- Jerrie (1/5): Do not book this hotel - Not much When we checked in, we was very rude. Did not want to look at my receipt that I already paid for the hotel in full Syd. It didn’t show in his system and he double charged me and then I had to fight to get a refund. The hotel was loud there was no supervision in the room above us. We couldn’t sleep we complained to Will and then a gentleman named Kirby. They did nothing for us. Kirby hung up on my sister when she was voicing her concerns was just a horrible day. Worst day I’ve ever had anywhere.

They removed towels without replacing them and removed the bath mat. It was fine, and would have been a better value if I had needed the kitchenette. Unfortunately I didn’t need those amenities, so the price was a little too high for what a short trip.

- Tiffani (8/5): Home2 Suites is a pretty cool place to stay. - I liked the location because I felt like I was tucked away. Which is a good thing. Not a lot of traffic & noise. I liked the layout of my room. I loved the full kitchen. Including the dishwasher! I loved the cabinets & shelves. Very spacious. Closet was nice & has 9 hangers. I needed just about all of them. lol. I like the TV that was on a swivel so I could adjust it to my liking. I liked the bathroom for the most part. The sink was my favorite thing about it. I also liked that the staff respected my “Please Do Not Disturb” sign that was on my door. I loved the selection of “goodies” that they have. Sodas, juices & water along with chips, candy & cookies. I was able to purchase Olly Gummies which helped me sleep a lot better. I didn’t like the shower at all. Very outdated. The shower head looked like something out of Shawshank. Old & very weak water pressure. 👎🏽 Not nearly enough space for my body wash, shave gel, etc. I hope they update the bathrooms. I absolutely hated the carts for the luggage. It was very small & oddly shaped. On my way out all of my luggage collapsed. Everyone stood around watching, but no one helped me. 😔 On my last night there I went to get ice from the ice machine. I walk into the area to find a beer bottle shattered! Glass was everywhere! I almost stepped on some glass. My footies got dirty & sticky from the beer that I stepped in. I notified the front desk. It was sometime after midnight. No response. I received a text after 7:30am saying “I will let the Houseman know. Thanks for the heads up!” Why wasn’t the glass cleaned up immediately? Another guest could’ve gotten hurt. That broken glass stayed there all night long & that is just unacceptable to me. Very disappointed by the lack of concern.

Also I accidentally booked the wrong friday thru booking.com , so the desk person changed it for me. But neither Hilton or booking.com have refunded my money for that wrong date.

- Claire (10/5): Fantastic deal! - Everything about the room was absolutely wonderful. It has to be the nicest room I've ever stayed in. If I have to make another trip to Pittsburgh I'm definitely coming back. And the free breakfast was really good as well! Probably the best I've had from a hotel as well. I appreciated the little snack section they had in the lobby as well. It was nice to be able to get stuff there instead of making our way to a gas station or something. Overall I would absolutely recommend coming here. A fantastic place for a good price!

- Renee (10/5): Excellent place to stay! Great Staff! - I was traveling for a dental appointment at a clinic 4 hours from our home. Our stay was perfect. Everything was clean and comfortable. My husband really enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was great. I was able to book an additional night easily in order to have a place to relax between appointments and a night of rest before the long drive home. The Inn was easy to find with GPS and having the restaurant within walking distance was perfect. There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.... possibly not having the sink disposal switch identified? because we each turned it on accidentally when trying to turn on the light in the kitchenette area.

We always stay in Home2 Suites because we need the space and full refrigerator for our special needs child. Our room smelled like dog and overuse of carpet deodorizer...not good for a family with allergies. There needs to be pet free rooms...people have allergies/asthma. The shower handle was broken. The bathroom sliding door was broken. The room temperature was very inconsistent with the ac/heater unit. Both days we were there, we had to smell someone in a unit under us smoking weed!..That is completely unacceptable. Breakfast was okay, but we've had better at other locations. We've definitely stayed in more updated and cleaner Home2 Suites.

Then I was told that there were no rooms available. The best they could do for me was to let me sleep on the couch in the lobby. At 11 p.m., I was forced to take an Uber and try to find somewhere else to stay. Never been treated so poorly before.

- JOSEPH (10/5): I am a regular - My wife and I along with other friends and family stay there on a regular basis. Grew up in the area, so it very convenient. Hotal room are always clean and the staff is wonderful.

