- Robert (6/5): - If you are 6 feet or taller, you won’t be able to shower comfortably. I’m 6’3” and my shoulders were an inch from the shower ceiling. Staff were helpful and super nice, especially with a last minute reservation. There was no hand soap, so I had to use shower gel to wash my hands. The mattress was very hard and thin. I could feel every spring, so I woke a few times during the night. Figuring out the AC was fun, if you can’t read Chinese characters, make sure to use Google translate. Generally the whole facility needs a renovation and update, but it’s not terrible for what it is. I’ve been to worse, that’s for sure.

- Wei Yeng (10/5): It exceeds my expectation. High recommended! - Very good stay! Very good location, less than 5 mins walk from Taichung train and bus station. Very clean and new quad family room. Hot and cold water dispenser at every lift landing. Good service. Allow me to deposit my 2 large luggages with them for one night after my check out so I could just carry a small bag for my overnight stay in Cingjing. Breakfast is very nice and quite a wide spread (mainly chinese food). I find them delicious. Very comfortable stay and great nice and peaceful sleep. Strong wifi. It exceeds my expectation and I would recommend all to stay at Kiwi Express Branch 1 Taichung. The service they provided really exceeds what we paid.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - フリーWi-Fiが使えないことだけが本当に困りました。部屋も廊下も全くダメで、１階のロビーや食堂まで降りないと繋がりません。 それ以外はとても良かったです。部屋はとにかく広い、清潔で掃除は完璧でアメニティも充実、毎日ミネラルウォーターの補充とスリッパ交換あり、無料の朝食も種類豊富で普通に美味しく、スタッフは英語ができて親切、駅前で便利、コンビニや飲食店も豊富です。 他の方が書いているような下水の臭いや騒音や汚れは全くありませんでした。タオルは、不織布の日と普通のタオルの日がありました。 ひとつ気になったのは、高層階なのに窓に格子や柵がありません。うっかり落ちないか、安全面が心配です。 周囲は治安が良く、女一人で深夜コンビニやマックに行っても何も問題なく、安全でした。有名な宮原眼科は徒歩１分。ICカードでバスに乗るとバス代が無料になります。

- vin (8/5): Overall a pleasant Experience - Near to Taichung railway station. Less than 10 mins walk. A lot of dining options and fast food restaurant nearby. Bus stop in front of the hotel. Free breakfast. Same breakfast menu for our 3 nights stay. Food is ok but can see mosquitoes flying around.

- Chuan (8/5): Visiting Taichung. - The front desk lady was kinda rude when we checked in, she told me our visitor can only stay 30 minutes in the hotel after that the hotel will starting make additional charge. I understand over night policy but not 30 minutes rules. The location was great.

- KHIM LENG (8/5): A comfortable stay for family of 4 - The family room is clean and spacious for a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We came at 12 noon and the room was ready for check-in. The hotel is near the Taichung train station and there are many shops and restaurants around the hotel.

- Alexander (8/5): Great hotel in front of Taichung Station - Perfect location right in front of TRA Taichung Station. Quick check-in, free parking nearby (at ASEAN / First Square, 2mn walk). Modern and sober decor, spacious and quite comfortable room with a view, nice buffet breakfast. This time there were a couple of issues with cleanliness (the main one being stains of sweet soft drink left on the table that the cleaning lady did not notice), but overall it was a good stay.

About 10 to 15 minutes to the nearest HSR station by taxi. Walking distance from a famous ice-cream shop and a beautiful man made stream. Recommended.
- Diane Antoinette (4/5): Almost okay - The airconditioning unit in 808 was not functioning well in fact we were sweating the entire night. Though the staff were accomodating and helpful by offering another room to stay in. We thought it would be a hassle so we accepted the fan instead, but it disnt help at all.
- Johno (6/5): Good location if you don't mind cheaply renovated - The Kiwi Express looks okay from a distance but on closer inspection, the finish is cheap looking. The bathroom was a bit small and old and while it was probably clean enough it looked tired and dirty. It did have a shower curtain and the bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. It was good for one night and enjoying the central area of Taichung. There was a lot of construction going in the central area so it was not so attractive. Would like to come back in a year or so and look around some more.

- james (10/5): Great hotel, good breakfast at reasonable price - After researching the review and location, I finally choose this which eventually I will be back here next time cross the Road from railway station and you reached. This is one of the 5 Kiwi outlet along the stretch . My Google brought me to the wrong one for a start. Service is good and polite. The bathroom is spacious and clean, likewise for the room . As for the wifi, there is still room for improvement for connectivity. Amenities are provided and there is washing machine at 7th floor ( as charged) Overall 5 stars from me
- May (8/5): Good location - Hotel is opposite the Taichung Train Station and Ubus counter. Nantou Bus to Sun Moon Lake is within 7 min walking. Convenient location with food and shopping. Zhong Hua Road night market is 10 mins walk from Hotel. Hotel check in staffs are helpful and very friendly, offer good and clear instructions to sightseeing in Taichung. My room as in the picture, clean and bathroom comes with bathtub. Breakfast is mostly Taiwanese style, bread and some cakes are available.

Hotel is a bit old and clieanliness is reasonable for its price. I stayed there for 4 nights and smelt smoke one night. Guessed someone smoking in other room. Fortunately it didn't last long.

- Ray (6/5): Location is the only one I could recommend - It is in general a ok hotel, room wasn't that new and i can barely hear voice from tv even I turn up to the max already. One thing I am impressed is the location, it is within short walking distance to train station and other popular spot for tourists. The overall room quality is below average and the ceiling is super low, Wifi signal wasn't that good.

- Bebe (8/5): Great Location, Taiwanese Breakfast is good - The location of the hotel is very convenient, 2-3 mins walk to Taichung Train Station and bus station, if you take bus to other place within 10km, it is free with easycard/iPass, and you can also rent a ibike to travel arround within Taichung City. Although the hotel is not very new, and the towel seems used for long time, but overall the cleaniness is ok. The staff is helpfull and the breakfast is good than I expected as I like the taste of their taiwanese style breakfast.
