Guest Reviews
- Adhton (1/5): Not clean - Not clean Not clean
- Louise (1/5): Disgusting - Leaving. Room had not been cleaned after previous occupiers. Their rubbish was still lying about, used contact lenses and used soap were still in the bathroom. Bathroom was filthy and there was no toilet roll. Beds were full of hair and sand and there were questionable marks on the bed covers. As I reported this to a very stressed manager, who had his boss hanging over his shoulder the whole time but doing nothing to actually help, I was told the room had been cleaned. The manager proceeded to argue with me that the room had been cleaned until he realised I wasn't in the room he thought I was. I told him we were going out for a few hours and requested the room was please cleaned. I was assured it would be. It was not. We returned hours later to the room in pretty much the same condition but with the items of rubbish simply removed. Bed has wet patches where they had clearly just scrubbed the dirty bits and brushed off the sand. I know for a fact the beds were not changed as we checked for marks on bottom side of duvet covers beforehand and these were still there when we returned. Bathroom was still filthy. Not only that our door wouldn't lock so we couldn't leave, as we didn't want to leave our belongings unattended, until the manager came up with a drill and fixed the door. Luckily we darent use the kettle as there were no cups. I understand the manager had a lot on and I do not blame him fully. He had no help and staff clearly just couldn't be bothered to do their job. Manager was very apologetic but this just wasn't good enough. I had to let my 5 year old daughter sleep in a dirty bed that God knows who had been in. Couldn't wait to shower and leave in the morning.
- Andrea (6/5): The owner was was realy nice could do enough for his guests - Loved the location Would have been nice if the owner was expecting us
- Natalie (2/5): - Arrived and nobody around. Rang the number. I was told to wait a while and If nobody turns up ring booking.com. couldn't even get in the room to rate. Left the hotel after an hour.

- Neil (6/5): -
- Joe (3/5): Bad, but I suppose it was cheap - Nothing really, it was quite bad. I don't really have anything positive to say. There was no hot water, the bed was wonky and the staff were inattentive.

- Stuart (2/5): Dirty rooms - Bed was comfortable Dirty room and general poor all round, no staff available to speak to. Booking.com really need to consider if they want to associated with dirty/poor hotels like this
- Manpreet (6/5): -
- Mr Peter W Jennings (7/5): Lots of potential for the hotel but early days. - The price for the room and free parking. No breakfast was available when I stayed.
- Lou (2/5): - Upon arrival travelling from buxton me and my partner had arrived at around half 12 ish although check in wasnt untill 3 i went to reception no ones there so there was a note saying ring this number so rang the number and explained i no im early but just wanted to leave my bags as didnt want to be carrying them atound the airshow to wich the man on the phone replied well ylu cant check in yet... so some young lad came down to what u woildnt even call a reception and peeked through the blinds he look like he had just woken up anyway he gave me the room card and said room 15, DIDNT EVEN ASK FOR MY NAME (THANK GOD THERE WASNT A FIRE) AND THEY DIDNT EVEN SHOW US WHERE IT WAS, anyway me and my partner found our on way up to the room, tbh for one night stay it was do able so we left our bags and made our way out to the airshows. the place was quite in the morning come check out there was still no one around but a box wich said leave key card here so we did so through the whole stay i could have been anyone they was letting in for a place for one night is do able but other than that avoid at all cost it charged me £176 for 2 people for 1 night no breakfast no decent check in or check out saw one person and that's who gave us the card it was awful to say the least NEVER AGAIN if i could get a refund i would. How they call it hotels is beyond my belief needs shutting down
- Simon (3/5): -
- Squires (5/5): -
- Bernadette (1/5): Not recommended - Nothing Nothing food or drink no staff available small and pokey and mikes away from everything
- Fabio (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (1/5): I didn’t stay. The place was so bad I booked another hotel. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. - Nothing I didn’t get any further than reception as the hotel was disgustingly. The smell was horrendous as soon as you walked in.
- Andy (8/5): - It was good for what we wanted last minute
- Andy (8/5): Very good -
- Leah (1/5): Not a good experience - Nothing The room was very small.. The bed was disgraceful the bed was only screwed in properly in one leg. The bed frame was held up with wood, the room was dirty. The wall had holes the curtin dint cover the the window
- Lydene (7/5): Lovely ! - Properly was lovely , need black out curtains as street light lit up the whole room so couldn’t sleep Curtain needs to be black curtain or have some blinds behind so streetlight doesn’t shine through
- Emma (1/5): Someone came into my room while I slept!! AVOID!! - NOTHING!!! From start to finish the hotel was a let down!
Just spent 3 nights at this place, can't even call it a hotel, it's absolutely disgusting!! I stayed here on my own and I got the absolute creeps from the guy at reception from the moment I arrived! The room was filthy, dust and dirt everywhere, tv didn't work, sock over smoke detector, no hot water, no heating, window didn't close, blinds being held together with CHEWING GUM! No toilet roll. I slept every night with a chair pushed up against the door as the doors don't lock from the inside. The guy from reception arrived at my room on my 2nd day, holding a spare key to my room! He claimed he was there to check if I had a key to the room - I was there 2 days! As I went to leave the hotel that afternoon, he called me to reception, claiming there was no booking for me, again I had been there 2 days already and it was him that checked me in! He then claimed I hadn't paid, when I showed him confirmation of payment on my booking.com app, he suddenly could see it on his system. On my last night, I woke to find the chair I had against the door had been moved! So someone had clearly been in my room while I slept!! I could see a mark on the back of the door where the door must have hit the chair when being opened! I feel extremely violated and disgusted that someone invaded my privacy like this. I have contacted booking.com customer service to raise a complaint, awaiting a response.
I quickly packed my stuff and left as quick as I could. Reception doesn't open until 10am so nobody was there when I was leaving. There is a box at reception to put key cards in so I used that and ran out of the place!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
- Tanisha (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good for us as we didn't want to be really close to the attractions. There was regular trams operating too We had an issue where 1 guest took two spaces up for the parking. We asked the owner if anything could be done and they said no but we could park on the street.
There was no hot water in the bathroom
There was a damaged wall looks like it had been punched.
There was also a strong smell of cannabis when in the hotel.
- Megan (10/5): Pleasant - Clean and smelt really nice and clean Nothing I didn’t like
- Carlson (3/5): Poor -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Siobhan (4/5): - T.V’s didn’t work, booking said sofa bed and double bed but it was actually a double bed and single bed, the windows didn’t open which is a fire hazard which the fire alarm went off 7:30 in the morning, upon tidying the room before leaving we found lots of stuff under the bed, underwear, ‘substances’ cutlery, lots of stuff from different people there, not to mention I had 4 children with me, plus very dirty covers and everything overall
- Michael (4/5): You definitely get what you pay for! - +Receptionist was friendly.
-Mouldy shower curtain
-Dirty floor
Was woke up at 3:30am by other guest partying who
clearly had no consideration for others.
- Don (6/5): Pleasant -
- Muhammed (5/5): Passable -
- Marie (4/5): Disappointing -
- David (7/5): Good -
- Marie (5/5): Cheap and cheerful - Bedding and towels lovely and clean. Room old and tired but defo not had a deep clean in a while. Cleanliness
- Becki (1/5): Not booking this hotel again - Nothing, apart from it was close to the dancing venue Everything, the room was dirty, toilet seat was broken, the shower was broken, the room smelled when we walked in, the floor was sticky, the bed cover had a few wet stain patches on it, tv was really small and didn’t work, the main door kept creaking open too while we was in the room
- Jon (2/5): - Booked it, they took my money for the week, got there and it was closed. Total joke but I'm glad. It looked a total dump
- Gaz (8/5): Very good - Cheap & comfortable Once probably top spec, but bodged repairs let it it down