- Amanda (8/5): - Room was pretty dirty—- old food left on the silverware in the kitchen, mildew around faucets and drain in bathroom sink (I myself cleaned), hair in shower, sticky bathroom floor, etc. the beds were clean though and the surfaces seemed clean. The pool was absolutely filthy. We weren’t picky people so I hate to mention these things because the front staff were AMAZING—- super friendly and helpful. They rooms had everything you needed the blackout shades were honestly heavenly. Room was quiet and AC worked great.

- Inspire17709694152 (10/5): Here for the Stay! A Nice Stay. - Our experience was enjoyable. General Manager, Jon Heimlich, who checked us in was very kind and informative and he gifted us with two bottles of water. I venture to say because of his leadership, we experienced such kindness from his staff. I watched Isatu handle a situation with a guest in the most kind and professional manner. I also had the opportunity to interact with Ian who was so friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The hotel is extremely clean, with a pool, small gym, laundry room and a very nice breakfast bar. We enjoyed the variety offered for breakfast. One other thing that made me proud were the recycling receptables. Kudos for that! Each day fresh apples were available at the front desk. How thoughtful.

- Norman (9/5): Nice stay in McCandless Corners! - The location was very convenient to the nearby highway and McCandless Corners shops and restaurants. The room temp controls were great; breakfast was excellent, and the staff was terrific! The pillows were too flat; would've liked foam pillows instead of the typical down pillows.

Some days everything is fresh and tasty and others. It’s barely edible. Would love to have a more consistent breakfast experience given that one of the reasons we like to book here is the included breakfast.

Actual check in went quickly. Nice spacious room and nice breakfast. Location was convenient for this trip. We will be back.

- David (3/5): Certainly not worth the price. - Bed was comfortable Ants on the counter in the kitchen area and the bathroom. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher and on the shelf upon arrival. Shower door is difficult to open. Water pressure in shower is weak.

Shower door in room needed maintenance and holders for shampoo/conditioner/body wash definitely not mounted to wall well at all. For price charged would have thought a little better in some areas.

Location is perfect for our visit First room - tv didn't work Second room - pocket door wouldn't come out of the wall (Ethan was able to temp fix) but maintenance never came and completed the fix. (But we weren't packing all our stuff to move again) we had to ask for them to clean the room, didn't really clean... just left towels - no TP had to ask and again Ethan to the rescue (he needs a raise) absolutely no water pressure... we stay here 2 - 3 times a year... this may be the last time.

The pool was shut down 1 full day we were there, & when they finally opened it, my small children & I were disgusted by the grey/green coloring & smell of the water! Plus they got a small amount in their mouths which was absolute filth!

- 763kacif (2/5): Sleepy, hungry, snd agitated - On the outside, the hotel was pretty and looked clean. It had a nice kitchenette area. However, that's where it ends. The pool was not that clean looking. It was more algae greenish, and I wondered about the chlorine levels. My son and I got a king room with a sleeper sofa. There were NO pillows or blankets for this sleeper sofa. I told my son I could call down and request some. He said not to worry about it. I looked in all the drawers to make sure. There's no closets either. The temperature of the room was uncomfortable. There were loud noises throughout the night. My teenager probably got a total of an hour sleep. There were banging noises. Roaring noises. He was born in Pittsburgh, and we are here visiting his paternal side of the family. I was told upon check-in that breakfast ended at 10 am. I showered, and we walked down at around 9:20 am. When I walked out of our room on 2nd floor, I noticed a HOLE in the wall right beside our room. I guess they were working on it through the night because IT WAS NOT there when we checked in the evening before. I assume it was most likely a source or one of the sources of noise that kept us awake. Who would be working on something like that while people sleep?!? When I made it to the lobby, I saw no breakfast. The lady told me that breakfast was over at 9. She said it ends at 10 on the weekends. She said that is a plaque by some door on the left somewhere that states times. Well, when you are TOLD at check-in that it lasts until 10 am, why would I be looking for a plaque somewhere?!?! Come on. Seriously? We checked-in on a Sunday. I imagine the person checking us in mistakenly told us the wrong time because it was technically still the weekend. However, I thought it was quite rude of that lady. I didn't ask about a sign. I was just telling her I WAS TOLD by the person checking us in what time. I worked at a Ramada Inn from 2004-2007 in Morgantown and also worked at the Holiday Inn on McKnight Road in Pittsburgh in 2007, by the way. I worked the front desk. I could give these "customer service reps" some pointers on being polite to customers. My son ended up eating leftover fried chicken from his cousin's graduation party the previous night for his breakfast. Originally, I was excited to stay in a hotel on Duncan. When my son was a baby, our house was on Duncan... a little further down the road in Allisom Park. I thought it would be a nice trip down memory lane. Instead, we are sleepy, hungry, and agitated.
