• Nicole (10/5): - The couple who run this BnB are wonderful! They were responsive and even helped us find another place to stay when we needed to extend our trip, and they couldn't accommodate the extra days as they were already booked. We loved it and would stay again!
• Patricia (10/5): Great stay, fabulous location - We stayed for two nights in mid-August in order to meet up with family, who live locally. The Geminian is in a brilliant position, really close to the town centre, shops, bars and restaurants etc. It is accessible both by car but also bus or train, being not far from the station. We received a warm welcome from the owners and were provided with patking permits for our stay. The guest house is spotlessly clean in all areas and thoughtfully and freshly decorated throughout. There is a lounge area available for guests to use. Our room was of a good size with storage for our things and pleasantly decorated. The en-suite bathroom was small but perfectly functional. The shower was a bit tight. The owners have thought of everything that guests could need for their stay. The hairdryer was powerful and extra tea/coffee and biscuits provided on request. The breakfast was made to order and both excellently cooked and of good portion. There was also juice, fruit, yoghurt, cereal and toast as well as plentiful tea and coffee. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again for future visits to Harrogate.

Our host was welcoming and friendly and gave great advice on places to eat and information we needed when requested. Our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was everything we needed it to be. We would return to this guest house if we were looking to stay in Harrogate again.

Clean, cosy and close to the centre of Harrogate, with enough distance that you didn't feel in the middle of chaos. We were well looked after from before our arrival and I cannot recommend the place highly enough.

The house is so close to the town centre , railway station etc. The room was immaculate, the bed was comfy . The breakfast was tasty and good choice . When you arrive you get a free parking permit for the length of your stay . What can I say , if you want to visit harrogate stay at the geminian.

The room was nicely decorated with tea and coffee facilities, plenty of drawers, and towels replaced as required. We were given parking passes for our stay, very convenient. Breakfast was excellent, there was plenty of choice. Everything was good, thanks.

One of the best stays of our month long trip - newly renovated and comfortable for a few days stay with lots of storage. The bathroom was one of the most comfortable of all of our stays - good sized shower, towel warmers; we had a few glitches with water temperature and pressure but nothing major. Well thought out renovation with good quality materials. Excellent location close to downtown and street parking is included with some paperwork required, so be sure to ask. Breakfast was probably one of the best we had as well - delicious ingredients, well cooked. My guess is that if the owner/cook had to eat the food, he would be pleased with the quality. Enough said ! PS we were about an hour late due to the road closure with no way to contact our host - but upon our arrival, we got the full welcome - which was a good end to the extra long journey and a great start to a few days in Harrogate !

Cereal, fruit and yoghurt, along with fruit juices laid out for breakfast . Then a choice of a cooked breakfast . Or just poached eggs or scrambled eggs . Whatever you ask for was no trouble to them. Even vegetarian breakfast. Will definitely be staying here again when we visit Harrogate

Great cooked breakfast to start the day with other choices available if that's not your thing. Stayed in a twin room which was in great condition and very comfortable. Guest parking permits are available so you can park right outside the guesthouse.

Only downsides: we were up a lot of narrow stairs; and the water pressure on the top floor for the shower suffered too (nice bathroom/toiletries though). Also, the bed was a little too firm by modern standards - needed a foam topper. But overall, top notch - I've already booked my next stay.

• Jo (10/5): - A five minute walk from the centre of Harrogate, Germinian is an absolute gem of a guest house. Both the owners and the interior are warm and welcoming. Breakfast was relaxed and the food was lovely with a wide array of things to eat. A massive thumbs up and a return visit is definitely in the cards in the future.
• RossendaleRed (10/5): - Check-in smooth and trouble-free even though we were a little early; we were provided with 2 parking permits for the car for days that we were there which meant that it didn't move between arriving and departing so no hassles about find a space in town and as Franklin Street is roughly a 54-minute walk to the edge of the town centre its location is ideal. No expense has been spared with regard to decor, fixtures and fittings, all of which are tasteful without being OTT. Our room (number 2) was at the head of a short flight of stairs at the rear of the house so street noise was not a problem. There bedroom was a reasonable size, perfectly adequate for our needs with quality linens and a very comfortable bed which made getting out of it to go to breakfast a real effort. If I am to make an observation (not actually a criticism as it is a personal preference) it is that I find 'ornamental' cushions which need to be removed to get into bed an irritant and would prefer gybed without them. The en-suite shower room was of the same high experienced throughout. Breakfast served 7.30 am-9.00 am. Branded cereals, fresh fruit and freshly brewed coffee, tea being an option of course, complemented the hot breakfast ingredients which, again, were good quality, especially the bacon (which often lets down some accommodations) . Our host and his wife deserve fulsome praise for the good value offering. I highly recommend the Geminian and if in Harrogate we will definitely stay here

We loved using the maps that Michael gave us to explore the town. And what a town. We visited the Turkish Baths, The Den to play pool, Betty's tea rooms because.... well just because you do, Wettons for an incredible lunch amongst their deli, and a great Turkish and Chinese meal of the highest quality.... Finally, maybe the loveliest crowd of people at the Hales Bar x For a romantic stay, I couldn't recommend the Germinian enough. It was incredible... Thank you x
