The room smelled like mold, the bed looked clean and the bed sheets looked clean. People all around us that stayed there looked sketchy.

- Richard (10/5): - I came into the Silverstar on my motorcycle and the staff made sure i had a ground floor room so i can be parked with the bike. The park across the st for my morning walk and amenities nearby were really handy. Also very good TV (Rogers Ignite). Definitely good Value for the money and ill definitely come back.. A few roudy people at the back drinking at a patio table off the parking lot. Dingy. Was cheap, but should be cheaper. Need serious cleaning done in the rooms and the stairs, handle bars.

There was mold in the bathroom tub area, dust on the radiator and unfinished grouting on the floor in the bathroom. We did not take showers because of the mold. My husband has COPD and it would have been dangerous for him. I didn't expect the Ritz but I expected something a little better. Disappointing.

- ckedobw (8/5): Comfortable and good value - A basic motel, looks a bit worn on the outside, but our room was nice and clean, warm and cozy. The beds were very comfortable. Front desk young man was very kind and helpful. Out microwave did not work and he replaced it with what looked like a new one in only a few minutes. Good WiFi. Good size bathroom. TV worked just fine - about a 40” I think. Overall, quite happy with the 3 nights we spent there. Again, the polite young man at reception could not have been nicer. Very welcoming. Good value.

- trovaunniep (8/5): Silver Star Motel - My stay at Silver Star Motel was amazing, the pricing is manageable/affordable for friends and family. The Motel is in a great location only a few blocks away from the downtown core for those who want to shop or the dining out experience. The rooms are newly renovated, large in size, the beds are comfy and extremely clean. As a plus the staff a helpful and friendly!

- BikramAhluwalia (10/5): Friendly, affordable, clean, great location - The motel's biggest advantage is its location. It is close to the very picturesque and hidden gem of Little Lake Park which has a long beach, playground, and garden. It has several eating locations including Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Dairy Queen, and Tim Hortons next door. This suits those with young kids. The owners are extremely warm and friendly. The rooms are newly renovated, clean, and comfortable. The owners are highly responsive and customer oriented. It is great value for the price.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Central Midland location - The check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, the t.v. worked and as a bonus the room had a small fridge that I wasn't expecting. The location of the motel was ideal for walking to the marina and the cultural centre. The one thing I would suggest is to bring your own hand soap. The soap provided was not very good.
- Vacation301073 (6/5): Vacation - This motel is operated by a great friendly couple. Our first visit was in June 2019 as we faced a reservation crisis and we were accommodated on short notice. We returned again on short notice this September. Clean room, good Wi-Fi and friendly service. We were happy and will return again. Shall recommend to friends looking for reasonable price.

Water in the toilet was yellow, the faucet has a little filter that was dirty and water comes with problems. Furniture is old and with a lot of scratches, very bad quality of towels and no facial tissues. We didn't feel safe because the window cant be locked and the chain in the door can be easily broken. Price is good location is also good

I was uncomfortable about having no security bolt/chain - especially because I thought that the neighbouring unit was a long-term subsidized rental unit. All in all, I would not recommend it.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Very clean but....... - Room was very clean which was nice. Looked to be renovated "somewhat". Painted over wallpaper, and looked like a new tub toilet and vanity. Beds were clean and comfy. 40 inch tv in SD cable channels. Not so clear. No towel bar at all in bathroom. Asked for extra bath towels and was given 2 bath MATS. Air conditioning unit could have used a clean. One knob broken on very ancient unit. Overall very clean and comfy for a short stay but we wished we had paid a bit more for a chain such as comfort inn.

- fruhling04 (8/5): Friendly, affordable, and accomodating. - I love rustic mom and pop roadside motels and am not very fond of sterile hotels with windows that won't open and additional creature comforts that are lost on me. Don't need all that except a clean room, clean sheets, WiFi, a microwave, and a refrigerator. And I also prefer to park right outside my room. The Silverstar Motel was just what I was seeking and was perfect. In fact, the room was quite large and comfortable The neighborhood was very peaceful for it's location near traffic. I would stay here again.

- OntarioMrs (8/5): Fantastic for the price - My husband stayed here as he had business to attend to and our cottage was rented. He didn't want to spend a fortune and he ended up at the SilverStar Motel. The room was clean and not fussy. Wifi connection was great. Mini fridge, microwave, tv, desk, small dining table with 2 chairs. My husband has had 3 back operations and the mattresses were great. This is definitely NOT a 4 or 5 star hotel, however, considering the price you pay, it is an amazing deal for a motel. You definitely don't come here for the "gift shop" toiletries and that is reflected in the price.

- Jennifer (6/5): Local Midland, Ontario motel - I very much enjoyed my stay at a local main strip motel. The manager was very friendly, courteous, respectful, and helped me change my original booking on a higher level to a lower level where it was free of ice and snow. This motel was located in a high snow belt area therefore safety was my concern. Overall, a very enjoyable experience!!
