• Olivier (6/5): - Le lobby est bien aménagé et beau visuellement. La sensation de dépaysement est top. L'hôtel est peu loin de tout. Il y a un arrêt de bus à 5min à pied mais le bus ne passe qu'une fois par heure à peu près; et il faut compter au moins 30min de bus pour rejoindre la station. Le bâtiment n'est plus tout récent et aurait besoin d'être rénové notamment dans certaines parties intérieur mais aussi à l'extérieur.

• Lauren (9/5): The staff at this Ryokan truly made our stay! - The Onsen pools were extensive and in a very beautiful nature forest setting. Also the staff really went above and beyond to coordinate the shuttles as the location is a bit far for Kyoto sightsee-ing, but we came for the traditional Ryokan and that it was - with great meals and facilities! Some of the facilities were closed such as as the bar, and sauna mist bath, but it was still a very enjoyable experience, just be prepared to plan logistics of shuttle rides ahead, and also bring snacks or drinks, other than a vending machine, the Lawson is a good 30 minutes walk away.
• heather (7/5): Come for the healing waters, but bring your own food. - The traditional breakfast was something so neat to be experienced, and the private two person onsen was great for my cousin and I to share a tea over! The rooms were large. There was a disconnect with some of the staff members, sometimes they were giggling in back while people waited or were no where to be found while groups were checking in. They seem oblivious that anyone would want any kind of food at night - reluctant to call a taxi, tried to talk us out of it, talked another couple out of it while we were waiting - but not everyone can/wants to eat dinner at the restaurant on site and there is no delivery. You cannot book a cab yourself either so just ask at the front desk and be prepared to be rebuffed. Told me the change machine was not working when I asked how to use it and I saw someone after me use it just fine. Just- strange. The shuttles are absolutely packed and even if the front desk is keeping you for administrative issues they try to leave you there?

• Renate (1/5): Wij gaan nooit meer terug - Kort samengevat: wij boekten een kamer met (op de foto’s te zien) een bed, maar bij aankomst bleek er in onze kamer geen bed te bespeuren. De dame achter de receptie sprak geen woord Engels en kon niemand halen/roepen die dat wel kon. Als kers op de taart hadden wij gereserveerd in het restaurant om 19u, maar hadden zij de reservatie niet genoteerd. Het uiteindelijke eten (en het ontbijt) was walgelijk. Wij hebben veel te veel geld betaald voor deze ronduit schandalige ervaring. Ook na de check out (verplicht om 10u) kan je geen gebruik meer maken van de publieke of privé wellness.

• yukari (9/5): 美味しい食事と良い温泉 - 今まで、よくお正月に利用させてもらっていた。正月の料理はとても豪華で特別感があるが、今回は違う日なのでゴージャス感は無いが、量も適度で一品一品、美味しかった。手頃な値段で、満足度が高かった。 お風呂の温度も適温で、種類も多い。脱衣所も広めなのでゆったり感がある。 スタッフの方は、外国の方も居らっしゃるが、明るくて親切。 今まで、チェックイン後に部屋まで案内されたが、今回は無かった。 食事も、今までは完全な個室ではないが、区切られていてゆっくり出来たが、今回は、そういう区切りも無く、本当の大部屋での食事だった。 経営方針がだいぶん変わったのかな？ 韓国の方が多かったけど、入浴のマナーが全然なってなく、かけ湯もせずに、温泉に入られた時には、唖然とした。一応、大浴場に注意書きはあったが、あまり読まれているとは思えず。 注意書きは客室のテーブルの上に、お茶菓子の横にでも置いた方が読まれると思う。英語、フランス後、スペイン語、中国語と韓国語かな？ また、韓国の人達が、脱衣所で、撮影をしてる訳ではないが、常に携帯を触っているのは、嫌だった。あまり、こういうマナーが悪い方たちが増えるのは嫌だな。

• TOSHIAKI (8/5): 最高でした！ - ゆったりとしたスペースで設計されており、落ち着いた時間を過ごせました。今回は孫達の為にるり渓で2日間遊び宿泊する計画でした。老夫婦の希望で温泉旅館の素泊まりが選択出来たので、迷わず松園荘に決めました。食事は子供達が喜ぶ食べ物をスーパーで購入してお部屋で食べました。朝食はマクドナルドで朝マックです。孫達は大喜びで私達も嬉しかったです。お安く宿泊できて又、お世話になりたいと思っています。有り難うございました。 お布団は最初からセットして頂いてもらった方が良いかなと思います。

