Embassy.
- citizen428 (8/5): Right across Thai embassy - D-Villa — now called Holiday Place — is a very convenient place to stay if you have to deal with any of the embassies in the area. I recently had to go to KL to renew my Thai business visa and the location of this hotel was extremely convenient.
Staff were very friendly and helpful (i.e. they did some last minute printing for me). The room was quite nice and spacious and convenient for getting some work done. Wifi was good too, I managed to have a video conference without any interruptions.
Certainly recommended if you have to go to the nearby embassies, but as a tourist I'd maybe look for something in a more lively area.
- andres (6/5): - The room was dirty, the bathroom dirty, the morning staff was rude, the afternoon staff was friendly, the pillows were very old. The location good.
- Pom (8/5): Good Hotel nearby Thailand Embassy - I like to have a hotel nearby Thailand Embassy, this hotel is the right choice for me.
- 241millyc (6/5): Good for location but not the best hotel - Stayed here 2 nights the first one was a late check in and we didn't have a reservation we just walked in so we the receptionist ended up giving us a room with 1 bedroom apartment on the 8th fl. It was very spacious which was nice but the apartment itself is outdated. Furniture is a bit too old it was clean but not to the level you'd expect. The two glasses they provided in the bathroom looked like they were just rinsed off but not washed. The curtains have stains all over. Pillows are very old as well as the mattresses. Now the second room we stayed was in the 6th fl at first sight it looked better but the bathroom is dirty. It looks like they have updated the room but the cleanliness is lacking. Not to mention the shower! So full of moldy tile and simple looks so dirty the same with the tile in the wall.I really feel they should improve in their cleanliness if they're going to charge $40-50+ per night at least make sure the rooms are in better shape and up to the standards you expect from q trendy and modern city. Now the receptionist were very nice and helpful as well as one of the cleaning staff whom we met. Another thing about this place is that is right across the Thai embassy so it's very easy if you come here for that. Location too is good is close enough to the mall and towers. However if you are a light sleeper then bring your own good pair of earplugs because this place is located in a very busy street with passing cars all night and they can be very loud! Anyway that was our experience here. Don't think we'd come back if we ever did.
- indianp2014 (10/5): Very good. - This is my 4th or 5th stay at this wonderful hotel. One must remember that this is no 5-star hotel. I was met with a smile and friendly faces.
Rooms were very clean and I did check for dust after reading a few posts here and there was none. The rooms were spotless. I had a 2 bedroom apartment.
As usual there were 4 bottles of water on the table.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient hotel Across the Thai Embassy - The hotel was convenient and inexpensive but not very clean. We needed something quick and easy and it served our purpose.
- shang14k (6/5): Spacious apartment and excellent housekeeping but only one bathroom is a drawback - My family and I spent just over two weeks in a two bedroom apartment at Holiday Place. The furnishing is old but acceptable and the apartment is spacious. However, only having one bathroom for 4 people was inconvenient.
The housekeeper on the 8th floor is excellent and very helpful. She kept the apartment clean and well stocked up.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice friendly place good location fir Thai embassy
- Neil (6/5): Thai Visa Location - The hotel was away from the main areas of the city so it was nice and quite, but was within easy walking distance, and taxis were quickly available if required.
Ideal location if you have business at the Thai embassy, especially if you forget a document or they have altered the documents you are required to produce.
The hotel is pleasant and comfortable, but does need a bit of maintenance to improve its appearance to make it look fresh.
The staff were all very polite and friendly.
- Rameez_CoolZero (10/5): Luxury Experience! - Pros:
------
Location is great.
Very comfortable stay.
Rooms are clean.
Staffs are good.
Very spacious.
Breakfast is super good and it's free.
Easy access to MRT.
KLCC is just at walk-able distance.
Cons:
-------
No free WI-FI in the room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): A little hick-up during checking in. - We arrived after midnite. They need cash deposit to check in. Credit Card not accepted.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Value for money - Apartment is huge and rooms were comfortable although design and furnitures are a bit old. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Will come back here again.
- 446philipf (10/5): Top location / top apartment / recommended - Due to some business days I spend in Kuala Lumpur, next to the Petronas Towers , I found this location to be very convenient and close to the city. I had an apartment, facing the park and the embassies (great and safe area, hence the D-Villa is right next to the Chinese Embassy). Every morning the Uber brought me safe to work and all that for a reasonable price. If you like on driver, make sure you collect his/her number and you will have a great, quick journey – as well for highlights around KL. The apartment house offers breakfast, provided by a contracted restaurant. It is cheap and simple; I however took my Hazelnut Latte downtown and cannot review this facility. The pool however is great, very big and usually not crowded. There is also a gym facility, which worked well for my daily training. Make sure you visit the Kuala Lumpur City Gallery and the Lake Symphony at the Twin Towers at night, as well as the butterfly garden and the historical museum, talking about the different cultures, which settled in KL over the time being. Further I found the Lake Gardens-Park very inviting for some walks and sure China town if you like the hectic city life.
