Corey (10/5): Charming Great Service - What a charming, lovely, beautifully restored, historic adobe hacienda built in 1800 as part of a fortified Spanish settlement in Taos, New Mexico. Sequestered behind high adobe walls on a quiet hill overlooking the town and the Sangre de Cristo Range, this bed-and-breakfast features Southwestern-style rooms with handcrafted furniture, wood-burning fireplaces, and private patios. It is owned and operated by the congenial, informative, and endly fascinating Peggy Osterfoss. Who is also a stellar cook. Inn at La Loma Plaza is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is ideally situated as it is a mere15-minute walk from the historic Taos Plaza. I absolutely adored my stay here, but I suppose some folks looking for a Ritz Carlton experience might find the accommodations rustic. I found the Inn at La Loma Plaza enchanting.

Catherine (6/5): Historic visual delight with personal comfort failings. - Mattress & linens were good. Room space was fine. Kiva fireplace nice. Steam shower OK, but very small and dark. Awful bed pillows that had zero loft. Really hard for side sleeper to get enough support. Funky vessel sink in bath had faucet that poured fast, hit the sink, and followed sink shape up to soak guest. Sink was also weirdly placed, and I had difficulty (5’6”) standing on my tip toes just to rinse my face over sink. While expecting oddities for very old historic space (and lovely timbered ceiling) it was disappointing to have modern features (pillows/plumbing) fail.

heather (6/5): Never felt welcome - Historical building The staff and the room felt small for the money. Never received such an unwelcome reception from the man behind the counter. I said hello and smiled and he just looked at me and didn’t say a word. I had to request he help me with my suitcase. Worst reception ever. Also had to play phone tag to confirm my credit card number, which seemed unnecessary since I booked through this site. Breakfast service was also not welcoming. I kept hearing the microwave so I just think everything is cooked once and reheated. We smelled bacon at one point in the morning but when we arrived it was overcooked and disappointing. At one point the lady even seemed to yell at a foreign guest when she couldn’t understand her. Also the room claimed to have a Mountain View—this is technically true but it was a very small distant view

The LaLoma Suite had plenty of room, a nice kitchenette, a lovely corner fireplace and a WONDERFUL king size bed- great sleeping! The fabulous breakfasts by Miss Roscinda were just perfect. We were there for a peaceful rejuvenation, and that is exactly what we got!

I have poor night vision, so arriving after dark and navigating to the entrance was a little difficult. I would have appreciated a little more help finding the entrance. The "entrance" sign was a little above the main door, not well-lit, and we missed it. The room was small, which wasn't a problem. But I didn't know the queen bed would be a "micro queen". Perhaps my fault, but I thought a "queen" was a queen. Stairs up to the small closet and bathroom were a little awkward. Maybe a well-placed night light would help.

Michael (2/5): A horrible deal for the $325 price. - It was quiet. Not much good to say about it. The worst thing is we are elderly and had to bring our luggage up a very long set of stairs outdoors when another entrance was not pointed out to us which would have been far easier.

It was like a studio apartment. The best part was Winston , a beautiful spaniel. There are no Ubers ! If you do not have a car , don’t visit Taos.

Rebecca (8/5): Welcoming personality property for a comfortable stay. - A well-located historical property. Easy to walk up to the plaza although pavement spotty and dark at night. Gardens and porch were lovely. We were well looked after by Rosenda who was very friendly and made a great breakfast. Room was quiet and bed comfy. Huge selection of dvds / videos to select from and player in room - a nice touch. Much is made of the innkeeper Peggy but she’s only there at weekends. Imagine it feels more vibrant when she is there. The room was cute and quirky but a bit tired, though clean. The rug in the bathroom was scruffy. Entry into the car park would be tight if you had a very large car.

Scharee (6/5): Could be a show place. Not for me though. - Hum was kind enough to move me to a first floor room. Never saw him again. Rosanda was great for breakfast, really connected to her routine. Not happy with any request for any change or more, kind "may I please have some ice?" Nice to talk to. The fountain to the left on my suite room could have been a lovely feature. Instead it was an unkept mess and filthy. Little detail things through out the property needed repair or cleaning. With the exception of Rosanda in the kitchen there was on around to help or answer questions. One evening I came to the desk to get ice. The tall young man at the desk was not too pleased to be bothered.

Die Betreiber müssen anscheinend sparen, da es nur abgezähltes Brot und Bagels und ein Ei fürs Rührei pro Person gab. Auch der Bowl mit Früchten viel extrem klein aus. Zudem gab es noch eine alte unfreundliche Köchin, der ihr Job anscheinend keine Freude bereitet und uns das magere Frühstück verdorben hat. Gourmet Frühstück wie beworben ist ein Witz. Sauberkeit des Zimmers lies zu wünschen übrig. Bettwäsche fleckig und schwarze Haare im Bett. Kaffeemaschine dreckig und Ungeziefer in der Küche. Toilette in Küche und ohne Tür.

Brent (7/5): Very nice stay and a good nights sleep - The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The property was beautiful with a great grassy area to play with my dog. The breakfast was very good. My wife went to bed and was surprised by a Roach in her hair. We think it was only a single roach, and understandably this is a very old historic building and property, but management should step up the pest control.

The guy at check-in didn't speak much, but i think he was shy. We had a fireplace in our rom!!!! We loved sitting outside on the chairs in front of our room. They had videos we could borrow to watch in our room. We reached the place from the back and didn't really know how to get in our where to go. It may be the fault of Google map, I'm not sure.

Joannah (9/5): Good setting for a one night stay or even for a couple more days. - The setting was beautiful, the “living room area” was lovely, the bathroom had a coffee maker and all the proper bathroom things, etc. Although the breakfast menu, given to us the night before, was substantial and we could choose whatever we wanted, by the time we got to our chosen breakfast time at 9:30, the main dish was stale, and I think probably microwaved after it had been cooked either the night before or earlier that day. We just should’ve chosen the scrambled eggs rather than the “breakfast enchilada“. That was pretty minor. The property was just really beautiful.

The grounds and building were just beautiful and historic and well maintained. Super comfortable bed and well stocked room. As great as all of that was, the breakfast may have been the true star! Made to order and homemade and every single thing we ordered was delicious. There was nothing not to like.