• Moeze (10/5): Un fabuleux Ryokan avec Onsen qui offrent un dépaysement total proche de Kyoto - Le dépaysement est total à environ 1h de Kyoto, les onsens sont très beaux. La chambre avec le onsen privée est géniale. Le diner et le petit déjeuner étaient délicieux, une véritable expérience culinaire. Le personel était très gentil et aux petits soins avec nous. Un excellent ryokan pour ceux qui veulent s'offrir un moment de détente après avoir visité Kyoto. Rien du tout, juste un avertissement pour les touristes qui pensent pouvoir visiter Kyoto depuis cet établissement, ce n'est pas du tout l'objectif. Au contraire, faites attention aux navettes en les réservant à l'avance si vous ne voulez pas payer un taxi.

Erst beim Betreten des Hotels bemerkt man die Größe des Gebäudes, es ist ein wahres Schlachtschiff mit diversen Nebengebäuden, Aufzügen, Gruppenräumen und einem riesigen Onsen-Bereich. Architektonisch erinnert der Komplex etwas an die Kommandozentrale von Dr. No aus James Bond - Filmen, das Ensemble ist wirklich beeindruckend! Alles absolut auf japanische Gäste eingerichtet, allerdings sprechen einige Mitarbeiterinnen gutes Englisch. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich, wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in diesem Hotel. Futons waren etwas dünn und damit sehr hart. Wir haben die Auflagen verdoppelt, dann war es sehr gut.
• Augustin (5/5): Incomprehensible towel policies - The hotel baths were excellent and very relaxing The incomprehensible restrictions on towels. I had just a tiny, thin towel in the room that I had to also take with me to the baths. After one use, it was all wet, so I had to go to the front desk to ask for another one. And this, each time I used the baths. Ridiculous
• Audrey (7/5): Bon bain mais... - Le bain était vraiment top. Il est pas très grand mais on peut rentré à deux dedans en se serrant. L'hôtel est très jolie. Le personnel est agréable et serviable même s'il ne parle pas anglais. L'hôtel en lui même est très beau et propre mais les chambres c'est une autre histoire. La zone douche sentait l'urine. Les murs étaient tachés. Et la moustiquaire coulissante était déboîté. L'accès n'est pas non plus super facile. Il y a deux trois navettes par jour et si vous ne la prenez pas il faut faire avec bus +marche ou taxi.
• Ruangvit (9/5): ชอบมากๆ มีโอกาสจะไปอีกครั้ง - เพราะวันที่ไปพักไม่ใช่วันหยุด ออนเซนเลยคนน้อยให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนเป็นออนเซนส่วนตัว ห้องอาบน้ำในตัวห้องพักก็สวยมาก ใกล้ชิดธรรมชาติ ตอนทานข้าวเช้า สามารถมองเห็นกวางจากทางหน้าต่างได้ ช่วงเวลาที่สามารถเข้าใช้บ่อออนเซนได้ ถ้าเขียนไว้ในใบแผนที่ที่แจกตอนเข้าพักด้วย จะสะดวกต่อชาวต่างชาติมากๆครับ อาหารเช้าที่โรงแรมเตรียมไว้ให้ เป็นแบบเรียวกัง ลูๆทั้ง2คนไม่เคยทานแบบนี้เลยทานได้น้อย

