- Zoe (4/5): Do better - I loved the pools I had a very disappointing experience with Allison at the front desk. From the moment I asked for help, she was rude, passive aggressive, and acted like accommodating me was an inconvenience. Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, her attitude immediately changed when I asked to speak with a manager. What’s frustrating is that the manager fixed my situation in less than five seconds, which showed the problem could have been handled easily from the start. Customer service should make guests feel respected and helped, not uncomfortable for asking a simple question. Also, the booking site was very misleading. “Early park admission” doesn’t include the water park ticket so be aware. Id never stay again, my kids had fun though.

Malgré mon arrivée en avance, j’ai été parfaitement pris en charge à la réception par Louis, qui parle très bien français. Il m’a expliqué avec beaucoup de gentillesse toutes les particularités de ce grand hôtel : les horaires, le plan, les différents services… J’ai également reçu un e-mail dès que ma chambre était prête. La chambre était extrêmement propre, l’hôtel est très bien entretenu et la vue sur le volcan est incroyable. Je suis vraiment très satisfait de mon séjour et, à coup sûr, je reviendrai au Cabana Bay à Orlando lors de mon prochain voyage. Merci à toute l’équipe !

The amenities in the suite were very outdated. The sofa bed looked like a dog ripped it up. The soap was old. The shampoo and conditioner was old. The refrigerator did not get cold. The outlets did not work. It was hard to charge my electronics.

- Faye (8/5): A no-brainer stay for a Universal trip. - The location is fantastic. We stayed in a waterpark view room and I really would recommend that to anyone. The room was large and comfortable and we had everything we needed. The hotel itself has a fun atmosphere; we only used one of the pools and the lazy river but they were very good, and the food from the quick service was very nice. The transportation to the parks was frequent and easy to use. Finally, the staff were excellent. Kathryn who checked us in really made the start to our trip feel special. N/A.

- Tammy (9/5): Overall this was a great resort , that had something for everyone.I would definitely, stay at this resort again! - The resort , had everything we needed to have a great vacation. It was close to all the theme parks, restaurants, had transportation, huge pool, Star Bucks , great service, bowling alley and large rooms . We didn’t have a freezer, in the mini refrigerator . Also , an updated coffee maker would have been nice.

- Dyane (4/5): Would not recommend staying there - Location and free shuttle to universal I was told we were being upgraded, but ended up being put in a room that was old and made for accessibility. The bathroom was not relaxing at all. It had a huge, rusty, dirty, folded up accessibility seat in the shower. The floor was open in the whole bathroom with no edging so when you head a shower, the water just leaked all over the bathroom floor. There was no fan in the bathroom so it was very stuffy and moist. I was very disappointed that I was told I was getting an upgrade only to find out that they actually just wanted to move us to the older part of the hotel. The hot tub was extremely small for such a big hotel and it was loaded with kids so we couldn’t make use of the hot tub whatsoever

The hotel itself is expensive to stay but then you add on the overpriced horrible food and the expensive amenities it’s really not good value. The bright side is the staff are friendly but aside from that it’s not a hotel i would come to again

- Carolyn (10/5): Vacaciones Relax en Cabana Bay - El personal del check in nos trató muy amablemente, tuvimos inconvenientes con la tarjeta de ingreso en nuestra puerta y fueron de inmediato a arreglarlas. El ambiente tiene buena energía y la decoración estuvo muy linda. El tener el acceso a los parques una hora previa a la apertura oficial, fue un gran beneficio que se pudo utilizar hasta el dia de nuestro checkout y nos permitieron dejar nuestro auto hasta finalizar nuestro dia en el parque. De hecho que volveremos y nos quedaremos más dias para disfrutar de la piscina y el lazy river. Las habitaciones y camas son pequeñas, la cabecera de una de las camas se estaba pelando el color anaranjado (cuidar ese aspecto porque le baja el orden y aspecto). El ingreso a nuestro edificio no estaba señalizado por lo que nos fue dificil ubicarlo al inicio. El gate para ingresar y salir del estacionamiento nos dio algunas incomodidades porque no leía la tarjeta.

Requested a 1st floor room ultimately was given a room on the 5th floor. Staff was freindly and the rooms were clean. Very convenient to the park. Great for getting to the parks by shuttle.

We were told we were upgraded at check-in due a to a mishap but our room was a good 10 minute walk to the lobby and in another building separate from our friends. The smell was also terrible in our building.

- Tim (3/5): Great location , not great rooms and very noisy ! - Great location let down by slightly dirty rooms that were minimally maintained, housekeeping only do light refresh , we only got sheets changed twice in 12 days ! Not ideal , also extremely noisy at night due to the large amount of teenagers staying at the same time , no control and had to complain multiple times

- Patricia Hoyos (8/5): Buena opción cerca a los parques Universal - La ubicación es excelente, permite la opción de ir hasta caminando a los parques de Universal. Las camas eran increíbles, super ricas para dormir. Nosotros estuvimos en una suite con kitchenette, el tamaño de la habitación era bueno. El desayuno no está incluido y si consideras desayunar en el hotel hay varias opciones de aprox. USD 25 x persona. Si haces uso del lazy river hay que pagar por el flotador como USD 16 x c/u.; recomendación, llevar tu flotador.

- A9201BOwaynem (6/5): Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort - Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort occupies an interesting position within the Universal Orlando portfolio—marketed as a value property, yet benefiting from proximity to a world-class destination. While guests may reasonably temper expectations regarding luxury, the fundamentals of hospitality—functionality, maintenance, and presentation—should remain non-negotiable. During our week-long stay, it became evident that the resort is currently falling short in these essential areas. Within the guest room, several core elements failed to meet even baseline standards. The shower drained at a pace that left standing water underfoot, the toilet operated inconsistently, and multiple electrical outlets were nonfunctional. The in-room safe, a basic amenity, was inoperable. The pullout sofa—an important feature in a family suite—was notably worn and offered little in the way of comfort. Equally concerning was the condition of the broader property. Exterior light fixtures were visibly compromised by accumulated debris and insects, suggesting a lapse in routine maintenance. Several lighting elements throughout the resort were nonoperational. In the main lobby, the large chandeliers—intended as a visual focal point—appeared dulled by a noticeable film of dust, detracting from the resort’s otherwise charming retro design language. Around the pool areas, torn umbrellas further reinforced the impression of deferred upkeep. To the credit of the housekeeping team, the room itself was consistently clean and well-presented, underscoring that certain operational aspects remain strong. However, cleanliness alone cannot compensate for systemic maintenance deficiencies. Ultimately, the shortcomings observed are not a function of the resort’s “value” positioning, but rather of stewardship. Even within this category, guests are entitled to an environment that is fully functional and thoughtfully maintained. At present, the property would benefit from a comprehensive refurbishment and a renewed commitment to detail. With proper attention, Cabana Bay could once again align with the broader standards associated with the Universal brand.

There is everything to make sure kids have the best time There were ducks on the pool and the lifeguard says that they live there. It is really unhygienic to have their poo floating in the water