- Brenda (8/5): I wil Recommend this Hotel to my friends - It was good experience, reception very helpful in providing us information
- LGA25 (4/5): Handy for Thai embassy! - Positives - this hotel is very convenient for the Thai embassy, it's just opposite.
And only 5 minutes in a taxi to the twin towers and the shopping malls. There's a convenient pizza take away at the reception level with a good buy one get one free offer at certain times. Reception were friendly and check in and out was easy. The room was pretty big a two bedroom appartment with kitchen and living area. Bedroom and kitchen clean and very good size for a family of 4.
Negatives- bathroom really needs to be redone. It's like something out of the 70s terrible tiles and so old fashioned. I'm sure its clean but it doesn't look it! Tap beside the toilet was leaking everywhere so the floor was wet. We were only there one night so just dealt with it. There was also ants in the bathroom and a hAirdryer which was on its last legs! The mat for the floor was stained and dirty looking and the towels were a lovely shade of grey!!!!!
The bathroom really let's the room down. Breakfast is terrible. Dry bread, fruit, a cake or two and some random hot things rice or beans or something. It needs to be covered it doesn't look hygienic. The only good thing the juice!!! If you are here for more than one night better to but things and cook in your kitchen!
Air con also very loud!
- graemet396 (6/5): Good value, clean & Central - It's not the Ritz but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable family apartment at a budget price, it's great. Have stayed 3 times with both mates and wife, and all were happy, well fed campers. Good breakfast and quality pizza shop in foyer with large supermarket 2 minutes walk away. Say hello to Fatima at breakfast. She is lovely and will cook your eggs at breakfast to perfection.
- Verified traveler (6/5): The City of Kuala Lumpur. - Nice stay in this Hotel..Clean Bedroom,Very Pleased...Near Petronas Towers in the main City of Kuala Lumpur.Overall an enjoyable stay.
- NMathew (8/5): Good service apartment - We stayed in a 2 bed room apartment, nice large living rooms n kitchen . However they have a only one common bathroom.
We arrived a little early, the staff at reception was not that friendly.
All in all this is a good option when you are traveling with family or business as a team or with friends since the living and kitchens helps better option than standard hotel rooms.
- rockie03 (2/5): U GET WHAT U PAY FOR.......HERE.....not much - D Villa residence .. SAD place to stay, but if on a budget and looking for 2 bed roomed apartment , with free wifi and only 20 minutes walk to City centre there aren't many places to choose from, the wifi was so hit and miss some times it worked well sometimes we couldn't get it , I complained at least 8 times, then it when off for 3 days over Xmas ,it was applauding service, the team behind reception had very bad communion and customer service skills . Most hotels have a postal service, Not even postal services for posting cards or letters, was told they didn't do that, then we found a mail box outside the front of the hotel, Very tired and poorly laid out apartments , kitchens, old, smelly, nothing to cook with , only 1 air-con remote for 3 rooms . Nice large swimming pool , but mind the sharpe broken tiles in and around the edge as I cut my big toe really badly and hardy any space to relaxing around it , most staff are friendly happy people but you don't no if they are telling you the truth when u complain, like I did , we were told our room was ready, it was not ready, the drain in bathroom sink leaked and had no plug, all had to be changed, while moving in, wifi didn't work when we got to the room, they had to change the router, cleaner turned up at 5pm on first day after we had been out all day to clean our room , far to late for us .
- 52zakiahm (6/5): An average place to stay with family. - The apartment was spacious. The rooms were clean. It has a big bathroom. Comfortable for a family stay. Equipped with a microwave oven, a refrigerator, and basic cooking utensils. Nice pools. Bad breakfast. Limited menus. The dishes were tasteless.
- mohamedv327 (8/5): Really Nice! - Excellent place for our budget. Stayed there for 9 days with family. We chose 2 room apartment with breakfast which was really good for us! But could be improved if many varieties were included in the breakfast. We got free WiFi throughout our stay. Everyday room was cleaned and staffs were really helpful. It has got a nice swimming pool
- AJAY_TRIPADV (6/5): Average place at average pay - Dvilla is a decent (neat, clean, wifi) place. Dont expect anything special here and all things function on a star hotel basis. You get the feeling everywhere - No lobby area, rude gaurds to be requested to 'open the gym for guests'. Average room with strong napthalene ball smell in bathrooms, about 3-5 items buffet breakfast. It all functions, so I guess this is what you get for an average and not too pricey place.
