- Anna Teresa (5/5): If you have good expectations about 4 start hotel this one not the good choices for you. - Stratégie and bell boy was so nice and helpful. The room not sound proofing , you clearly hear all sound from outside. The room is not like on internet , the breakfast is not like 4 star hotel . The reception not professional at all , you need to training your staff .All food is spicy and Tableware not really hygienic.

2. 3 night stay and the breakfast never change. Same food every day
3. I was injured because of the nail at the restaurant during breakfast time. My heels was bleeding, ask receptionist for plaster, but the hotel dont have one, even first aid kit also not available
4. The lobby (covered) for visitor was occupied for parking. When heavily rain the grab cannot drop us at the lobby because of visitor car park their car there. At the end we are wet because of the rain

Inside the room there was a different smell from some horrible detergent or refresher. Breakfast was traditional indonesian, not very fresh. Staff weren’t very friendly or good at communicating in english.

Laundry was ridiculously expensive. The front desk said to order ride to airport ourselves, because the one taxi company wasn't yet open in the morning.

- Jess (1/5): Avoid - Nothing Western travellers avoid at all costs, this place was disgusting. They market the hotel as ‘up market’ but it is incredibly tired and dirty. We originally booked a deluxe room but it was too dirty to stay in - no windows (unlike the ones advertised), flies and mould in the shower and dirty walls. We complained and they refused a free upgrade. We paid for the upgrade to a superior as the other was too dirty to sleep in but this was also dirty - hairs and toenails under the bed, stains on the sheet, an ant in the bed and dripped food and other liquids on the walls.

- Hidde (6/5): Verrookt en verouderd hotel. Hopen dat je hier geen ehbo nodig hebt. - De accommodatie was netjes en de prijs was goed voor wat je krijgt. Het ontbijt was behoorlijk uitgebreid maar wel typisch Indonesisch. De kamer stonk naar rook bij binnenkomst. De badkamer is erg verouderd waardoor er permanente smerigheid te zien is. Het personeel is verre van vriendelijk. Wij hadden een ongeluk gehad op straat waardoor mijn been open was en onder het bloed zat. Wij kwamen binnen in het hotel en de receptioniste ging vrolijk verder met kletsen zonder naar ons te kijken. Toen ze na 5 minuten klaar was vroegen we om een ehbo kit omdat onze bagage nog niet gearriveerd was werd er simpelweg nee gezegd. Wel kon iedereen je lekker aanstaren maar niemand nam de moeite om te helpen. Echt totaal niet gastvrij.

- John Anak (1/5): Different than what was booked - The breakfast was okay. Housekeeping came daily. The guard helped to escort us to the grabcar when it rained. Booked a room with window but was given no window room. I paid extra for a room with window so I deserved my window room, plus was given a room at the old building. Asked to change room but was given a really judgy look and was told to wait till other people check out. Repeated for two days and we gave up. The aircon had a funky smell. Toiletries were given only one when there are two person staying. Asked for top up but never gotten it. Asked for hairdryer for two days in a row but never gotten it. It’s just “We will check” over and over. Not sure if it was the hotel or the website to blame but sadly and surely was not a pleasant stay. The pictures on the site must be updated to not let people be disappointed.

- Shanthini (7/5): Okay for short stay - The staff was accommodating for late check ins. Bedsheets was not that clean. Room smells a little. Aircond takes a longer time to get cold.
- Fatin (6/5): Below average hotel. - The breakfast was very delicious.. Various choice and fresh.. The location also good.. They dont have the 'do not disturb' sign to avoid thr cleaner come into our room. When we came back, they have cleaned our room which is dangerous if we left our valuable things inside. The toilet looks old but still functional. The main things that i don't like is limited plug point, we cannot charge our phones and other electronics item.

- Salleh (8/5): mantap padu and very good - The price is reasonable and the staff was very calm and cool even though im a lil bit pissed off with the map direction on the way to hotel.both of them (man/woman working infront) are still smiling and entertain me until i enter the room.You have the great staff and as a senior logistic manager of Petronas Malaysia,i will recommended this hotel to all my staf which are sending to pertamina indonesia for working purpose.BTW....the food and your maintenance guy was superb.All timer worker.lol😁 but very respectfully.Before this I always check in at Grand Mercury as a place me and my staff but now for more budget control,i will suggest your hotel to the high top management to put as priority hotel if any requirement needed in indonesia. Pls update your location direction.