• 藤松 (8/5): とてもゆっくり出来ました。 - 空間がとても広く、落ち着いた感じの良い宿でした。部屋も広くとてもきれいでした。 大人数で利用しましたので荷物が多かった為、エレベーターが狭くてチェックイン､チェックアウト共に大変でした。
• Yukiko (8/5): 山の中の温泉街 - スタッフの対応、部屋の清潔さ、お風呂の広さ、朝ごはん満足です。私 1人のためベッドのお部屋でしたが、とてもゆっくりできました。大浴場までは少し歩きます。広いです。 街外れの山の中にあり、本当に静かです。 公共交通機関で伺ったので、バスの便があまりよくありません。 朝は亀岡駅まで送っていただきましたが、出雲大神宮に行くバスに乗るには、あと15分早い発車の9時半だととてもありがたいです。
• Lisa (3/5): Would not stay again, not worth the money - Beautiful facility, though a bit dated. Very limited shuttle hours but the driver was AMAZING and helpful and kind. Decor is tasteful and design is well thought out. Traditional Japanese rooms are lovely despite being dated, could use a refresh and better cleaning. In-room onsen was very nicely done. Senior front desk staff were decidedly unhelpful, though junior staff seemed to make an attempt. The Ryokan made mistakes and made very little effort to acknowledge or rectify their errors. Room was not cleaned even when requested (we stayed quite a few days), garbage not taken out even though requested, etc. There was no consideration for billing/booking issues. Would suggest not getting the meal package, it is overpriced and not that great. However make sure you eat before coming as it is a long distance to any other food options. Took half an hour for a taxi to arrive when called, but the taxi service was excellent. Traditional beds were just ok. Definitely expected more for the price. One member of our party chose a western style room and it was very unimpressive. Have stayed in much nicer ryokan for the price and level of service.
• Takafuj (9/5): 野菜まんじゅうの味 - お料理がとてもおいしかった。量も丁度良くまた食べたいです。温かい野菜まんじゅうがとてもおいしく、忘れられない味です。 特にありません。
• Takashi (8/5): 質より品数？ - お風呂がきれい。 建物の構造がおもしろい。 朝食の小鉢ものが手作りではなく市販品の味がした。
• Sophie (9/5): Beautiful and peaceful stay - Our room was very very spacious and comfortable and the outside area with the private onsen was gorgeous. The location and the rest of the property were also very peaceful. This was the perfect night of relaxation and refreshing at the halfway point of our trip around Japan. We were unaware that you had to book dinner a day in advance and the pub and tea ceremony room were closed during our stay which meant that there were absolutely no food options for us aside from the gift shop and vending machines. The staff also had very little English which made communicating all this difficult.

• Yeager (3/5): Misinformed on Dining ruining our relaxing excursion. - Reached out beforehand and was told we would be able to have dinner at the property even though it wasn't included in our booking. When we checked in they told us no restaurant. Me and my wife hadn't eaten much that day up til that point looking forward to the kaiseki, so we had to scramble to find some way to eat. Ended up spending two hours and a ton of walking on our day of relaxation to take a bus to the nearest restaurant as any restaurant in the area was nearing closing. Then had to stressfully rush to the last bus that could take us back towards the onsen. So our day of relaxation turned in to a day of frustration, stress, and more time on our feet. The baths were immaculate, we were only able to enjoy the baths in the morning and they did not have the sauna on which was somewhat disappointing but understandable since it wasn't the main bathing hours. Loved the futons and the tatami mats in the Japanese style room.

• Eric (9/5): Superb - First onsen experience and it did not disappoint. Me and my partner agreed the superior double room w/ private onsen was the most comfortable, nicest stay we've had to date. Our skin feels restored and rejuvenated. Beautiful walks nearby, and multiple eating options a short walk away. There were multiple reviews of guests who experienced their items being stolen by house keeping. Upon entry, there was a notice explicitly stating that the hotel knew this was an issue, and they weren't liable. Because of this, we declined room cleaning. These warnings made arrival more stressful as we had to devise plans to deal with potential theft.
• Sandra (10/5): A little getaway to relax for singles or couples - Right when I checked in, the staff was so welcoming. I was so stressed trying to find the place (and from getting off the airport, etc) and arriving at the Onsen was calming. It’s a traditional Japanese hotel (option to sleep in a Japanese bed or standard bed), the bathrooms were immaculate, and the onsen itself was not crowded so perfect for me. I had breakfast and for one person, it’s a lot of food (I traveled alone) but the food was amazing. It was the best place to stay in the hotel and nothing else. A little spa/sleep session to take a break from all the traveling. Once you check out, they also provided transportation to the nearest train station :) I don’t think I can write anything negative about the place. Maybe just location but you don’t really have control over it if you really like this place that is far from the city. I didn’t explore much either during my 2 night stay since I wanted to just relax in the hotel.

• Richard (10/5): Get transported into a beautiful serene resort - It's gorgeous. It is absolutely stunning. You get transported into this beautiful lobby that instantly inspires. The room that I had was traditional but lacked nothing you'd need to have a comfortable stay. I loved how my outside view was all greenery, mainly trees. It felt private and like I was enjoying a bath in nature. The staff was also very kind and excellent. If you go to this hotel, be sure to call them for a shuttle bus, it makes it a lot easier to reach. No downsides, you get an amazing experience. But if you go, I suggest going for at least two nights, else it'll feel like it's over too quick. This will also allow you to enjoy the surrounding nature more.