To its advantage, it is centrally located on Jalan ampang, near ampang park LRT. Its also self sustaining and has all that is required within its complex - pharmacy, restaurant, mom&pop store, laundromat, pool, gym, sauna etc.
- Jacky (8/5): Very spacious and comfortable Hotel - Very spacious and comfortable Hotel, although a little bit far from public transport. The 2-bed room is beyond our expectation. Nice staff.
- AWAD (6/5): the highest 2/3 star only - Its not so great/some staff are not helpful, information not so clear, you have to ask.
- Ring0 (4/5): Hospitality is not the name of the game here! - Except for the cleaning staff, the rest of the staff are extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. The receptionists are particularly unwelcoming. We had an urgent delivery from Fedex and we asked the receptionist to please call our room number when the delivery arrived. We sat in our room the entire day waiting for the call. Fedex then contacted us and told us that the receptionist refused to sign for the parcel. This we understand but he could have called us. So we had to catch a taxi to the Fedex office to collect our parcel instead. This mission took us over 2 hours as it was peak traffic time.
Needless to say that there was no such thing as an apology.
The swimming pool area was very disappointing as there is no space for any loungers or comfortable chairs with umbrellas. The space around the pool is about 4 square meters...so there is no space to lie down and catch some rays. Also there are no restaurant/social bar facilities or room service etc.
We also asked for an extra hour for a late check out and we were quoted 150 ringet.....it was 260 ringet per night!
Apart from that the hotel is clean and it is conveniently located to the Thai embassy where we had business to conduct.
Would we stay there again? No....we moved on to another hotel instead and the difference in attitude and the accommodation was remarkable. Not to mention that it was cheaper.
- houzall (6/5): Just Ok - This hotel is nice and simple, very near to KLCC and easy to get a taxi. We had an apartment with 2 room and it was very spacious. The furniture is a bit out dated but, compare to the price it should be ok. The breakfast is bad and they should improved on the verity and taste.
- bri_traveller_11 (8/5): Perfect for family or friends - Location is bit far away from train station ( 10 mins walk) and petronas tower (20 mins walk)
- well maintained rooms and quick service considering it is a service apartment
- please note that there is only one bathroom for the 2 bedroom apartment ( that was the only problem I could find)
- breakfast is arranged in a small hotel in the ground floor, you have other options in the surroundings to choose from if time is on your side
- SAMEER ASHFAQ (6/5): room with reasonable price - Its OK
- 307ahmadt (8/5): Nice - It is so family hotel and I loved it. It is so comfurtable with a good price and big apartments. The location of the hotel is so great a lot of places are near from your not on foot for sure loool. Overall the hotel is not fancy but it is great.
- Kim Foo (4/5): A very run down Inn - 1st time staying here. It looks more like an inn rather than a hotel, very run down, from the reception area to the room and to the cafe where we had breakfast. Choice for breakfast was very limited.
For the same price, we will not return but go for the other hotel which is suppose to be our 1st choice - we are glad to know that they have upgraded to include wifi now.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel are near to KL Center. - Hotel romm was not good..if you want to go take deluxe sute..for nice view and good room quality.
- Firoz (8/5): Very nice suite located in the heart of KL. - The hotel is good and economically reasonable. The location is a huge plus as it's in the heart of city and at walking distance from Petronas Twin Towers (15 min walk ~ 1.5 km) & KLCC Mall. We opted for double bedroom suite and the suite is very nicely maintained and its quite spacious. It contains all necessary stuff and one can even look forward to some instant cooking as hotpot, microwave and few utensils including cutlery is provided.
- Oi Mei (6/5): Goods but only 1 toilet for 2 bedrooms. - A present stay. But only have one toilet sharing for 2 bedrooms.
- rozita (8/5): A nice place to stay - Thank your for allowed my daughter to check-in as im not able to do so
- Gregg (6/5): Doing A Thai Visa Run - After reading "poor" reviews of this hotel, I picked it because it was directly across the street from the Royal Thai Embassy... I needed to extend my business visa and change my son's visa to an efucation visa because we are living in Thailand... From the minute we got there, the front desk staff helped me with making calls for free to my attorney in Thailand.... Then when we checked in later that day, the room was clean and looked right into the Embassy.. I had a issue with additional papers needed and they printed up my docs for free and gave me a free late checkout the next day because I couldnt pick up our visas until 4 pm.... And the city center was a kilometer from the Petronas Towers so very centrally located... Overall, a great choice for people on a budget!!!!!
- matthew (4/5): Basic hotel - This hotel suits Muslims as the amenities reflects. The breakfast quality is rather poor . I would consider this hotel as 3-star category.