- Oli (3/5): Sorry to the Grand Sakura Team if this review seems harsh, but I really didn’t enjoy my stay here. A lot should be done - Many of the staff are very pleasant and trying their best. PLEASE READ.
I have 4 big issues with this place:
1. WiFi. “High-speed internet” was virtually unusable in my first room. Very annoying as I had to work while I stayed at the hotel so had to spend hours sat in the lobby as the WiFi didn’t work in my room. After complaining, I was upgraded to a suite where the WiFi was better, but still poor.
2. Possible scam? Upon check out, they tried to charge me 20,000Rp for drinking a water bottle in the room. I never drunk it, instead one of the cleaning staff had drunk it. Luckily I took a video of this when it happened and I showed it to the man on reception to prove that I didn’t drink it. It took a little bit of back and forth but he finally agreed to give me my whole deposit back.
3. Smells of cigarettes everywhere. This hotel has an indoor smoking area in the restaurant (which they leave the door open to, so the non-smoking part of the restaurant also stinks of cigarettes while I’m eating breakfast… there’s also big ash trays in every corridor of the hotel which smell and are frankly disgusting. No high quality hotel will let guests smoke in the corridors….
4. Facilities are subpar. The only nice area of the hotel is the lobby. They clearly spent a lot of money making the lobby look nice for the Booking.com photos. The rooms are not good enough. My initial room didn’t even have a window. It felt like a prison cell. The gym is TERRIBLE, which is why they don’t post any pictures of it on Booking.com which I think is MISLEADING TO GUESTS. Here’s some advice, spend a little bit less money trying to make the lobby look nice and a bit more money making the gym, pool, rooms, and restaurant nicer… because that’s what people ACTUALLY care about.

Breakfast is very rich, they have a business center too, not sure why the hotel is only 3-star, maybe due to it's relatively small size or the immediate surroundings (location is centric but outside street is a bit dusty and hectic). But the experience is 5 star, at least when staying in an executive room.

- Bianca (4/5): An absolute health hazard - Warm water in the shower When I got into my bedroom, it smelt of other peoples sweat and smoke. The bed pillows smelt of someone else I was so tired from being in the jungle. I just dealt with it. I asked for some food and I found dim sum on the menu. I took one mouthful and it was putrid - off meat that had gone bad. I Spat it out and I just eat the crisps in the basket, only to find out the next morning they actually weren’t complimentary for a four star hotel!
In the morning I went down to breakfast and the complimentary breakfast was absolutely disgusting. There was food all over peoples tables flies all over the noodles. It was an absolute hazard. I had one piece of toast which was the safest option.
There is no excuse for this. I have just come back from the jungle and eatery’s there were simple but clean.
This is a four star hotel and they have the facilities to actually be quite nice. What a shame I would not go back to this hotel unless I wanted to get worms! Or end up in hospital with some form of food poisoning.

I am also very grateful that there is a convenient shop across the street, at least there's still a thing to do outside the hotel room. The breakfast is not too bad too, just the coffee tasted weird my dad said. Well there's a few:
1. The interior looks different than it is showed in website.
2. The room is not in the main building, separated in different block.
3. Request not fulfilled- we don't have rooms with connecting door, and in fact our rooms were not next to each other (why bother? Because we shared 1 socket adaptor to charge our phone/tablets/watch. So it was difficult.)
4. Staff just replied with "we don't have adaptor provided" when we raised our concern about room near each other.
5. Similar breakfast everyday, and similar weird tasting coffee served.
- frickyhongkong (10/5): Great hotel and good location - The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station and shopping mall..the hotel staff are all nice n friendly..we had an issue with the air con n they immediately upgraded us to an executive room..the breakfast buffet was quite good but wish they had more western food..outside the hotel one block away is a very nice restaurant called kopi..all local delicious food..if you walk straight out of the hotel n cross the street n walk down the street you will run into the local fruit n vegetables market..all fresh and inexpensive..I would definitely stay in this hotel again