- Brigitta (7/5): Good -
- Pawandeep (1/5): Bad -
- Dawn (10/5): Great stay. - The room was lovely and cosy with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom is so lovely everything you need is there.
The hotel was right on the seafront with parking at the front, that was a bonus for me.
The staff was so lovely.
I will definitely stay here again.
A home from home feel. Nothing.
- Wielgus (1/5): Bad - Location was good All hotel was cold because heating not working, not hot water, staff was rude and not professional, not helpful
- Kiyani (2/5): Very poor - Location staff were friendly Poor heating, roof leaking , bathroom poorly maintained and no towels.
- Linda (1/5): Dreadful - Would ideally like to make a formal complaint about this awful place
Parking was the only good point TV didn't work. No hot water, towels were wet, no kettle or tea bags, no cups, no toilet roll, no soap. Alarm going in middle of the night
- Floyd (2/5): Very poor - 3rd time staying there now and again I had no working tv, or tv remote.
And no toilet roll in the bathroom
- Daz (1/5): Scammers! - Nothing. Got ripped off!
Had to book a different hotel for the night. Arrived at the hotel with no prior warning that my room was no longer available, was told the room had no heating (why have it listed on booking.com then)
The guy at reception told me they had cancelled the booking their end but they haven't, so I've still been charged for booking.
I contacted customer support and they told me there was nothing they could do, as I should have contacted them during the stay.
Nice little scam for the host!
- Parker (1/5): Bad -
- Michael (3/5): Worset hotel I've stayed at - Nothing i liked about this hotel Hotel was cold no heating on no hot water in bathroom, bedroom was cold as only a eletric wall heater on wall no heating in bathroom it was like a fridge in the bathroom this hotel need to be upgraded or turn the cental heating on as this was the coldest hotel I've ever stayed at also the tv in my room did not work and no kettle in room so not happy with my stay at this hotel

- Jeavons (6/5): Pleasant -
- Allyson (8/5): Very good - The bed was comfortable, the price was good. The TV wouldn't work, but maybe it was me, wasn't a big issue. The bathroom was freezing.
- Blain (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (1/5): Would never stay again!!!EVER - Sea view! It was dirty, mould all in the shower, shower head held on by tape. The bed creaked loudly just sitting on it (nothing more) under the bed was absolutely atrocious (left over cake, thick dust, tissues) so call cleaner left his Pepsi takeaway cup in the room. No bathroom paper either. The curtain (only 1 half) didn’t cover the window.