- Lee (6/5): Average - Average and no fuss for the price
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good family hotel..however little away from klcc nd bukit bintang..etc
- Verified traveler (6/5): Excellent Location for Embassy Row - The 1st impressions were nice, but trying to sleep there, the shortcomings became apparent. Simply, the mattress, pillows and linens. the trifeca for a good night sleep, were all sub par. The Blankets didnt have the sleeve cover that all hotels use, they just sandwich it between two sheets, so naturally through the course of the night it is slipping out all over the place. Mattress comfort was poor and the pillows were horribly soft and unsupportive. Otherwise the rooms was quite OK, but picked up a lot of noise from the hallways.
- Mezza (4/5): Close to Petronas Towers. Very run down hotel. - When we got to our room, the safe was broken, the airconditioning in the lounge room was broken, At night I woke up to the bedroom flooding with water from the airconditioner. So now we have no airconditioning. Buffet breakfast was inedible. There were 4 of us and no one ate anything. The lift broke down atleast 3 times in two days. The only positive to this hotel is its proximity to Petronas towers.
- Stuart (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok Hotel close to centre of KL, be careful of the - We used the Hotel as a stop over for one night so we could shop and see the buildings at night before going to airport next day. Pool seems good although we didn't use it, room was only OK after being at Avani Sepang resrt for 8 days it was very plain.
- Will (8/5): - Facilities: Tired; Value: Bargain; Service: Good;
- Catherine (8/5): - Facilities: Everyday; Value: Affordable; Service: Professional, Friendly; Cleanliness: Pleasant;
Reception were incredibly accommodating and helpful
- jeff tan (8/5): Good escape - Good service and relaxing room.
Fairly to catch a cab to the airport.
- Matt (6/5): An OK room, but poor service - OK, I'll try only to state the facts and hold the opinions...
We stayed 4 nights and booked a Deluxe Double.
Have to turn on a switch for the hot water and wait for a shower that's Luke warm at best.
No toothbrush or toothpaste. No hand towels. No slippers. (Basic essentials for any hotel).
Phoned reception for their help to book a taxi for early next morning; they gave me a number to call myself. (I thought this was standard service for hotels). I managed to find the Easy Taxi app which is great.
Staff fob you off so that they don't have to deal with you. The king bed we requested was not available the night we checked in. Got told we would be upgraded to an apartment the next day. Yeah right.
In my experience, the staff didn't want to know.
- Skylark (8/5): Roomy 2 bed apartment - This was a late booking so I wasn't expecting too much. The apartment was a little bit tired looking however the beds were clean crisp and comfortable. The staff couldn't have been more helpful getting us into a room earlier than planned (for extra RM 150) as we (2 adults and 2 kids under 12) were so exhausted and needed to sleep. The location was reasonable with a 5 to 10min walk to Ampang Park LRT station, approx 20 min to the Petronas towers. The breakfast was a bonus as we weren't expecting it. The pool was clean and quiet with a view to the towers.
- HKTPhuket (6/5): Nice stay but WIFI availability is a MUST nowadays - My stay was OK. For the breakfast or food in general this "hotel" is only for emergency. In general I was happy. I went to KL to visit the Thai Embassy and this Hotel is just accros the street so perfectly located. What is absolutely ashaming is that there was only availability to the WIFI when you obtained the password from the Pizza restaurant nect to the lobby. NO WIFI from the Hotel and NOT anywhere in the ROOMS.
- geta PRICE (10/5): Genuine Value - I have visited KL about 20 times in the last 15 years and have always struggled to find suitable acommodation. This hotel is now top of my list. The cost was modest. The 2 bedroom (about 100 sq mtr) condotel was renovated to an acceptable standard. It was equpped with all the major items to a reasonable rather than wasteful standard. The location is a thousand times better than Little India, which is in a similar price range. The staff were fine. The included breakfast while not exotic was fine.
Thank you.
- Lisa (6/5): - Facilities: Tired; Value: Economical; Service: Below average; Cleanliness: Clean;
Reception staff were not very helpful
- Mani (6/5): Handy hotel for family with children - There is plenty of room in the 2-bedroom apartments. We had a comfortable and quiet stay on the 10th floor. Air conditioning was noisy and not terribly efficient. To the closest train station it is a 10 min walk by foot and in a further 5 min one can walk to the Petronas towers. So all in all a handy location.
- lesley (10/5): - Facilities: Above average; Value: Bargain; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Spotless;
great little convenience stores downstairs
- shankar (4/5): Complaint - What was agreed not provided. We reached hotel in the midnight. one o the room bulb burst and hence no electricity connection for AC room. Changed room but could not acommadate 4 persons as they could provide extra bed at that point in time. when we try to explain at the time of exit, no one seems to take responsibility of not meeting the statndards. I stringly feel that clients are take for ride. had it been any other hotel, they would refuld the stay cost. You must take it seriously and try to compensate what we have undergone during our stay. Your action or reaction to this complaint will reflect on your reputation,
