Manja (9/5): Luxuriösester Aufenthalt, den wir je gehabt haben. - Lage am Bosporus grandios. Frühstück hervorragend. Zimmer und Terrasse einfach toll. Schön ruhig. Jederzeit wieder, da einfach außergewöhnlich und luxuriös! Einzelne Personen beim Personal nicht ganz Luxus-Segment. Aber trotzdem sehr gut.

Ayse (9/5): Ons verblijf was heel goed en wij zullen zeker bij een volgend stedentrip weer hierheen komen! - Bij aankomst hebben we gemerkt dat ons kamer niet voor 4 personen was. Maar dit hebben ze heel snel opgelost! De ligging was perfect en personeel was heel netjes en aardig.

Завтрак отличный и кровать идеальна для сна Душ-лейку давно не чистили, плохо проходила вода. Сломана розетка в ванной, сушились феном в комнате. Дурацкое правило не ходить в тапочках на завтрак, люди в шлепках прекрасно шлепали, а меня попросили переобуться.

AlexLa (9/5): Perfect Instanbul Holiday! - The Hotel is perfectly placed in Beşiktaş part of Istanbul. It gives you the luxury feeling straight away from the very first step on its territory. Personnel is truly helpful and they are everywhere you might need their support. Easy and hospital check-in with all the needed information. The room was also in a totally nice condition with a view to Bosphorus. Enjoyed our stay! Maybe, Lobby bar could be a bit more quick and the person should be there all the time. This is the only thing that comes now to my mind and it is not crucial at all!

Emanuel (9/5): Great hotel, superb location, great value-for-money! - Fabulous location, almost in the backyard of the Dolmabache Palace :) . The rooms are really nice, very much attention to the detalis, and they are very comfortable, as well. The view to the Bosphorus is amazing, and the confort of the bed and room in general is great! I consider it a great value for money! SPA area looks fantastic, but when we arrived, the sauna didn't work well, needs maintenance, music didn't work, etc. And overall the variaty and quality of the Breakfast can be slightly improved.

Erdal (3/5): Sehr schönes Hotel mit nicht passendem Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis. - Zimmerausstattung war super. Das Hotel und die Materialien sind sehr hochwertig. Das Bett war sehr gemütlich. Lage ist sehr zentral gelegen direkt bei Besiktas Carsi nah. Nur der Zugang mit dem Auto ist etwas kompliziert und auch sehr viel Verkehr. Frühstücksauswahl war in Ordnung aber nichts besonderes. Bei so einem Hotel hätten wir mehr erwartet. Was unterscheidet ein 200 EUR Hotel von einem 500 EUR Hotel? Das sind natürlich Details. Zimmer und Material Qualität definitiv 500 EUR Hotel. Aber Service, Probleme und vorgefallenes leider nicht mal 200 EUR Hotel. Wir haben ein Zimmer gebucht und haben ein Angebot für ein Upgrade für ein Zimmer mit direktem Meerblick angenommen, was nicht günstig war. 1. Klimaerwärmung hat nicht funktioniert, es kam nur nur kalte Luft raus, Die Techniker haben etwa 1h versucht. Daraufhin haben die uns ein anderes Zimmer angeboten, mit hohem Aufpreis, das kam sehr komisch rüber, wegen Verkauf versuch. was wir abgelehnt haben und ein Zimmer in gleicher Kategorie verlangt. Der Vertretungsdirektor war mit einer angeblich erfreulichen Nachricht, dass wir höherwertigeres Zimmer doch ohne Aufpreis bekommen. Dies hat uns natürlich sehr erfreut. Als wir auf unser neues Zimmer geführt worden sind, waren wir richtig schockiert, da das ein kompletter Seitenblick war, was auf die Dächer geschaut hat und man ganz wenig Meer gesehen und kleine Terasse hat. Wir haben sofort gesagt, das wir dieses Zimmer definitiv nicht wollen und einfach ein Zimmer mit der gleichen Kategorie mit direktem Meerblick. Das ist dann auch so geschehen und am Ende haben wir das andere Zimmer erhalten, was sehr gut war. Doch da hat die Erwärmung des Klimas auch nicht funktioniert, was dann nach einem Technikereinsatz und Wannerwechsel dann nachträglich aufgehoben worden ist. Auch der Fernseher ist nicht immer Rund gelaufen und hatte immer wieder hänger, bei beiden Zimmern 2. Auch waren 2 mal meine speziellen Augentropfen verschwunden nach der Aufräumung mit mehreren Kapseln. Auf Nachfrage wusste keiner was davon. Auch waren Sachen von uns auf einmal im Koffer, oder auch verlegt usw. Ganz komisch, haben uns nicht vertrauensvoll gefühlt. Servicemitarbeiter im Frühstücksbereich waren auch nicht unbedingt freundliche. Hotel ist super, aber es sind die Details letztendlich was den Unterschied macht. Wir werden nicht mehr kommen, das das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis absolut nicht passt. Auch wurde nicht versucht eine Entschädigung für die Unanehmlichkeiten zu gewähren. Nur die Guest Relations Dame war sehr bemüht und freundlich aber ohne Ergebnis.

