Room kept v clean A reported broken shower head holder was replaced in a few hours. Everywhere v clean. Thoroughly recomend We only stayed 4 nights. Could do more!

Teri (10/5): This was a perfect hotel in a beautiful spot in the world. - The location of the hotel was perfect -- close to everything but a bit up a small alley so it was quiet. The breakfast was amazing! They served everything from pastries, fruit, to special order egg dishes. We loved the outdoor sitting area near the lobby for gathering before and after outings - also a there is a bar open all day for coffee and drinks. Overall it was a great experience. Highly recommend! Some of the rooms are very small, but that is quite normal for Europe. My room with a balcony had a plenty of space.

The place is clean and comfortable, and staff is very helpful. I thought it was a little expensive, but for Monterosso it was the cheapest hotel we found.
Burton (10/5): The hotel was magnificent, great location, staff, room and breakfast. Truly wonderful. - Hotel Souvenir was a superb hotel. Both Patricia & the staff were excellent and we cant thank them enough for a wonderful stay. The location is amazing and the hotel grounds were truly mesmerising with tropical plants and some great views in to the hills. To get to the Hotel is around a 10 minute walk from Monterosso train station. If you turn left out of the station and walk up the hill you will pass through a small tunnel. The tunnel is great with little displays in the wall and music playing which was brilliant and all the family enjoyed it. Once you exit the tunnel which takes around 3 minutes to walk you will see some arches and a playground which was brilliant and my daughter loved it. If you head up via Roma street and walk for about 3 minutes you will see the sign for Hotel Souvenir. It is then a short but beautiful walk to the hotel past a small church which is really worth a visit. The room was excellent and cleaned daily. Also the breakfast was wonderful and had everything you could ask for. Thank you Patricia for recommending the walk between Riomaggiore & Manarola the views were breath-taking and we were sorry we didn't get to say goodbye and thank you. The Hotel is a 3 minute walk from a beach and there are other beaches just a short distance along the Monterosso front. The Giant statue is a few minutes walk from the train station if you turn right out of it. The train station has great links to Pisa and other places. Also, most of the other villages in Cinque Terre are only a few minutes away on the train. There are lots of place to eat in Monterosso with great food which is well priced. I would highly recommend Hotel Souvenir the staff, room, breakfast and location were amazing and we look forward to staying there again in the future.

It’s located in a great spot walking CLOSE distance to everything that you would want, great restaurants, the main shopping district and the beach. As other reviewers have posted, there is an AMAZING breakfast buffet that is included in the room rate. Made to order eggs, and nearly anything else you would want for breakfast. My favorite was the pile of prosciutto, yummmmmm. The front staff, and in particular Greta, was fantastic. She is bundle of happiness and joy to interact with and answered our every question. My sister was having knee surgery in a week and Greta got us ice in a bag so she could ice her knee. Greta booked taxis, dinner reservations and got me extra towels for the room. The trains run through Monterosso quite often, but you never hear them from the rooms which seem to me to be pretty soundproof. Our room was a bit tight, but this is nothing different than most rooms across Europe that are not in new properties. We made do, and Greta even arranged for staff to remove a chair from the desk in our room so we have room for our TOO MANY BAGS:). I can’t recommend this little gem enough!

David (10/5): - The hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel is in a good spot near all the restaurants and shopping. The rooms are large with enough space for your bags. The interiors of the rooms are modern and up-to-date. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

To keep the lights on you have to insert hotel key, the bathroom light stays on when we did that so we pulled the key to sleep but them none of the plugs worked so nothing charged overnight. Staff was very kind! Nice breakfast with price of our room.

The room I chose a room was extremely small but it was clean. The room looked bigger on the pics. FYI: you cannot park in Monterosso, so there is a parking lot about 1/2 mile from hotel or less. You have to carry your luggage to hotel and the hotel has no elevator. But had a great time is it centrally located.

Danielle (7/5): Convenient, quiet, perfection because it’s in Monterosso. - Off the beaten path. Quaint and quiet. Room was a decent size. Staff were very friendly. A bit pricey. It wasn’t much more affordable than our standard room at Hotel Porto Roca and didn’t have the same location or view. The bed was also VERY stiff. We woke up with lower back pain.

marcusstella (10/5): Excellent Location and Friendly Customer Service from Hotel Staff! - This hotel is located in a fantastic part of Monterosso that is walking distance to restaurants and the beach. The hotel staff were lovely people who provided lots of advice on restaurants as well as evening the Italian language. Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast and even received a morning travel pack on departure due to our early check-out meaning we would have missed breakfast. 10/10 and would stay here again. Grazie!

NESTOR (9/5): Muy recomendable - La atención del personal, el excelente desayuno y la ubicación, muy cerca de varios restaurantes, a 3 cuadras de la playa (guijjarros) y 7 de la estación de tren, sin necesidad de subir escaleras hasta llegar al hotel. La habitación muy pequeña, pero bien equipada y con acceso por escaleras, aunque debe considerarse que la topografía del pueblo (sobre un acantilado, como el resto de Cinque Terre), no deja espacios suficientes para mayor confort.

Karen (8/5): - Hotel was clean and rooms compact. Breakfast had an amazing selection and catered well for out Gluten free friend. Hotel has its own bar, offers beach towels for free. Staff are helpful and friendly. Great location in the older part of Monterosso where all the eateries, shops and bars are. There are steep steps to hotel and several flights of stairs to reach rooms, which wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility problems. Overall a great stay.

Jolie terrasse et jardin, très agréable pour flâner et boire un verre le soir. Le personnel est très accueillant, serviable et très sympathique. La chambre est un peu petite.