Ilyas (10/5): Uitmuntend! - Onthaal en gastvrijheid is top, ik heb er geen woorden voor, reeds enkele jaren in Istanbul ons vast hotel om te boeken. Steeds perfect onthaald geweest, als tijd oog voor detail. We hebben een gratis upgrade gekregen naar een kamer met Bosphurus uitzicht en balkon!!! geen woorden hiervoor! Ze maakten altijd tijd en aandacht vrij voor ons kinderen. Kinderen kregen weer extra's. Mevr. Cansu vd guest relations heeft de kinderen extra blij gemaakt door enkele verrassingen te sturen naar ons kamer. Ik zal nooit een ander hotel nemen in Istanbul! niets, alles is TOP

Rohan (8/5): Lovely property by the Bosphorous - definitely recommend! - The property is beautiful and well located and the staff was great. The breakfast was great. We had a lovely stay. The push to upgrade our room was a bit annoying. We were offered paid upgrades repeatedly before arriving and at check in and taken to see another room before going to our room. Makes you feel that the room you have chosen is not great.
nycexotictraveler (10/5): Excellent Step Sibling to the Four Seasons & Kempinski and More Intimate. - Really impressed with the Shangri-La. It is the cheaper cousin of the Four Seasons for & Kempinski on the same stretch. While not cheap, it is less expensive, more intimate, closer to old town and the rooms are oriented towards the spectacular views. The service from the doorman, check in, room service, spa and fitness center could not have been better. Our room had a balcony facing the Bosphorus which was magical-- sunrises, blood moon, prayer call. The furnishings and appointments of the room are excellent. Not a bad thing to say about the Shangri-La.

FAA1996 (10/5): Excellent Hotel in Good Location - Hotel was very nice, large and everything exudes luxury. Service was up to par with property. Room was large and had a side view of the bosphorus, of you plan to spend a lot of time in your room I would suggest a room with direct Bosphorus view. While we could enjoy the view from our room we were told that we could not take pictures as our room overlooked the president's office or something. (I thought the president worked in Ankara). There's a nice indoor pool, gym, and the included breakfasts and the afternoon teas we had were delicious. There's a lot of good choices in Istanbul, but this is a solid choice for the right price.
fu718 (10/5): Beautiful hotel, impeccable service - What a beautiful property and the staff were wonderful. We spent 3 nights here after 2 nights in the old town and really enjoyed being in a more peaceful location by the water. We had a partial view of the Bosphorus, and the room was lovely. The restaurants were great and they had breakfast till 1pm on the weekend which was amazing if you wanted a relaxing stay. They had a lovely Easter themed afternoon tea too which was delicious. The pool and spa areas were lovely and quiet when we were there - we had the pool to ourselves which was a treat. And we could get the ferry from outside the hotel to the Old town which was perfect. It's also right next to Dolmabahce palace which is walkable, so make sure you don't miss visiting the palace as it is beautiful. We loved our stay and would happily return when we go back to Istanbul in the future.

Es gibt leider immer weniger Hotels auf diesem Niveau - würde es in einem Atemzug mit dem Peninsula in Hongkong, dem Savoy in London oder dem Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok nennen. amyD44SS (6/5): Skip shangri la and try somewhere else - Stayed here for a night with my family after staying at the park Hyatt a few days prior in Istanbul. I would recommend park Hyatt over shangri la and it’s not as expensive. At shangri la the service was not great, long waits at restaurants before we were attended. For room service they didn’t bring any water with the dinner. The bathrooms smart mirror didn’t work. When we requested a cab to the airport, they said it’d be 180 euros whereas uber was 70 with the nice big van. The location isn’t great, from the restaurant you only see the ferry and there’s so much traffic around the hotel that it is harder to get places. And there’s no where great to walk to. The presidents house is next to the hotel so there’s extra security and traffic. The bathroom holder was cracked and broken. The international restaurant was only ok although a decent enough selection. All in all wouldn’t recommend, plenty of other great options in the city.

Comme c’était notre anniversaire de mariage, ils nous ont préparé un gateau avec une carte de voeux et quelques friandises. Généralement quand je voyage avec mon enfant on lui laisse dans la chambre une peluche ou des activités pour l’occuper pendant le séjour, là nous n’avons rien trouvé pour lui. J’ai demandé 1 grand verre de lait pour mon fils comme j’avais oublié de lui acheter avant de rentrer à la chambre, on m’a ramené 2 verre de lait qu’on m’a facturé 20€.
